Cycle input needed

First off, I greatly appreciate all of the info here, you all seem to be genuinely concerned with offering real information and trying to keep people safe...

I have ordered test Enth, Proviron, Nolvadex, arimadex, and Anavar. I plan to run my test at around 300-350mg weekly, Anavar at 40 mg for the first 4 weeks, and then pivot to Proviron for 4 more weeks.

I had planned for a 8 week cycle. My goal is to add around 5-6 pounds of lean muscle while cutting a bit. Should this be ran for 12?

I am 45, and have been in the gym religiously for 25 years. I am 5 foot 10 at 160 pounds. I am unsure of my body fat percentage but it's fairly low.

I eat around 2800-3000 calories a day, and I eat very clean for the most part. I have never really dialed in my macros. My metabolism is pretty fast still , and I work a physical job as well.

I work out 4 days a week. Chest and shoulders, arms, day off, back, legs

With me doing core work 3 days out of those 4.

I would love to hear people's general thoughts and opinions. I have done two small cycles more then a decade ago and my body reacted very well.

Sustanon 250mg, D-bol 15mg a day, for 8 weeks, put on 7 lbs.

My second cycle was a kit of high (100iu) 500mg of enanthate, and 200mg of eq. I added 10 lbs in 8 weeks and lost belly fat.

I felt no sides for the first cycle, but the second week 6 I bloated up pretty good. No gyno signs, just alot more water retention.

I want to keep the bloat to a minimum, and I am ok with slow and steady gains...

Figured a few pics would help with responses. Face is obvious but I also covered my ink, as my tats are very unique.

One side note is I feel my chest size isn't being picked up well, it has more projection the the lighting suggests.

This looks like a good starting plan but we’ll need a bit more info before locking it in, especially around your exact training volume and how your recovery looks midweek. At your size and experience level, 300 to 350mg of test is reasonable, but whether you go 8 or 12 weeks depends on how your body holds water and how your e2 tracks during the run. I would not go under 12 imo.
The Proviron after Anavar makes sense, though bloodwork mid-cycle would help gauge if adjustments are needed.

Your background shows a solid foundation and your diet seems clean, but you’ll get more out of this if you start tracking macros closely, especially with a fast metabolism and physical job. The split looks fine, though we’ll fine-tune based on how you respond once the gear starts working. We have other EVO brothers with hard jobs like @BeMe @toddthelineman very active!

You already have a strong base here, so start a proper log to track weight, strength, pumps, appetite, and water levels each week. That’ll make it easier to tweak AI use, diet, and training as you go. Post your updates regularly so we can guide you through any shifts in energy, strength, or sides along the way. That will allow the log to grow and you to get the best results! You dont need to wait for gear to start, start it now about 10min of your time.

HOW-TO LOG?

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.
To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight,height,age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.

I have no issues with that. I am assuming this has something to do with saturation levels?
Just from experience seeing my wife and I getting good gains all the way til the end for
every cycle we've done. Nothing sucks more than leaving gains on the table. I almost feel like keeping my cycle open ended and if the gains are still there on week 16 to maybe go 20 weeks.

Appreciate the perspective. If your growing like a weed and the sides are tolerable, then why stop short...

I feel like my first cycle was cut way too short. And choosing sustanon was not the right choice for what I wanted for gains. .

@CUTUP I'm surprised, you're only 160 lbs, especially at your height. I would have thought you were a carrot. But you've got some good muscle on your frame. I guess you just have some small bone structure.

You hit the nail on the head with that comment brother. I always get guessed at greater then my weight by a decent margin.

I was always very small when I was younger, I was eating 5000 calories a day once I hit 20 just to try to put on a few pounds. So I started with a very small frame on a very small bone structure.

Mind you those were dirty calories, I would eat whatever I got my hands on to try and grow. I eat much better now.

I will get that journal done for tomorrow to give a clearer picture.

Definitely get a log going. and also consider swapping out sustanon for something like test E

That basic sust cycle I did like 20 years ago, and I shorted my gains because of it.

I shouldn't have used it, and if I did I should have front loaded and did the math to keep my levels constant.

I will be using enanthate on this one. Almost went with Prop to better control my levels, but pining every two days is a literal pain in the ass.

My delts would be the next victims
 
@CUTUP welcome to the EVO fam bro. Happy to see you jumping right into starting a log. Your off to a great start. Logging will help a lot with improving your gains and keeping you safe.

So you're basically new to running test E? You'll definitely need to get some bloodwork to see how your body is responding. Aromasin would be a lot better than arimidex for your ai, but hopefully you won't need it at 300mgs. The bloodwork will let you know what you need.

Be sure to post up your training and diet because that's a huge part of logging and the keys to your success on cycle.

