Annoyingly, this is the first session of the week — but that doesn’t matter. We’re here now and the work still gets done.

After watching Coach place at IFBB Nationals on the weekend (should’ve taken first, but I’m not the judge), and seeing a few mates pull placings and even take home some firsts, the fire has been lit even harder.

Seeing everyone up there has pushed my drive to a completely different level. I’m absolutely locked in on taking this to the next stage and bringing my best possible package next year.

No excuses. No backing off. Time to level the fuck up.

Training on an RDO always hits differently, and today’s Chest / Shoulders session absolutely proved it. Everything was firing from the moment I walked in. Strength felt on point, the pumps were ridiculous, and the peri-workout meal kicked in perfectly. One of those sessions where you know you’re operating at full capacity.

Today’s pre-workout stack was:

Chest got completely annihilated today. The focus was there, the intensity was there, and every movement felt dialled in. Even with the shoulder playing up slightly on the top set of incline, the work still got done.

I’m going to do everything I can to keep this drive alive and ride this wave for as long as possible. Attending Nationals and watching friends — along with so many others — absolutely crush their goals and overcome the anxiety of stepping on stage was honestly unreal to witness.

The amount of discipline, sacrifice, and courage it takes to get up there is next level, and seeing it all firsthand has lit an even bigger fire under me. The motivation right now is at an all-time high and I’m beyond hungry to chase this properly.

Today’s pull session was a seriously quick in-and-out type of workout. After finishing a 13-hour shift, my only focus was getting to the gym, smashing out the session, and getting home to the Mrs and the kids for a feed.

Even after a massive day at work, I still wanted to make sure I got something done. The energy might not have been at 100%, but the consistency is what matters most. Showing up and putting in the work, even on the long days, is what keeps the momentum moving forward.

Sometimes the sessions aren’t about chasing PBs or spending hours in the gym — sometimes it’s simply about staying locked in, ticking the box, and keeping the routine alive.

Saturday was an absolute win from start to finish. The young lad’s birthday turned out exactly how he wanted it to, and seeing how much fun he had made the whole day worth it. The Mrs and I had an awesome time as well, which made it even better.

Had to flex on the other dads at the arcade too and put up the high score on the punching machine — as expected, of course. 🤣

After the party, the other two kiddos headed off to their grandma’s place to hang out for the night. The birthday boy then decided that Mum and Dad should hit the gym and take him along with us, which honestly made the day even better.

Ended up having an unreal leg session. Everything was firing, the energy was high, and pretty much every movement ended up being a PB. One of those sessions where everything just clicks perfectly.

Awesome family day, awesome training session, and memories all around. Hard to ask for much more than that.

Log Update (Sunday)

Mother’s Day today, so work was a bit of a slog. It wasn’t even overly busy, which somehow made the shift drag on even slower than usual. One of those days where the clock just refuses to move.

Despite that, I was absolutely locked in on getting an upper and tricep session done the entire day. From the moment I woke up, the focus was already there. No matter how slow or draining the shift felt, the plan was always to finish work and get straight into training.

The motivation and drive right now are on another level, especially after Nationals. Even on the slower, mentally draining days, the discipline is still there and the work still gets done.

Mother’s Day today, so work was a bit of a slog. It wasn’t even overly busy, which somehow made the shift drag on even slower than usual. One of those days where the clock just refuses to move.

Despite that, I was absolutely locked in on getting an upper and tricep session done the entire day. From the moment I woke up, the focus was already there. No matter how slow or draining the shift felt, the plan was always to finish work and get straight into training.

The motivation and drive right now are on another level, especially after Nationals. Even on the slower, mentally draining days, the discipline is still there and the work still gets done.

Saturday was an absolute win from start to finish. The young lad’s birthday turned out exactly how he wanted it to, and seeing how much fun he had made the whole day worth it. The Mrs and I had an awesome time as well, which made it even better.

Monday Update

RDO as usual today. Body clock still had me up early regardless, so it was straight into the morning routine — hustle the kids off to school and get the Mrs to the gym before getting stuck into the day properly.

Today’s hamstring session honestly had to be one of the MOST anabolic sessions I’ve had to date. Everything felt absolutely dialled in from the first working set. The contractions, the pumps, the intensity — every single thing was firing exactly how it should. One of those sessions where you walk out knowing you left absolutely nothing in the tank.

