With great difficulty and effort. My “science based” lifting method is “lift as heavy as humanly possible before blood comes out of my nose”.

Yeah my lower back handles it fine. I trained for a whole decade naturally and was decently strong as a natty, so I got a good base.

Weight stayed the same this week. I’m hesitant to increase calories just yet. I want to have a couple of weigh ins in a row with stalled weight before increase calories.

I have increase insulin to 9 units, as my protocol is 10units for every 10kg of bodyweight.

Training - Chest and Biceps

Was able to march my previous week pr and throw in another set. The 50kg db is the biggest ones in my gym at the moment, so I guess now it’s about getting more sets and more reps.

Db incline press - 45kg x 8, 50kg x 6, 50kg x 6
Db flat press - 45kg
Cable flys - machine setting 23kg
Chest press machine - machine setting 84kg
Cable curls - machine setting 50kg
Db hammer curls - 15kg

My son trains too. He’s maxed out his belts for his age group.

Yeah, I increased my slin from 8 units to 9.

In my dojo once you got black belt the longer you were black belt and the more you got ranked higher as black your black belt was traded in for a black belt that had white fading on it; a black belt fading to white signifies you returning to your roots when you started in terms of humility and loss of ego.

Pretty standard day, not much to report. I was pretty much just working all day and only stopped to gym. Busy day, but got alot done professionally, and some days you have to put that first.

Gym session was still good, but lifts have stalled out for the first week. No biggie.

Training - Legs

BB Squat - 140kg
BB RDL - 110kg
Leg Press - 240kg
Leg Extensions - Full Machine
Hamstring Curl machine - machine setting 77kg

The only thing of note in the gym, was that i saw a young kid struggling with setting up a bench. I showed him how to set it up and ran through how to do a bench press. I thought i was helping, but on reflection he might have been a little socially awkward, and i might have just barged into his personal space. I hope he picked up that i was trying to help. He didnt say much, kid looked nervous as hell, so i feel like maybe i spooked him.

Same macros today. Damn, this is really a bland update. I didnt even take any photos! Sorry boys, the day just got away from me.

Now it is now twisted into a social media frenzy of hurt feelings, stalking and click points. Bravo for assisting, that is the right way, hopefully he saw it for what it was and appreciated the help and got a positive vibe.🩵

I was thinking about how i helped that kid yesterday, and maybe if i overstepped. Tonight at the gym, he was there again, and he directly asked for advice. I had finished my workout and took him through a basic push, pull, legs routine and gave him a program and some general tips.

I was glad that not only wasn't he weirded out, but i was actually able to help. Im a pretty friendly and extroverted guy, so sometimes i forget that people can be socially awkward and not really want to be approached. Luckily it was all good and i didnt overstep!

I didnt realise i was now the official old guy in the gym, passing down knowledge to the youth. I feel like just yesterday, i was that kid

My lower back was a little tight from the squats yesterday, so i wasnt comfortable doing my normal pendley rows. I just switched it up for some cables instead. Not a spring chicken anymore, have to listen to the body!

Wide grip cable rows - machine setting 100kg
Plate loaded single arm pulldown - 100kg each arm
Single arm Cable row - machine setting 90kg each arm
Wide grip chin-ups - bodyweight
Narrow cable row - machine setting 93kg
Straight arm pulldown - Machine setting 50kg

Don't normally do chin-ups. Decided to do them for fun. Was suprised how easy they were.

Food

Hit macros bang on again. I've been eating pretty similar meals. Rice, chicken, veggies, cereal, protein shakes, fruit, rice cakes, peanut butter ect. The standard bodybuilding food we all eat.

I did treat myself to a cinnamon roll with my coffee though!

I was thinking about how i helped that kid yesterday, and maybe if i overstepped. Tonight at the gym, he was there again, and he directly asked for advice. I had finished my workout and took him through a basic push, pull, legs routine and gave him a program and some general tips.

Don't normally do chin-ups. Decided to do them for fun. Was suprised how easy they were.

Hit macros bang on again. I've been eating pretty similar meals. Rice, chicken, veggies, cereal, protein shakes, fruit, rice cakes, peanut butter ect. The standard bodybuilding food we all eat.

