Good to see proper squats

Do you recommend any particular source of knowledge for learning how to squat properly?

I've just started squatting, doing bodyweight / sissy squats and olympic-bar only squats in 3 sets of 12.

Generally trying to add more volume of squats but want to ensure my form is correct before I switch up this routine or add weight.

It's all about form for now bro. Don't add weight yet. It's a lot to explain in writing. If you have you have one session left with your PT I'd have him show you proper squat technique including 'hinging' your hips before you descend and making sure to go down far enough.

I think I have the hip-hinge down, we just didn't do them much because the racks at the other gym were always taken, so I mainly did hack squat the past 6 months.

I can go all the way down with bodyweight or just the bar.

I fractured my L2 five years ago so have been overly careful this whole time and would likely know if my back was strained. I'll video my form next time I have the gym to myself.

- If you see in my progress pic 205lbs is almost exactly when I start to lose definition. I'm thinking of dialing back the calories a bit to maintenance level and introducing cardio to taper off the last two weeks of my cycle then start on RETA. My goal will be to try to hang onto all the muscle and try and slightly lower my BF% where it's at now around 16% until I'm done the cycle. Then lean out with RETA on an undecided cruise and maintain at 200lbs. Or! Should I just keep blasting for the next two weeks?

man its a tough question for sure. its always easier to do one thing or another. recomp is the toughest thing to do in bodybuilding so its a challenge you can go for @HarleyGuy

Sure thing bro, there's a few different styles so I tried to find a few different ones. They're not fancy restaurants, they're where most common people eat and are cheap. They're busy places laid out something like this

You can get any type of beef, chicken, fish or offal. Side bowls of rice are just the default and one will come as soon as you sit down. The Japanese also use rice as a 'palet clenser' to wash the taste of one thing out before trying the next.

Every weird part of an animal I've ever eaten was at one of these in Japan. Tongue is really common

There's also a similar style called Shabu Shabu where there's a communal hot water trough that goes around the whole counter like at a Sushi Train place execpt instead of train tracks there's a river of boiling water.

Then you pickup the thinly sliced meat with your chopsticks and dip it in the water and hold for ten seconds and it's cooked.

I'm thinking of dialing back the calories a bit to maintenance level and introducing cardio to taper off the last two weeks of my cycle then start on RETA. My goal will be to try to hang onto all the muscle and try and slightly lower my BF% where it's at now around 16% until I'm done the cycle. Then lean out with RETA on an undecided cruise and maintain at 200lbs. Or! Should I just keep blasting for the next two weeks?

Nah man they have these places called Izakaya in every building on every corner, often translated as "pub" but that's not right, they're meat places that server beer, but I don't call a bar a peanut stand so I dunno where that came from.

At the Izayaka they usually have the kotatsu floor tables, they all look kinda the same. At the table there is a small grill and they bring you plates of thinly sliced raw meat and you grab it with your chopsticks and throw it on the little grill yourself, or just eat it raw if you're already half drunk or late for the train or whatever.

I think this is because steel was rare in Japan, so only the chief has a knife and does all the cutting, everyone else has chopsticks which are just bits of wood. But I think a lot of things.

Man made me hungry remembering those places
Izakayas are late night drinking spots with BBQ food in Japan. A lot of Izakayas don't even have a built in grill and they just bring a little pot of charcoal with a grill on top. In Japan they're usually tiny little family run spots with 4 or 8 tables.

Over here they're full on restaurants, kinda like what you're describing. Everything is bigger in the Western world.
 
If you have the hip-hinge down pat and have been shown a proper squat then instead of 3 sets of 12, make your 3rd set be hard to get 8 up with good form. Maybe start with 5's or 10's on the bar.

1 set of 6-8 with the bar + 10's.

Hack squats have nothing on full range real squats.

I’m not sure what my max squat is I just rep out to failure with either 2 plates or 2 plates and a 25. I haven’t tried hack squats in years.

Next leg day maybe I give it a go and see.

If you want to go deep and really light up your quads and you got the right kinda machine with a big foot plate you can get some serious depth. Put your feet up by the top of the foot plate and just go deep. Because you can brace against the machine it lets you just worry about depth.

The pumps on this cycle are noticeably insane. Smaller muscle groups the pumps are borderline painful which I like it gives me more motivation to keep going.

Good intake you leveled it up big time :D huge protein, digestion ok?
I take it easy (well, easy for me) in the morning with Meal#1 so I'm not a bloated whale all day. Workout is around 4-6pm depending. Then meal #2 is around 7-8pm and that's when I go to bed with Olympia HGH Palumbo gut and don't care. Digestion has been decent to be honest especially since I added the psyllium husk, Digest Gold, and the Apple Cider Vinegar.

how do you feel now on irritability situation?
I'm right back to normal it was just that one day. I'm ready to pump it back to the old protocol if you wanna try it.
 
