It would definitely be better but I would definitely not send it to your place under a different name. If anything happens you're screwed since you may need to have ID with the name on the package to pick it up if the courier can't deliver it for whatever reason that day or you are not home. Can get a po box if you want.

Yeah PO box is the safest option in my opinion!
if your source allows to ship to a PO box that is the best way to go, you can get a couple of them around town
I don't know why people are saying above to use a fake name though.
1. you need to show ID to get a PO Box in the first place
2. all international packages need to be signed for and if your ID doesn't match whats on the package guess what? they have the discretion to not give it to you. and it isn't like your PO box will match your ID, so i would say fat chance of you getting it. you need to match the names. and no they aren't just going to leave it in your PO Box, you have to sign for it up front.. they will leave a note in there
3. mailing to a friends house is a good way to get your friend in hot water if something happens. and if he opens the package or his wife opens it i am not sure he will appreciate you sending illegal to to his house. so i have to scratch my head at that suggestion too.
PO box at the post office is way cheaper than using UPS store.

Honestly I just order to a couple different addresses but always use my real name. I am never there to sign for the package so I have to pick it up with ID.
here's what i do... get a mail box, not a PO box... an actual box like at a ups store but i prefer a local store... you have to show id but you can add other names to the box, which i do... they sign for everything at the desk when its received for you as opposed to the usps where YOU would have to sign... i put a business name or something else on the box and have it sent to that.. po boxes are not a good option

I use my name and have it sent to my house. Personally its kind of doubtful that there is gonna be some sort of "sting" over one small order sporadically over the course of a year. Plus the whole having to sign for it. Just taking a chance on losing an order by not using your real name. Now if somebody is ordering shit once a week, that may be a different story. Lol. And just because you sign for something, doesn't necessarily prove your guilty.

thank you bro idk what all these dudes were talking about. Getting to mailed to you like you said a small order over the course of a year isn't gonna get jammed up especially if it just enough for one maybe 2 cycles
all "these dudes" could have families, have a public name etc... all these dudes have shit to lose and all these dudes actually care.. you do whatever you want man... i'll tell you what, when you get a seizure letter from the government you will realize all these dudes were right...

I have po box but I showed my license to post shop for that..
All domestic parcel coming to my po box without any trouble. All international parcels and domestic with signature on delivery.. i have to collect from post shop.. they leave card in po box that mail waiting for u to collect..
And you can’t use fake name for that.. they match your name with parcel..
