Hi all, looking to do my first cycle soon, most of my research was originally built from swoles guide but seems to be fairly old now (ukmuscle)
then followed by reddit which seemed a newer set of "basic" beginner steps etc and thus why test e only was chosen, now I've only just discovered EVO which you guys look far far friendlier!

Just turned 40, 6ft, 95kg, have been on and off gym for years but now I'm finally a bit more settled in life/can afford to actually buy supplements etc,

As of recently (last 6-8months only just got back into the gym) I have been running almost consistantly PPLPP or PPLUL (Depending on my work schedule, its been roughed up recently as wednesday I'm now in the office) (roughly 45-1h per session then I end each session with an additional 30min incline treadmill walk) (in summer I'll likely be walking to the gym and back (30mins each way).

Goal is to build up from my tiny frame/get a bigger chest as I'm kinda sick of being this small forever, the classic lower body fat ring but I don't mind so much if I'm wanting to bulk up/I can always cut later (being christmas almost its not that time..)
hitting roughly 200g of protein per day (usually bumped by a shake if I need it)
Sleep is hit and miss but I'm working on it (Imagine ill have to buy a new mattress to fix it)

So the "plan" so far
Week 1-13
Test E 500mg every monday

AROMASIN
Dose: 6.25mg–12.5mg on pin days (starting lower end)
(Since I've never done this my only details are to "bump" this up if you begin to feel puffy nipples)

Week 14-16
Test E
HCG - 1000iu (500iu Monday + Thursday).

Week 17-19
HCG - 1000iu (500iu Monday + Thursday.

Week 20-25
Nolvadex/Tamoxifen 20mg daily.

Routine Ive been running (Ignore the comments on the right mostly) (This table is butchered when in the preview! lemmy fix)



I'll add a picture when I can, now you guys can rip apart the above and tell me what I absolutely have gotten wrong! I've no doubt some might say either "you're not ready" or "stick it for another year or two then do it" but no matter what at this point in life/age honestly, I'm just gonna do it and see what results I get. I'd obviously rather get some super good advice from you guys and go through the process with you guys rather than on my own.

To avoid peaks and troughs being too extreme and minimizing aromatization to E2.
Ah thanks I'll keep that in mind (I'd also have to pick up more needles if i did go for 2 a week), could you tell me what the most "obvious" initial symptoms you'd notice? All I've got is nipples might begin to get puffy/libido might fall through the floor etc, I can only imagine what puffy nips feel like at this point when I've never had em!

I debated this doing both mon/thurs etc but initially figured what the hey do it in one, but as I've no experience eitherway, any reason for this preference?

You look good in the pics and have a solid base to start from, chest and arms already there. :D

Your cycle needs some modifications though because 500mg test with that HCG layout and aromasin plan is messy, you dont need HCG at all its estrogenic.
I suggest we start with 300mgs testosterone/week sports TRT with 2 shots, mon/thur can you pin 2 times?

Diet, Training, Cardio
Diet, please share foods and meals and when you eat them, macros would be good
Training, please share actual exercises reps sets and weights, as you go especially get stronger, your base training has no details
cardio how much do you do? when etc
If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Or use an app like myfitness pal or cronometer. Very easy.

Training is PPLPP or work dependant PPLUL (monday to friday), running those in post 2, I roughly aiming for 8-10 reps x 3 for each listed under PUSH/PULL/LEGS etc, upper/lower I generally do a mix, I have been tracking how its been going but only the last few weeks on a google spreadsheet (as I've bounced around 10 million apps ive found useless) each day ends with a 30minute incline walk (when its warmer again they'll be a 30min walk to and from the gym as well.

Diet currently is ass this is cause the mrs does all the cooking as I hate it, all I've been doing is aiming for at least 200g of protein to my body weight etc but haven't been actively tracking macros, I do intend to eat healthy/and track it all from after we get xmas out of the way.

No nothing yet, been slowly buying supplies, bit awkward timing when the cars having issues (taking it in next week) and with Christmas coming up, Test and aromasin is the last thing on the list, was struggling to find a supplier which led me to Evo! Fingers crossed car wise ill be able to stock up soon.

Also no bloods yet, not even sure where to go to get them done honestly.

@Testytestysourcey i do not see a purpose in using hcg. that is something i would take out. also add a strong T booster to your pct as well it will make you feel better

I like when more newer guys stick to more compound lifting the first couple years. Something like a 5x5 program rather than doing split routines. But that's just my opinion. @Testytestysourcey

Do you have a good option for a tbooster for PCT?

I've a question actually regarding needles/my lack of knowledge, the pack I'd originally bought was the intex set-combo which contained
X100 3ml single-use syringes
X50 single-use green needles- 21g*38mm
X50 single-use blue needles- 23g*32mm

Now since these aren't luer lock one (These just screw on right?), how do the non luer lock ones work? Are they just push to fit? So you'd push on green draw vial, pull off, push on blue then pin? I don't want to open/waste one just to find out etc.
 
Hey brother,

500mg first cycle in my opinion is way too much. Also as mentioned above try to split over 2 days per week minimum.
Being your first cycle jumping in to 500mg could give you some massive unwanted sides.
Get full set of bloods done prior to starting.

