that’s normal, leg days drain the most out of anyone since you’re moving the heaviest loads and biggest muscle groups. good sign overall energy is up though, just make sure recovery and food are lined up after legs so you bounce back stronger. :D
Oh, I'm going to bed as soon as this hockey game is over lol

Hey gang, nothing exciting for tonight. Workout tomorrow, here's my food. As far as the cycle is going, I still feel amazing, feel great in the gym, everything is going well. Checked my BP tonight just for the hell of it, 104/64, which is right in the range of where is been since I lost the weight. Not much more to say other than some of my joints are feeling the extra weight on the lifts.
@VerticallyChallenged great work with the food and can’t wait to see the training. Keep it up big fella.

When the leafs aren't doing well it's somehow not as bad when the habs really suck 😂

Go leafs go
habs and leafs I'm learning :P

Yesterday was a bit of a wash. Went out for a late breakfast/early lunch then had to do the rear brakes on the truck which actually turned into a huge nightmare that ate up the entire day. Shovelled some food in my mouth at 9 pm and went to bed. 5 hour drive to my cottage today, luckily it's my day off at the gym. Here is yesterday's workout and food

Looks like a really solid day to me. Why the wash?

Looks like it's gonna be some nice weather for the cottage this weekend. Enjoy

Looks like a decent training day overall, you still got the work in even with all the chaos and food timing being off. Strength holds up fine on days like that and missing a bit of structure here and there won’t hurt as long as the rest of the week is consistent. :D

Haven't logged all my food yet, but pretty standard day. Been dealing with my son, he had his wisdoms pulled this afternoon. Did get my morning workout in though, see attached

Ah good. That woulda been terrible for the dude who's all banged up already.

I remember when I did mine I was 16 and they told me they had to help me stand up. I was like naw I got this, took 1 step and dropped to the floor lol. I was sooo wasted. My dad had a great laugh.

Training got done and that’s what matters. Weights looked solid and it’s good you still pushed even with family stuff going on. Food being standard is fine for now, just make sure you hit your protein and keep carbs steady later since the day got thrown off with your son’s surgery. :D

Getting the food in is always the challenge lately. Lose track of time and next thing you know it's 7pm and I've only eaten once. I am keeping protein up, which is good, but I haven't lost a lb since I bumped up my calories. Maintaining at almost the exact weight for three weeks now. I'd like to think I'm recomping beautifully, but my goal is still to lower my BF from 20ish somewhere into the teens by mid Jan

If weight has been holding for 3 weeks even with more calories, then yes you’re probably recomping some but it also could mean you’re not in a strong enough deficit to drop fat.
Protein being steady is good, but missing meals and cramming late is what’s holding progress back. If the goal is to get from 20% into the teens by Jan you’ll want to tighten structure, spread the meals, and make sure carbs and fats don’t creep too high at night when you’re making up food. Consistency with timing will make the drop happen faster. :D @VerticallyChallenged

Noted. Today was better, but I still missed lunch and am trying to make up at night. Time to dial in the focus a bit more. On the plus side, I'm feeling damn good in the gym. Very little fatigue despite lifts going up every workout. Also, aside from my knees hating me on leg days, soreness is very minimal

Damn knees!! Are you meal prepping?
I cook up a pile of ground beef and ground chicken and diced veggies and sweet potatoes. All I have to do is scoop, weigh, measure and eat!! That fast.
Try your hardest not to miss meals

Missing lunch and making it up late will hold back fat loss, so locking meals in earlier will make a difference. Good sign that energy is high and lifts are climbing every session, that shows recovery and food quality are solid. :D Though I checked the pics I cant see total macros, can you check again? @VerticallyChallenged
Knees flaring on leg day just means adjust the load and exercise choice so you can keep progressing without pain.

Bros. That's good. That your soreness is minimal. It means you're getting better conditioning. @VerticallyChallenged Just be careful with the knees. Don't overdo it.

@VerticallyChallenged If you miss a meal, it's not the end of the world. Seems to be working just fine for you as long as you have good energy and you feel good in the gym as you do then that's a good sign.

