Approved Log My First Cycle Log

Thats the thing, i was resting. Lol. And no i just heard from my doc he wants to see me in a week before deciding if i need imaging. Brutal. Going to try urgent care in barrie tomoro if i can.
I agree just do it and advocate for yourself; screw our medical system.

It doesnt anymore. Lol
Im going to let doc know tomorrow that ill be going to another clinic to get looked at for an imaging req if they dont give one, or wont give me priority.
Crazy how hard we need to fight for our healthcare here. Hopefully it's nothing too major and doesn't need any kind of intervention. God knows how long that will take

Update: Yesterday i didnt bother logging. My tear flared up pretty good, not sure how i irritated it but it kept me up til 3am and still hurts now. There was no cardio yesterday because of it. Will go for a walk if it settles down.
Is Advil helping at all? Atleast enough to help you fall asleep maybe?

ER doc said tylenol only with baproxrn and these muscle relaxers. Takes the edhe iff i guess.

The first week was like 4000mg tylenol daily with 30-40mg melatonin at night with 6iu gh to sleep lol.

I got good news to post about later concerning imaging though so that worked out.

Week 1 Day 3
Grade 2 Lat Tear Week 2 Day 2
Update: Okay so good news with getting imaging. Bad news first, spoke to my docs nurse today and my doc has decided he needs to reassess the ER doctors diagnosis before considering imaging. The earliest they could fit me in is next tuesday, i said fine but im going elsewhere to get msk requisition and physio referral.

Was planning on going to barrie urgent care using 2hr 20mins (one way) of public transportation to get the req and referral but i couldnt find a gauranteed msk ultrasound even in barrie. I found one in midland and when checking out midlands urgent clinic website, i found a regional virtual urgent clinic.

I made an appointment for an hr later and withing 10mins of my appointment i was emailed an msk requisition and physio referral to take to my places of choosing.

10 mins to get what i need and my doctor wanted to make me wait over 2 weeks. All i can say is fuck him.

No cardio today, but its was a good day for the lat so will try and gym tomorrow if theres not randomly an opening for msk tomorrow. Might attempt legs lightly. Was a low protein day.

Amazing effort to update while this injured bro. And continuing to advocate for yourself is paying off, you're not just rolling over like a wet noodle feeling sorry for yourself, you're using your vampiric sleep schedule to get shit done great work!

I remember well you mentioning the naproxen and muscle relaxers helping you to sleep especially in the first few nights. Where are you at with sleep last night? I'm hoping the tylenol doesn't mess up your gut I'd definitely stay stocked on the digestive enzymes and even add one too.

All i can say is fuck him.
No kidding, these days we have to do it ourselves, including bloodwork!

HGH 6iu split AM/PM
Have you noticed the split dose helped with the tingles from 6iu bolus qhs?

Its has gotten a little vampiric again hasnt it eh?

Much better than the first week, thats for sure. Ive backed the tylenol way dowm by now, im sitting at 1000ish mg. Only taking some when i tweak it. Its manageable now without tylenol if i dont move it much.

Still taking 2 digestive emzymes daily.

Yupp, though physio will be a no go. Its going to be a self-rehab.

Yea it definitely did help, so ill keep 6iu up for recovery and maybe finish the cycle at 6iu as well.

Im not sure if healthcare is great anywhere, but as bad as what you're going through sounds...it could be worse...you could be living on the east coast!...would have been a 2month wait to see your dr (if by some miracle you have one) and then you would be lucky if he didn't offer you MAID

I may share the whole story of what happened to me after the car accident with the medical system on the podcast, I have to wait for some of the legal stuff to get done first though.

But like Harley said, well done for advocating for yourself, its not easy to do when youre hurting.

Thanks bro. Yeah therell be no physio though. I only have ohip coverage and 2 public physios intown here are a 6-10month wait and an 8-10month wait.

Im not even going to try barrie, they have 5 times the population and still only have 2 public physios. Lol

The only reason the doc wants to see me so quick is because i went to ER. If i had of just called it would have been 3-4 weeks. But 2 months is ctazy. It definitely could be worse for sure.

How longs the legal battle been. My ma got hit by a drunk driver and it just settled last year. Took 7 years in court.

Ya you got this bro and EVO's got you too!
Ill tell you what, im not taking the bus to the gym again for atleast another week. This was a bloody mistake. Im not entirely sure what ill even get done when i get to the gym after 20 mins of this transit helll.

Ive underestimated how much you stabilize while even sitting on the bus. And the seats, these shitty fuckin seats.

This is so stupid im laugjing in pain.😭:ROFLMAO:

Its been almost two years, I know sometimes it can take longer, I hope mine gets resolved soon but I wouldn't be surprised if ot does go longer.

Hope your mums ok

Ma didnt get too hurt, but the major concussion gave her a permanent brain injury. Shes doing really good now compared to after the accident.

