I'm going to be going to see a doctor about getting on testosterone replacement therapy and I need some tips and advice. What are some things that I should be asking him, and what are some dosing protocols that I should be looking at doing that I can suggest?
I'm 48 years old, 215 lb, and 20% body fat. I've been overweight for a few years and I feel like my testosterone levels might be low.

Cart before the horse...ask the dr to do a full hormone panel check...and then once you have the results you can plan accordingly

You could go get a blood panel done on your own before seeing him, this would tell you if your test is low amongst other things... Chances are if it's not you won't be prescribed anything. Don't know how your health system works but just do whatever works out cheapest in regards to getting tests done because you will need them before your prescribed anything.

You should get bloods done first for hormones.

You need to take a good look and understand what you're seeing in your blood work. You also need to figure out a game plan to get on proper TRT. I see a lot of these clinics putting their clients on way too much TRT and then throwing other drugs at the problem instead of just putting the person on the correct dosage in the first place.

Bros, you should sit down with him and figure out what works best for you and you should make sure he got experience.

Testosterone replacement therapy is a big deal and it's a huge decision. You're 48 years old and you're not 28 years old. That makes a difference.

It was at the front of my mind because I was hanging out with a chick I ski with. Get this: she’s 24, weighs 74 pounds! and her doctor has her on thyroid medication and diagnosed her hypothyroidism. She actually has some muscle and fat on her, she would be absolutely tiny no matter what, but I was shocked. How is this possibly right?

"hypo" or "hyper" thyroid... my God she's hypothyroidism and still only 74lbs? I think she's bulimic or anorexic, you ever see her eat? Or lemme guess, she's the kind that can out-eat you and still not gain a pound?

I saw her blood test for thyroid antibodies. 400. So consistent with hashimotos. But I’m still skeptical. She’s got bad ibs. She does eat but then she just has to go home and be miserable. Her sister is like 300 pounds lol. I don’t think she’s anorexic. She doesn’t have the scary hip bones or anything. She actually looks good. She’s got muscle from skiing and she’s got healthy boobs and butt. But idk. Seems like she’s going to be seriously suffering in a decade or so
