Approved Log My Cut Cycle Log: Road to 200lbs or less! My first cut ever.

@kcates the stair climber and treadmill are great options. i would encourage some swimming too. its really low impact cardio
I don't have a real option for swimming in my schedule even though I love in Florida. My wife has joined a HIIT class gym. Wasn't my idea but she went with a friend. She likes that they just tell her what to do and it's 30 minutes. There are a bunch of other people there in her shape and the community is very supportive. I told her the best exercise to do is the one u will stick with. I am going to go and try it with her. Yesterday I couldn't but maybe today. I might join just so I can be supportive and hold her accountable. She had some bad experiences in box gyms but as she gets thinner she may be more receptive to go with me and strength train. I told she can go and I will be there with her and train with her and nobody going to look down on you but be like dang how she get that guy in the gym. Lol
Sometimes you can get a whole ribeye or top round for way less per pound than buying the steaks already cut. You can 12 to 15 steaks out a whole ribeye
Yeah we were doing that I remember when I first started going to Costco we could get one for like 80 bucks. Now there like 130 for the same size. It's crazy how much they have gone up.

Another option for both of you is yoga. 🧘‍♂️

More like 180.00 to 220.00
I will get the packs of organic boneless skinless chicken breasts at costo. It is a decent deal most times. It is what I grind up into Ground chicken. I do love Red Meat and post burger all the time, but I try and keep the fat down and get the best bang for protein for the caloric intake that I can get. I absolutely love Ribeyes, but the fat makes it much higher in calories with not nearly as much protein as chicken breast or Cod from Alaska.
During a nice lean bulk, I will totally scarf down steaks, but never during a fat loss cut cycle/phase.
I love pulled pork as well, but its protein to fat is even worse than beef.
I heard @stevesmi say on a podcast interview with Harleyguy that he sees people get in the way of their own bodies all the time when it comes to food, compounds and just paying attention to what their bodies need, they don’t believe what their bodies are saying…..and @Mobster threw in…Yup yup thats what they do Steve

Dang, I guess things are a little cheaper in Florida, the ribeye roast aren't that bad yet. Still more then I want to pay though. So we eat more chicken and pork there days cause of cost.

Find a farmer and buy a portion of a cow. Some are cheaper than others and it’s still way more than it was, but you should be able to lock in several months of eating beef at a steep discount

Good cardio today again :D @kcates and waiting on bloods.
Food is clean today, much better less fat, well done!

Yeah I was just looking about 4500 for a whole cow processed where I live.
So like $10/pound +/-
But Florida has some big grass pastures that look pretty damn good I’ve seen them. Is this the kind of place you’re thinking of? I would try to make that happen man. It’s not getting any cheaper and ruminant meat has some magic that pigs and birds don’t have. You can argue All day about the science of it but the results I saw were undeniable

@kcates Very nice job man. I really wish I could digest beans as well as other people. They are really good nutrition.

You know what gets me now days is if I eat something sweat like cake at a birthday party or something. Gives me the stomach hurts then the shits. So I know sugar is no good for me because I feel it. I am sure I can tell me why it does that but it's like it's trying to get rid of it asap.

They do it by hanging weight. So a 1100 pound cow would be about 750 hanging. Then it's about 6.5 a pound hanging weight. I can probably find it cheaper if I found my own rancher and my own processor. I got to save up money to do it. Until then grocery store will be the place.

yeah man i hate having upset stomach. ruins your day, ruins your sleep, ruins your workouts. 8 seconds of pleaseure vs. hours of suffering makes no sense. i try to explain that to people but they don't get it

I meant to say I am sure you can tell me why the sugar does that to me? I don't know why, i just have experienced the result.
sugar in general is inflammatory and also a magnet for bacteria. spikes your blood sugar. but also the other ingredients in the cake are really bad. the amount of preservatives, additives and other junk that are in it. just tear up the stomach all around

you can buy or make healthier cake options.

this is a nice mess of food right here. the stairclimber and treadmill look terrific too. its a nice meal plan @kcates

Dang bro sorry to hear that. Luckly now u have learned to use those genetics to your advantage to get freaking jacked! Looking great now bro!
Bros for sure. Something clicked with me when it comes to weight training, I'm glad I found it and I'm glad I found bros like you that are supportive. And glad I found this place.

