Ex competitive body builder out of the circuit for about 8 years, tore my entire bicep 2 years ago and had a unsuccessful surgery, went on prescription TRT for 2 years ( 112.5mg a week)

Did a little mini cut to prime my body for growth and fix my insulin sensitivity in the last 90 days to get ready for my first “growth” cycle and phase in about 6 years.

Currently sitting at about 230lb, 35 years old. Going to see what kind of size I can put on slowly over the next 16-20 weeks.

Cycle ( weekly)
750mg test (e)
500mg eq
400 mg Masteron (e)

Daily 40mg Anavar ( pre work out)
5mg Cialis ( morning )
4iu HGH ( 2 morning 2 bed )

Diet is going to be 3500 calories a day ( slowly tapering hopefully to about 4500 by the end of 16 weeks) of about 260 grams protein 425 grams carbs ( majorly pre and post work out ) and the rest from fat ( about 25% less carbs on non training days )

Doing 20 minutes cardio every morning fasted ( to kick start my metabolism as well as prime for insulin sensitivity and just sets my mind )

3 days on weights 1 off, repeat with a varied “ push pull legs “ differing each cycle 1 shoulder dominant push one chest and one ham and one quad dominated legs on 3on 1 off 3 on rotation. Focusing on a lot of simple compound exercises ( of of smith machine and hammer strength ) to keep injury down especially with my bicep injury.

Hoping to gain probably .75-1.25lb a week so roughly 13-20 lb ish after 16 weeks, with hopefully very little body fat.

See how this goes for me and if I can pull it together may try and do one last masters body building show even with the torn bicep just for me and for fun.

have you done bloods on your eq/masteron? because that might tank e2 a lot

Training, please share actual exercises reps sets and weights, as you go especially get stronger
cardio how much do you do? when etc

You're a big guy, Alberta farm boy? Way to rep for us Canadians.

Excited to see how the cycle goes. I plan to run the same cycle in the beginning of May. All stocked up and ready to go. I'll be run into lower doses cuz I'm not as big as you.

Have you run this cycle before successfully? A few other members have mentioned test/EQ/mast being their favourite cycle for lean gains.

hello buddy! Yes good had a few Canadian boys here!!

Yes I’ve run this cycle before with great results , this is about the maximum I would run this in amounts gonna see what I can do!!

And yes like mentioned before the only down fall is get your bloods done it can crash your E2 however I normally have a lot of estrogen sides on cycle so this one actually suits me well!

Also people may not like this approach but if my blood shows my e2 really low I actually swap out the anavar pre work out to a little dbol pre work out ( for the estrogen effects ) legit the only time I’d ever use dbol, more of a safe guard .

This is definitely a slow a steady cycle tho and I’ll monitor the levels of the 3 compounds and adjust them for any sides, you can play with the test and Masteron and raise one and lower the other depending

Everyone reacts to compounds different and AIs KILL my sex drive and gains so I try and run compounds that I need no AI with and if my bloods are a little off I adjust !!

I’ll keep you updated! Week to week I’m starting this week

Thanks brother !! I will update the diet / training in more detail as I figure out how I’m gonna react to every thing ( what foods digest well, what’s working around training etc )

I normally start with some base macros and then adjust based on how my body is feeling for food sources / timing,

As for the e2 like I said in previous reply I react to this cycle very well as I normally covert a lot of estrogen on any test higher than 500, why I use the mast, then I can bring one or the other up or down to combat any sides

As like people will hate the idea of it but if my e2 gets super low I will sup out a small dbol pre work out instead of anavar for the estrogen effect !

As for regular supplements

I super dose creatine 30g a day, 15g glutamine, k2 and d3, ubiquol , high dose vitamin c, milk thistle , glucothione , omegas 3s, green supplement ( as many digestion suffers with to many real greens ) and im also using VITA HD, Kidney HD and Liver HD from HD , great Canadian supplement company

My cardio is just 20 mins incline walk fasted in the morning , I’ll put that up or down depending how the weight gain and hunger is going, appetite is normally no issue on EQ

And as for the work outs then selves they are all in the 7-10 rep range, each exercise having 2 actually working sets where I’m looking to “ go to failure” but a controlled failure, focusing more on weekly frequency than each session volume.

