Hey Bros:

I have never been in a competition nor do I ever care to be. I love going to the gym for many reasons. However, the main reason in the end is not to be healthy, not to prepare for a contest....BUT TO LOOK GOOD!

Now there are so many things that I have heard competitors do before prepping to go on stage. I mean the list is actually pretty extensive. I am not interested in spending more time in primping myself than most women, but I thought I would share some of the things I do do to add asthetic value to my look:

Get a tan (I am trying Mt2 for the first time) and shave my chest and stomach. I dont have any hair on my back so that area is not a concern. I am sorry, but one thing I will NEVER DO is shave my legs. Just saying that sounds gay to me. No offence to those that do but its not for me.
However, I was concidering shaving my arms. WHo here has done it? Does it make a conciderable differnce in muscle tone appearance?

Also just for giggles, I would like to hear what else people do to compliment their physiques?
 
I don't shave either arms or legs since I don't compete, but my hair can get thick and I hate that look. I shave my own head so when I do that I hit my legs and arms which keeps the hair pretty thin & more aesthetic looking

I will shave from head to toe for competitions, but outside of that I don't shave my arms or legs. I don't typically have a problem with body hair however. I do tan often which helps a lot with bringing out the best in your look
 
I use clippers set on 1. If I wait too long between trimming the hair gets out of control.

I hit the arms with clippers with no guard on it.. Keeps the hair short to see the veins and muscles, but I will never shave them with a razor. I've seen so many people do this and get small derm infections or ingrown hairs.
I Never shave the legs... I guess I'm just not that much man hahaha.

I groom my body.

I shave my arms with a razor and sometimes my legs but the groomer that is posted above gets really deep so I can use that on my legs. I DO NOT use a razor on the rest of my body because of ingrown hairs. I use clippers

if you want to show definition you need to shave and tan.. plus you can use posing oil for comps and pics. I don't know the science behind it but it is true it will show your cuts much better doing this

I do this every 4 days or so and its a pain in the ass .. plus my body hair grows faster on gear too.

you can be skinny as fuck with barely any muscle definition and shave, use oil, and get a spray tan and look like a greek statue because it will show off the muscles you have 10X more. some of these guys at physique competitions have little muscle mass and can't even bench their bodyweight but they walk on stage looking great cause they know how to make it look like more than it is

as far as being 'gay' ... who cares? its 2014 and I couldn't care less if people thought I was gay cause I shave.. there are just as many gays who don't shave as there are straights who don't. it has no bearing on your sexuality.. if you want to see your results you gotta get rid of the hair that is covering up your muscles!

I like the Norelco razor above bc if u look it has to ends.
1st side I use for arms, it has a built in slide clipper adjustment 1-5.
I use no. 1 on arms.
I use other side for chest.
Model# norelco 2040.

As an avid cyclist I shave legs, chest mostly, but don't shave my arms cause my hair is so blonde there that there is no need.

I have a similar thing I use but I can't use it deep or I will get ingrown hairs on my body... this is why I want to get laser hair removal done
 
Oh ya I shave my upper torso and arms. Trim armpit hair shave in the goodies area and trim leg hair. But I do it because I'm really not that hairy of a person so its quick and u look sleek lol. I like the sleek look and so do the ladies. Lol.

Hell man I got a Teen and she likes to go there, I'm like "well if I have to" whole time I'm just eyeing up da pretty ladies...same with victoria secret. Hell when them women see me hanging with my daughter and joking with her in VC they eat it up. Now my daughter wont go with me in there b/c she gets embarrassed by the ladies talking to me lol. Seriously in this day and age everyone (gay/straight/bi, ect..) go everywhere and do everything together.

Imo it does! I routinely keep it shaved down below and physically I know it can't get bigger from hair removal-but it sure as hell LOOKS bigger after I shave(lmao). Most women I have asked about it, lean towards being clean. I think the upper torso looks good without hair personally, the bottom doesn't really matter (Imo) accept for your junk!

You must live in the boonies with that gay comment......Striaght guys are more groomed then gays these days...At least in my gym......Cyclist and swimmers do all the time......and only a third of them are homo's.....LOL

Nope...far from the boonies. Live about 3 miles from a gay community. As far as the NONE HOMOS go that prep themselves to a tee (like the ones your mentioned who shave their legs, wax their eyebrows, get manicures and get botox treatments) we have a name for those people here. We call them METROSEXUALS. Again...I did not mean any offence by it...its just not my thing.

I don't know the science behind bicycling but I would imagine its the same as swimming.. hair will impede your speed in both of those sports for sure. also having dived before its way easier to put on and off a wetsuit when you don't have hair

that's why marine animals are smooth and are such great swimmers and why apes suck at it
 
Many baskeball and hockey players as well as football have there legs shaved.......try getting your ankles and or knee taped every other day with a leg full of hair......

