has anyone tried this?

how much did you pay?

I tried it for the first time a couple weeks back and i'm already losing patches on my chest and stomach ... every 6 weeks I am going to go in

I pay $45 per treatment which is a bargain.

Sweet, how long do u think til treatment can cease or have more than 6 weeks in between visits. Seems like a good price to me.

The Green Machine

Casca

That's what I was paying for a few waxes, which are far too much of a pain (literally) in the ass to continue. I just use clippers now but have thought about laser removal, for my chest specifically. Did they say how long until permanent results take place?

depends guys on your skin tone, if you stay out of the sun, how thick your hair is

she is guessing its going to take atleast 8-10 treatments for me total. hair grows in 'cycles' so lets say she zaps 90% of the hair each treatment then when the new cycle of hair comes back after 6 weeks she zaps another 90% and so on.. that's how it works. over time there isn't going to be any new cycles that exists.

but right now I am patchy so its working .. just make sure you find someone who is good

I plan on doing my back next if this works well

Makes sense. Is this a specialty clinic, or are you going to a salon that offers this treatment?

^^^ just some lady who has her own little place... she does facials and that sort of thing too

that machine i'm guessing costs a couple hundred G's that she uses.. she probably leases it and then has a decent clientale

a buddy of mine is a bigtime lifter and he is half Italian and he has been on 5 treatments and right now he has only a couple patches of hair left on his chest... I never believed it would work but if it worked well on him I figured I would try it

Does she do facials after the facial?

Happy endings?

Yeah, I would like to get my Back done.
I'm Tired of Trying to Dislocate my Shoulders to Shave............................. JP
P.S.
I found a Really Good Razor to Shave the Body.
The "Gillette Body Razor", it has 3 Blades and 3 Lubricating Strips, Lasts Long, and does an Excellent job on the Delicate areas to.

you are lucky you can use a razor on your body

not all of us can without getting horrible ingrown hairs.

for my back I got a back trimmer from target.. its about 45 bucks and works great so you can reach it.

I'd love to get my chest and stomach done. I could probably use some anal bleaching too but I think I'll make the wife do that

What machine is she using? Is it the LightSheer Duet? Does it have two heads? Look like this?

LSD2014.jpg

The larger head and spot size will mean fewer "zaps" with better coverage and the heat will be lower due to the vacuum assist. It's the best machine on the market now. http://www.aesthetic.lumenis.com/lightsheerduet

I would only go to a provider who uses this machine. What does the $45 cover? Is that the entire back? So you pay $45 again for chest? and $45 for each leg I assume? Or is it more for larger areas? Most charge more than that for large areas I believe. But maybe in your market it's less.

That larger head will only work on larger areas. If you are doing toes and fingers the smaller hear will have to be used and that sucker is painful! The larger head can be used without any numbing gel or ice pack pretreatment to the area.

After about 6-8 treatments (depending on how hairy you are - so maybe 10 for you steve) ;) you should have about 80-85% of the hair gone. The true tell is how much hair is coming back a year++ after treatments are done. The dark hairs will be almost entirely gone. You will have lighter hairs left (blonde or gray), that you might not even know you had. But it will be much thinner and less noticeable and embarrassing.

You can treat the lighter hairs by getting a "double pulse" treatment. This is when the nurse will zap you twice with the larger head instead of once. It can be painful, especially if you are doing whole body treatments or large area, or "sensitive" areas.

I did probably 8 whole body treatments. I opted not to do the double pulse after having tried it a couple times on smaller, problem areas. It was expensive, but worth it.

^^^ that looks like the machine I think.

I made a deal to pay upfront for 6 treatments for the chest and abs for that price

and yes it hurt in some sensitive spots but its worth a few minutes of pain for me.

how much you pay per treatment would you say? total? you did whole body treatments in the same appointment? that must have taken a while

I got quoted several years ago 2k to do upper body excluding arms. Sounds like prices may have dropped a bit. I will definitely be looking forward to hearing about your results.

