Supplements on vacations

Do you take your supplements with you when you go on vacations? I understand that supplements are necessary to keep us in shape, but seems like a bit of a pain in the ass to take with you all the protein, bcaa and creatine, if not more. So do you on vacations also rest from supplements?

It all depends on what you do on your Vacation.
I'm never far from a Gym, so I take a separate bag with everything I need.

If you don't plan on doing any Training while on Vacation.
Then you don't need any Protein/BCAA's/or Creatine.
But I would make some room for your Vitamin and Mineral Supplement....................... JP

If I travel for a day - I take them (like when I compete in strength events).

If I go and lay on a beach for two weeks - no. I'll lose a few pounds and I'll gain them back in 10-14 days after I get back. No biggy in the great scheme of my 38 years of lifting. Mind you it's been a while since I went on holiday ha ha

Personally, I don't take my supplements with me - on vacations I take a rest from everything, and let the body reset. But this is my personal approach - some people don't think that they need a rest, so they take everything with them.

This is a question with no right or wrong answer. It really depends on your personality.

I personally love weight training and on a vacation, I still train everyday because that's what I enjoy. I pack all my supplements with me when I go on vacation.

Other people like to use the vacation as a break from weight training and taking supplements so they are fresh and rejuvenated when they are back from their trip.

It really depends on your personality and goals.

this is an easy answer for me since I never take vacations. but seriously i am more worried about taking stuff for the stomach, this means charcoal and anti-diarhea pills. when you travel you can easily get sick from the food

For me, when I am away for work or just a trip for 2-3 days I will take them. If I go away for a nice family vacation or just me and the wife for a week or more, I don't take anything. I like to take that time to enjoy myself and not think about anything I normally do.

This is definitely a personal thing. ...for me I eat, train and so everything exactly like I do at home. ..I'm very very controlling and need organization and routine to feel good. ..so this works for me. My husband takes supps and trains lightly while away. ...
