New to TRT

I have all the symptoms of low T. my T test was 245. Finally got Dr to put me on it. but he wants to give me 200mgs every four weeks for a while. I tried to talk him into eow or 100mgs a week. He said he wants to do this for a few months.

I am 50yo never ran a cycle before but have ordered from RM for my spouse.

My question is, since he is giving me test c and RM only has test e and test p, could I take either one of them to augment my levels until I get him to adjust his treatment?

Also I read that it take a couple of months to get full effect. but what could I expect to feel from the first shot

Thank You for any input

You would use the Test E, another Long Ester Test, like the Test C.

But you should really wait until you have a couple of months of TRT, monitored by your Doctor.

They all want to start out at the Low End of the Scale, as different people will respond differently.
So that's what your Doctor is trying to Ascertain.

If you do additional Test on your own.
You will not only Skew the results.
Your Doctor will know you are Self-Medicating due to your Total Test being higher than what it should be.
Given you are only supposed to be doing 200 Mg every 4 Weeks........................ JP
P.S.
I'm sure he will adjust your Dose after the 1st Blood Work is done.

You need to follow you doctors prescription if you plan on staying under doctor prescribed TRT. I agree 200 mg every month is stupid, but if you start adding additional Test, he will know and probably drop you from TRT. Ride it out and keep letting him know how you feel and he can adjust as you go. Be patient, you've made it 50 years already, what's another 6 months getting to wear you wanna be.

I would recommend splitting the 200 mg into 2 or three doses over the 4 weeks to give you more stable Test levels.

If your not happy with your Dr's advice then find another Dr. Best one to find is one that is current in TRT. google for a compounding pharmacy in your area. Call them and ask them to recommend a Dr that prescribes TRT meds. They should be able to recommend one to you.

my doc put me on 100mg EOW and of course post pin I'd feel great and then as the test dropped I would drop back to my bitchy self.
Do what the doc says but keep track of your moods and how your generally feeling so when he asks you - can say you feel great for 4 or 5 days and then back to down and out and cant get it up by the following week and its affecting your marriage / relationship. This may help him push you to a shot every 2 weeks and increase the dose.

As for what you could feel after your first shot - morning wood! while the test is at top level in your system (the first few days after pin) you may be more alert, more awake, not as moody. you wont feel like you can lift a bus or anything but generally you may feel healthier and more alive.

bud you need to talk to your doctor about your concerns, if he doesn't want to listen to logic then fire him and find one that will

a lot of these doctors are just educated buffoons. they don't know about this stuff, they are more worried about their tennis/golf game and yachting on the weekends

i can tell you 100% that 200mg of test a month is absurdly low. you should be on 150-175mg per week and that is conservative.

I am 51 and on 175mg a week and works well for me. But do as the others advised. Track your mood spikes and energy levels and get the Doc to adjust. Most will listen as long as your test stays below 1000. 200mg a month will have your hormones levels bouncing and crashing. Not good. But deal with it for a month. Any good physician will adjust.

It is definitely best to stick to what the doctor has you on for now because you want to know what amount of test you actually need for proper normal test levels. If you fudge the numbers he is going to think his plan is working fine.

Look into anti-aging clinics. They will cost you a bit of money. Most charge around $200 for each appointment but they are VERY prescription friendly. They usually start people on TRT dosages of 100mg/week.
