Love that. Being able to train together is amazing. I really admire it. I've been trying to convince my wife for years but no luck yet. She'll do the occasional cardio session while I train but that's it so far. I'll wear her down one day tho lol.
She's just finding her legs in all this, but she pushes hard. Her leg press is over 500, heavier than mine lol

Wow that's some motivation. Time to start sneaking in some extra leg sessions. That cannot stand lol.

She's the strong silent type. Not really into the Internet thing lol
Me neither bro. I literally have no social media. Haven't been on a forum in over 20 years. The EVO fam is very different. Always welcoming and supportive. More women are joining every week too.

@VerticallyChallenged the training looks really good. I would try to get the protein up a bit

Changed my macros on the advice of Lev the other day. Shooting for 200 protein now
This will be great for building muscle while cutting at the same time. Good lean gains to come. Protein is the building blocks for muscle, and the more muscle you have the more calories you burn. It's a win win

Nicely done 💪

Today's workout
Please note, when I record RPE, I don't consider 10 true muscle failure. When I start to really break form to get the last rep out, I record it as 10. I'm working out alone half the time so I really don't go to true failure unless it's something I can't get hurt on.

I'll record food at the end of the day, but I'm really struggling to eat. Think I'm catching a bug, been nauseous all day. So far I'm managed to squeeze in breakfast, a protein shake and half a sandwich. My stomach just isn't happy today.

Aside from that, my question for the day is how long before some people start to notice the "effects" of longer ester compounds. It's only been a week, and I wasn't expecting anything for at least a few weeks. Nothing in the gym has changed, but one of the things that attracted me to Mast was how awesome a lot of people seem to feel on it. And I've gotta say, until I caught this bug today, the past few days have been pretty amazing. I mean my mood is just great, I'm totally upbeat and relaxed and TBH, horny as fuck. Not sure if it's placebo or I'm just having a great week, but I'm feeling pretty damn good!

That's an interesting take on RPE. Makes sense for maintaining good form. Looks like the movements you were doing would be fairly safe to push to absolute failure on your own it you want. You're not at planet fitness anymore, no lunk alarms lol. You can drop the stack if you have to.

Do you think your mother in law food poisoned you?? Lol

What type of mast are you running?

Enanthate, which is why I'm not really expecting a ton after a week, but I am feeling damn good

Same thing happened to me when I was on NPP. It's a fast acting compound but I felt a change right away.

The mast is building to saturation right now, so you could be feeling a change for sure. You'll really really feel it in a month.

Great update Bru. Love this work

Well, whatever bug I have seems to have worked it's way out. Didn't miss any workouts, but they suffered mainly because I wasn't eating worth shit. I'll post today's food and workout when I get to my room (I'm back at work) but here's my Hevy link for those of you who use it

For @Mobster , weights included. Remember, I'm still a little guy lol!
Switched things up and tried an AM workout. After being up 14 hours, getting an effective workout in is hard. I found getting up and working out this mooring more productive, but I got the shakes halfway through. I'm assuming two things. Legs takes the shit out of me, and working out fasted sucks. I gotta figure something out because breakfast doesn't open until 4 am at work. Anyways, hears today. Some PR's in there, feeling pretty good on the mast/test. Still feeling with nausea though, not sure if I just have a bug or the tirzepatide just isn't liking the increase in food. See attachments

@VerticallyChallenged bros good work! the triceps bickback and bicep curl cable is on point. i love the seated chest flys too
Thanks, it's the first program I wrote up myself instead of just following someone else's, so it's definitely a work in progress. The cuffed lateral raises for example will probably go, they are great at the gym at home, but they were embarrassingly futile on the machine here at work lol

bros yeah always going to change it up

this is a nice workout routine. the bicep curls and seated chest flys are amazing. i like the short rests @VerticallyChallenged
I definitely take longer ones on the heaviest stuff like squats etc. Certain muscles for me fatigue way easier. Delts, I swear I could train every day

I struggle training fasted. I've never had the shakes, but my strength is pretty diminished. I did a fasted session 3 weeks back and I was down 2 reps on all movements.

Not everyone can train fasted btw.

