Hey i have a question about someone with HIV using steroids. I ended up with a really bad infection on my foot and while in the hospital they also told me I was HIV positive. all that partying I had done had caught up to me. would it be safe for me to use anabolic steroids or no way? I am currently down to 160 pounds at 6 foot tall. I know steroids are good for prevening muscle wasting so that is why i am asking.

Most HIV guys are using steroids and HGH, doctor prescribed. You should ask for TRT and HRT. TRT with testosterone cypionate, and HRT use hgh and peptides to keep your body from breaking down.

I am very sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I agree with Mr. Haskell. Seek out a good, progressive doctor. Best of luck going forward.

Hgh and smart steroid use. Don’t abuse steroids as they will compromise your immune health

Call it what it is. Taking coke etc and getting high.

Wow - as a moderator, was the necessary? My guess is that he's probably dealing with all consuming emotions and overwhelming regrets. I would bet my bottom dollar that it was difficult for him to reach out and type his question. I asked a question last month on here that was personal and difficult about something I am suffering - and tit tool me a few days, since I knew I wanted help, not to be put down. Sorry - that is the disability attorney in me.

So here's the thing - if you call it partying you're making it sound attractive and good. Yet here's a member who, if he did what I think he did, took his drugs via injection (so maybe heroin) using dirty needles etc etc. And now they have HIV. If they call what they did 'partying' how else does anyone else thinking of partying learn?

Now you might argue it's not for us to judge. I didn't. I said call it what it is. It wasn't a party. No one had cake. No one was celebrating an occasion. If they danced it was cos they were high. So it's drug taking. Call it what it is. I didn't address my thoughts to the kind of person they was. Now if you're an attorney you need to notice stuff like that. As an educated person you'll know that they treat HIV patients with steroids as a means of retaining any losses of muscle tissue - I'm not seeing you post helpful advise to that end in this thread. If you was this sites attorney wouldn't your advice be that we would need to ensure certain things are made clear when we offer advice? One issue might be (more so here in the UK) making sure any members were old enough etc etc. It wouldn't be worrying about whether or not I MIGHT have hurt someones feelings.

It's no more or less better or worse than when we tell guys under 25 not to use steroids. Or other users DNP. Or still more insulin. There's good reasons for doing that and it's as much the person asking a question as it it the 100's of viewers reading. You're worried about one member being put on the back foot by straight talk (heck it's part of the 7 steps too) - I'm concerned with the 100's of others who will read this thread and be influenced by the sugar coating needed.

He's been given good advise. First off identify what, if any affect HIV will have and then, if it includes such (muscle loss) treat accordingly (under a doctors supervision). Finally make sure to adopt good habits if he decides, as it seems, to go on cycle as a means to add muscle because it was bad habits that had him end up here. So clean sterile pins, wipes and proper disposal of the same. Rotate sites as a site infection, when you've got HIV, will be one hell of an issue.

Straight talk. No sugar coating.

These are usually prescribed by your doctor if you are HIV positive

IIRC not everyone who is HIV positive shows or has the same issues. One point, addressed by others, is remaining free from other medical issues. It's not HIV that fucks you, it's the other diseases you can catch and which you no longer can fight as well that puts you on your ass. It's also worth adding that, unlike the 1980's, being HIV positive is no longer quite the death sentence it once was (a little like some forms of cancer was to our parents and grand parents back when they didn't even like to use the word (1940-1970's).

So here's my advice. Do not go on a self prescribed cycle. If you show any signs of muscle wasting go get proper medical treatment. I'd be concerned as to the sterility of ANY UGL sourced steroids if I had HIV. What I and other potential users might consider nothing and have our immune system deal with easily you might not. When we have, as we do, members asking about PIP, swellings and the like it's often as not something that goes in a few days. It's rare to have them need to visit and ER. With HIV it's another issue entirely.

And for readers of such threads - take care to learn from the mistakes of others.

Wow - are you formulating these opinions based on assumptions which you are making out of this guy’s one short question? Not sure how you get to the needles without having any facts? Maybe it was banging hot girls and a condom broke, how about that? Do you think that it’s kind and supportive to unnecessarily insert harsh opinionated comments into a post like this? It’s not necessary, it’s unhelpful, it’s unsupportive - when a person is simply looking for help. I get that your 24k posts in, but if I owed this forum, you would be terminated.

As for my helpful posts - I come to this forum as a newer member, as another longtime member from another forum - for help, guidance, advice and assistance from members who have experience and knowledge.

I've $10 says I'm right. IMO use of the 'party' analogy has become 99.99% a chance of 'we took drugs and got high'. Worst case scenario is I get to offer an apology to the OP. And cough up $10 to a charity you can choose (perhaps one connected to disabilities?). Ignore my other 24,999 posts and focus on this one. Finally, I'd need to be employed and paid for my replies. Neither is correct. I'm not protecting a source of income. You might also be shocked to hear that members have also said 'sometimes brutal...direct... says it like it is...' and so on. What about my thoughts regarding any such advice you'd give as an attorney? Would you, as I feel, agree that it's important we, the forum, keep an eye on the bigger picture too and not just on freedom of speech (ironically allowing for you, me and the OP to speak exactly as we have). And isn't your opinion of me based on a reply?

My advice includes being open about what it means to party and ensuring any replies aren't just directed at OP's but, as above, any young and or impressionable watchers and readers. Also plenty of members like yourself are more than capable of offering advice. Jump on in. You'll note my replies aren't like yours - 'sack the mod who replies in away I don't like'. I took care not to attack the OP himself - other than use of a turn of phrase.

Again, you are making opinions based on your own assumptions that facts are true. You don't make sense and this conversation is going in circles. #unsubscribe