Wouldnt that be a rush to eating spoon fulls of negro frijoles. I be bouncing off the walls probably still this morning. It would have been a good pre-work out! Lol
bros as long as you not bouncing out on the toilet. @kcates i can't do beans lol. i would be nuking the gym toilet if i took them pre workout!

@kcates i would think you living in Kansas or whatever there would be lots of farms. unless of course they got hit by a tornado lol. speaking of which have you seen one before? those things are scary!

I just take 12 ounces of ground beef throw it in the skillet, then the rice , and then crack the eggs over it all. Add some seasoning for flavor. Then just stir fry. I think that time I added some green salsa on top afterwards for flavor. It was pretty good. I eat that same meal most mornings. I just like it and it's easy. You prep the rice and then let it get cold in the fridge and dry. Minimum usually is 24 hours but I make a lot and just keep it in a ziplock gallon bag. I have learned white rice last longer in the fridge then brown rice. Then I prep the ground beef by cooking 5-10lbs at a time keep it in a gallon bag. Then when I go to make it I just weigh out what I need and throw it all in the skillet. Crack the eggs and stir until it's all cooked and looks like stir fry. You should try it!
ah okay that is a good idea. would sound good on some fajitas too

Thursday:

I live in Jacksonville, Florida. My family is from Oklahoma but I haven't been there since I was a child. At my grandparents house on the ranch u could sit on the porch and once in a blue moon u would see small ones moving across the pastures in the distance. Now I deal with hurricanes. My dad was an officer in the air force so we moved around but was stationed a lot in Florida. So after high school I dropped off in Florida. I have lived in Florida most of my life. Now I am married to a Florida native and she won't move until certain people pass on. I want to move up into blue ridge or Georgia when we retire.

I saw recently someone making ice cream out of protein powder and it was like a whole bunch and real low in calories. I want to try that when I have some time. Where can I find these healthier desert options? Got any links to check out?

there used to be a healthy cheescake they sold at whole foods. but it got discontinued. it was made from nuts, eggs, etc. my advice is go to a good health food store and use the yuka app and search the frozen food section for decent sweets. there are some ice creams that are good, but even in a health food store they are mostly junk

also i posted on page 70 or so of my log a protein bar recipe. the bars come out quite sweet but made from all healthy ingredients

Thank you I will look into this. This will be fun to try and make some stuff with my son. My son wants to be a chef. He is so cool. The camps he goes to during the summer is cooking camps and schools. Then when we go on vacations he always wants to do cooking classes as his choice of activity to do. I will get the protein bar recipe and do that with him to spend time with him.

@kcates good work getting cardio in. I love the black beans they are just hard for some to digest

Yeah I have done that before with some cheese!
yeah i might make that this weekend. i possibly might have a chick coming over. be the first time i've had a women over in years

Is there a specific instant oats I should use?
Any brand I think you're on a budget so buy bulk in costco :D
of course whole oats are better but harder to work with @kcates

Thanks, I am trying but still in a recomp. I need to cut back on fattier meat I think to lose more weight faster.
In time you will :D

will be waiting :D
Here is the blood work some good things and some not so good.
  • Can my AST and ALT ones be down from binge drinking about a week before? I drank a lot that nit probably at least 12 coronas and shots. I couldn't function Sunday and still was feeling tired Monday.
  • The salt and chloride may be off because i drank a lot of water before the test to make sure I was hydrated to rule out being dehydrated making my red blood and hematocrit being high. I drank a gallon of water in an hour before blood work. I think that effected that part.
  • Red Blood Cell count and hematocrit is high still. When I was doing 500 mg of test on my last blood work in the middle of cycle. Red blood was 6.11 and hematocrit was higher at 55.9 but both pretty much the same. I made sure I was hydrated and i gave blood 2 days before this blood test as well. At that last test hemoglobin was high but it has come down now by 1 point.
  • last blood work my bun/creatine was outside of the range at 27 and now we are within range
  • Urea nitrogen was 29 on last test and now we are in range at 16
  • Test is down from 1953 down to 1249.
  • My E2 was not done on this test even after i asked the nurse that it was going to be tested. I called the doctors office and she said she is going to call them and have them add it. So that should be coming soon. I have been pinning EOD to see if that helps with my E2. I am not on any arimidex at the moment. I feel great and no sides to high E2. I want to see what blood work shows though.
  • A1C is down and looking real good. I think last time it was checked it was 5.4 and now i am back down in the 4's at 4.8
My question is how do i get the blood count and hematocrit to come down is that just going to have to be reducing my TRT to a lower dose at this point since I do blood donates every time I am allowed, blood pressure has gotten really good, and i am hydrated? I am not sure what else I can do for that. The doctor said if it continues to be high then we would need to reduce my TRT dose.

