Alright, did it today. I think Ulter is mostly correct - the clinical trial is for a big pharma or medical equipment company. They couldn't tell me which one, which makes sense I guess. But essentially it's a blood machine they're bringing to market which tests for a million different things. As part of their trial they have to "prove" that the machine accurately gauges levels of like hundreds of different things in the blood. So like, antibiotics, or iron levels, or white blood cells count, or low testosterone, or (in this case) high testosterone. I guess finding people with really high test has been difficult for them, which is why they've been looking to the fitness community (and why they were offering $200 - they probably offer like $50 for more common stuff.) So anyway yeah, went to a lab, did a blood draw, got a check on the spot. Fine print said my sample is randomized with an ID number and my name is not attached to it in any way. Didn't ask or seem to care *why* my levels were high. And that's it! Wish they told me what my level was but said they couldn't lol
And yes - Dodgers season ticket holder for a few years now. You too?