Coach also blessed me today with more gear, more food, and more peptides, so naturally all of it got put straight to work immediately. 🤝

The motivation right now is through the roof and sessions like this are making it very clear that the vision for next year is starting to become real. Locked in and hungry for more.

Workout Review

Absolutely incredible workout. Nothing more needs to be said about it — just an all-round great session.

Everything clicked perfectly from start to finish. The energy was there, the focus was there, and every set felt exactly how it should. One of those rare sessions where everything flows effortlessly and you walk out knowing you gave it absolutely everything.

Workouts like this are a reminder of why we do it.

Final Ramblings

The fire has officially been lit… and it’s quickly turning into a fucking wildfire.

The motivation, the drive, the hunger to improve — it’s all building stronger by the day. Every session, every meal, every bit of effort is pushing things further forward, and right now the mindset is completely locked in.

Now it’s all about staying on track, staying disciplined, and remaining consistent day after day. That’s where the real progress is made.

Log Update (Saturday)

Saturday was an absolute win from start to finish. The young lad’s birthday turned out exactly how he wanted it to, and seeing how much fun he had made the whole day worth it. The Mrs and I had an awesome time as well, which made it even better.

Had to flex on the other dads at the arcade too and put up the high score on the punching machine — as expected, of course. 🤣

After the party, the other two kiddos headed off to their grandma’s place to hang out for the night. The birthday boy then decided that Mum and Dad should hit the gym and take him along with us, which honestly made the day even better.

Ended up having an unreal leg session. Everything was firing, the energy was high, and pretty much every movement ended up being a PB. One of those sessions where everything just clicks perfectly.

Awesome family day, awesome training session, and memories all around. Hard to ask for much more than that.

Tuesday Update

Tuesday ended up being a pretty full-on day — busy shift at work followed by an equally hectic gym session afterwards. By the end of the day, everything was moving at a million miles an hour, but the plan was always to get in and get the work done regardless.

Even with the chaos of the day, I already knew I was going to smash the session out. Having another RDO lined up for Wednesday definitely helped keep the motivation high and made it easier to stay locked in mentally.

Long days, busy schedules, and fatigue are always going to be there, but the consistency and routine are starting to become second nature now. The momentum is building and the fire is still burning strong.

Workout Review

For some reason, the workouts after a full day of work always seem to hit harder. Even when most of my energy has already been drained during the shift, something just switches on once it’s time to train.

I definitely felt pretty spent heading into this session, but the peri-workout meal of grapes and kiwi fruit absolutely hit on another level. The energy kicked in perfectly and everything started firing once I got moving properly.

It’s a strange feeling walking into the gym tired from work, then somehow finding another gear once the session starts. Those are the workouts that really build discipline — showing up exhausted and still finding a way to perform.

Workout Review

Put up some fairly decent numbers during today’s quad session and honestly couldn’t be happier with how everything felt. The strength was there, the pump was ridiculous, and the whole workout flowed exactly how I wanted it to.

Looking back, it’s pretty wild to see the progress that’s been made. I’ve included some comparison photos from when I tore my bicep back in October last year compared to this week, and the improvement is honestly huge if I do say so myself.

At the time, the injury felt like a massive setback, but seeing the recovery and progress now really puts things into perspective. Proof that consistency, patience, and continuing to show up day after day genuinely pays off.

Still a long way to go, but things are finally starting to move in the right direction.

Thursday Update

Well… today’s update isn’t exactly a great one. Ended up with the whole family getting absolutely flattened by food poisoning and spending the day stuck at home trying to survive it.

That being said, my refusal to give up on the gym — even while violently firing from both ends — still remained strong. Took enough Gastro-Stop and Hydralyte to put down a bull elephant and somehow still managed to get to work. 🤣

Definitely wasn’t the most glamorous or strongest session I’ve ever had, but honestly, sometimes it’s just about showing up and doing what you can. Not every workout is going to feel amazing, and not every day is going to go to plan, but the consistency mindset is still there regardless.

Safe to say the recovery meal afterwards probably hit harder than the workout itself.

With the aid of my trusty intra carbs and some chocolate coconut water (sorry Coach 🤣), I managed to whip out a fairly quick one-hour back session.

Honestly, considering how the day started and how rough everything felt beforehand, the session actually went really well. Strength definitely wasn’t at its best, which was expected, but the work still got smashed out regardless.

