hi, i started taking raw oatmeal mixed in cold water early in the morning, because according to many people, it helps to loose weight, and lower cholesterol, after three days of taking, i have bad diarrea, is it because i'm not boiling it ?or it be my stomach is not used to it and it is reacting to it, thanks for answers.

I would try Cooking it 1st and see.
Could be that what is happening with the Cold Oatmeal isn't conducive to your Well Being.
Some of us have more sensitive stomachs than others............................................ JP

Post Edit:
Don't know which Oats you're using.
I use Trader Joe's Organic Old Fashion Oats.
I sometimes will toss them into my Protein Shake (Uncooked), and never have any Issues with them.
Mostly though I will Cook them, as Oats can Absorb a lot of water.
Even when Soaked Cold, once they Hit the Stomach and Warm Up, they will absorb even more Liquid.

In no way am I a spokesperson for the oats I'm about to recommend. This is just from my experience. Bob's Red Steel Cut Organic Oatmeat, has been my go to for years. They have a web site you can read up on. Not to costly either. I would cook them as well to help release any flavor and or health benefits. Maybe try cutting your intake over a longer period. If you eat them in 15 minutes, try 30 minutes and gradually tapper up.

Raw oats contain something called pyruvic acid. It is an anti-nutrient. It is basically a defence mechanism of the grain. It prevents nutrients from leaching out prior to germinating. It can bind to minerals in your GI tract and cause gastric upset.

If you soak your oatmeal 4-6 hours before cooking it, you will sprout the grain and remove the pyruvic acid. It also increase the vitamin and mineral content of the oatmeal.

I recommend soaking all grains and legumes 4-12 hours before eating them.

Sounds like you and oats just don't mix. Try quick oats and see if that helps. Also I've never heard of oats helping lose weight one thing I do know will help you lose is lowering calories and that's a fact. Good luck !

I eat oats in the very same manner, but dont have any issues. Maybe your last meal in the evening has more to do with the diarrea, then the breakfast?

What is your last meal in the day?

Yeah, if you do not cook them properly they will make you feel sick. If you cook them properly and they still make you feel gross, try adding something sweet to it like fruit to adjust a taste that you can tolerate.

The most logical thing to do would be to cook your oatmeals, and see what kind of changes will take place. If you will stop having stomach issues, then you will just have to eat them cooked, if everything will remain the same, try doing as @muskate has suggested. We all have different stomachs that react differently to the same foods, so you can not apply the same rules to everyone - you need to find what works best for you. Personally, if I eat oatmeals everyday, I get heartburn, but I have never heard of anyone else having this problem from oatmeals. Hence I just eat them EOD.

Sometimes i cook mine the night before and throw them in the fridge. Or before cardio in the am then stick them in the fridge. mmmmm.... I love both cold and hot oats. I just do whatever I am feeling that day.

Your stomach may not be used to the raw fiber. Especially if you just jumped right in. I had this happen to me when I went from cooking my oats all the way to leaving them relatively "dry" for a slower carb burn. Took some prebiotic and digestive enzymes and it went away. Then I switched to gluten free oats by quaker to reduce bloat. Now it's all good.