Start off on 250mg for 4 weeks then do bloods to see how you're responding.
That being said bloods are most important but also see how you feel. If good from there you can increase but I wouldnt go more than 350mg first cycle and run it for 12 weeks.

Your first cycle should always be about seeing how your body responds.

Some people metabolise test more than others (such as myself). 350 for me is like 700 for others. There is no one size fits all so see how your body responds to it and make sure you do bloods before, at 4 weeks and at peak.

Anything private over here we're generally shafted fairly hard, doing is discreetly at the local docs wouldn't work either as ive got family that works there and a mrs who would be the first to ask "whats that about bloods?"
You mean price issue?
 
Plenty of private places to do bloods in the UK where it would not be placed on your medical record.

Also search for needle exchanges and harm reduction services in your area. They give free bloods for steroid users and it's anonymous, so it doesn't go on your record they don't even take your name. Just your initials.

Good to know about the push-fit needles, thanks for clarifying! 👍 And yeah, definitely get bloods done before you start anything. It's the best way to know what's going on with your body.

Re car: took it to get a potential dpf issue sorted, drove 1h with the mrs also following in her car only for the car to fucking drop dead in their courtyard....gave a timing chain error which was panic mode...(it'd be around £1200 if that went), I had the oil light ping on on my way there so before trying to start again, waited almost 50minutes for some guy at this place to sell me some oil to which thank fuck the car worked, but then the dpf guy wouldn't look at it since he was more cautious for me to get the engine looked at properly first.. so I wasted almost 4h of the day of both me n the mrs's time on a pointless trip... at this point I'm considering selling it and looking to maybe save for a cheapish Tesla but its just something I really didn't want to have to be paying out for within the next 3-5 years honestly..

The cycle isn't too bad, test and cardarine not bad, but you dont need clomid you're better off with hcgenerate imo @Testytestysourcey

Tough day with the car and that timing chain scare sounds brutal but at least it fired up after the oil, check it first before you want to sell it right.

I am going to have to buy some more pins to be able to do Mon/Thurs as I'd only accounted for doing one pin on mondays only etc.

Hey heres my gym notes that I've been adding too/updating as Im in the gym etc, you'll notice leg day is definitely more neglected but its all since my work pattern has very recently changed to where I'm having to travel to the office again on random days.... I also wasn't initial recording in this, kept using different apps but couldn't figure out one that I was happy with in the end so start date is a bit naff/some previous weeks are hidden since it makes scrolling on the phone in the gym a pain in the ass otherwise.

JFC taking a blood sample was a fucking nightmare I just don't bleed lol... took all 3 of the pins it came with to actually get a fuckin finger to drip enough into the container!

Definitely slowly but surely, I've generally tried to do 2 or 3 weeks at one set of weights before bumping up so say on one specific exercise - mon 40kg @ 8x3 sets, next mon 40kg @ 12x3 (depending how it went I might do another week at 40kg 12x3 etc) if all well then I've either tried 45 or 50kg the week after to see how I got on etc, definitely seeing progress tho as theres a few (like chest press) I couldn't even do 10kg when I started, you might see the note HAF on there which just means "hard as fuck" lol.... you'll also see that red block which is not long after I'd started to add in pull/chinups which I hurt/pulled something between my chest and back which hurt for weeks!

Dips for example ^ couldn't do 12 with 50kg on the assist machine! Now hitting 12x3 without assist (trying to work on getting them slower and deeper now though)

I just can't fucking count it seems, that intex box had:
100x3ml
50 green
50 blue

1-16 week at mon/thur then being
32 green
32 blue

14-19 week if I did hcg is still only
12 green
12 blue

For sure, definitely already more confident in most of what I'm doing atm, missing the feeling of being pumped from the gym over the weekend!

When you're on test, how high do those results go?
depends on how much test you use obviously. the more you use the more the numbers go up. if you do 500mgs test your total test will get up over 4000ng/dl @Testytestysourcey
 
I can only assume its the small number range after the large one in the middle 🤷‍♂️
@Testytestysourcey Next time you need to get more comprehensive blood work, read the Blood work article that we have on here. Read Steve's thread on blood work and see the other blood work people have posted in their logs.

That's the good thing about this website. You can check out the other logs and look at people's blood work and look at what they're running. You'll get an idea of what can happen when you use steroids. @Testytestysourcey
 
I'm just gonna say fuck it and run 250 every mon/thursday to hit 500 a week, when in Rome as they say.
As to when I'm gonna start I'm in 2minds about starting before or after Xmas (depending obviously when it arrives etc)
not a good idea, start with 250mgs at least :D dont push it trust me @Testytestysourcey

Mainly cause I'm eating mainly trash/not tracking it and I've an advent calender which has a beer in it every day lol seems a waste to start now?
you should start trying to cut the beer if you can to non alcoholic and yes dont cycle with alcohol

Thus after Christmas, no point starting prior when I've daily alcohol from an advent calender, so plan details?

Definitely will hold off till 100% theres no alcohol left, especially being christmas it's likely ill be bought some, soon as its done ill get started properly, will keep updating the log with workouts regardless as ive def increased weights/progressed, today was the first time I've actually done 5 chinups in a row lol
