A Day in the Diet of Dylan Gemelli

I am actually experimenting with non meat sources of protein...mostly egg whites and flaxseed, which is EXTREMELY high in protein(45-60 g per cup and a half depending on type) and also quite possibly the most anti-inflammatory food you could put in your body. Gotta use whole flax, not ground to avoid most of the phyto-estrogenic properties it can have...

Why avoid meats? Mainly as an experiment, but also to reduce my acidic metabolic load as animal protein is extremely acidifying to the body whereas egg whites are neutral. Experiment is to see if it helps with psoriasis, and early returns two weeks in suggest it does...in reality it is an indirect help as it reduces the metabolic work load on the body, allowing it to clear the excessive toxins more easily...

Also use either Plant Fusion protein or combo of Organic Yellow Pea Protein and Sprouted Brown Rice protein which form a very good amino acid profile, very high in leucine due to the pea protein, one of the few good vegetarian sources of this AA, which is the hormonal marker the body looks at to gauge protein levels, and as such the most important AA of them all...

Gemma Pea protein is always a nice choice. True Nutrition often has it cheaper than whey + higher LEU content

Hey Dylan,
Your diet and workout regimen have been stuck in my head for the last two days, primarily because my diet is my biggest stumbling block. I can work out hard and feel entitled to 2 bowls of cereal...or whatever. But basically everyday I step out of bounds. My real cutting goals remain just out of my reach due to my own resistance to stick with a diet regimen. Honestly I am envious of your will power..however I am also inspired! Just a couple of questions...Do you ever have a cheat day? I see very little carbs in your diet...ever any sweet potatoes or complex carb with your protein and veg meal? How long have you been maintaining this diet?
lol..thanks

He doesn't have cheat days ever. ...I think he said last time he cheated was thanksgiving but I'll let him chime in and tell ya lol

Dylan Gemelli doesn't have cheat days. He doesn't miss a rep or a step, even chuck Norris would be impressed.

Crazy dedication... I personally could never imagine eating that clean for a month, let alone a year. Big props!

Again Wow,
Not sure if I feel inspired or defeated. I work as a chef..so needless to say temptation is huge!
However...lol..I am strongly thinking about improving my diet further.

Thats got to be difficult.
Most chefs have lbs on them. In order to toss out a good dish you need to try it 1st.

Sorry to dig this up again Dylan, but I was just wondering how you cooked your creation combo with the Bob's Red Mill products. I have all of these ingredients on hand, but I am curious as to how you go about doing it. Looks delicious!

im happy to answer brother... here's what i do... i take about 3/4 serving of oat bran, 1/2 serving of muesli, full serving of wheat bran... i also add a half box of raisins... i cook it in almond milk... after i take it out i add 1.5 scoops of protein... generally either peanut butter crunch or cinnamon bun or a combination of both... i mix it together... then i drizzle about 1/4 serving of peanut butter over the top and spread it after its cooled a few minutes... sometimes i add some stevia or a natural sweetener as well... not much, just a little bit... it tastes so good bro... i have it twice a day because its my main carb source...
