Hey guys,
I hope someone out there has some 'magic' insight that I could really use. Here is my background:
In high school during a football physical I learned that I had some cardiac murmur that was resolved, however I always had some issues with weight/fat. Well, some preliminary blood tests found that I had an underactive thyroid (all levels were low) but I had no health insurance and was unable to follow up with this.
By the end of my first year out of HS I had exploded to 278 pounds at only 5'9"; but I found the gym and was determined to lose weight after a visit with a local doc (eventually got insurance through Walmart) told me I had until I was 36 to live if I kept it up. I didn't understand what to do as my diet was usually around 2500 calories. But I began to destroy my body, I ran until I would black out and walk 20+ miles at work every day. The only nutrition I had was strawberry syntha-6 and a multi-vitamin.... For four months. I dropped to 200 pounds and felt amazing but hit a major plateau.
Since then I began working on admissions into medical school and have been working the medical field since high school, so I understand a bit about the human body. And now that I have put on a good bit of muscle, I really want to lose this last bit of fat, but 100% strict diets and absurd amounts of hiit and cardio can't even budge my weight. Even with properly dosed Clen!! To be honest, 40mg a day of drop and 3500-4000 calories a day was barely enough to put on 10 pounds after six weeks.
This makes me wonder if my thyroid issues are the root of this problem and am searching for info on say, a t3/t4 supplement that may help. Or, if I would be lucky enough to find someone that was able to get out of the same rut.
I hit the plateau three years ago. And even though I am in much better stronger condition now.. I would just love to drop this last bit of padding. So thanks for all help brothers!