Do you recommend any particular source of knowledge for learning how to squat properly?

I've just started squatting, doing bodyweight / sissy squats and olympic-bar only squats in 3 sets of 12.

Generally trying to add more volume of squats but want to ensure my form is correct before I switch up this routine or add weight.
Ernie Frantz's '10 COMMANDMENTS of powerlifting' has some great tips inc a few I'd not seen

I'm thinking of dialing back the calories a bit to maintenance level and introducing cardio to taper off the last two weeks of my cycle then start on RETA. My goal will be to try to hang onto all the muscle and try and slightly lower my BF% where it's at now around 16% until I'm done the cycle. Then lean out with RETA on an undecided cruise and maintain at 200lbs. Or! Should I just keep blasting for the next two weeks?

The pumps on this cycle are noticeably insane. Smaller muscle groups the pumps are borderline painful which I like it gives me more motivation to keep going.

I take it easy (well, easy for me) in the morning with Meal#1 so I'm not a bloated whale all day. Workout is around 4-6pm depending. Then meal #2 is around 7-8pm and that's when I go to bed with Olympia HGH Palumbo gut and don't care. Digestion has been decent to be honest especially since I added the psyllium husk, Digest Gold, and the Apple Cider Vinegar.
You feeling good with apple cider right? :D and dont hate on Palumbo LOL :P
I'm right back to normal it was just that one day. I'm ready to pump it back to the old protocol if you wanna try it.

I had a sandwich with low carb bread called 'carbonaut' with macadamia nut butter and blueberry jam (no sugar added), then another sandwich with same bread and about 9 slices of provolone. Then ate a family size bag of Doritos. :ROFLMAO:

Woke up bloated and decided to fast today except to get my protein in.

Well, after I posted my log last night I stayed up too late and my anti-psychotic and PTSD/OS meds kicked in and made me raid the kitchen. I had a sandwich with low carb bread called 'carbonaut' with macadamia nut butter and blueberry jam (no sugar added), then another sandwich with same bread and about 9 slices of provolone. Then ate a family size bag of Doritos. :ROFLMAO:

Woke up bloated and decided to fast today except to get my protein in.

Ah bugger... happens to the best of us bro. It's so awful when it's medication-induced, it's near impossible to control.

And after you don't know what came over you. This is exactly what was happening to me with the two family-sized blocks of chocolate.

- If you see in my progress pic 205lbs is almost exactly when I start to lose definition. I'm thinking of dialing back the calories a bit to maintenance level and introducing cardio to taper off the last two weeks of my cycle then start on RETA. My goal will be to try to hang onto all the muscle and try and slightly lower my BF% where it's at now around 16% until I'm done the cycle. Then lean out with RETA on an undecided cruise and maintain at 200lbs. Or! Should I just keep blasting for the next two weeks?

Reading that just made me actually laugh out loud like a real LOL. So fuckin true the way you described it.... you can see how at the beginning I was 'trying' to binge and be a 'good' responsible bodybuilder, then went from 'good' to 'oh shit no no why'd you eat THAT dipshit? Like a half pound of provolone c'mon!', then went back upstairs and then found myself in bed with the family size bag of Doritos and was like 'WTFFFFFFFFFF!!!!' and thinking that literally while I'm eating them and watching YouTube. I was shaking my head every 4th mouthful but wasn't gonna stop. Thank God I fell asleep after the Doritos because sometimes it doesn't stop for an hour.

The Doritos were at the top of my garbage so I pulled it out to show you all... 730g of Doritos that's like 1.5lbs of Doritos from Costco!!!!!

Insta wake up and shoot sema and fast day! LMAO

I don't have the feeling of shyness, embarrassment, worry, regret, shame, dishonesty etc... the PTSD and Operator Syndrome took a lot of those feelings away but I'm working on them. I've hacked out some of your format and just picked the Samsung tracker watch my Dad gave me to help with my log and gonna add step, sleep and heart rate data as well as protein/macro totals so it's a bit easier to analyse.

With the HGH and mk677 so far so good, no sides except lethargy some days on 20mg. If I bump down to 10mg no lethargy.

No on the biopeprine but I'd throw it in if you recommend

The DHB. Absolutely no PIP or pain at all I just ran out. I ordered one vial a while ago and now that it's done I'm not a huge fan of it's toxicity issues at my age.

Still doing tamox 20mg ED and 6.25 aromasin EOD, will keep reporting

Every single session I end with abs. Doesn't take long but it adds up. You'll have DOMS for the first little while but it will go away. Then you can add a weight to your chest and hold it while you do your crunches.