I did treat myself to a cinnamon roll with my coffee though!

Really lifted my mood. I was feeling pretty down because my lower back is hurting a bit. I think i need a deload week. I might have overdone the heavy squats and heavy back movements. I dont think im injured (yet) but i definately need a break. Shame, because i wanted to crack open the Anadrol!

Not great tweaking the back. If it doesn't right itself in a couple of days it is probably needing a deload to rectify itself.
Everything is looking great otherwise brother. Loving the log updates, they are great to catch up on 🩵

Nightly Update

I was thinking about how i helped that kid yesterday, and maybe if i overstepped. Tonight at the gym, he was there again, and he directly asked for advice. I had finished my workout and took him through a basic push, pull, legs routine and gave him a program and some general tips.

I was glad that not only wasn't he weirded out, but i was actually able to help. Im a pretty friendly and extroverted guy, so sometimes i forget that people can be socially awkward and not really want to be approached. Luckily it was all good and i didnt overstep!

I didnt realise i was now the official old guy in the gym, passing down knowledge to the youth. I feel like just yesterday, i was that kid

Training - Back

My lower back was a little tight from the squats yesterday, so i wasnt comfortable doing my normal pendley rows. I just switched it up for some cables instead. Not a spring chicken anymore, have to listen to the body!

Nice update mate. Good to hear about the kid you helped. When I saw you questioning yourself in your previous post I was thinking 'nah kid it probably just nervous being around this jacked guy'.

Sounds like a good call re the pendlay rows. Do you think with your strength it might be worth looking at iso's first for legs or splitting squats and RDL's. Probably need a rest day between legs and any big unsupported rows as well.

Yeah, i was glad that he's got someone his age and it might have even been a slightly older brother. Good to see. I try to give off a friendly vibe and i know im probably on the older end of the lifters in my gym, so i know the role of the veteran i gotta play :LOL:

Yeah man, If i was 15 or 16 and some adult i dont know is trying to show me how to exercise, i'd probably freak out too!

Yeah it might be time to switch to some pre-exhaust sets so i cant back off the weights while the back heals up.

Last night I realised I made a massive mistake. When I took my hgh dose, I accidentally used the Reta vial. So I accidentally gave myself and extra 2mg of Reta.

My appetite has been smashed all day and I bet it’s going to get worse over the next couple of days.

I managed to get in my calories but it was a real struggle. Chocolate milk and cereal came in handy!

Training - bjj1

Lower back tightness loosened up once I stretched and warmed up. My car has heated seats so i cracked them up to get my back nice and warm. Worked pretty good!

Had a productive session. Really feeing like I’m getting a lot better lately. I’ve been focusing on really getting good technique and not just using brute force. I wish I did this earlier. I guess it takes time for us to learn and drop the ego.

Was pretty smashed afterwards. I’m going to definitely have an early night tonight.

Last night I realised I made a massive mistake. When I took my hgh dose, I accidentally used the Reta vial. So I accidentally gave myself and extra 2mg of Reta.

My appetite has been smashed all day and I bet it’s going to get worse over the next couple of days.

I managed to get in my calories but it was a real struggle. Chocolate milk and cereal came in handy!

Training - bjj1

Lower back tightness loosened up once I stretched and warmed up. My car has heated seats so i cracked them up to get my back nice and warm. Worked pretty good!

Had a productive session. Really feeing like I’m getting a lot better lately. I’ve been focusing on really getting good technique and not just using brute force. I wish I did this earlier. I guess it takes time for us to learn and drop the ego.

Was pretty smashed afterwards. I’m going to definitely have an early night tonight.

Food

Got the food down, but was a real struggle. I’m absolutely fuming at myself for making such a dumb mistake. Spoke to a few friends and a couple of them had made the same mistake, so I didn’t feel so stupid after that.

Nightly Update

I was thinking about how i helped that kid yesterday, and maybe if i overstepped. Tonight at the gym, he was there again, and he directly asked for advice. I had finished my workout and took him through a basic push, pull, legs routine and gave him a program and some general tips.