At that point, it wasn’t about chasing crazy numbers or PBs — it was about getting in, staying consistent, and finding a way to push through despite feeling like absolute death beforehand.

Honestly, I probably should’ve rested — but I’m not the type of person who can sit around doing nothing all day when I’m off work.

The session definitely wasn’t perfect and could’ve been better, but at the end of the day, we still got it done. Considering how rough things had been with the food poisoning and feeling run down, just getting in there and putting in the work was still a win in my eyes.

Not every workout is going to be a PB session or feel incredible, but consistency during the harder days is what really matters. Sometimes it’s less about performance and more about refusing to break routine and momentum.

Workout Review

Put up some fairly decent numbers during today’s quad session and honestly couldn’t be happier with how everything felt. The strength was there, the pump was ridiculous, and the whole workout flowed exactly how I wanted it to.

Looking back, it’s pretty wild to see the progress that’s been made. I’ve included some comparison photos from when I tore my bicep back in October last year compared to this week, and the improvement is honestly huge if I do say so myself.

At the time, the injury felt like a massive setback, but seeing the recovery and progress now really puts things into perspective. Proof that consistency, patience, and continuing to show up day after day genuinely pays off.

Still a long way to go, but things are finally starting to move in the right direction.

Final Ramblings

Another day with sky-high motivation and an even bigger hunger to keep progressing and growing. The drive to improve is getting stronger by the day, and right now everything feels fully locked in.

Massive thanks to all the Camp Grino, Raptor Labs, and forum fam for the constant support, encouragement, and motivation along the way. Having people around you pushing for the same goals and backing your progress genuinely makes a huge difference.

Thursday Update

Well… today’s update isn’t exactly a great one. Ended up with the whole family getting absolutely flattened by food poisoning and spending the day stuck at home trying to survive it.

That being said, my refusal to give up on the gym — even while violently firing from both ends — still remained strong. Took enough Gastro-Stop and Hydralyte to put down a bull elephant and somehow still managed to get to work. 🤣

Definitely wasn’t the most glamorous or strongest session I’ve ever had, but honestly, sometimes it’s just about showing up and doing what you can. Not every workout is going to feel amazing, and not every day is going to go to plan, but the consistency mindset is still there regardless.

Safe to say the recovery meal afterwards probably hit harder than the workout itself.

With the aid of my trusty intra carbs and some chocolate coconut water (sorry Coach 🤣), I managed to whip out a fairly quick one-hour back session.

Honestly, considering how the day started and how rough everything felt beforehand, the session actually went really well. Strength definitely wasn’t at its best, which was expected, but the work still got smashed out regardless.

At that point, it wasn’t about chasing crazy numbers or PBs — it was about getting in, staying consistent, and finding a way to push through despite feeling like absolute death beforehand.

Honestly, I probably should’ve rested — but I’m not the type of person who can sit around doing nothing all day when I’m off work.

The session definitely wasn’t perfect and could’ve been better, but at the end of the day, we still got it done. Considering how rough things had been with the food poisoning and feeling run down, just getting in there and putting in the work was still a win in my eyes.

Not every workout is going to be a PB session or feel incredible, but consistency during the harder days is what really matters. Sometimes it’s less about performance and more about refusing to break routine and momentum.

Sunday Update

Finally back at it. Took Friday and Saturday as rest days and honestly spent some quality time with the Mrs and the kids, which was definitely needed after the chaos of the last week or so.

Saturday night, the Mrs and I headed out for a really nice dinner together and ended up having an unreal Chinese banquet that absolutely hit the spot. Good food, good company, and a chance to properly switch off for a bit.

Sometimes the reset days are just as important as the hard training days. Spending time with family, recovering properly, and mentally recharging definitely helped bring the motivation back up even more.

Now it’s time to get back into it and keep pushing forward.

Despite having an insanely long day, I was absolutely locked in on getting this workout done and crushing it. The entire shift, all I could think about was finishing work and getting straight to the gym.

Once I finally got there, it was all systems go… right up until I realised I hadn’t packed any pants. 🤣

At that point, there was no way I was turning around or skipping the session, so the work pants stayed on and we just rolled with it. Honestly, it ended up being an absolutely sensational workout regardless.

Today was another super long Sunday at work as usual. We were down on staff and absolutely flooded with customers all day, so the shift just turned into complete chaos from start to finish.

