Does whey isolate still have lactose?

My stomach has been really bothering me from drinking whey protein so someone told me to go get whey isolate instead. So I went and got it and it was more expensive and I started drinking. But my stomach issues are still there. From what I've gathered isolate is not supposed to have any lactose so why do I still have stomach issues

Whey isolate should not have fructose in it, but lactose is in all milk-based proteins. If you have stomach issues with isolate, try veggie proteins like pea protein.

You're allergic to milk and or flavorings and colorings

Take veggie proteins and your issue should be fixed

Try to get your protein from real food. Protein powders are hard to digest anyways

It should not at all, the protein is isolated at that point.

You may have issues breaking down the protein. This is more common than some believe. Do some research as to what to take or
Powders with added protease.