I was glad that not only wasn't he weirded out, but i was actually able to help. Im a pretty friendly and extroverted guy, so sometimes i forget that people can be socially awkward and not really want to be approached. Luckily it was all good and i didnt overstep!

I didnt realise i was now the official old guy in the gym, passing down knowledge to the youth. I feel like just yesterday, i was that kid

Training - Back

My lower back was a little tight from the squats yesterday, so i wasnt comfortable doing my normal pendley rows. I just switched it up for some cables instead. Not a spring chicken anymore, have to listen to the body!

Wide grip cable rows - machine setting 100kg
Plate loaded single arm pulldown - 100kg each arm
Single arm Cable row - machine setting 90kg each arm
Wide grip chin-ups - bodyweight
Narrow cable row - machine setting 93kg
Straight arm pulldown - Machine setting 50kg

Don't normally do chin-ups. Decided to do them for fun. Was suprised how easy they were.

Food

Hit macros bang on again. I've been eating pretty similar meals. Rice, chicken, veggies, cereal, protein shakes, fruit, rice cakes, peanut butter ect. The standard bodybuilding food we all eat.

I did treat myself to a cinnamon roll with my coffee though!

I cant imagine how this would feel at the 12mg max dose the clinical trails are going up to. I could see this compound make contest prep way easier. I would estimate that a total 3mg is currently peaked in my system. I've never ever done this much. The most i've done is 2mg.

So i normally train legs 2 tonight, but i decided i would take a deload next week, to help my lower back return to full form. Ill touch more on my approach to a deload later on. As a little treat to myself, i trained arms knowing i wont get a pump for a whole week. 😭

Did really well. I rolled with a pretty good brown belt. I couldn't really do much in the form of offensive moves, but i was able to defend and stay alive the whole 5 mins without him getting a sub on me. I thought he was just letting me work, but he said he was giving his all. I don't know if i believe him, but ill take it!

If they are pushing 12mg of Reta in trials that is nuts. Why do they do this ????? Like you I am only onto 3mg and struggle with some meals. Why won't the "medical community" just look at what most of us on Evo do (1-4mg) and try that on their trials. 🩵

Yeah my appetite is pretty smashed. I can eat, but damn i really have to me mentally on top of it, and force it down a bit. I cant imagine how this would feel at the 12mg max dose the clinical trails are going up to. I could see this compound make contest prep way easier. If you ran high enough reta on contest prep, i could imagine you just NEVER being hungry.

I would estimate that a total 3mg is currently peaked in my system. I've never ever done this much. The most i've done is 2mg.

Training - BBJ2 and Arms

So i normally train legs 2 tonight, but i decided i would take a deload next week, to help my lower back return to full form. Ill touch more on my approach to a deload later on. As a little treat to myself, i trained arms knowing i wont get a pump for a whole week. 😭

Got a sick pump. Had some carbs before hand and injected 600mg Carnitine into each arm for a total of 1200mg carnitine. Was the best way to spend a friday night!

I had my BJJ class this morning. But i slept in and missed the gi-class, so i went to the later no-gi class. Im better at no-gi so that was a win.

Did really well. I rolled with a pretty good brown belt. I couldn't really do much in the form of offensive moves, but i was able to defend and stay alive the whole 5 mins without him getting a sub on me. @Nasser1997o2 the calories are definitely on point. 3,800 is a strong amount and you're getting a bulk of that from the carbs. I see a lot of people doing that lately.

If they are pushing 12mg of Reta in trials that is nuts. Why do they do this ????? Like you I am only onto 3mg and struggle with some meals. Why won't the "medical community" just look at what most of us on Evo do (1-4mg) and try that on their trials. 🩵

Whenever you pair up, there is a common thing to quickly ask if you or your opponent have any injuries how how hard you'd like to go.

I've been rolling pretty light and my sparring partners have all been good.

If you know what you're doing with insulin you can get alot out of it. Helps you also lower the total MG's of AAS.

I can already see myself getting bored without the gym. I have alot of chores and odd jobs around the house i need to do. The wife already has me weeding the garden tommorrow morning! :ROFLMAO:

I guess its time to catch up on those things anyhow!