Didn’t end up walking out until 7pm either… despite close time being 5pm. 😅 Safe to say everyone was well and truly cooked by the end of it.

Even after all of that though, the motivation to train was still sky high. I’m honestly loving the current pre-workout peptide stack at the moment — everything just feels like it’s firing on all cylinders. Energy, pumps, recovery, focus… the whole lot feels completely dialled in right now.

Couldn’t be happier with how things are tracking at the moment. The momentum is building hard and the drive to keep improving is only getting stronger.

That sucks regarding the food poisoning!

You really reckon it's more beneficial to 'show-up' and get in a sub-standard workout though. Personally, I would say you'd be MUCH better off taking the rest and coming back fresh.

Still had a great sesh and I went once I felt better. If I still felt lethargic and shit I would’ve gone for a walk instead.

Today was another super long Sunday at work as usual. We were down on staff and absolutely flooded with customers all day, so the shift just turned into complete chaos from start to finish.

Didn’t end up walking out until 7pm either… despite close time being 5pm. 😅 Safe to say everyone was well and truly cooked by the end of it.

Even after all of that though, the motivation to train was still sky high. I’m honestly loving the current pre-workout peptide stack at the moment — everything just feels like it’s firing on all cylinders. Energy, pumps, recovery, focus… the whole lot feels completely dialled in right now.

Couldn’t be happier with how things are tracking at the moment. The momentum is building hard and the drive to keep improving is only getting stronger.

Monday Update

Another RDO rolled around and, as expected, another solid session got smashed out with the Mrs in tow at the gym.

The energy was great, training felt on point, and it’s always better having her there alongside me. Definitely helps make the whole session more enjoyable while still keeping the intensity high.

Afterwards, spent some time sorting out a few car-related things as well, which topped the day off nicely. Overall, just a genuinely good day — solid training, good company, and a bit of time spent on the car scene too. Hard to complain about that.

Today’s workout went unbelievably well, and honestly, I put a lot of that down to having the Mrs there with me. She’s easily my biggest supporter and cheerleader through all of this.

Whenever she’s around, it genuinely makes me want to push 100% harder. The energy, motivation, and drive just hit differently knowing she’s there backing me the whole way.

Those are the sessions that always seem to bring out the best in me — high energy, locked-in focus, and the extra push to squeeze out every last bit of effort. Couldn’t ask for a better training partner and support system.

Sunday Update

Finally back at it. Took Friday and Saturday as rest days and honestly spent some quality time with the Mrs and the kids, which was definitely needed after the chaos of the last week or so.

Saturday night, the Mrs and I headed out for a really nice dinner together and ended up having an unreal Chinese banquet that absolutely hit the spot. Good food, good company, and a chance to properly switch off for a bit.

Sometimes the reset days are just as important as the hard training days. Spending time with family, recovering properly, and mentally recharging definitely helped bring the motivation back up even more.

Now it’s time to get back into it and keep pushing forward.

Despite having an insanely long day, I was absolutely locked in on getting this workout done and crushing it. The entire shift, all I could think about was finishing work and getting straight to the gym.

Once I finally got there, it was all systems go… right up until I realised I hadn’t packed any pants. 🤣

At that point, there was no way I was turning around or skipping the session, so the work pants stayed on and we just rolled with it. Honestly, it ended up being an absolutely sensational workout regardless.

Energy was high, focus was there, and everything just clicked perfectly once training started. Goes to show that sometimes it doesn’t matter if everything isn’t ideal — if the mindset is locked in, the work still gets done.

The feeder sets really setup the failure sets quite well. I can gauge where I’m at for the day strength and endurance wise with every exercise.

Monday Update

Another RDO rolled around and, as expected, another solid session got smashed out with the Mrs in tow at the gym.

The energy was great, training felt on point, and it’s always better having her there alongside me. Definitely helps make the whole session more enjoyable while still keeping the intensity high.

Afterwards, spent some time sorting out a few car-related things as well, which topped the day off nicely. Overall, just a genuinely good day — solid training, good company, and a bit of time spent on the car scene too. Hard to complain about that.

Wednesday Update

What an absolutely unreal day today turned out to be.

Got the chance to meet someone pretty famous that I’ve watched on TV for years, and honestly, he turned out to be a genuinely great bloke. Always cool when someone you’ve looked up to actually lives up to the image you had in your head.