Ok, so I decided am workouts aren't for me at work anyways. Back to evening, so I went tonight. Two in a day lol! Mind you, they were an upper and a lower and about 15 hours apart. I feel good actually, and hit 6 pr's! 3 were pretty new exercises to me though so they don't count lol. Food was gross, but it's macros. Time to hit the hay! I am going to start following all of you guys, wherever I get more than ten minutes. 11 more shifts lol

Keep up the great work bro! The fact you can stay this motivated after working such crazy long shifts, and living in a camp, is really inspirational. Talk about no excuses. You are a beast!

Training looks good and food looks good as well actually you high really good protein macros :D well done! @VerticallyChallenged how did you eat 50 grams of cheesecake? :P you have some good self control! lol hard to do I'd have to have 3-4 slices minimum.

Actually, it's easy here cause they're portioned into little squares and your grab one and run the hell out of the kitchen lol

Ya I'm good for cardio and light weight training but I'm probably one of those can't train fasted people, well not optimally.
Fasted training not for all for sure.

Grab and run fast as you eat :P lol I don't keep any at home as well, I tell my clients the same. Only protein bars, otherwise it's destruction mode! lol
Honestly though, we don't keep desserts at home cause I will eat all of it

Random question. When I had my most recent bloodwork, my estrogen was down significantly, which was a good thing because it's been quite high ever since I started test, and I was dealing with some sides from that. Mainly bad cystic acne and later problems with erection quality. I was surprised to see it down though because it really hasn't budged much at all, and I didn't really change a whole lot other than the diet and the weight loss. Could the weight loss have been that big of a factor? I know my hematocrit is also in the 40's for the first time in years too. But since starting the cycle, with the introduction of mast, I also changed my pinning frequency from twice a week to EOD. I notice my acne is quickly vanishing. In fact the only place I seem to have anything right now is on my scalp, which was always the worst. Just wondering is it's simply the estrogen, the frequency being more stable, the mast helping "block" sides or a bit of all three. Oh, and I greatly can't remember the last time I've felt this all around great

Yes your suspicions are correct. Lowering body fat leads to less aromatization there by lowering estrogen.

Anecdotally, increasing pinning frequency has been known to decrease side effects. I've been pinning EOD for a month now just to try it out. I'll see what my bloodwork says at the end of the month. Mainly I'm pinning EOD so I'm able to use thinner insulin pins.

Weight loss definitely plays a role because body fat tissue produces aromatase, which drives estrogen conversion, so dropping fat lowers that activity. Pinning EOD also keeps your levels steadier, so you avoid those big peaks where estrogen usually spikes and causes sides. Masteron has its own mild anti-estrogenic effect, so it’s another layer helping reduce symptoms. With all three happening at once it makes sense your bloodwork shifted and the acne cleared. Hematocrit coming down is tied to less strain on your system too, so overall it’s a good sign you’re in a healthier balance right now. @VerticallyChallenged

Hey gang, I haven't fallen off the rails, but my eating has for the past couple days. Like I said it gets difficult at work. But I'm back in the groove and tracking, I'll have my workout and food log in tonight. Aside from that, feeling really great. Like really good. Workouts feel awesome! When can I throw in NPP? Lol

For your goals I wouldn't recommend NPP at the moment. You're trying to recomp and NPP is the exact opposite of a recomp tool. I think mast and var is great for what you're hoping to achieve.

When you update a bit more we can talk about NPP, a bit concerned about how your training food is going, you ok? :D @VerticallyChallenged

I was more busting balls. I'm ok. Bit of a rough couple days with sleep and my kid got hit by a car so I fell a bit off track with tracking and such. Saying that, I didn't eat too horribly, hit all my workouts and they were productive as hell to be honest, just not much time to sit at the computer. I'm back in the swing again already though, literally in between sets right now lol

Glad to hear you’re ok and even with everything going on you still hit your workouts hard. Rough few days with sleep and that scare with your kid would throw anyone off, so credit to you for keeping food decent and training consistent. Being back in rhythm already shows how locked in you are. :D EVO family love your way! @VerticallyChallenged

Well, I'm making a liar out of myself. No update tonight as far as food, I have had time to put everything in, it looks like I'm leaving the mine. Son is going into surgery right now. Nothing life threatening, but his ankle is shattered, and his knee and hip are messed up too. I did manage to log my workout, even though I had to completely re-enter it because I accidently deleted it the first time. Workout attached

@VerticallyChallenged I’m sorry about your son, but I really hope surgery fixes all. best EVO family wishes his way. :)
I’m very impressed you trained today, shows your dedication.

