I have been training for years both for endurance and muscle growth. I have now been stuck for 2 years at the same level for muscle size. I'd like to go on a cycle to break that level.
I was wondering if keeping the running (low pace, about 80 kilometers a week, with a 50km run), would strongly affect the muscle gains from the cycle, or if I as long as I eat enough it would not matter so much.
Note that I'm not interested in improving my running speed.
I usually run 3 times a week, and go the gym 3 times a week as well. I still do some cardio on the side such as indoor bike.
Can I continue the running sessions while on a cycle? Or would it be totally counter productive?