I will adjust after this first week a lot of this depending how I’m feeling and set into a permanent diet and routine and will update then next week and every week aftwr

@JuiceyBrucey007 this is a great one right here. I like the testosterone and equipoise with the masteron. That's a good mix.

I aromatize decently too so I'm curious to see how the EQ will work for me. Should help me get my test dose up.

Us Aussies, it's common for us to use compounds to regulate Hormones. Much better if you get bloodwork. And the ratios right. Far better and healthier than using AI in my opinion.

Ex competitive body builder out of the circuit for about 8 years, tore my entire bicep 2 years ago and had a unsuccessful surgery, went on prescription TRT for 2 years ( 112.5mg a week)

Did a little mini cut to prime my body for growth and fix my insulin sensitivity in the last 90 days to get ready for my first “growth” cycle and phase in about 6 years.

Currently sitting at about 230lb, 35 years old. Going to see what kind of size I can put on slowly over the next 16-20 weeks.

Cycle ( weekly)
750mg test (e)
500mg eq
400 mg Masteron (e)

Daily 40mg Anavar ( pre work out)
5mg Cialis ( morning )
4iu HGH ( 2 morning 2 bed )

Diet is going to be 3500 calories a day ( slowly tapering hopefully to about 4500 by the end of 16 weeks) of about 260 grams protein 425 grams carbs ( majorly pre and post work out ) and the rest from fat ( about 25% less carbs on non training days )

Doing 20 minutes cardio every morning fasted ( to kick start my metabolism as well as prime for insulin sensitivity and just sets my mind )

3 days on weights 1 off, repeat with a varied “ push pull legs “ differing each cycle 1 shoulder dominant push one chest and one ham and one quad dominated legs on 3on 1 off 3 on rotation. Focusing on a lot of simple compound exercises ( of of smith machine and hammer strength ) to keep injury down especially with my bicep injury.

Hoping to gain probably .75-1.25lb a week so roughly 13-20 lb ish after 16 weeks, with hopefully very little body fat.

See how this goes for me and if I can pull it together may try and do one last masters body building show even with the torn bicep just for me and for fun.

@JuiceyBrucey007 Bros, that's some major league protein right there. I like the way you're hitting the calories somewhere around 3,500 to 4,000. That's very good. I like the cardio every morning fasted. That's a great way to start the day.

That with about 10g of citrulline and 10g glycine, with 25g cluster dextrin and some sea salt best pumps you’ll ever have I don’t mess with any stimulants pre work out !!

Yea I’m big on protein intake ! Not every one’s cup of tea but I’m a little old school like that ! Plus I find it helps be stay full all day! Don’t like hunger getting to much ! With 50% of my carbs pre intra and post work out I like the higher protein! To high carbs throughout the day make my blood sugar go wonky and tired at work!!

Best pre work out IMO the Anavar and Cialis! Only 3 in on cycle so only feel the pumps and placebo so far 😂
 
Started cycle on Saturday! So I’m only about 4 days on cycle right now!

Im actually down 1.5lb but this regularly happens to me when I initially go very structured meal plans and cardio and all clean food ( drop in water for sure)

So I’m 228.5lb fresh out of bed! This is after cardio & a tan, so the pumps are very noticeable all day with any activity ( from the Anavar and Cialis )

Energy levels are great and feeling motivated on gym ( placebo lol )

The appetite still really needs to catch up not really hungry at all in this point !

If all goes well I think I could see a 240-245 end goal with minimal body fat be a reasonable expectation after 16weeks!

More detailed update and log coming at week 1

may play around with my hgh timing and try it all in morning and all in pre bed for a few days see what makes me feel better and how I react to it blood sugar wise ( pre bed some times makes me wake up hungry at night )

Us Aussies, it's common for us to use compounds to regulate Hormones. Much better if you get bloodwork. And the ratios right. Far better and healthier than using AI in my opinion.
Exactly I really like the approach and knowing how your body respond compared to others! And you can always do some thing but realize it may not work for every one else !!

