Hi all, so after being encouraged by a few of the members here i have decided to put up my cycle log @LevButlerov

A little background:
Age : 40
Height : 180cm
Weight : 89.4kg Fasted
Blood pressure : 132/78
Purpose of this Log : Primarily to hold myself accountable, write things down - see what works, how any adjustments to Diet, Training and Gear affect body composition, sleep, mood - Have a record of it all so i can look back and see what worked and what didn't, I don't know anyone into bodybuilding so putting myself up here for all to critique and hopefully get some advice from those with a lot more knowledge than me 😎

I have been hitting the gym since i was 16, foolishly did a few cycles when i was younger - no idea what i was doing ! managed to give myself every side effect under the sun including Gyno which i ended up getting surgery for, got into powerlifting in my early 20's blew up to a very plump 110kg then injured my back deadlifting and since then have dialed it back a lot,

For the last 10 years i have been sitting between 80-90kg staying relatively lean, watching my diet and doing cardio but never really keeping track of macros or weights.

So back in late august last year i decided to go and get my test levels checked as i was feeling lethargic all the time, no sex drive, struggling to hold on to muscle and received the following results :

I booked a consult with a doctor and got prescribed trt of test enanthate at 125mg week which i have been using up until the start of this cycle which began on the 6th of April, so roughly 6 weeks in now. The following bloods were taken 4 weeks in on 250mg/week. 50mg proviron ED

The cycle has been laid out as follows - titrating up doses and adding it compounds gradually so i can gauge what i am getting side effects from:

Pin M/W/F for more stable blood levels - These are the current doses not what i started at :

Sustanon 250 - 375mg/week
Equipoise 200 - 300mg/week
Proviron - 50mg ED
HGH - 5iu day - after some advice this is being taken 2.5iu before bed 2.5iu on waking
TBOL - Just started this today - will be doing 60mg each day for 4 weeks - never ran this before, seem like an ok dose/length ?
NPP - Have this on hand, would like to start taking it for joints soon, when my lifts go up - most likely just low dose 90-120mg week
Nolvadex - On hand
Caber - On hand
Aromasin - On hand

Im a huge fan of bodybuilding, so would like to step on the stage one day and tick it off my bucket list !
So cycle will be focused around bringing up week points, working on symmetry, and packing on lean size - would like to end up at 95kg 12% or less bodyfat.

Doxycyline - 100mg ED Have added this in a few weeks ago as had a acne breakout (possibly EQ related ?)
This is really a bad idea, you shouldn't use antibiotics long term for weeks, it will destroy you digestion for a long time.
example 7 days antibiotics take 3month for digestion to recover, you will need to get off asap and try different methods tbh

I booked a consult with a doctor and got prescribed trt of test enanthate at 125mg week which i have been using up until the start of this cycle which began on the 6th of April, so roughly 6 weeks in now. The following bloods were taken 4 weeks in on 250mg/week. 50mg proviron ED

The cycle has been laid out as follows - titrating up doses and adding it compounds gradually so i can gauge what i am getting side effects from:

HGH - 5iu day - after some advice this is being taken 2.5iu before bed 2.5iu on waking

You look crazy mate! So lean with nice size and shape.

I'm struggling to believe those blood test results from last year based on how you look. Were they post cycle or something. No way you're looking like you do now with levels like that for any extended amount of time.

Training split loos good. Can you show us some typical workouts.

have you ran test and eq together? You could be fine or could fine the ratio test to eq could have you at low e2 and you could find yourself adding the npp thinking that’s to help with the joints . But it’s crushed e2.

Tbol at 60mg a day is a good dose. I ran it once at 50mg and got great results.

On the right track is an understatement on your end. You are very modest. I haven't seen someone with that type of vascularity in a long time. @TrimJim

This is really a bad idea, you shouldn't use antibiotics long term for weeks, it will destroy you digestion for a long time.
example 7 days antibiotics take 3month for digestion to recover, you will need to get off asap and try different methods tbh

Ahh ok i was unaware about the antibiotics, what do you recommend ? i work in a very hot sweaty environment so even with good hygiene and clean clothes each day was still getting the odd spot on TRT dose but has definitely increased since adding in the EQ and bumping the test up, open to suggestions here, have tried getting more sun, hydrogen pyroxide, salt water, antibacterial soap but didnt find any of it helped enough to clear it up so went to see the doctor about it and they put me on that.

Im currently taking 5g creatine pre and post workout so 10g total on workout days none on rest days
And im not currently taking and digestive or probiotic supplements.... should i be ?

Yup actually stumbled across the podcast recently so have listened to a few episodes so far but will work my way through the collection :)

Nope i have never ran EQ before, been doing a fair bit of research on it, i am someone that aromatises highly and probably overly paranoid about getting gyno again so i dont mind if my E is in the lower end, i dont want to crush it - but at the moment im not getting any low E symptoms, joints feel fine - taking fish oil and a joint complex/multi will run this dosage for another 4 weeks then go get bloods once my tbol cycle has finished and see what my bloods are looking like and make adjustments if needed.

