Proper creatine and bcaa use

Hey guys! So here I am - got on hands several supplements, and wanted to make sure I am using them right. So I take my preworkout (either Jack3D or C4) half an hour before working out, and then mix together 5 grams of creatine with a serving of BCAA that I drink during the workout (usually I finish that up by the middle of the session), and then after the workout I take another 5 grams of creatine. Is that the optimal way of using my supps?

Sure that can work.... I would skip the pre workout, honestly and eat a good meal about an hour before training. Take 5g creatine preworkout, sip bcaas intra workout and another 5g creatine post workout.

Make sure you are drinking enough water while taking creatine.

Your dosage plan looks good. There is no need to supplement with more then 5g of creatine per day so the second dosage of creatine after your workout isn't needed.

Ideally you would drink your BCAA/creatine mix throughout your entire workout. I would add in another serving of BCAA and add some more water to your intra-workout drink so you can sip on it throughout your entire workout. A good intra-workout dosage of BCAA is 20-30g which equate to 2 servings from most products.

Overall, your game plan looks good. I would do as @muskate says, and add a bit more BCAA mixed with more water, so it will last you for the entire workout. After the training session you can drink some protein instead of creatine. Just make sure to be using an isolate, like the Isolation. It is the best kind of protein with the least amount of carbs in it.

If I were you, I would do as aggirl suggested. The most reasonable way to dose it.

If you still decide to take your jack3d or c4, do it together preworkout with your creatine

I would skip the Preworkout altogether. People are going to laugh and give me shit for saying this but I seriously eat a banana on my way to the gym and just drink water through my workout and I am fine. As far as creatine anything more than 5 grams a day is a waste, I forget the exact formular but for me weighing 180 I think the best dose is something like 2.5 grams per day. I personally wake up and put 1 scoop(which happens to be a 2.5mg scoop) of creatine in my 32ounce water bottle and drink it thru the morning, then I'll have another 2.5mg scoop of creatine in my post workout protien shakes. Anything more than 5mg a day and your just wasting servings even though creatine is the cheapest thing u can buy.

I have a buddy who buys that C4 Preworkout stuff at like $40 for a 30 day supply, he takes it yet we both have the same workouts together and he is always giving up before I am with me just eating a banana and having a good meal 2 hours before working out. I'd rather put that money into a bottle of test and chicken breast for after my workouts for the building and repair. but that's just me.

You do realize that bcaa's are just amino acids which you already get from eating complete protien such as chicken, steak, eggs and milk. Stands for Branched Chain Amino Acids.

The BCAA's are Isoleucine, Leucine, and Value. Finding out the proper recommended dose of these is hard, since no one seems to agree on numbers. But going off the FDA recommendations just drink 4 cups of 2% milk per day and you have your complete BCAA's.

Again any complete protien you take will have large amounts of the BCAA's in it, so if your consuming the typical 1gram of protien per 1lb body weight then your most likely already taking in enough BCAA's. I feel that these supplements that claim having all these BCAA is a waste of money if your eating properly.

Pre workouts and bcaa is all marketing bs. The only thing that works is good old fashioned hard training and proper nutrition from whole foods. Steroids work too but they shouldnt be used as a crutch.

Yeap agreed. Steroids do serve many functions though, promote muscle mass gains by turning all that protien into muscle, help with cortisol levels, promote fat burning thru faster metabolism, etc....

I would never workout without taking steriods, as they are safe if you know what your doing and they are proven effective. I'd rather puthan my money towards more gear than waste it on all these expensive hyped up fancy Preworkouts and crap. I seriously don't get why people waste money on these things.