So today was a rest day. I could tell i needed it, i was pretty tired all day. I even fell asleep in my kids room, putting him to bed. I always assumed, like most people, that i don't train hard enough, that i can always do more, but maybe i am actually training hard and need the time off.

My physical performance never failed, but i think its the CNS and mental fatigue thats getting me. Hopefully i'll clear that out some more. I probably also need some blood work soon, just to check everything is rocking!

Same macros today. Appetite is again pretty low. I think the worst of the super supression has hit. Like yesterday, alot of cheap calories to get the volume in

For exercise, I did plenty of sets of tag with the kids, wrestling on the mat, playing hide and seek and tickle cuddles.

Felt nice to have energy to play with the kids. I had felt so run down lately that I bet I probably neglected that.

Nightly Update

So for those who might have missed it, on wednesday last week, i accidently shot 2 additional units of reta instead of HGH. I normally only use 2mg a week, but due to my mistake, im currently peaking at 4mg a week.

The appetite supression has been very aggressive, and today i've had serious gastro-intestinal issues. To be perfect honest, i haven't been able to be far from a toilet. I've been having basically liquid bowl movements all day. My stomach is absolutely destroyed. I can barely get any food in.

I've basically just been vaping and laying in bed. The THC helps with the stomach pains, and just generally is making this whole process bareable.

I still went and caught up with a friend to watch the superbowl, so i enjoyed a small plate of cheat food. Its really the only thing i've been able to eat.

I wont make this mistake again!

Training - Deload

I'm glad i was having a deload, there would be no way i could exercise today. I have been just trying to rest. I know my caloric intake has been low, so im trying to not burn many calories.

I mopped the house though.

Food

I had a small plate of food at my friends how to watch the super bowl. Some ribs, wings, cornbread, jalapeno poppers and sweet potato pie. I actually made the sweet potato pie. It's easily one of my favourite desserts!

I had two protein shakes during the day. It was literally all i was able to force down. Hopefully i'll be able to eat normally tommorrow!

Yeah my appetite is pretty smashed. I can eat, but damn i really have to me mentally on top of it, and force it down a bit. I cant imagine how this would feel at the 12mg max dose the clinical trails are going up to. I could see this compound make contest prep way easier. If you ran high enough reta on contest prep, i could imagine you just NEVER being hungry.

I would estimate that a total 3mg is currently peaked in my system. I've never ever done this much. The most i've done is 2mg.

Training - BBJ2 and Arms

So i normally train legs 2 tonight, but i decided i would take a deload next week, to help my lower back return to full form. Ill touch more on my approach to a deload later on. As a little treat to myself, i trained arms knowing i wont get a pump for a whole week. 😭

BB EZ bar Incline skull crushers - 32.5kg
BB EZ bar curls - 32.5kg
Tricep extension machine - machine setting 77kg
DB Hammer Curls - 15kg
Single arm tricep cable extension - machine setting 18kg
Concentration curls - 12.5kg

Got a sick pump. Had some carbs before hand and injected 600mg Carnitine into each arm for a total of 1200mg carnitine. Was the best way to spend a friday night!

I had my BJJ class this morning. But i slept in and missed the gi-class, so i went to the later no-gi class. Im better at no-gi so that was a win.

Did really well. I rolled with a pretty good brown belt. I couldn't really do much in the form of offensive moves, but i was able to defend and stay alive the whole 5 mins without him getting a sub on me. I thought he was just letting me work, but he said he was giving his all. I don't know if i believe him, but ill take it!

Food

Got the food down, at great effort. Holyshit im so goddman full. I feel like i've eaten 10k calories of beef. I had to eat so much granola cereal to get the calories in.

I still do my bjj and keep my steps up and i'll keep calories the same. Sometimes you need to take 1 step back, to take 2 steps forward!

Again, for anyone who missed the previous update, i accidently gave myself a 2mg shot of reta last wednesday, instead of my HGH shot.

The last couple of days, i have not been able to eat as my appetite is completely smashed.

I've also had the worst gastro-intestinal upset for the last 2 days. Just constant liquid shits. Plus, these horrible sulfur burps.

I've been doing my best to try to get food down, but its been almost impossible.

Since the accidental reta overdose, i have been double checking all my shots. I WILL NOT make this mistake again, its been hell.