Just want to say i was going through the comments above with the missus last night - shes fully aware of what im doing and i have her support - we were both just honestly amazed at how supportive everyone here is, its really nice to know there are others out there that just genuinely want to see people better themselves and lift each other up, i have definitely found the right place 🙂

Hey so your comment sent me on a search through my phone to see if i could find any sort of before pics, i did notice something interesting looking at pics over the last few years..... Before jumping on TRT there had been almost like a slow regression of losing noticeable muscle on my frame in exchange for higher bodyfat, if i compare pics from the last few years to when i was younger (late 20's) theres a very stark contrast.

I did find a couple - these first ones are from late May of last year, i had just relocated countries it was a very stressful but neccessary time in life, poor diet and no gym for over a month from memory - this is when i started to question my hormone levels as sex drive had gone from little to completely non existent.

And This one is from October - This would have been at a guess around a month in to TRT - going off the pics on my fone before it this would have been after a 10 day Bali trip - mind the beer belly bloat 😬 It was shortly after this that i went on a pretty drastic cut and ate extremely clean for a few months and got down sub 10% and then have rebounded up a bit to where i am now.

Your physique back in May 2025 was pretty good. You can tell that you had a good base size wise. But yeah it's hard to be big and lean, particularly with low T.

With the antibiotics long term it can destroy your life literally, depression, bad digestion, cancer and long list of problems @TrimJim
i suggest you take a salt bath after work or use salt in shower setting like salt scrub its cheap to buy a scrub to use in shower to start
you need to start asap probiotics 30bilion and get spore based ones too and start getting off antibotics, add fermented foods as well

Wee update - Monday is usually a pretty quite day of the week for me so will update workouts each week on Mondays -

Weight has climbed pretty rapidly this week from 89.4 on Thursday to 94.7 this morning - weight is done first thing on waking - usually after a quick trip to the bathroom 🫣

Calories over last 4 days have been consistently around the 4000Cal mark.

So this week was interesting - first time i have written down the weights in at least 15 years.... usually just go in and see what feels good and go with that, want to try more of a progressive overload type program - bump the weights or reps up each week.

First set or two is a warmup set then followed by a couple of working sets - want to try avoid injuries as much as possible so like to warm up pretty thoroughly - usually light movements around 15 mins before getting into any sort of weights.

Focus over this cycle will be to start bringing up weak areas - Chest and Hamstrings are the 2 i want to target first. Always had trouble growing these two areas, particularly chest - pre exhausting seems to have helped a bit but open to any suggestions ! (More volume ? Less Volume ?)

Due to my work schedule the training will be quite different between on/off weeks - was at home this week (OFF) so that means more time - more volume, next week will be at work (ON) so shorter workouts and less volume, seem to be growing ok doing this, equipment is different at the two gyms i visit so there will be some inconsistencies in the weights im writing down just to confuse things - will label each of the weeks either OFF or ON.

Thanks for the advice bro, ill grab the stuff you listed tomorrow, i definitely dont want to be on antibiotics but also i hate the site of acne - dead giveaway your on gear, it just seems to be getting worse at the moment even on antibiotics 😒 How do a lot of the pros and big boys running large amounts of gear have such clean healthy looking skin year round ?

Wee update - Monday is usually a pretty quite day of the week for me so will update workouts each week on Mondays -

Weight has climbed pretty rapidly this week from 89.4 on Thursday to 94.7 this morning - weight is done first thing on waking - usually after a quick trip to the bathroom 🫣

Calories over last 4 days have been consistently around the 4000Cal mark.

So this week was interesting - first time i have written down the weights in at least 15 years.... usually just go in and see what feels good and go with that, want to try more of a progressive overload type program - bump the weights or reps up each week.

First set or two is a warmup set then followed by a couple of working sets - want to try avoid injuries as much as possible so like to warm up pretty thoroughly - usually light movements around 15 mins before getting into any sort of weights.

Focus over this cycle will be to start bringing up weak areas - Chest and Hamstrings are the 2 i want to target first. Always had trouble growing these two areas, particularly chest - pre exhausting seems to have helped a bit but open to any suggestions ! (More volume ? Less Volume ?)

Due to my work schedule the training will be quite different between on/off weeks - was at home this week (OFF) so that means more time - more volume, next week will be at work (ON) so shorter workouts and less volume, seem to be growing ok doing this, equipment is different at the two gyms i visit so there will be some inconsistencies in the weights im writing down just to confuse things - will label each of the weeks either OFF or ON.

Looking good mate.

Regarding hamstrings, can you get a second leg session in? Would end up being a PPLRULR split by the looks of it. I like the John Meadows method of leg curls first each workout. I agree it makes the following quad movements feel better as well.

Regarding chest, how do you feel activation wise on chest presses? Is it possible your delts/tris do a lot of the work?
