Is that still a thing do people add that to their protein shakes or is that just something we saw in rocky? I was wondering if it was a good thing to add but then again its raw so i could get sick from it no?

I do raw egg whites mixed with oats and peanut-butter and one scope of chocolateprotien for flavor

There's nothing wrong with raw eggs - IF the eggs are coming from free range, organic, humane chickens.

Raw eggs are great. Very easily digestible. They are pretty much a perfect food. There's a reason bodybuilders have been eating raw eggs for decades.

The salmonella risk of eating raw eggs only occurs if the eggs are coming from unhealthy chickens. As long as you are eating good quality eggs - you have nothing to worry about man

it is true when you cook the egg yolks you are sapping away the nutrition. not only that but the way eggs are cooked with oils, butter, and other crap make it completely unhealthy and pointless

so yes raw eggs are your best bet BUT you MUST do what musky said above.. get fresh quality humane friendly pastured eggs. otherwise you run a high risk of food poisoning as chickens kept in close quarters spread disease.

what i do is simple.. coconut spray in a pan. and i cook the eggs where the yolk is runny and use the highest quality eggs.. look for the HUMANE FRIENDLY and PASTURED stickers on the cartons.. you need BOTH.

Eggs are fantastic sources of protein and good fat but I prefer to cook them. Could you eat them raw, sure.......just get egg whites in a carton. Costco has a good price and quality product.

I hump one of those cases of 60 eggs home from the grocery store on a regular basis. I too mix them with quick oats to improve texture and for carbs and throw in a scoop of something to improve flavor. I should have feathers coming out my asshole or have died from salmonella poisoning if there was any truth to the bad stories you hear about eating raw eggs. Just toss the egg if the shell is cracked since the shell is what preserves the egg. It's pretty easy to separate the white if needed with a little practice. I find an egg shake a great and quick way to boost my protein intake without relying on protein powder so much.

Egg whites are a low-calorie, fat-free food. They contain the bulk of the egg’s protein. The egg white contains about 4 grams of protein, 55 mg of sodium and only 17 calories. A single egg white also offers 1.3 micrograms of folate, 6.6 mcg of selenium, 2.3 mg of calcium, 3.6 mg of magnesium, and 4.9 mg of phosphorus and 53.8 mg of potassium.

It is true, egg yolks carry the cholesterol, the fat and saturated fat of the egg. However, what is often overlooked are the many nutrients that come with that, such as the fat-soluble vitamins, essential fatty acids and other nutrients. One egg yolk has around 55 calories, 4.5 grams of total fat and 1.6 grams of saturated fat, 210 mg of cholesterol, 8 mg of sodium, and 2.7 grams of protein.

I eat 12 whole eggs a day. 4 eggs @ morning/noon/dinner. 4 eggs in a pot with boiling water for 3.5 minutes = soft boiled. Eat with a soon. Done.
