Gentlemen; new to the forums and sort of new to gear. Don’t know where this goes so MODs please let me know. Been researching and asking questions to my supplier.

Quick intro, August 2024 went into the ICU for ketoacidosis, diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Was at 220 lbs came down to 180 because of the diabetes. Dr said I needed a lifestyle, so I went to weight training. Did weights before but I was on a mission to beat this. Went hard for a few months, decided to get on test since my levels were low the year prior. 300s range. Hopped on test c in may of 2025. 150 mgs a week. TRT levels. Blood work came back perfect across the board in December of 2025. Ate right, no sugars, no fatty, fried toods, chicken, salad, hummus, bowl of fruit. Salmon and half a bagel in the afternoon and a healthy dinner that had protein. Wanted to lose the body fat u see my arms that made my pecs almost look saggy, and the belly fat. I have been consistently at 180 lbs for almost 2 years. I don’t consider the weight a factor because I can look better at 190 fit and trim than 170 with more body fat. I think my last scan said I was at 8% body fat. I got to look again. I did test, reta and HGH about 3 months but HGH is expensive so I had to hop off last month.

For the past 4 weeks, I’ve been on test 150 mgs and 200 mgs mast. Before you ask my A1C has been at a consistent 5.3 for about a year or more. My dr says I pretty much cured my diabetes but I’ll always have it. So I am keeping an eye on my sugar levels, my blood work while I’m blasting. Any recommendations or changes to the blast. I have a vial of tren ace, but I’m almost afraid to pull the trigger, even when I’m thinking of only doing like 50 mgs of it a week. I’m always considering my blood work and my diabetes. Plus I don’t want to explain to my VA dr why my levels are out of whack when they have been good for the most part. Don’t want my benefits to be in danger. Doubtful but you know how it is with the VA.

My training has been pretty consistent as well. I was progressively overloading, 3 sets of ten. Lifting heavier every set. Then I tried the 1 to 2 set max of 6 to 8 reps. Tried that for about 2 months until I felt that my joints were getting a real pounding. So I changed it up a little. Instead of benching 225 or more for 6 to 8 reps for 2 sets, I’m doing like 135, 3 sets of 15 to 20, and lightly increasing the weight every week but keeping the 15 to 20 mark. Then after about 4 weeks, go one set max of 6-8 reps for my lifts. Then go back to 3 sets of 20. Making the body guess what I’m doing that day.

Again if I’m in the wrong forum, please tell me where to go.

welcome to the EVO family :D @rudyramos2333
With a history of diabetic ketoacidosis and type 2 diabetes, nobody should be telling you to add Tren from one post, even at 50mg, because glucose control, BP, lipids, kidneys, sleep and bloodwork all matter here.
Get a full current cycle log up now with weight, meals and macros, fasting glucose, BP, training, sleep, exact doses, pictures and each set of labs so the EVO family can follow you properly, its a real issue to have a deep dive before you start :D 15min of your time

HOW-TO LOG?

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.

To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight, height, age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
  • Please post a Log Journal asap for us

My recommendation is definitely to look into fasting. Fasting will help boost your insulin sensitivity. Also look at taking reta.

Bros, you in the right place? The key thing is going to be diet. Sounds like you got it fixed. What was your diet before when you were developing diabetes?

don't mess with steroids until you get your diabetes in check. this way you keep flexibility. Down the line they will always be there for you.

it is great you know your health issue and you are owning it. now let's take it head on. the #1 way to fix it is losing body fat/weight. and eating the right way.

My diet was the cause of my diabetes. About 6 or more sodas a day. Unhealthy greasy, dried foods, it working out at all. Today, it’s a total 180.

I’ll see about that, but I’ve also read fasting isn’t good for weight training. But everything says everything else is wrong.
Big Ramy and Hadi choopan would disagree since they both have been fasting their entires lives
fasting is actually very good for weight training. because fasting helps re-cycle cells within the muscles via autophagy.

That is what I’m trying. For the most part since August 2024, been eating as clean as possible. Every now and then I’ll eat some comfort food. A couple slices of pizza. Actually, that’s the extent of my comfort food. I don’t eat fried or greasy foods even for a cheat meal. Salads, chicken, and hummus.

Interesting. My eating has been structured since August 2024. Hummus with crackers in the morning. An almond butter and sugar free jelly sandwich with wheat bread for mid morning snack, salad with fat free ranch for lunch, cup of fruit for mid lunch snack. A mango before I work out and a good dinner at night. I’ll have snacks here and there but not before bed. At least 2 hours before I go to sleep

sugar free jelly and wheat bread are likely not going to be good options

I do use a bread but its a specialty bread called Deland and its frozen from the health food store
jam/jelly is always going to be awful for you. the preservation process of fruit turns it from healthy snack to unhealthy whether it be made into jelly or juice.

might be better off just smashing some fruit instead

just little things that can be improved, i'm not trying to nitpik

download the yuka app (its free) and scan the bread you are using and the jelly and post up what score you get and how many dangerous things are in there. that is a great way to start clean up your diet