Go with it @VerticallyChallenged, it is working!
But when it is time to eat, eat well and when it is time to rest, rest. You have a big output and a huge deficit input, just listen to your body!

sounds very good man. we love to hear when someone feels good @VerticallyChallenged Not being fatigued is a beautiful thing since most people suffer from that.

So I want you all to know I didn't fall off the face of the earth. Truth is, I was so busy on my 14 off I just wasn't really online much. I had to go to the family summer camp and close it up for the winter, a six hour drive from my place. Stayed there a few nights, then back home for a couple days, then back to my wife's hometown for a surprise 70th for the father in law my wife and MIL have been working on for about 6 months. That's another 4 hour drive each way and we were there for a couple days. Didn't eat the greatest during the two trips, but did prioritize getting 180-200g protein in, and I did miss 3 workouts out of 10 over that two week period. Not ideal, but I'm happy with that. Before I wouldn't have bothered at all. Weight seems to be headed in the right direction despite the hiccups, so I'm feeling pretty good. Back at work, here is today's food and workout. Pretty much going up every session, I felt REALLY strong today.

It was, but things slow down now for the winter. Other than a 21 day run at work at Christmas, then a week in the Dominican right after, Canadians tend to hide from November to May lol

welcome back to the EVO family :DYou handled that stretch well and keeping 180 to 200 g protein through travel makes a big difference when training time drops. Missing 3 of 10 sessions is nothing to stress since recovery likely improved from the break and it shows in your strength jumps. That's your deload basically :D

Now that you’re back in training hold calories steady for 1 full week before adjusting anything. Keep training progression simple dont overload as you come back. @VerticallyChallenged

Nice bro, that doesn't sound too bad you can get back into the groove easily. I had a look at your screenshots but how'd you get the protein in on your trip?

Those winter preps sound serious! We just got our first spring day in my town in NZ this week and I'm emerging from the box I spent the winter hiding in 😀

Honestly, just made sure I was eating a shit ton of meat and upped my shakes to two a day.

Food looks good and your time off is nothing to beat yourself up about plus you still got some workouts in. You might have felt really strong for that last workout due to taking some time off and being fully recovered and ready to rock. Very wise choice to keep your protein high the whole time off as well! Your transformation is coming along very nicely!!

No worries bro. Do your best and be honest with yourself. That's how you will improve.

It's funny cuz most guys fall off when they're living the camp life with all the free food, lack of training options, and other distractions. But your dialed on camp life and seem to go off a bit when you come home. You're pretty different that way.

Ib brighter news our Leafs won the first game last night. Maybe this year?

I was actually there for game 5 against Florida last year. Spent a grand on two tickets for that s show
That's still amazing though. They hadn't gotten to round 2 in a while. The real shit show was game 7 lol.

If Stolarz didn't get knocked out they could've won and then who knows. Florida went all the way.

Fuk Bennett. Traitor to his home city. Hate that guy so much. I was cheering for Tkachuk when they scrapped in 4 nations lol. Brady beat his ass

Legs Ugh.

Chicken rice soup actually sounds pretty good, especially on a hot day. You definitely know how to put together some interesting meals. Don't forget to get some pictures of them as well. @VerticallyChallenged
I'm out at the mine for two weeks. They make the stuff, I just eat it lol. Actually my wife makes ALOT for me to bring, it's hard to eat well here

@VerticallyChallenged what kind of things are you mining? i hope you aren't inhaling a lot of dust doing that type of job. you don't want to end up with respiratory problems when you get older.

I am older lol. We're mining gold, but I've been working on the industry for 30+ years. My lungs probably aren't the best tbh, but not horrible

do you wear some type of protection when you do that? also if you find gold can you just put it in your pocket without anyone noticing? that is what i would do lol @VerticallyChallenged

Ah if only it was that simple lol. Very rarely see any gold at all, and where it's poured is locked up like fort Knox lol. I don't wear much PPE now days, I'm behind a desk all day

I want to see GOLD lol :P i know the security there is tight I bet.

