Gear sent to the wrong address

This package showed up on his doorstep from the postal office.
I told him I’d be happy to take it off his hands.
Does it look legit? Can anyone tell where it came from?

I’d also like to add, if it was addressed to someone else but arrived at his door, and he opened it, and the owner of the package or the Post Office comes back for it, you and your pal will be in a heap of trouble. It’s a federal crime to take/open mail not addressed to you.
