Hi, as you all know Eating past 8 p m has bad rep and since I eliminated dinner I lost some weight, the problem is that I wake at midnight craving for food and I have to handle it no matter what, But I know myself and at some point I won't be able to handle it any more, I would like to know a short list of about 4-5 snacks to eat at night so this craving feeling for food won't wake me up anymore after midnight!

One of the biggest mistakes people on a weight loss diet get into is to start snacking. Snack foods are garbage. What do people normally snack on? Granola bars, chips etc.

What you should do instead if have a small meal. If you are waking up starving in the middle of the night, have 2-3 hard boiled eggs and some carrot sticks. You could also have a protein shake, a can of tuna and some almonds etc.

Approach each feeding like a small meal. Make sure it has a protein source. That will keep blood sugar levels stable and satiety at it's highest.

you are losing weight by skipping dinner because you are sort of accidentally going into a caloric deficit every night without even noticing it.. had you ate dinner you would have reached your maintenance

in that respect muskate brings up a good point. lets say you snack on chips and protein bars. you will easily get 300-400 calories from that. so it defeats the purpose.

maybe you should have like a banana which is under 100 calories just to get your calories up a bit more so you aren't waking up starving.

^^^^Great idea with the eggs. They will keep you full for a long time. I would just eat them before you go to bed so you don't have to wake up and eat them. Also, make sure you are drinking enough water. Guys who are not will often be much more hungry.

Certainly you should be eating dinner.

Skipping meals is counter productive to your goals.

Eggs, grilled chicken and salad are nice ideas for a later dinner

My pre bedtime meal is cooked liquid eggs whites and 1 scoop of casein protein...works for me and helps with the food cravings through the night
