I’m 21 years old and have been training since I was 13 with serious training taken on at around 15, I have stayed relatively lean throughout these years to now.
Throughout this 6 years of serious training I have taken no longer than 6 weeks off at any time and with the exception of 2 weeks break between 3-4 month training progressions, mostly for the purpose of recovery of my joints and attitude adjustments. In regards to my training, I’ve always take a wholistic approach, training in the classic golden era style of bodybuilding, 6xDay training (each bodypart twice weekly). My diet is clean with 4-5 meals a day, steak, rice and chicken, veges, and fruits, the staples. I have used a large array of supplements, proteins, aminos, carb powders, arginine and citrullines, taurine, preworkouts, and multivitamins. Moderate AAS use would not make a dent in my financial situation in comparison to the supplements I have, and will continue to use.
To give an idea of my knowledge, inspiration, and encouragement, I have used the perspectives of bodybuilders; Arnold, Ric Drasin, Heath, Dennis James, and more recently Sadik, and Moger.
I have one current minor health concern, if it could be considered that, which I assume has come about in relation to my years of training, with this problem only occuring within the last year.
During my most strenuous training sessions, I tend to feel hot and flushed, often causing my ears to become noticeably red and accompanied by a slight headache. This issue can be somewhat ‘treated’ by a splash of water to the face and standing infront of the gyms fans.
With research, i’ve connected this overheating issue with the assumption that it may be due to either, a case of adrenal fatigue by overtraining, or a lack of sweating which I have noticed to decline since my teen years of training, where I was once ringing out shirts from sessions, to now minimal sweating in comparison. I see that moderate AAS use may help to relieve this issue rather than worsen it, as I assume I would be able to handle greater training intensity.
I did too have acne throughout my teens particular ages 16-18, which I treated with a 6 month course of accutane at 40mg. I assume that if I use AAS my acne may reoccur, hopefully It would not as bad.
My area of study in university is health promotion and I do not plan to jeopardise my career by taking the path of aas. However, I plan it’s use to improve areas of my life. I have taken this uni course to supplement my forever passion for bodybuilding and health, and as this is my final year of university, I have always planned to use AAS upon the completion of my study, as a beginning to the completion of this milestone.
The decision to take AAS is currently geared towards improved recovery and increasing intensity of training. My ultimate goal is to grow and continue to put on size as I have throughout the years of training. My reason for use of AAS is not to be larger than I ever have been, to impress anyone, or to fuel ego. This decision would be more to keep up with my previously used and desired intensity in training, although, lifting heavier and for longer would be and has always been ideal. I would like to also note that my training performance has not declined as it would be assumed at 21 to be at it’s best. Although, my joints are sometimes making awkward sounds outside of the gym that don’t make me inclined to go as hard at times in my sessions, and I can admit with confidence that it is not my current lifting form or techniques that cause this issue, maybe the early years of newb training though. I assume that with the use of moderate AAS, I may be able to prevent further joint problems, with my weight training, from occuring or continuing to worsen.
My larger contributing perspective is that currently my part time work in labour is strenuous and involves large amounts of lifting, with some work shifts taking more effort than my average gym session, I see that AAS would ensure I crush my gym sessions, alongside my efforts at work.
I have written this post as I have done my research and I have been recently been introduced to sources. I would like to hear some opinions on my circumstance, whether some think it would be okay to start now, with my years of experience, or better to wait longer. At this point, I can wait, however, I will definitly use AAS to support my goals if not now, eventually.
My first 16 week cycle would be;
Test E 250mg, 500mg a week - 12 weeks
Nolva 20mg ED - Weeks 14-16
My current stats;
Age: 21
Height: 5’5”
BF: 10-15%
I have intentionally not included pictures in this post, as I would like unbiased opinions, in relation to my circumstance. However, I can say with confidence, that I am relatively close to my genetic potential.
