I always do glutes and sometimes I bleed like a stuck hog and sometimes not at all

Yes, I've never done delts, but I've always done glutes nothing else, yes it is normal .. I generally keep the needle 30 seconds or more before pulling it out to make sure no oil comes out too .. if oil came out you just lost some of the gear .. you can easily tell when it's mixed with blood .. but yes it's normal to sometimes bleed a lot and some other time to not bleed at all ..

I only dose glutes and as long as you are in the upper outter quadrant you are safe. A little blood is nothing ive had clean pins with not even a drop then others where a little river will come out but thats why as others have said inject the oil slowly and wait a few seconds after fully injected so no oil leaks out.

Although I have never bled anything approximating a significant amount of blood while pinning or being pinned, it does happen. It's simply a part of what we do.

of course it isn't normal. you hit a vein thus there was blood

you probably also were moving the needle around so much that you were more likely to hit a vein

Exactly! That is why it is best to have someone else inject your ass. If you don't believe me, then just as Mark McQuire and Jose Canseco.

I probably shouldn't have used completely normal but yeah as I tried to poorly point out if it's nothing excessive I wouldn't worry about it too much as this was his first time shooting there as well.

But I should've be more careful with the words I was using. Sorry.

Like mobster said a quarter inch over and you'll be good I have a decent sized vein I've hit before actually squirted when I pulled out the needle lol you use that spot as a guideline where not to go and go on either side of it a quarter inch. Also make sure you pull the needle out straight as you can nick veins on the way out. Once you know where your sweet spots are you should only get a drop or so or none at all.

This helped me a lot when I started pinning. Was scared of needles for one so I never watched getting a shot. Very informative, I wanted to know all I could so I didn't hit my sciatic nerve. Still to chicken to try a quad shot though hahaha I also watched you tube videos they helped me judge angles and what not