Lets hear what everyone has to say and offer as advice. I appreciate everyones advice and help. Love the EVO family for this!

That’s some good blood pressure man. Especially with hematocrit high. IMO, drinking a gallon of water one hour before your blood test isn’t ideal. I’ve heard Todd Lee’s rants about it. But let’s think about this: if you are natty, even with high natural testosterone, would you need to do that? Fuck no you wouldn’t. So the truth is, his idea is really just hacking the test to rationalize our abuse hahaha. Additionally, I don’t think your body can just soak all that water right up like a sponge in one hour. You need to drink that the day before, along withwith enough electrolytes for it to even be drawn into your body. And if you did that daily and your hematocrit was in range, I’d say it’s working!

The drinking probably didn’t help your liver much. Can you swing a few bottles of N2Guard? It worked better than anything I’ve tried recently. I’m not going to judge you on that, I’m sure it was a one off and you paid for it. I’ve done it too.

Remind me what is your trt dose? There’s definitely situations where you can feel better taking less.

The water definitely dilute things look at my electrolytes they went down from my normal range. I only did it this time to rule out dehydration making my numbers elevated. That is definitely ruled out it's not dehydration. It's the test elevating my numbers. I am on 200mg a week EOD pinning. Also from what I understand being on cycle and just coming off in the beginning of September and red blood has a 120 day life cycle it is still going to take time for it to come down. I will talk to my doc about it Friday and take it from there on what he says. Definitely do another test in 10 weeks and see how things look then.

AST and ALT bump is almost certainly from that binge, 1 heavy night like that can spike them short term. Good that BUN and creatinine normalized, shows kidneys are handling the load fine.
can you tell us why you're drinking? I'm a former heavy alcoholic myself ive talked about this in the open before (i was literally laying on the street at times drunk) and I know drinking is related to issues. are you ok? worrying us, please share

RBC and hematocrit still high even after a blood draw means you’re probably just sensitive to androgens. Or its diet related too, possible.
Once your e2 result comes in, post it up with the full panel so we can fine tune this in your log. @kcates

I use to drink socially. I went to one of my best friends wedding. All the boys from town and out of town were there. I decided to drink with everyone for the night. Hey at least I didn't smoke pot and eat mushrooms that night. I did draw the line there. Had a great time but did not feel great the next day or the day after lol. I don't have a reason not to drink other then I just don't care to because I don't like feeling like crap and it's not good for my health. I guess I just need a reminder once in awhile. That one should hold me over until 2026 sometime until I forget what it's like to feel hungry over again. Lol

Truthfully bro you'd be a lot better off smoking and shrooming than drinking that much. You would've felt fine the next day and possibly more enlightened lol. Nothing more fun then a good time tripping on shrooms with some buddies. You'll never laugh harder I promise

Oh I got life issue but not trying to fix them with drinks. I thought that was what the gym was for! Until next time if there is one just water, supplements and an occasional unsweet tea for me to drink. Lol

This good news having one night of an alcohol binge is what the 'normal' people can do. If you got hammered and woke up and don't wanna do it again for a long time and don't then you're not an alcoholic so I'm happy.

Your bloods actually look fine bro. Anything raised is normal especially the ALT/ALK with the pounding you gave your liver at the wedding. On gear all the other stuff will be raised but reconcile over time once you're off.

Blood pressure is the is the silent killer and yours is in check so I'd say you're doing well bro. Keep up the good work and keep the log running like a finely oiled machine.

Although the focus here is on TRT the advice I've given elsewhere for blood tests applies. With the added - don't drink a lot of booze pre test

Given we can, as lifters and users of high protein,m give false positives for a couple of indicators it's best to
1. Fast for 24 hours. Just normal water intake
2. No creatine for 2-3 days
3. No training for 48 hours.

@kcates when it comes to anything like this. 8 seconds of dopamine rush vs. feeling like shit 2-3 days. never made sense to me. but peer pressure def got the best of you here.