Training - Deload

Still on my deload. I have been getting alot of rest, sleeping in later and going to bed earlier. I had no idea how behind on sleep i was. If i didn't have kids, i could sleep in all day!

I'm itching to get back to the gym. My lower back feels alot better, but im still going to take it easy when i get back into the gym on sunday.

Food

Bros, its been rough. The accidental reta overdose has made eating almost impossible. My appetite is crushed and im constantly shitting myself. Im getting in lots of shakes and cereal, but there is no chance i've hit my 3800 cals the last two days.

Im hoping any weight i lose will just be glycogen and food weight from my digestion. On the plus side, i should be nice and "cleaned out" ready to smash the last 3 weeks of the log.

Thinking i might crack open an injectable anadrol bottle for the last 2 weeks. ;)

Honestly, im just wanting this reta overdose to pass soon. I've been feeling gross, and i was hoping this deload would be less pooping and more recovering!

So interesting how everyone is different because I think I just hit my sweet spot at 4mg. 2-3mg caused me zero side effects. Now at 4mg I'm increasing my psyllium after 3 days in and all is well. With food I just force feed what's needed, zero emotional attachment to it.

I WILL NOT make this mistake again, its been hell.
It's all good bro this is how most of us have learned and why EVO is so full of experience, now you have your own too!

Yeah dude, it’s something I’ve struggled with. I know I need to push my weight higher and higher and accept some fat gain.

I want to do another mass phase after this before an aggressive 16 week cut.

I need to accept that I can’t be super shredded year around if I want to make meaningful progress

My guts have seemed to settle down. No more liquid shits constantly and I’ve been able to eat my normal calories.

I’m going insane not lifting. I know I have a weird mental issue around my body composition. I know I can’t maintain a super shredded physique year round.

Some fat gain while bulking is normal and I’ll survive!

Training - deload and bjj1

Deload continues. First weights session back will be this Sunday.

My lower back was feeling good again. I did my first bjj class of the week and I think I might have gone a little hard and my lower back is back to feeling tight again 😂

I think I’ll book in the physio soon. I’ll return to the gym Sunday like I planned, but I might switch around the routine to work around the lower back.

I don’t think I’ve actually done any serious damage, probably just needs some massage or something.

Getting old sucks.

Really looking forward to getting back into the gym. I so rarely take deloads, just because I love training so much. It kills me every time I need to take a week off!

Today was the first time that I felt like my cardio had suffered. I felt super tired and sluggish.

I haven’t been this heavy in a long time, and my cardio was holding up really well so far. I might need to add some incline walking to get used to my new heavier build:

The session went good though. I have found that I’m so much stronger than before, and I can pretty aggressively rip Americana’s from pretty much any position (so long as it’s not an equally sized person 🤣).

The food was a struggle today. I got it down, but gosh I feel full.

I was talking to my wife about the mental issues I’m facing around my body fat levels going up while I’m trying to grow.

She put it in perspective that worst case scenario, I would only TEMPORARILY be losing my condition, so I can be bigger long term.

Knowing that it’s not permanent is helping me adjust to the idea of bulking more seriously after this log, so my cut can be more productive!

Nightly Update

Going to get this update in quickly before I go out with the wifey for valentines days.

Currently crashing at my mums house. She looks after the kids while me and the misses get some dinner and drinks. Can’t stress enough how important it is to have a good support structure when you have a family. I’m very blessed in that regard (and many others).

But bros, I fucked up. I completely forgot about Valentine’s Day. Wife got me a nice card and booked a night out for us. I played it off and quickly got something after taking the kids to swimming. I think she knew, but didn’t care 🤣 she’s a good woman!

Training - deload

Last day of the deload. I cannot wait to train tommorrow, I’m absolutely pumped!

Even better, I’ll get to train with the wifey, as my mum will watch the kids in the morning. We used to train together all the time, but with kids we have to “divide and conquer”.

Can’t wait to show her feats of strength that will remind her the beast she married!

Food

In all transparency, I haven’t tracked calories today. I knew I would be going out and enjoying a restaurant meal, so I just ate my normal-ish meals and then I’ll be enjoying some dinner and drinks later tonight.
