im 17 5'6 and 145 to 150 pounds if i use protein will it work to build muscle for me im a little fat mostly my belly. i just want to know if i should use protein supplements to get better results of if i should work our till im cut.

no you don't need supplements at your age. what you need #1 is to get on a good workout program where you put in the hours and train with CORRECT FORM. talk to your high school football or weight lifting coach for his advice. if he is worth anything he will help put you on a program.. also try and play sports where you get in a lot of running like soccer, track ,cross country etc. this will get you physically fit and boost your heart health at a young age

as far as diet i am not going to tell you what 99% of guys will say on forums as if it is going to be realistic to eat 100% clean. everyone at that age ate what their parents or school gave them so it is laughable for me to tell you to go and buy quality food from the supermarket. just try and avoid the glaring junk food, fast food, sugars, soda, etc.

what you do NOW as a teen will help bigtime as you age

and once you go to college next year or two you will have access to good gyms and it will be FREE along with your tuition so you can take what you learn now and use that to be consistent in college.. the chicks will dig a guy with decent muscle

Well yes and maybe no. If your diet is not adequate you are probably not gonna benefit much at all from taking.
So before considering any of these "bodybuilding" supplements make sure you diet is good and consisting mostly of healthy foods.
Eat Big and Get Big like late Rich Piana (R.I.P) used to say.

Diet and training is where your focus should be at that age. Make sure you are eating enough and hit it hard in the gym

Agreed. I think learning and practicing good form will benefit your time spent too, as silly as it sounds. Focusing on the muscles you're trying to work on during the lift and making the mind muscle connection is huge.

Try to go to the gym and have a meal plan, no need for a food supplement as of the moment since you are still young.