Ok here we go. Upper 2 back focus. Felt great. Love that we have a bit of new gear on our work gym.
Now to get serious. You guys are all great, so damn supportive and I came in here initially with my hackles up, especially with Lev. I'm apologizing, and with that comes a confession. When I mentioned NPP a week ago, I had already started. It was in my initial plans and I had already bought it, but shied away as I wasn't sure because by hematocrit from when I was big. Anyways, I'm sorry I kept it from you all.
So this is what my protocol has been. 400 test, 300 mast and 250npp split to EOD. Feeling amazing, I know it's early but I feel no difference in mood, libido through the roof, erections actually a lot harder and a lot more often than before cycle. (Like wife and I been going at it multiple times a day when I'm home) Then only thing I've really noticed from the NPP (and I know it's early) is that my strength seems to be up every workout. I'm sleeping better too. Like I can't think of anything bad to say. I do check my blood pressure since the start of my whole cycle at this point I'm still in the 100/65 range, I think once 105 ish. Also, again I know it's only a month, but zero signs of hair loss, acne had flared for about a week, but seems to have settled now. Don't know what else to say. So far I've only been injecting in delts and Kate hits my ass when I'm home, I have a hard time doing my own glutes, and quads terrify me.
Since we upped my protein and calories I've been gaining, and that was before NPP. Not huge amounts, but I was up to 179, and sitting around 175 right now. I haven't been doing as much walking or treadmill as I usually do though, so that's kinda on me. I have started getting up early for cardio this rotation though.
Anyways, here's tonight's workout and food

I am older lol. We're mining gold, but I've been working on the industry for 30+ years. My lungs probably aren't the best tbh, but not horrible
you are a young buck to me. i'm probably the oldest guy on here

Anyways, here's tonight's workout and food
now you are back with the EVO family :D happy to see you training again @VerticallyChallenged
All good on owning it, that honesty matters. The 400 test, 300 mast, 250 npp setup is balanced, but masteron needs to go down to 100mgs and npp to 200, perfect for early progress without crushing e2 or driving blood too thick. Strength and libido jumps are expected right around this point, and BP looks great, so keep logging it weekly.

Training looks solid and weight gain is right in range. Stay on that early cardio to manage hematocrit and appetite, and rotate pins between delts, glutes, and ventrogluteal to keep tissue fresh.

Sounds good. Mast that low though, even if I've been doing 250 since the start? I'll take your advice, just seems like a huge drop considering I'm feeling so damn good. At the start of things, I was 375 test and 250 mast, and bumped them when I added in NPP.

If you feel good stay at the level :D I am more cautious with it but lets try to stay and lightly play with NPP as long as no mental sides. @VerticallyChallenged

Sounds good then. But yeah, so far amazing. Not feeling want mental sides at all. My mood definitely elevated when I started mast, but nothing at all changed mood wise with npp

Ok, so nutritionally today sucked. But the workout was decent. There is a huge flu going around the mine, everyone is sick and of course I got it. Luckily it was literally a day and a half and I was back to normal, and it landed on my rest day. But fuck it knocked me out. Trying a new tracker app, so far I'm digging it. Screenshots below

Good session considering you were down with the flu, bouncing back fast shows recovery is solid.
The day off lined up perfectly so no harm done, just adjust next day on macros :D

Keep training intensity moderate for a few days before pushing heavy again, let the body recover. @VerticallyChallenged

But I still gotta get these steps in, I was not feeling good not getting my walking done. Today was much better, 10k before 5am

It needs to be lol. I sit at a desk for 12 hours so it's my only chance. Did a different route this morning and got in 30 floors of stairs too

Happy Thanksgiving bro. That trap bar deadlift will come. Program some hamstring isolation work into your training and watch that deadlift number blow up

Good to see you back on routine. The early walks stack well with your chest day and will keep you leaning out while strength stays steady.
I like you are trying to keep protein high, in the morning is that actual pizza or just cheese? :D @VerticallyChallenged

That is what I call weird lol. I asked for a loaded egg white omelette with cheese. What I got was 4 egg whites with that stretchy pizza cheese and no other toppings at all. So I logged egg white and pizza cheese lmao