That’s professional equipment. :)
Exactly? The leg press is so awesome, all we had here was a stack one that only went to 170lb. And the barbells. I feel spoiled lol

I hope your son is ok. That must be horrible to be away when something like that happens. I'm sure he's a tough little dude like his pops and he'll be good to go in a few months with a cool scar to show the ladies in the future.

It's been a wild couple days, I'll tell you guys that much. Back at home, and work was actually nice enough to let me finish my rotation from home. Roberts back home and doing alright, but he'll be off work for a while. As far as workouts, throughout all this I only missed one, and although I wasn't really tracking food, I was pretty mindful of what I eat. Back in my groove though, one more shift and off for 14! Today's food attached

Welcome back. Happy to hear your son is doing ok. Hit by a car sounds really scary. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and just has another scar and story to tell

Oh it was, he ended up in surgery which is why I went AWOL. They had to reconstruct his foot, his knee is messed up and his hip too. He has a road ahead of him

Shit so sorry to hear that. I thought it was only the ankle..

You should get him on the healing peptides. BPC 157 and TB 500. I've seen surgeons talk about how shocked they were when their patients hoped on those peptides and cut the healing time way down.

Glad you’re back home and that Robert’s doing alright, even if he’s sidelined from work for a bit. Missing just one workout through all that shows real consistency, and being mindful with food still keeps you on track even without logging. Now that you’re back in rhythm and have 14 off coming, it’s a perfect window to lock training and meals down tighter. :D

That’s tough, reconstructive surgery on a foot plus knee and hip damage is no small thing. He’s got a tough road but being home gives him a better headspace to heal. It’s going to take time, but with support he’ll get through it. Stay steady on your end too, because keeping your groove while he recovers will help both of you. Stay strong and keep logging with the EVO family. @VerticallyChallenged

Hey gang, nothing exciting for tonight. Workout tomorrow, here's my food. As far as the cycle is going, I still feel amazing, feel great in the gym, everything is going well. Checked my BP tonight just for the hell of it, 104/64, which is right in the range of where is been since I lost the weight. Not much more to say other than some of my joints are feeling the extra weight on the lifts.

BP at 104/64 is excellent, especially holding steady after dropping weight. Feeling strong in the gym and joints only a little achy from heavier lifts is a good sign the cycle is doing its job. Keep food consistent and manage recovery, that’ll keep the joints happy while you push the numbers up. :D

I keep a fairly close eye on my BP, it was quite high and I was on meds when I was big. Still have a pile of ramipril in my trunk of old meds lol

Good that you’re tracking it, BP can creep up quick especially when you’re running heavier cycles. If you’ve still got ramipril around just keep it tucked away but focus on staying lighter and letting the cardio and diet do the work first. Meds help but nothing beats bringing the bodyweight and water down for keeping BP in check long term. :D

@VerticallyChallenged , that blood pressure. Number is fantastic man. You won't find that many people with those kinds of numbers. Especially in the US.

Us Canadians though lol, JK! When I was big it was in the 140/100 range so I'm quite proud of that.

Not too pick on the US, but eating habits and food culture is a lot better up here. That's not saying much though, Canada definitely has an obesity epidemic going on here too

It usually sits a bit lower, I'm wondering if it's creeping up a bit because of my cycle. I was on ramipril for the longest time because it was so high when I was big, but I never paid attention until a few months ago when I was getting head rushes and dizziness. Turns out it was too low. Stopped the meds and I leveled off in the 95/55 range, up to 100/60 ish. Feeling great

the issue in canada is your economy is even more dependent on food industry then here. so tough to crack down on processed junk.

Energy had been great overall lately! Legs always takes the shit out of me though lol
that’s normal, leg days drain the most out of anyone since you’re moving the heaviest loads and biggest muscle groups. good sign overall energy is up though, just make sure recovery and food are lined up after legs so you bounce back stronger. :D