2K for how many treatments bro? its takes more than 1 treatment

trust me if I could do my upper body without arms for 2K total where it would be guaranteed to keep hair off forever I would do it in a heart beat

It's been quite awhile ago so I don't recall how many treatments it was. I do believe there was a limited guarantee though. Had just had twins so money was a bit tight at the time. The wife has mentioned me getting it done a few times lately. I'm trying to save for a new car though.

you won't keep 100% of hair off forever. If they make that guarantee, don't believe them. Especially a hairy guy like you!

I think total I paid like $2800 for TOTAL body hair removal. Each session was half the body. I mean back, chest, legs, butt, abdomen, shoulders, taint, around the cock...you name it. It got zapped. Obviously not my face/beard, but some guys do that too.

^^^ so today you still have some hair just light where its not noticeable?

2800 I would do it in a heart beat for my whole body excluding face.

Pretty much. I mean it's noticeable if you look closely. Let me put it this way...when I have the wife shave my back now I get probably 10-15% of the amount of hair I used to that comes off. And it is vey light and thin hairs.

It was definitely worth it.

^^^ with what this lady charges I could end up doing my entire torso front and back for about under a G. assuming it takes 10 treatments for each side at $45 per treatment on avg. so I think that's a good deal. my arms and legs aren't hard to deal with

Prices have changed so much. I remember back in 2005/2006 I was quoted $6000 on a "Valentine's Day Special" (much cheaper than it normally was) for full body treatment. Back then they guaranteed you'd be happy, and if you bought the package and any hair came back you were able to come in any time and always have it handled -- so long as they were still in business.

I can't believe it's only $45. It runs about $70 for a full bikini wax.

Whoa $70?! I can get my full upper chest/back done at some places for $100...

And maybe you should look into treatments. My woman had them done for her bikini and armpits. Now she hardly ever has to shave because she rarely ever gets hair anymore. It takes weeks for it to grow. And she only had 4 treatments done. She's actually planning on doing another 2 to pretty much finish them up for good.

You just have to wait a bit for the treatments to really make a difference. And you have to let the hair grow to a certain length before going in for treatment. This bothers some people, but I think its worth it.

Good to know.

i get botox, laser treatment, everything... your getting a damn good price on it but it depends on the areas and how big they are, how many treatments, the facility, etc... i can't stand always shaving my chest, arms, legs, etc... the treatments absolutely work and to me, its definitely worth it... im glad its working for you brother... very wise move...

Interesting.. I was actually just looking into this. Lord knows we never get cold in the winter! I've heard mixed reviews about hairs coming back, etc. I'm curious to see the outcome for sure!

Botox?? For what?! This took me by surprise

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding this so lazer removal and can make it permanent down the road after multi treatments?

your hair grows in cycles. so 1 treatment will kill off lets ballpark 85% of the hair on that particular cycle. unfortunately it won't do anything for the next cycle of hair that comes in. that's why after 1 treatment I have blotches of hair missing and why you must go in multiple times on the same area. the idea is if you go in every 6 weeks and get 85% of your hair nuked out on each hair cycle eventually you will have excellent results. for example as I said my friend is on his 4th or 5th treatment and he still has 3 or 4 blotches of hair leftover but the rest of his area is hairless

it also depends on how well you take care of the area. if you are in the sun a lot its gonna rob the energy away and make the treatment less effective. also when you go in make sure you are as hairless as possible. (this is what the lady told me) so if you go to the beach you are best served wearing protection over the area to avoid getting sun

I was lucky cause I threw out some names and plus I negotiated with the lady on the price and paid upfront.

it helps to have connections and plus this time of year is her slow time late summer. she really needed the business.

I've gotten laser on multiple places over the years, totally worth the money.
I get random hairs every now and then so I go to my laser place and she zaps them for me (for free).
It does take many sessions to see big changes. I've done certain areas just a few times where I still wanted to option of having hair but wanted it less thick.

I'm currently having a tattoo removed and a pleasant side effect is hairloss. I'm sure the laser wavelengths are different so results I'm sure will be different as well the hair is gone. Either way it's totally worth the pain. Lol