Insurance company lowballed settlement and ma had to prove to many doctors that although shes physically fine she has permanent brain damage and impairments that arent visible.

Insurance company fought tooth and fuckin nail.
I know all about this, insurance companies are the devil, their lawyers are evil...and thats putting it lightly.

Nice find with the virtual clinic. I'm with you bro, fuck that doc. Way to take your healthcare into your own hands and stay persistent

Thanks bro. Just getting no physio. Its a 6-10month wait with ohip coverage.
Too damn many boomers bro. Resources are so tight. My best friend from childhood is a physio and he just moved from a private clinic to a hospital. Easier work at the hospital apparently. Less work lol

Yeah only 2 places in orillia do ohip coverage. Same with barrie and midland only 1.
Oh wow...slim pickings. Pretty old population up there too.

Well once you figure out exactly what's wrong I'm sure you can hop online and dig yourself up a physio plan.

Rehab Cycle:
Week 1 Day 5
Grade 2 Lat Tear: Week 2 Day 4
Update: Alright bros, had a wicked work out. After not lifting for a week or so for the obvious reason and starting the rehab cycle, my leg pumps felt straight atomic. Though i only raised test 15.5mg to hit 250mg and added 20mg var, with the time off combined the workout was crazy good even if it was minimal.

I did only 3 exercises and kept reps high and weights low but still smashed failure every set. I chose only seated leg lifts for stability, so my wouldnt activate my back/lat.

The worst part pain wise id have to say was riding the damn bus there and back. The worst exercise was seated calf raises i think because there is no back rest.

The pain i got from the bus is mainly in the portion of the lat along spine, where as the main tear pain is just mostly from getting ready, changing etc etc. I suspect the spot along spine could be another small tear as i felt movement there as well when it tore. Inaging will clear it up, would be nice if its mildly injured only. Lol

Overall glad i lifted, even though im becoming more incapacitated as time moves forward. I imagine ill be fully crippled by morning.

I think i have an idea for biceps, triceps, and traps involving resitance bands if i can find my kit i have here.

As for physio, itll be self rehab. Its a 6-10 months wait here with my coverage.

Honestly the biggest thing is the constant moving of the bus. A back cushion might help but i think ill be alright in a different position. We will see when i make another attempt.

Im down for today atleast.

At least you’re getting after it brother. Most would quit and shut down after an injury like that and you’re making it work.

Update: A big thank you to @wye. Your a gentleman and a scholar. A true canadian. @wye sent me both BPC and TB for my lat tear. Itll be a big help towards recovery and i made sure to let him know ive saved his return address so i can return a gift when i can. Hes a true EVO brother.

On to the aftermath of yesterdays epic return lift. Im bloody sore in both good and bad ways. Lats sore close to spine, but the length of the outside of lat wasnt bad at all. This morning there was touch of soreness along it, but it finally felt like a good stretch after not moving it much for 2 weeks. Was mostly from changing clothes, and using that arm a little more than usual.

The good hurt, is my legs. Cooked my hamstrings well done for sure. Cant wait to wreck em again.

I think its still a touch early, but i believe i may be able to start light stretching on monday. Once its able to stretch good enough, i should be able to use the full arm supported bicep and tricep machines.

Should be able to handle kitchen stuff better now, will try and get a few chicken cooked. Diet was shite today. Got to be sparing on this gross vega as well.

This is actually a great update you're not overdoing it and slowly healing I can tell by your posts. You were quite sassy for a few days there LMAO :p:ROFLMAO:... juuuust messin' with you you're dealing with this really well considering.

Your diet despite the food sources being sh*t has macros pretty bang on with carbs lower due to less activity and protein in check and fats at a minimum, good work broski.

Now I'm gonna stop DM'ing you because it's 2:30am and this pussy body of mine is trying to sleep and tonight I'm gonna let it win :p

This is a super win for @wye thanks for chipping in for our one and only @Shakey the vampiric injury prone beast who looks 3.14159x better than he did in November! :ROFLMAO: (math nerd joke, or is it a deadspace calculation?)

20mg Melatonin
Is this every night? This is good for gains apparently I think you might be on to something.

Aye, @wye 's a good brother for sure. I think i can sit at the pc for a while now. I shoukd get around to finishing that shit. Its been delayed enough as it is.

Yea bro, i have onset insomnia, mostly brought on by OCD. 20mg is baseline dosing for me nightly.

Yeah, takin a few days off again, lat feels like i was massaged with a bat while i slept. Should get a walk in tomorrow.
lol :P massaged with a bat you're a funny guy @Shakey

Only way to describe it. Lol

Atleast im able to sleep on my left side again, so maybe ill move back to the bed. The couch prevented rolling on my vad side.
if you have the budget get infrared lamp :D

No budget for that, but i have taken a look. It doesnt look like a worth while investment for the edge itll give in healing for me anyways.