But getting bloods is the most important so you actually know what’s going on!!

These just happen to be compounds I handle well

Everyone reacts to compounds different and AIs KILL my sex drive and gains so I try and run compounds that I need no AI with and if my bloods are a little off I adjust !!
I was worried a bit with the high EQ/Mast and your e2 but this makes sense.
I super dose creatine 30g a day

My cardio is just 20 mins incline walk fasted in the morning
Same again... 20 mins hard is a nice sweat and get's it done.

We've at least 3 if not 4 athletes at my local gym with bicep tears
It’s so shit and I had the surgery very quickly ! And it was a full detachment so when they did the surgery the muscle was still too strong for the damaged ligaments so it tore in surgery again! So I’ve never had it fully repaired again going in half arm lol

Big fan of Todd Lee MD on Instagram if you guys are familiar with him out of the US if not follow him he’s a very juice forward doctor and body builder plan on paying for him to look over my blood work on 6-12-18 weeks and make adjustments to my cycle.

Even if you just follow him it’s a wealth of knowledge

If I can keep my hunger under control I’ll probably add some more cardio in as well just for the health benefits !

Can we see a pic of where the tear is and if it's noticeable?

It's ironic that I probably use more on Hammer Dumbbell than almost anyone (I've seen 2-3 use more ever) at 90kg/198lbs. One arm at a time and my best was 14 reps. This is NOT a strict lift at that level. I've NEVER (to date ha ha) had ANY bicep issues. Even minor strains.

Yet MANY of my strongman buddies, competing all the way to WSM level HAVE had bicep tears and surgery. Usually where their arms are extended and under strain (so Atlas stones). You'll have seen powerlifters biceps 'pop' when they've oh so slightly bent their arms under a LOT of weight.

No1 rehab (and you MUST do it a LOT) is literally starting with the bar. I've seen Terry Holland do the 20kg bar x 100 reps. Ditto former training buddy Laurence Shahlaei.

On the surgery - here in the UK if you can bend your arm you have function so they will NOT always operate. Key is to get off ass and go to another hospital and do so until you find one that will. Ideally, at worst, within 72 hours of the injury. Longer allows for shrinking of the tendon. You MUST rest it after. It can be harder as a bodybuilder to get it repaired to how it looked before.

Oh ya it’s super noticeable!! Mostly only in FDB but it’s legit half gone lol some of these pictures are a few months old so it has filled out a bit but as you can tell missing the lower half towards the forearm !

Also picture two days after the tear for wow factor hahaha

Only in recent years have peptides which help become available. Here I'd suggest it MIGHT help post surgery but will NOT repair a tear as such

I had my bicep tendon repaired. My bicep ended up st my shoulder. Took me 6 months to get back to full training

One more thing (works better with a lesser injury). Hammer curls help (as does reverse curls) thicken the brachial muscle. Which lies between the bi and tri where it's on the upper arm. It also fixes into the forearm (see Phil Heath's arm)

Yea same here in Canada as the UK as you can see from the pictures I shared there is no healing it now or fixing it , with out another surgery which at my age in reluctant to do, had a lot of nerve damage and recovery even from the botched surgery ! I have about 70% strength back in that arm nd 80% function and mobility even with half the arm missing ( focus on a lot of bracialis and hammer work now ) so I’ll probably leave it as the recovery time would be brutual
Plus if I ever compete again it will be as a masters competition and just for my own pride and to say I did it so I don’t care about it throwing off my symmetry

3 days on weights 1 off, repeat with a varied “ push pull legs “ differing each cycle 1 shoulder dominant push one chest and one ham and one quad dominated legs on 3on 1 off 3 on rotation. Focusing on a lot of simple compound exercises ( of of smith machine and hammer strength ) to keep injury down especially with my bicep injury.