You definitely puts your body through a lot of stuff, so I'm not surprised by your blood work. But the reality is most people in your situation are going to have even worse blood's. So it's good that you're at least on top of things and you're looking to improve it. @kcates

Yeah, I am thick headed and sometimes I need to be reminded the stove is hot. Lol
bros my plumbing co-workers always going out to drink and acting like fools. @kcates couple years back they made a joke about asian women.. well my wife asian. so i smacked one of them on the spot. drinking bring out the worst in people.

@kcates that is something that has to come with the territory. But be thickheaded when it comes to things that are good. Seems like these friends really are trying to drown their sorrows.

Maybe a few but most of them are just social drinkers. We all use to be hard party friends. Now we all mostly just work and spend time with our families. Times like these we get together and celebrate!

i can see what you mean. as long as they don't bring you down the rabbit hole

I'm glad you're being open and honest about this. A lot of people would have done it and not even mentioned it at the end of the day. Alcohol is a big no no. It has a lot of health ramifications and it will cause problems in the short and long term. @kcates

Haha love it!

Ok ya @kcates 12.5mg aromasin ED and get bloods done again in a few weeks. If money is an issue just pay to get e2 done. 96 for too long will become an issue bro.

Actually been a bit fatigued and maybe some water retention would be the only possible sides if any. Maybe some oily skin but I have always had oily skin and hair when I had hair over 30 years ago.

Ok then seriously LOL ..... see above quote.

I am going to talk to my doctor on Friday and see what he wants to do before I start anything new. This is one of my TRT checkups along with my A1C. Take it all in and decide what I want to do.
Ok keep us posted. If he's a standard general practitioner he's likely going to just lower your TRT dose and have you check again in 6 weeks.

I don't understand why he wouldn't wanna check Free T along with SHBG with those two but it's mainly your total T that can give a reason why you're aromatizing more anyway.

What do u do for yours or do you just ride with it? I don't feel any different when I am high. I was actually expecting to be down around 40 by the way I feel.
I went with it for years but I had body acne and that sucked. YouTube said e2 around 100 was fine lol. But I would get emotional at times, like a little teary eyed Over a good song or something hahaha. That was at 250mg a week which I took for at least like a year. And hcg. At that dose I started taking 6.25mg aromasin 3x a week. It got me right down into mid range, cleared my skin up beautifully, and I felt a bit more like my stoic self that I had kind of forgotten about.

Later, I decided to lower my dose because my bloodwork just wouldn’t get where I wanted it and bottom line, I was on a small cycle for years! There’s no reason for that, I’m not competing, I don’t have any huge goals, it was really just my typical behavior. So I dropped it to 100 and felt pretty bad! LOL, got it back up to 150 and stayed there for months while most of my bloodwork normalized. I was pinning just once a week, no aromasin, sure enough: e2 was 83. And I can tell. Just a little, but I can tell.

I’m not sure where I’m at right now, I’ve been running a lot more and 1:1 test:primo. I’ll find out soon

I finished 500 mg test weekly EOD pins then went to my prescribed TRT of 200mg a week EOD pins. My e2 is the same and my blood is the same as it was mid cycle on the 500mg a week. I guess if its going to be the same if I do 500 or 200 I should just do a gram every week, right? Lol, jk. Thank goodness I don't get acne. I am just getting way more hairy where I didn't use to grow hair when I was low T. I heard Dr. Tyna Moore say she could look at guys legs if they didn't grow hair on there shins they were low T. I didn't ever grow hair on my shins before taking testosterone and now I do finally. It use to look like I wore high socks all the time and it made the hair not grow from my shins down to my ankles.

I hear some say if your not getting sides don't worry about it. I don't think I am getting sides from it. Like I get tired if I am sitting around the house but am staying up later now that I am off caffeine. I don't know if I am holding water or not. I think I might but not sure. If I am it is so minimal. My joints feel really good. I will see what the doc says when I see him on Friday.

I really don't want to have to take another pill the rest of my life to control estrogen.

Maybe it’s fine!

Thinking about running low dose masteron and lowering my test to see if it will bring down my e2 instead of running AI all the time. Doing a test 150 and mast 50-100 for TRT. I don't think running AI long term is ideal. I have never ran masteron so would need to see how it effects my other markers.
Mast isn't a really good e2 control. Primo or EQ are way better.

You're much better off controlling with an AI vs compounds though. More predictable and safer in theomg run.

If you're having e2 symptoms while on TRT it just means you need to lower the test. You're right that you can't stay on an AI indefinitely.

You're better off using equipoise than masteron in your situation @kcates
mast will dry up your joints too much imo