An expensive one would probably have better effects, but only a budget quality knock off would be possible for me. Im sure my heating pad covers the heat therapy part of it.

Ive damn near slept on it for 2 weeks, i got the burn marks to prove it.🤣

Grade 2 Lat Tear Week 3 Day 1
Update: No macros today, just a quick update. Lat has made good improvements over the weekend. Range of motion has improved a lot, i can touch the back of my head with that arm now. I can finally shave my head and face again.

Ill proceed with daily stretching starting tomorrow along with i think i can manage 1hr of cardio along with legs again. Hell maybe even biceps and triceps.

Ive started using that arm for regular stuff, nothing heavy. Its still lightly sore in general from top to bottom down my side and hurts for a bit if i use that arm to help adjust my position on couch by accident.

MSK ultrasound booked for may 11th. All hail free health care and the absolute light speed at which they book you in for. So after exactly 8 weeks, i will get the MSK to atleast see how bad it was and healing progression to base how many weeks i should rehab.

I also faxed barrie hospital as well, so if i get an earlier appt there, then i will cancel the original.

Raised NAD to 50mg to see if theres a difference from 25mg. This will decide whether ill bother with it again in the future. I didnt really notice anything, so we will see.

Grade 2 Lat Tear Week 3 Day 2
Update: Saw my doctor today. Absolutely pointless. Didnt check for small deformity (which im hoping maybe have just been a deep tissue hematoma). Checked range of motion, im back to about 50% range before i feel tension. Im glad i sought another doctor, no way he wouldve got me an MSK ultrasound.

Brothers guess what he said probably was the cause? Instead of my suggestion of adding too deep of stretch to all lat exercises, so straining at full ROM. This guy suggested that because i trained my lats at the begining of the workout and my biceps last, my lats were "exhausted" and couldnt handle stabilizing my arm while curling.

He didnt even entertain that i was lifting heavy past my usual range of motion. How this man bacame a doctor is beyond my meager intelligence. I also asked about being checked for GERD and explained without famotidine i get daily reflux and i regurg often, they said they would email me a video about heartburn and call me to set up a phone appointment.

This was said to me in person at my appointment. They want to set up a phone appt to talk about it. He said it was protocol for heartburn. I can not possibly comprehend the sheer magnitude of the stupidity of such a protocol. The depth of this mans wisdom is unfathomable.

Anyways, leg day was bloody wicked. Somehow got a back pump on seated lifts. Lol

This will be some good data keep us posted on this. There will be an NAD+ research thread eventually.

For sure, im attempting bis and tris tonight. Ill pay attention to nad effects. Yea i figured the var.

I see you're running the @biogenix var, I've been taking 10mg a day and find it very effective...but stepping up to 20 tomorrow, cant wait lol
When your Var is 100% real I find 20-40mg packs a punch like no other oral. @biogenix has 100% real var too.

Ya bro, i added a bit of a forward swing on the last few seated leg curl reps, straight failure. Thats where the pump came from i think and im paying somewhat for that motion, i may take today off and do arms tomoro

Update: First arm workout, was a success. Not much of a pump because of the weight bunch good none the less. Preacher machine and tricep ext machine are uncomfortable because im too tall, but will make do. Contant stretch with minor stabilization wore my lat out a bit so i didnt bother with forearms.

Added the arm bike for rehabing my lat. Will include in all workouts. 5 mins at the end if workout was enough.

Good eating today. No protein left til i can order some and forgot to remove creatine a week ago, ran out.

Week 2 Day 5
Grade 2 Lat Tear Week 3 Day 4
Update: First arm workout, was a success.

Looks like you got in some good work given your limitations with your lat!

Skull crushers might be a better alternative for you if your having issues with machines and due to your lat tear there’s not a lot of over extending on the humorous and lat, or better yet, tricep cable pull downs and possibly isolated dumbbell curls. Keep killing it man, it’s motivating to see someone pushing through!🫵👌

Id love me some skulls, but im only back at 50% range of motion and it can barely handle the minimum stabilization/activation even on fully arm supported machines. Ill attempt the tricep cable pulldowns, but i think holding form on cable might be to much. Maybe in a week.

Seated dumbells or dumbell preachers could be an option as well. Ill give em a shot next week.

Thanks brother, cant wait for low cable work at 6 weeks.

Arm bike is a really smart move. It's seems like a great way to work on mobility and strength safely. Are the bus rides better now?

Yea, bus is no problem now. On arm bike i shifted from standing vertical, and leaning reaching forward to stretch lat. Worked awesome
It's crazy that you thought of that. Hand bike woulda never crossed my mind but as soon as you said it I was like oh ya, that's literally perfect in every way. Who needs a physio with ideas like that lol

Was quite awkward to start, each side can move seperately. Lol
Yea I've only used one once and it felt so weird. It's exhausting too. It's probably like a speed bag tho where it's hard at first but once you get the hang of it it's really easy