Hoping to gain probably .75-1.25lb a week so roughly 13-20 lb ish after 16 weeks, with hopefully very little body fat.

See how this goes for me and if I can pull it together may try and do one last masters body building show even with the torn bicep just for me and for fun.

Ex competitive body builder out of the circuit for about 8 years, tore my entire bicep 2 years ago and had a unsuccessful surgery, went on prescription TRT for 2 years ( 112.5mg a week)

Did a little mini cut to prime my body for growth and fix my insulin sensitivity in the last 90 days to get ready for my first “growth” cycle and phase in about 6 years.

Currently sitting at about 230lb, 35 years old. Going to see what kind of size I can put on slowly over the next 16-20 weeks.

Cycle ( weekly)
750mg test (e)
500mg eq
400 mg Masteron (e)

Daily 40mg Anavar ( pre work out)
5mg Cialis ( morning )
4iu HGH ( 2 morning 2 bed )

Diet is going to be 3500 calories a day ( slowly tapering hopefully to about 4500 by the end of 16 weeks) of about 260 grams protein 425 grams carbs ( majorly pre and post work out ) and the rest from fat ( about 25% less carbs on non training days )

Doing 20 minutes cardio every morning fasted ( to kick start my metabolism as well as prime for insulin sensitivity and just sets my mind )

Hey mate, welcome to Evo. Nice start to your log. You look like a beast! Love the rear lat spread!

Would be keen to see your typical workouts and any comments you have on splits you've used and what you prefer in that regard.
 
Week 1 of the cycle down just about today.

Actually down about 1.25lb

But this frequently happens to me once I start firing on all cylinders and structure and back to clean floods I flush alot of fluid and tighten up and fill out

So sitting slightly under 230lb depending on time of day

Debating going up to 50mg of anavar or work out next week see how I feel

Next week I’m also gonna switch to 4iu in the morning hgh not at bed time untill I ramp the food and intake up so I’m not so hungry mid night

Push day I did a PR of 225lb standing over head bar bell press for 6 reps x 2 sets.

This is a new exercise I’ve incorporated a few months back it isn’t for every one but I think for packing on THICK size it’s a staple for me need to be good and strong to do this at heavy weight and stable.

Also doing front squats instead of back squats and enjoying them topping out at about 315 x 7 x2 as well

And on the pulls days I’m really focusing more on full ROM really letting the stretch portion go deep and then training for feel more in back to keep the biceps and rear delts out of it as I’m very dominant, only doing 275 x 2 x 8 on a good controlled bent over row.

That’s really my favorite way to train , smaller shorter work outs with 3-4 ish exercises per body part with 2 real WORKING top sets of 6-8 reps then no drop sets of junk volume

Onto the next exercise

Prioritizing weekly volume and frequency over daily volume over load

My diet is very set now with about 3 shake of 40g protein

So 120g from shakes and 140-150g from food sources ( chicken, whites, ground beef , eggs)

I’m gonna try switch to more Whole Foods and 1 less shake as my stomach adjusts to the volume of food

Only carbs I’m using are , oats, cream of rice, basmati rice , sour dough bread and a little fruit and a HCBD instra work out .

Body seems to be ticking along right now I want it too

Only real notice is the pumps as fullness , drying out as I push out some fluid

Ok so 270g protein this is good. Do you think you could structure your log posts with totals and/or macro breakdowns making it easier to find what your intake is etc. If you wanna take a look at my 2026 log you'll see how it makes it a bit easier to take a glance and get all the info at once.

Yes I plan on after this week putting a full log of my meals, timing, food macros once I get it finished this week working out the tweaks

And yes frig im starting think the anavar isn’t great quality , I know the cialis is giving me the pumps and my cialis is prescription so I know the good, the anavar im not seeing what I want from it probably gonna order new stuff tbh

And yes I remember that scene lol
a bad ass movement of your joints can’t handle it !

And %100 I do my cardio in morning so the weights I’m in and out the door 1 hour max, I think any longer than that either to much volume or breaks , one or the other if your really TRAINING no way your working effective high out put working sets for more than a hour!!
