Newbie Log

So I did a ton of research, read the forums and acquired a good deal of knowledge regarding gear, diet, pct etc. I'm aware that I'll probably get ripped to shreds for jumping right into deep end, but I couldn't find too many logs by guys that were in my position, so I figured I'd take one for the team and make my own.

I started my cycle after my cousin jumped on TRT through his endocrinologist. He raved about his libido, gains in the gym and overall quality of life enough that it prompted me to get a blood test done. My test was in the low 300's. Not quite low enough for a prescription, but low enough for me to look into a low dose test regimen.

The Cycle:

Weeks 1-3: 80mg Test Prop EOD
Weeks 1-12: 200mg Test Enth E3D
Weeks 1-12: .25mg Adex ED

The Workout:

4-5 days a week alternating between Chest/Arms/Shoulders and Back/Legs/Abs. Run 3x per week for 30 min through the countryside.

The Diet:

More flexible than it should be. Between 2500 and 3200 clean calories every day. At least 250g protein and I haven't tracked carbs and fats at all really. I sprinkle in a little halo top ice cream every once in a while, but that's about it as far as "cheating."

About me:

1. 32 years old, married with four kids, nine cows, a dozen chickens and two dogs. I'm 100% sure I don't want any more kids. Couldn't care less about my ability to reproduce.
2. 170lbs and skinny fat at the start of the cycle.
3. Some gyno before I ever touched anything.
4. Mild weight lifting and about 3 years of crossfit (through my employer) in the past. I watched my coworkers and fellow class members make gains and got left in the dust. DOMS often crippled me for days after workouts, especially with squats. I would walk like a baby deer and give myself a pep talk before walking up a flight of stairs. Not good.

I'm four weeks in right now and seeing some improvement. In all honesty, my diet isn't what it should be. I'm averaging about two beers a week. No other refined sugars or dirty carbs, but macros aren't where they should be. I'm also not sure that I'm eating enough. I started with six perfectly measured meals and now I'm at the point where I'm skipping the shakes and eating two smaller meals during the day and then as much protein as I can wolf down when I get home from work at night. I also started off taking BCAA's, creatine, vitamin D, magnesium, a multivitamin and fish oil. I stopped the supplements as something was jacking up my stomach and I'm not sure what it is. I drink nothing but water and maybe one cup of coffee per day. Other than the two beers a week, of course.

Here's after one month. Not superman, but side by side I can see progress.

Advice is appreciated, but moreso I hope someone finds it useful. I'll make sure I finish it too... it seems like most newbie logs fizzle out.

you have very newbie muscles because you haven't put in much time lifting. you would get far more results from steroids if you built a base and consistency in the weight room. if you look at what i look like you can tell the difference between my muscle and 'newbie muscle'. i have been training for over 20 years

so my advice is you need to put in the hours consistent. the steroids you use won't dictate your results

First off - I give you huge props for putting up a log. That takes a lot of balls.

Second - my advice for you is to nail your nutrition. I train people for a living and I can't begin to tell you the amount of difference proper nutrition makes. Nutrition is everything. It's more important then training, the drugs you are taking etc.

I suggest checking out some of the training and diet blueprints on my website -> https://trevorkouritzin.com/update-from-me-my-current-diet-and-training-program/
It'll give you an example of what a proper diet set up looks like

Thanks gents.

I'm gonna go back to running the diet app at 50p/30c/20f and 3300 cals per day. Thanks for the link Trevor.

Believe it or not, I didn't go into this with a primary goal of bulking up. I was more interested in the energy, drive and overall sense of well being. I figured if I ran a cycle or two I could knock my base test down 50ng or so, which would be low enough to get a prescription without running into issues. The idea of spending the rest of my 30's and 40's with the test levels of a 75 year old man sounded less than ideal. Right now I'm feeling great, the wife is happy and all is well. Progress in the gym is really just icing on the cake. If the opportunity presents itself in the future I'll get a scrip and run a normal TRT dose of 100-200mg/wk.

With that said, if I'm on, I might as well make the most of it. I'll post up another pic at the 8 week mark.

Just doing some quick math...3300 calories at a 50p/30c/20f split would give you 412.5g protein. That's WAY too much protein man.

Do 40p/40c/20f