I try and split orals depending on their half lives. I like to read medical journals about anything and everything pharmaceutical.

It's half life is about 9 hours with it peaking around an hour after administration. So, in that sense it makes sense to dose it all preworkout so I'm thinking 20mg morning and 40mg preworkout and on rest days I'll stick to 20 and 20. If Anavar is real it works amazing at doses between 40-60mg. A lot of bros say it's "not strong" and take 100+mg. It is strong LOL and if it's real I find 40mg is great.
 
Every single session I end with abs. Doesn't take long but it adds up. You'll have DOMS for the first little while but it will go away. Then you can add a weight to your chest and hold it while you do your crunches.

I ran 20mg for about 12 weeks than bumped up to 30 then 40 in the next 6 weeks.

Felt a pretty noticeable difference and once my body had acclimated to the anavar I wasn't getting the insane pumps anymore. Even at the higher dose.

I didn't see a point of taking it on my off days tho. I took it 45mins pre-workout sublingually and once I was done warming up it was on!

The new gym is the first place I've seen a vending machine inside, seemed kinda weird. I checked to see if it had needles but was half water and half protein drinks.

I was weighing up 40g of protein using various shell fish and other seafood at the supermarket and it's atcully a lot. I think tuna must be an exception.
 
With the HGH and mk677 so far so good, no sides except lethargy some days on 20mg. If I bump down to 10mg no lethargy.

No on the biopeprine but I'd throw it in if you recommend

The DHB. Absolutely no PIP or pain at all I just ran out. I ordered one vial a while ago and now that it's done I'm not a huge fan of it's toxicity issues at my age.

Still doing tamox 20mg ED and 6.25 aromasin EOD, will keep reporting

Best way I could describe a good crunch is lay on your back look at the ceiling, then try and bring your eyeballs straight up to the ceiling. If you're arching too much or swinging you're not engaging the abs 100%.

I think it has juuuust enough more fat grams and also 11 carbs with 7 being sugar so you get that satisfying feeling when drinking it like it's a real milkshake. That's a perfectly fine trade off for me for the 42g protein in one big swig. I'm gonna start just blasting 2 of them PW every workout. Or look for them in bulk and just fill my gym bag with them LOL.

I would get solo biopeprine without the curcumin in it, easier to dose alone with your other ingredients, but if you're on a budget you can do it with the formula you showed no issues.

Meal # 1 (Standard: Protein shake + 6 whole eggs with 500g egg whites):

One question I have still, are the eggs or egg whites in the shake or separate? If separate are they hard boiled? If not is it the yolks that are hard to get down? I'm about to buy a cheap blender and trying to figure out how I'm going to adopt your use of shakes.

I loved the story about how Vince Gironda was reading reseaech papers about burns patients and copied their 12-egg shakes they were using to make skin heal faster in the 50s. He didn't mention anything about taste tho haha.

Shake is totally separate. I wake up and make it and am on auto pilot and down the whole things without stopping. II could probably make it blindfolded LOL. Then I come down and check EVO before work.

Once home around 09:30 EST I do Meal#1.

See pic from a couple days ago. 500g egg white carton is poured in with the 6 whole eggs. I use macadamia nut oil in the pan first then the eggs. Once I take the lid off when they're cooked they slide right onto the plate. Sometimes I just scramble them a bit too. Sometimes I put half a pound of shredded cheese on them too. LOL.

It's about the only thing I'll buy there lol. I duno about the ones where you're at, but up here the meat and produce is sooooo bad.

Damn that a lot of bacon!!! Lol. It hurts my heart just thinking about it haha.

Not sure about the biopiperine, but 5g if taurine a day is a pretty standard dose. I do 2.5g in the AM and 2.5g in the PM. I take it with beta alanine

I did a bit of a deep dive into one of my local supermarket's store-brand bacon and came to the conclusion that it contained 27% ingredients that are not-bacon, so I stopped eating their bacon and haven't found a source of good bacon to replace it.

It's a lot cheaper than beef here and you could make mean bone broths and soups and slow cooker meal-prep loads with a cheap load of bacon offcuts. I used to do this at my cabin cooking outside in a Dutch oven on a pot belly stove:

One of those would be that nights dinner, tomorrow's lunch and four individual meals for the freezer. I used the soup pot at the side to make bone broth out of all the scrap bones I collected in the freezer from cooking through the past couple of weeks and then strained it into the Dutch oven to be the base for the stew.

Probably a lot of fat in all those ideas tho.

Never seen one of those before. Only in movies. Pretty old school, really cool.

That was at my cabin in Queensland, I was there for two years and had some good vegetable gardens going. I miss it but it was pretty damn hot there haha.
