I am 32 years old and 6 foot and 210, i was 280 before and lost all that weight so started using steroids. right now I went on sustanon at 500mg total a week split dosage. I think i may have cut my calories too low, i was doing 2000 a day with a cheat day once a week. I stopped cardio and raised my calories to over 3000. I'm only gaining 3 pounds a week so far, did i screw myself?
 
3lbs a week is a ton of weight and likely mostly water weight. If you end the entire cycle and gain 3lbs of actual clean muscle you did a pretty good job. The last thing you want to do is end up fat after a cycle. Are you using an AI and what are your PCT plans?

Absolutely! 3lbs of actual dry muscle is a very solid noticeable gain in 8-10 weeks. 30 lbs of water weight is just going to make you feel bulky as hell and it will mess with your head if you lose all of it when you come off , or if you hold onto it and it turns to fat. What does your diet look like? Where are you getting the calories? I have a high metabolism and I have to make an effort to maintain my bodyweight. The only time I put on weight fast unintentionally is when I dont take an AI so like all the other things Masonic BB said, check that.
 
moving your calories around like we are robots works only in the short term.

example you gained 3 pounds of mass (not all good muscle i can guarantee you), but do you think you will gain 3 pounds the same forever? of course not.
 
3 lbs of weight in a week is a lot. Sounds like way too much to me. Water weight can fo that the first week or two, but if you keep gaining 3 lbs a week your calories are way too high and your just gaining fat. The one thing fir certain is that weight isnt muscle