Happy to have you onboard and I'll be following along.

yeah i weigh way less then people think too. at my max i was up to 196 pounds at 5'6''. but if you see a pic of me i looked huge. the scale is very misleading . it sucks worse with women. a chick can be 115 pounds and look fat just cause her body structure but another women can be 160 pounds and look skinny

I am going to extend the cycle length, the consensus here seems to be 12 weeks minimum. You feel the Var would be good for 2 months and just not use the Proviron?

Or keep the Proviron in cycle for the last month? My concern was liver toxicity for such a long period.

Yeah, I have known some. I find the shape of your muscle bellies and the connections between them (like bicep to forearm ) make a difference as well

Unfortunately that's just genetics...

4 days a week is solid. your splits are pretty good @CUTUP don't over do it on the shoulders on that split day though

if you want to avoid bloat then avoid steroids that bloat. stay away from dbol and moderate/high test

bros go with things like primo, winstrol, eq, etc. even anavar is good
 
if you want to avoid bloat then avoid steroids that bloat. stay away from dbol and moderate/high test
I would always use test as a base, just not a crazy amount.

I feel like that and the Anavar with a proper diet and input from you all will get me where I need to go.

I feel like looking for 6 pounds or so of solid gains is reasonable if I do my part

This cycle is more tailored to where you're at and is the low and slow way to do it. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Took me 3 years to transform my body.

Will do, I am going to get a detailed log going.

And based on all the input I will stretch this out to 12 weeks.
300mg Enth a week
40 mg Anavar daily for the first month split into two doses (possibly for 2 months and Proviron for the last month) or
25 mg Proviron daily for the last two months
Aromasin EOD starting at month 2

Good move with the aromasin, it will be easier for you to use.

I'd consider going 16 weeks on such a low dose, but let the bloodwork decide that for you.

I doubt you'll see much liver toxicity from the Proviron. I had bloodwork done recently post cycle running only test, GH, and Proviron and my liver values all looked good.

I can up the test, do you feel the dose is too low based on my goals ?
I am a slow and steady and work my ass off kind of guy, so I don't mind taking longer to grow. Or having to do another cycle much later on.
But if I will see greatly reduced benefits, I can up it a bit. I do have the extra test coming to do so.

No no definitely not recommending that. Low and slow is my motto as well. Plenty of time to run cycles so why rush is my thinking as well. Slowly titrate up and get blood testing done so you actually know what's happening in your body.

Didn't change much with my training, diet, or supps because I already had that stuff dialed in. Pre TRT my free test was 220, so getting to 900 changed everything quick. Everyone is different though so you need to test and adjust according to what's happening in your body.

Definitely. I aim for 400g+ plus on cycle. Now I'm cruising and aiming for 350 a day, but I go up and down all the time. The other day I almost hit 500, so yesterday I only hit 320.

I found the trick is just add a little more protein to each meal progressively. Your appetite will go up as you increase your dosing and eating won't be a problem.
 
Definitely. I aim for 400g+ plus on cycle. Now I'm cruising and aiming for 350 a day, but I go up and down all the time. The other day I almost hit 500, so yesterday I only hit 320.

I found the trick is just add a little more protein to each meal progressively. Your appetite will go up as you increase your dosing and eating won't be a problem.

Sounds like you're someone who'll need to becareful about eating too much vs not enough. Don't wanna get fat lol. Keep protein high and fat low.

I'm big on good fats. Eggs, almonds, fish, ect.

I don't eat anything processed, and mostly have fish, and chicken. Sometimes lean pork or the odd steak..

I hear you though, it's a tight rope to walk

I have ordered test Enth, Proviron, Nolvadex, arimadex, and Anavar. I plan to run my test at around 300-350mg weekly, Anavar at 40 mg for the first 4 weeks, and then pivot to Proviron for 4 more weeks.

I had planned for a 8 week cycle. My goal is to add around 5-6 pounds of lean muscle while cutting a bit. Should this be ran for 12?

I am 45, and have been in the gym religiously for 25 years. I am 5 foot 10 at 160 pounds. I am unsure of my body fat percentage but it's fairly low.

I eat around 2800-3000 calories a day, and I eat very clean for the most part. I have never really dialed in my macros. My metabolism is pretty fast still , and I work a physical job as well.

I work out 4 days a week. Chest and shoulders, arms, day off, back, legs

With me doing core work 3 days out of those 4.

I would love to hear people's general thoughts and opinions. I have done two small cycles more then a decade ago and my body reacted very well.

Sustanon 250mg, D-bol 15mg a day, for 8 weeks, put on 7 lbs.

My second cycle was a kit of high (100iu) 500mg of enanthate, and 200mg of eq. I added 10 lbs in 8 weeks and lost belly fat.

