Goood morning!!

Tuesday 0110 hours
Cardio day, one hour. On the treadmill right now.
No lift today.

Weighed in at 247. Okay, I know not to be to concerned about the rise in weight, it is water and food weight, i am running close to maintenance right now. Just two more weeks and back into the deep deficit…although I will be fasting today. I planned on the day of fasting before I weighed, it isnt a knee jerk reaction.
All good.
What is groovy is that I still lost size on my stomach, 1/2 inch on my belt in the last
Two weeks.
Forward!!

Lunch and whey keep protein high which is exactly what you want. Dinner is perfect balance, beef and eggs for protein and fats with broccoli and tomatoes covering micros. Overall macros look clean, nothing missing here, just stay consistent. :D

I can't physically eat enough protein to hit my 250g protein per day. I always supplement with protein powder shakes to hit the target.

The average person starts their day with coffee or a bun or bagel before they get the protein they need. The worst is the folks who line up at a fast food joint for plastic sausage and paper machete eggs
I get up so early to workout that by the time I eat breakfast, it is more like lunch 😂😂

yeah the propaganda of gotta eat a huge breakfast has worked. credit to the food companies for pushing that to people. marketing works. the denny's grand slam breakfast. i had it a couple times in my early 20's.. so horrible for you. imagine eating that everyday and how fast your arteries would clog up lol.. many people do too, they have that typical pregnant gut physique

5 years ago, after back surgery I fell into the satisfying food trap. I hurt so bad that all I could do for any type of good feelings, was to eat, bad food. I went from 225lbs, strong and vibrant to 310 and sick all the time. As long as I had that door dash coming I was good.
People get stuck in that and then forget about what nature intended for us and they can’t get out. I feel lucky that I woke up.

Never again

yeah you get a dopamine rush from food no doubt. the key is get addicted to healthy foods.

Exactly!
Once you train yourself to crave the feeling and good energy that health carbs and protein provide, then that is all you will want.
I think I was close to being dead.
I will never go back.

yep also that feeling when you exercise. either weights or cardio. that rush of endorphins is addicting as hell

Yeah bro I absolutely agree. One thing I often saw as a casual observer of bodybuilding was body-builders pigging out after a contest like a crackhead that just found a rock under the couch, it sickens me.

When you completely change your mindset and behaviour then you don't want to do the shit you stopped doing, because you changed your behaviour and mindset...

Just stumbled across your log, it's cool shit bro! My first time ever losing weight, I've been in a proper deficit for weeks on end now and feel good.

I was going to ask you what you meant by Hammer Strength Flat Bench? Are you just talking about their fancy but just regular benches that have a weight plate holder rack at the head ?

I totally on the food part, My attitude is that we eat for health and fuel and the healthier it us, the better it is!!

Thank you, doing this log changed everything for me. Being her has kept me accountable to myself, and the feedback is fucking amazing.
These guys care about each others success and help every step of the journey with judgement!! It is a real community!!

Hammer Strength machine, in my gym they are pin loaded on each arm and really take stress off the shoulders while allowing a really nice deep stretch

I totally agree, I was an alcoholic and had a massive sugar/carb intake from beer as a baseline. I calculated my 24 beers a day macros when I joined here a day it was like 3400 kcals before I'd even eaten. I've tried vegetarianism, carnivore and veganism from plants I grew myself, teeth fell out in the last one haha. But I quit drinking two years ago but the gut and bitch tits remain. I never really fluctuated and no matter what I did it didn't budge, even completely removing that massive daily carb and sugar load did fuck all to the gut.

Thank you, doing this log changed everything for me. Being her has kept me accountable to myself, and the feedback is fucking amazing.

Me too bro! I can't believe it's only been like 5 weeks. I feel like a completey different person. Since I atcually medically crashed my test through medication I had a pretty noticeable effect to testosterone. I think what happened was the low test symptoms built slowly over three years on this medication but reversed all at once and I started feeling like I was healing right away.

Every idea I came in here with has now been modified based on feedback and recommendations from the pros and other dudes here. I've got my whole next year planned out pretty much and I'm starting to see how I can align training and gear cycles with the seasons and change my diet as the seasons go, I feel like the sustainability I've been looking for is in reach now. I definitely wouldn't be this far without the forum

It really is incredible man, I was not a social media user but got rid of all other crap like YouTube and apps that your time and play adverts at you. Big tech platforms cannot provide an environment like this even if someone tried.

After deleting YouTube and just using Evo I realised just how much a hold on me it had, it was deceptive but all up I wasted a lot of time and it wasent watching educational things I looked up myself.

Got scammed by a few other "influencers" in my quest to find test before landing here. Atcually just got a visa charge reversal from one of those scams unexpectedly the other day and bought two trays of eggs with it and got started on my new 400g protien baseline from egg-shakes.

Hammer Strength machine, in my gym they are pin loaded on each arm and really take stress off the shoulders while allowing a really nice deep stretch

Ah interesting bro, mine doesn't have that machine! I thought they had the full range apart from ultra specialised stuff like fixed incline benches for rehab and stuff. There are other hammer strength machines with the individual arm action tho, so I know what you mean. The equivalent Startrack pin loaded machines cannot do each arm individually.

All the Hammer Strength machines are plate loaded and the Startrack ones are pin loaded. Takes a long time to figure all the quirks of all the machines but I'm getting there :)

I was originally attracted to Stronglifts as a first program but my PT talked me out of it in favour of machines and I'm really grateful for that. Gonna learn the power lifts at a proper powerlifting gym in the winter when I'm stronger and have more knowledge so I don't break my back again.

Shit that got long sorry bro, I look forward to following your log :)

This hurt, Cortisone shot on Monday!!

Hour treadmill
Solid move keeping shoulders light, just enough volume to get blood in without pushing it while that cortisone settles. Pressing 40s and still running shrugs after shows you’ve got strength even when holding back. Hour on the treadmill after that keeps conditioning ticking without stressing the joint too much. @MarkNV

That’s a good leg session, treadmill warmup plus the band walks and planks had you primed, then v rack squats into single leg work is a tough combo. Extensions and sumo squat supersets with amrap sets give that burn you described, exactly what brings detail in. Wall sits at the end lock the legs up, solid finish. :D

My trainer is amazing. She knows how to hit different angles that take A LOT of stress off my knees and because of what she has taught me, I can go so much deeper on my presses and squats, she loves single leg work. And I am good with it

That is an incredible read!! Congratulations on giving up the alcohol, addiction is tough and those of us that truly make it through to the other side, understand pain and effort and we can accomplish anything, nothing is to big for us to conquer!!
I hope that being part of this community helps you reach some of your goals.
Somewhere in there you apologized for the book. Don’t ever apologize for sharing brother!! This is a great place to be!!
I for one will always read what you share!!!

That’s great, having a trainer who knows how to adjust angles so your knees aren’t getting beat up makes a huge difference. Being able to go deeper on presses and squats with less pain will keep your legs growing, and the single leg work will build balance and strength you’ll feel in everything else. :D

Protein looks a little light at breakfast and dinner but the beef, eggs, and chicken through the day keep it steady enough. Burritos with wild rice and high fiber wrap are actually a clean choice, macros fall right in line and under 700 cals for lunch is solid. :D

Training had good balance, curls through different angles then into back rows and pulldowns, weights are in a good range for controlled reps. Cable rows climbing into the 160s shows strength is there, and pairing that with the cardio keeps fat loss moving. @MarkNV

Edit: minus the 30 minutes of cardio either side haha, that's hard-core
