I just wanted to stop by and say hello. I've been lurking around for the past week or so.

There is so much information here I don't know where to start. My main interests are injury healing and prevention.

I'm 36 and I like where I'm at physically. I've been active and in the gym since my teens. I think my age is starting to show and now I spend more time injured than not.

I'm going to continue reading everything here. I'll probably ask a few questions when I have a better understanding of all this. Hoping I can find some good books around here.

Lol 40 is around the corner. I'm at the gym now and was just thinking about my workout and realized I spend more time doing joint rehab exercises than actual lifting.

Last week included 'Steve my shoulders etc...' and I asked 'do you do rotator cuff work?' lol

Oh man, don't get me started on rotator cuff work lol. I do it every day, along with lots of stretching.

Welcome to Evo !

Injuries are part of the Steel Game, I know, I've had more than my Fair Share.

Is there a Particular Injury that you are trying to come back from.
Or just talking about Nagging Injuries in General............................... JP

Thanks for the welcome.

Luckily I've never had a serious injury. I just get those nagging ones that pop up once in a while. They almost always seem to be in the same spot, Lowe back and right shoulder.

I've always been able to work around it. I would see an injury in one area as an opportunity to really focus out the others. This was the first year for me that I spent the entire year with at least one injury going on. It seems like they just increase in frequency and severity over time. I assumed it was just age.

I'm really hoping to learn more about it and see what helps. I'm not looking for super powers. I just wanna maintain what I have and maybe push myself now and again.

standup desk, hot yoga, prolonged fasting, increased omega 3's. taking breaks from the gym when needed. I do it all bro to keep myself healthy. once you start getting into your 30's the game changes. young guys need to start taking care of their bodies NOW.

Lol yup, I do it all.

I just changed jobs recently. The cool thing is that this place is very health conscious. They expect us to to take stretch breaks every hour and use our regular breaks to get up and exercise. I was impressed when they introduced me to someone there who had a standing desk. They said they're planning on giving them to everyone.

Your job recommends taking stretch breaks every hour?

That is absolutely unheard of. What company do you work for? Sounds like you are working for an awesome company man!

smart company, they realize a healthy worker is a good worker.

Welcome, glad to have you. I am 35 and this year the injury/wear and tear thing really started to effect me. I have had to change a lot of what I do and have completely different goals now.
