Cutting on TRT

Hey guys, first of all I'm still new to the forum and learning my way around so I apologize if my posting etiquette is a little off. I'm not exactly sure when it's appropriate to keep a thread going or start a new one. Didn't want to keep changing topics in a single thread.

So long story short, I am getting ready to PCT off TRT (Dr. prescribed) after a year on. I also need to cut 6-10% bf as well. Since I am already on TRT would it be beneficial to remain on while I cut to help maintain muscle? Then come off and start a long PCT? Or should I go ahead and come off as soon as possible to give myself the best chance of recovery?

I won't go in to why I am coming off or any of that as it has been discussed on other threads.

TRT was my first experience with AAS

Age: 41
Weight: 205 lbs
BF: ~20%
Pre-TRT Test Levels: 536 Total / 8.3 Free

It's appropriate to start a new thread in this situation imo.
And I had to read into the old thread real quick otherwise my answer would be different but anyways...
You should come off as soon as possible. Given your reasoning and goals.
You'll always be able to lose body fat, however, we do not know how well your HPTA will recover (I'm not trying to scare you tbh I think you'll recover relatively fine and the brothers seemed to think the same way).

I'm not 100% on this b/c you're body is trying to reboot, but you could probably get away with a very conservative caloric deficit and still recover. If not maintenance will work ofc.

Thanks! Guess I should have added more detail to save you some work. As I said, still learning the forum. I didn't want to repost my entire story on every thread I start.

if its dr prescribed stay ur ass on , your gonna need it anyways again …. trt is for life , its not cycling . dial in your levels , if possible try and get to 100-120 mg test , inject subq three times a week , train cardio hiit no longer than 20-25 mins , light weight high reps , eat as clean as you possibly can !!!!!

It's up to you man. Having higher test levels is obviously going to be beneficial when cutting but that's not to say you can't do it naturally as well.
Like I said it's up to you man.

Hey Nasty, I definitely understand TRT isn't cycling. The problem, as I went into on a previous thread, is that the dr probably never should have put me on TRT and I never should have agreed to it.

I had mid 500 total T levels, was 185lbs and around 15% bf, benching 275, squating 305 and deadlifting 405. Not huge numbers by any means but I'm a regular 41 year old guy with a 9 to 5 job, trying to stay healthy and in shape. I don't compete and have never used AAS so I don't think my lifts were all that bad.

But the effects of turning 40 were getting to me a little and I decided to try TRT. Now the goal is to run PCT and see if I can at least get back to 500+. Maybe a pipe dream but I have to try. Really been regretting going on TRT prematurely.

I haven’t read other thread , my apologies . Why the regret for starting trt ?

What are your levela now and what are you running?

Why do you want to PCT if you are on TRT? You're on TRT because you need it.

Now that I am more knowledgeable, I would totally disagree with the fact that I needed TRT given my Pre-TRT numbers. I'm on TRT because the low T clinic is only in it for the money and I didn't do enough research initially.

Unfortunately, I may now need TRT. Guess we'll see after PCT.

If I can get back to around where I was before, I'll take it. Maybe I'll run some SARMs or eventually even try a test cycle

My total test was mid 800s on my last bloodwork. Don't have the results in front of me at the moment so not sure about the other numbers.

I'm on 150mg Test Cyp a week.

And I'm getting totally f**cked by my clinic at $145 for 5ml vial at 150mg/ml.

Just bumped up from $125 which was already ridiculous

i can't tell you how many guys come to me in your situation where a doctor put them on TRT and did not explain to them what happens

you have 2 options going foward

1: run a long PCT then bridge naturally with n2generate.. test your #'s and see if your HPTA comes back
2. just stay on TRT for life, you can find a new doctor or do self TRT

don't run a cycle until you figure out those steps first
