Jones or Cormier

Jones will meet his match tonight no doubt. Jones is a very skilled fighter and great wrestler( a division 2 national champion). But no one has ever entered a ufc arena with as

many wrestling accolades as Cormier. Jones never gets taken down, tonight cormier will turn this into a wrestling match and grind away. . .If he doesn't knock bones Jones out.
I'm calling a unanimous decision to Cormier
 
I hope you guys are right about Cormeir pulling this off. The size difference at weigh ins is crazy. Even with Cormeir taking Jones down I feel those long limbs are gonna be trouble. Won't be surprised if jones gets a sub. I REALLY hope Jones gets beat down and humbled a bit.
 
If we are speaking purely on a personal level, I dislike Jon Jones, and I hope he loses. However, if we are speaking on a professional (objective) level of MMA fighting, I would give a 70/30 (maybe 65/35) to Jones. Barring some crazy flash KO, I believe he'll likely win this fight.

I'll be doing a post fight write up about it, so we'll see in a few hours. :)

Jones is good but, has only been tested once. Cormier is twice the fighter jones is in my boook

Ive got alot of money on Cormier--by submission
 
Jones is got reach and a lil quicker, but if Comier gets ahold of him he's done! Better watch jones lil spin with elbow. One lick of Comier could end it. So I'm mixed on calling it.

I am surprised by not hearing about him losing the fight against gustafsson. And i like Jones but when they gave him that fight it pissed me off. That is why i quit watching boxing.

this was exactly what i felt as well... i know he won once again and i pretty much stopped watching mma at this point as ive always been much more of a boxing enthusiast, even in its declining state but i do know jones won again, which is no surprise... i just don't feel the same way i once did about ufc but that's probably also due to my obsession with other sports... =)
 
The fihht was actually pretty good, but as expected, jones pulled it off even though I would have loved to see him get beat.

to me its not that hes cocky, if I could fight like that I'd probably be a little cocky to. It's that he's fake. I've called it since that dude was a prospect years ago, he's fake as a football bat. He puts on a humble face and plays mr respectful when in reality he's a cocky thug. My point, be who your going to be all the time. That's why I like the Diaz bro's, are they the smartest, nope, the nicest or humble, nope. But they aint faking anything. DC could have won, hopefully Gustufson gets the job done this time around.
 
as much as I would prefer Cyborg juiced to the gills, I think even without it she has the power to put Ronda away. I don't think Ronda likes to get hit....at all. I also think Holly Holm is playing it smart....she can easily beat Ronda standing but knows that doesn't mean shit until she works on her takedown defense to keep it there.

no no no...you misread or I wasn't clear......Cyborg has to keep it standing or she's fucked. I wouldnt even recommend she follows Ronda to the ground for ground and pound even if Ronda was wobbly....too risky....Cyborg should just call her back away and finish her with power punches. The ground is Ronda's world, no doubt

Haha I just read this too. They aren't gonna take his belt. He checked into a treatment facility to take care of his "problem". Sounds like he said all the right things and everyone is supportive of him.
 
Coke isn't a banned drug in the UFC. I don't care for the guy but hope he gets the treatment he needs. Would hate to see such a great fighter ruin his career over such a thing.

Yep test was beginning of Dec. They had to let him fight due to not being a banned substance. I agree it makes no sense.
 
He wasn't coked out during the fight, it was way before... abs coke definitely doesn't help a fighter. I used to train mma and I dots it on coke once and I heart was gonna explode. Kills your cardio. That was years ago, now days the only illegals I do is aas.

internet detectives narrowed it down to a wild night in brazil based on social media posting and timeline coke stays in system. test happened dec 4th.
