Best strength building

I know most use AAS for bodybuilding and physique but does anyone here do powerlifting or strongman training? What’s the best way to add serious strength. I’m not strong by any means, been overweight my whole life and training les than 3 years. My bests are 435 deadlift, 290 bench, and 345 squat. Those should be going up once I get over this low back strain. Just recently did a bet squat 275x10.

What’s your personal bests? What do you like to train the most?

There's many good methods. Have you tried the "5×5"

When I first got into lifting I did Starting Strength and liked it. Within the last year I have started doing the Juggernaut Training System. They offer several different training styles and use an excel spreadsheet to make everything simple to use. I started on powerlifting program and just switch to the power building program about 6 weeks ago. One day I’d like to work in an extra day of training for strongman lifts and events. I like doing fun things and being functional too.

my roots are powerlifting bro. i went back to it in my early to mid 30's and got super strong with the help of steroids. however my advice to those of you who strength train is slow down and listen to the body. i got 3 herniated discs and a torn rotator cuff from over training and pushing too hard. if i could go back i would have slowed way down. having said that i don't miss it at all, i love what i am doing today and that is being fit and healthy

im no strength trainer or powerlifter personally but thats not my preference nor how i train however ive had huge success in strength increases with many cycles ive ran... many people use steroids for the strength increase
That would be my main reason for using AAS and really the reason I’ve been trying to learn more about them. Obviously increased muscle mass is a bonus and increased muscle will help with strength. I want to be stronger though, not bigger.

I just started training more for power. I cant squat or deadlift anymore because of my herniated discs, but I'm working on my bench a lot, and plan to compete this summer in it. I'm currently at 200lbs with a 405 lb bench. I can do pretty well with that especially at my age being 45. I'm looking to get my bench up to about 425 by summer. I'm going for 415 here in a couple weeks so I think the goal is pretty realistic.

That’s pretty good. I weigh 225 but I have pretty high BF. I have made pretty good progress on my squat and deadlift this last year but I’ve also injured my lower back, I think my QL, and it flares up frequently. My chiropractor tries his best but I think I may go see a physical therapist to see if I have any major issues that need addressed because I can’t keep lifting and getting strains. I’m getting close to a 300 bench, 400 squat, and 500 deadlift but I want to be able to be more functional and mobile too.