I shave my arms just cause I like the look. I have almost zero hair on chest and torso so it looks good. Legs, hell no.

I'm OUT on any married, or attached gals. Completely out! Cheating stuff makes me ill. Single female age 30-50, shy, but sexy. Yum!

I'm a sadistic SOB , I use an epalator , I think that's what it's called , it's my wife's and it's pink . But this thing spins around and plucks the hair , pulls the fuckers right from the core . I like it , feels good to me , but I tend to only do the funky patches and my tattoos like the one on my forearm . It gets like a baby's ass , smooth and takes a while to grow back . Don't try the sack tho , well , only if your into that kinda shit 😎 like me !

From personal experience bro.. when I was single and went through a phase banging milfs.. it was exciting at first because there was no drama.. just fun and they wanted to pay for everything.. but it got to a point where I felt so weird about doing what I was doing and one day my dad and younger brother were at the mall and found me with some milf that I was on a date with and it was awkward introducing her to them. My dad later had a smirk on his face and called me a dirty dog and told me to find a nice young gal my age and at that time I told him there isn't a mature girl my age around.. thank God I have my wife now who's a year older but that whole dating a cougar phase.. I don't know! It's fun but it does get a little weird after a while!
 
As for shaving.. I can get a little hairy and because I can't stand body hair I shave once a week. arms, chest, stomach.. everywhere else is fine. My legs are a little hairy but nothing crazy. I do notice when I shave everywhere else though that my body looks more defined and I could see the vascularity which is something I've always loved! So it's definitely worth and you notice a big difference if you want to make the time for shaving/trimming. I was watching a documentary on tv about male strippers and how most straight male strippers or just straight men of today shave way more than gay men and thought that was interesting. But everyone has their preferences. Some barely have any body hair so they don't have to worry about it as much!

I do in the summer, or on occassion I use Nair which is awesome too, although cleaning all that hair out of the tub is a pain, lol

Keep looking for the Perfect one.
All kinds of Bladed Razors 2 - 3 - 4 Blades.
I just found a New One that I just tried today "Gillette Body Razor" - has 3 Blades on a Swivel Head and 5 Lube Strips - did a very good job.
As far as the Pits go, I usually just keep them well trimmed, except when It's Beach Time......................................... JP

I got my Wahl barber kit I picked up for $15 and my Dollar Shave Club blades I pay $6 every 2 month's for...great blades without the high price tag...

^^^ bro I tried the nono its complete nonsense, the shit doesn't work..it took me an hour to even get rid of a little hair on my body. they say you have to use it repeatedly for months but all it did was burn the hair on my body and it grew right back

someone has to invent something that actually kills the root forever.
 
Only hair I ever have to complain about is my damn beard and neck. Other than that I'm smooth like a native.

Thanks for the Feedback, I kind of thought that it was too good to be true.
As far as the Lasers go, I would need a "Space Based Laser" to do a Wide Path Shot.
I'm not Bushy, just got a little everywhere.
This Shaving Shit is getting Really Old, the older I get, I sometimes go for days without Shaving my Face.
My Hands aren't Steady enough to use my Straight Razor anymore, and I need Reading Glasses.
That's the Two things you need to use a Straight Razor - Good Eyes - and a Rock Steady Hand............................ JP

Why wouldn't you just use Nair? Rub it on and wait about 10 minutes then go in the shower and it washes the hair right off...
 
I started shaving my arms about 6 months ago and I really like the way they look especially when I'm lifting but damn I get tired of shaving them twice a week.

Yeah I've used Nair in the past. It's all right. I don't mind shaving personally especially cuz I only do it once a week. They had a 5 minute nair or something like nair and I remember years back using that shit and putting on a little over 5 minutes maybe a minute or 2 minutes longer.. holy shit I had the worst chemical burn on my chest and stomach area.. never again!

When ur pits get about 1in long dont shave but get a good WAX done. It will last longer.

I haven't used nair in years, it was a lot of effort to do all that and my skin got rashed up really good on it. I would be very careful using it if you have never tried.

there is this other stuff called 'magic cream' which I have used however I get ingrown hairs from that shit .

you guys who have straight hair are lucky as fuck. if you have curly thick body hair you will get ingrown hairs like crazy
 
I don't shave because I'm a man. Real men have hair. My wife says real women like real men. I also have a beard. Real men also have beards. Facial and body hair is what separates us from women and children. I do sometimes trim the pubes up a bit, because when it gets too long an bushy, it's not a good thing... but never shave.

Except scientific studies done on this say you are wrong, that the majority of women do not like hairy men.
 
I do not shave my arms clean with a razor, but I do trim the hair once a week using a Wahl trimmer. Same with the legs, but less frequent. I'd rather not do it, but the U.S. mass media has created a systemic prejudice against hairy men like me.
 
It doesn't have to do with science. It has to do with media, and the whore-ish direction society is turning towards.