On top of that, managed to hit bonus at work and then backed it all up with an absolute cracking gym session afterwards. One of those days where everything just seems to fall into place perfectly.

The motivation and momentum right now are through the roof, and it genuinely feels like things are only heading one direction from here.

Workout Review

Today’s workout was absolutely incredible from start to finish.

Decided to throw standing decline machine flys into my decline press superset and holy hell… it did some serious damage. The pump and contraction from that combination were next level and completely lit the chest up. Definitely one of those additions that instantly earns a permanent place in the rotation.

Everything today just felt smooth and completely dialled in. Strength was there, execution felt clean, and every movement seemed to flow perfectly. Sessions like this make it easy to stay hungry and motivated because you can genuinely feel the progress happening in real time.

Workout was absolutely on point today. Everything felt dialled in, strength was there, and the whole session flowed exactly how I wanted it to.

Unfortunately, upper body training is about to take a short break from tomorrow onwards because I’m finally finishing off the rest of my arm sleeve. Safe to say it’s probably going to be absolutely killer. 😅

Looks like it’ll be legs for the rest of the week while everything heals up properly. Not exactly complaining though — more time to keep bringing the lower body up and keep the momentum rolling.

160 is a huge incline :D very nice and pumped
 
It’s not the usual 200kg I would do, but I’ve started doing 3 second eccentric and concentric with pauses at both. It’s so much harder and so much more time under tension.

Workout Review

Today’s workout was absolutely incredible from start to finish.

Decided to throw standing decline machine flys into my decline press superset and holy hell… it did some serious damage. The pump and contraction from that combination were next level and completely lit the chest up. Definitely one of those additions that instantly earns a permanent place in the rotation.

Everything today just felt smooth and completely dialled in. Strength was there, execution felt clean, and every movement seemed to flow perfectly. Sessions like this make it easy to stay hungry and motivated because you can genuinely feel the progress happening in real time.

Another unreal session in the books.

Final Ramblings

Workout was absolutely on point today. Everything felt dialled in, strength was there, and the whole session flowed exactly how I wanted it to.

Unfortunately, upper body training is about to take a short break from tomorrow onwards because I’m finally finishing off the rest of my arm sleeve. Safe to say it’s probably going to be absolutely killer. 😅

Looks like it’ll be legs for the rest of the week while everything heals up properly. Not exactly complaining though — more time to keep bringing the lower body up and keep the momentum rolling.

Monday Update

Today was a much better day overall. Managed to finally get a decent sleep and wake up on my own terms for once — huge thanks to the Mrs for handling the kids and letting me properly recover a bit. It was honestly much needed.

The extra rest definitely showed too, because today’s quad session was absolutely phenomenal to say the least. Energy was high, strength felt great, and everything just clicked perfectly from the first working set onwards.

It’s crazy what even a solid night of sleep and a bit of recovery can do for performance and mindset. Walked out of the gym feeling absolutely wrecked in the best possible way.

Hey mate been following your log, looking great ! Just wondering how you handle 10iu HGH daily, do you get any sides from that high a dose ? And how do you mitigate any sides you get ? Just had to drop the 5iu I was running ED for a week to get rid of pins and needles in my fingers which was affecting my sleep.
Hey Jim,

I’m currently running about 6g of Taurine a day. I was running “chinesium” HGH before Raptor stuff and had similar issues. Once I swapped to Raptor Labs HGH I haven’t had an issue since.

Friday (Last Week) Update

Had a much better session today and finally felt like I’d turned a corner. Whatever was causing me issues recently seems to be mostly behind me now, which was a massive relief.

I’ve just been sticking to the diet, keeping my head down, and grinding through everything the best I can. No shortcuts, no excuses — just doing the work day after day and trusting the process.

Today felt like a reward for that consistency. Energy was better, training felt more productive, and things started to feel normal again. It’s a good reminder that not every week is going to be perfect, but if you keep showing up and ticking the boxes, things eventually start moving in the right direction again.

One step at a time, but definitely a much better day.

Tried out a few new machines in the gym today and safe to say they did not disappoint.

It’s always good to change things up occasionally and find new ways to attack the muscle, and these definitely delivered. The contractions felt great, the movements were smooth, and the pump was absolutely ridiculous by the end of the session.

Rather than me rambling on about it, I’ll just let the pump pics do the talking. 📸💪