I felt no sides for the first cycle, but the second week 6 I bloated up pretty good. No gyno signs, just alot more water retention.

I want to keep the bloat to a minimum, and I am ok with slow and steady gains...
Id aim more for 12 weeks 16 at maximum

I am a slow and steady and work my ass off kind of guy, so I don't mind taking longer to grow. Or having to do another cycle much later on.
But if I will see greatly reduced benefits, I can up it a bit. I do have the extra test coming to do so.
Definitely don't up the test that's plenty and instead run it longer and up the protein instead. I'm a lunatic mind you but when I gained 22lbs on my 16-week blast cycle I had protein above 600g every day.

I am going to be gunning for close 400 grams at 160 pounds. Three shakes to help with 150 grams and try to make up as much as I can with food for the rest

400 should do it. And yes my highest day was over 800g. I ran a carnivore type diet with a 2:1 ratio of protein to fat with almost zero carb. My gut biome can't handle carbs and I bloat up bad and can put on fluffy mass super easy so I need to eat really clean and avoid carbs. I'm reintroducing them recently and slowly though.

If you check my log under "Supplements" and the digestive aids that were suggested to me on here I had zero bloat from my diet and zero gas as well.

I use quercetin with bromelain, turmeric and curcumin, probiotics and my morning shake has greens and acai berry. Helped my gut immensely.

Just in case you're not sure what each one means here are some that helped the most was:

-DigestGold (you can get off Amazon - highly recommended here)
-Psyllium husk (15g before each meal)
-Apple Cider vinegar with mother (before meal)

I am changing this to a minimum of 12 weeks based on the feedback I have gotten

I would argue you could run anavar forever LOL. Along with TRT and proviron.

I'm a fan of Proviron when stacked, have had great results and the feeling and look did make a noticeable difference to me.

I think Proviron gets $hit on, but many don't use it in the way I feel it is most effective.

Proviron gets shit on my meatheads who think it's "weak" but it's not even really a steroid so much as it is a good drug to lower SHBG and increase your free testosterone and let what your running on cycle do it's job even better.
 
What size dosage? How big were the tabs?

I think two months at 40mg for me sounds right. Followed by Proviron for the last month
I started anavar at 20 and got horrible pumps and cramps randomly throughout my work day. I stayed with it and eventually the pumps went away. Once that happened it was like my body acclimated to Anavar and I upped the dose to 30. Final couple weeks I went up to 40.

Given the half life of Anavar, I am hoping that splitting up my 40mg into two doses will help.

I drink tonnes of water, I hope that will help with any cramps I may get (if I get any) along with my zma at night. Extra magnesium had always helped me.

With orals I always split dosing throughout the day. None of them have a long enough half life that it wouldn't benefit you to split it up.

That's just my two cents.

This looks like a good starting plan but we’ll need a bit more info before locking it in, especially around your exact training volume and how your recovery looks midweek. At your size and experience level, 300 to 350mg of test is reasonable, but whether you go 8 or 12 weeks depends on how your body holds water and how your e2 tracks during the run. I would not go under 12 imo.
The Proviron after Anavar makes sense, though bloodwork mid-cycle would help gauge if adjustments are needed.

Your background shows a solid foundation and your diet seems clean, but you’ll get more out of this if you start tracking macros closely, especially with a fast metabolism and physical job. The split looks fine, though we’ll fine-tune based on how you respond once the gear starts working. We have other EVO brothers with hard jobs like @BeMe @toddthelineman very active!

You already have a strong base here, so start a proper log to track weight, strength, pumps, appetite, and water levels each week. That’ll make it easier to tweak AI use, diet, and training as you go. Post your updates regularly so we can guide you through any shifts in energy, strength, or sides along the way. That will allow the log to grow and you to get the best results! You dont need to wait for gear to start, start it now about 10min of your time.

HOW-TO LOG?

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.
To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight,height,age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.

That basic sust cycle I did like 20 years ago, and I shorted my gains because of it.

I shouldn't have used it, and if I did I should have front loaded and did the math to keep my levels constant.

I will be using enanthate on this one. Almost went with Prop to better control my levels, but pining every two days is a literal pain in the ass.

My delts would be the next victims

I would always use test as a base, just not a crazy amount.

I feel like that and the Anavar with a proper diet and input from you all will get me where I need to go.

I feel like looking for 6 pounds or so of solid gains is reasonable if I do my part
If that works for you then great, but some people will bloat on any amount of testosterone.

well your shoulders aren't made to be overtrained. they will tear.

Agreed. And @CUTUP if you start your log we can take a look at your training and let you know if you're overtraining, especially your shoulders.
 
Figured a few pics would help with responses. Face is obvious but I also covered my ink, as my tats are very unique.

One side note is I feel my chest size isn't being picked up well, it has more projection the the lighting suggests.
