Bit of a background:
Competitive gymnast, recently ruptured my patella tendon in my left knee and and tore my meniscus in my right knee during a competition.

My surgery is scheduled for next week, I’ve read some articles siting the effectiveness of a test e dose starting 1 week before surgery and continuing during rehab for a standard length. The aim being to limit muscle loss and help the rehab process.

I intend to follow the proper rehab process with return to sport 9-12 months after surgery.

Any thoughts on this?

the last thing you need to worry about right now is losing your muscle. i mean listen to yourself bro, are you that insecure that you can't accept losing some muscle to get healthy? once you are back (and you will be back) then you can focus on regaining your muscle. muscle memory is REAL so don't worry

and no test doesn't speed up recovery, it actually slows it down

the only thing that can speed up recovery here is HGH.. juvepharma sells it our sponsor

Will you please cite those articles, maxsteele.

I guess I should have included a question mark.

Using steroids, which often strengthen a muscle over any strengthening of any connective tissue is a bad idea. More so if you're gonna wait for full recovery anyway

HGH would be your best and only viable option. It will absolutely help speed recovery time. It takes at least 3-4 weeks to get your IGF-1 levels up so you will want to start HGH well before your surgery and continue it until your healing is complete.
