did you retest your potassium levels @rayray01 ? thanks to @toddthelineman I remember now you had issues there
lets not add avocado for now and monitor potassium
I have not inhave appnt with my pcp on 29th am.sure she will do labs again in couple of weeks to see where they are at, in the meantime time inhabe cut my potassium medication in half and will keep avocado at every other day because that will help my hdl which needs to come up as well... never had too much potassium as an issue i habe always had low potassium hence tske 80 meq or 4 - 20 meq tablets daily. I have cut that in half. @LevButlerov

if you need sleep aids you need to get magnesium zinc valerian root and melatonin @rayray01
Man I take magnesium every night, valerian root and still struggle to get 8hrs of rest. Melatonin does not do anything for me, used to take it but switched to valerian in hope of better sleep. Still no liuck.

These are actually hours I slept, I am in bed 8 hours or on dinner days 9 hrs but actual sleep is 4'6 hrs only... and this, it's not new hume days days the same and so did fit but and this is despite taking valerian root. I really struggle with sleep all my life so much so that I have gotten used typo functioning ink 4-5 hrs of sleep

None of this would have happened without your patience, and guidance and all the support from Evo fam. @LevButlerov @HarleyGuy
EVO love and support your way brother! Watching you grow into the EVO family and your knowledge base too has been a true pleasure to see. We're very happy to have you here!

Has anyone used I-m-8

https://im8health.com/pages/newyearoffer

Need to figure out how to sleep better for recovery. This supposedly helps.
Glycine works, but mild. I find it’s good for sleep quality, but won’t overpower other things you take that interfere with rest, such as Ashd medication and pre workouts, especially later in the day.

Are you using pre workouts, @rayray01 ?

Checkout @kcates , he eliminated caffeine and came off blood pressure medication completely. And if I recall, sleeping much better. It’s not easy, but very well worth it for some.

Progress as of 01/29
This is a huuuuge change bro I love the new abs!

@LevButlerov should we try him on a medium sized dose of GABA for sleep maybe? If the glycine fails too? I'm thinking 150mg ought to work.

@rayray01 It's really nice to see you taking this one step at a time and not trying to go headlong into things like when we started off. Great work bro.

I'd cut out any stimulants and there are some studies that show if you get up and do a little something in the night (even for 10 minutes) instead of laying there trying to force yourself back to sleep that you might get back to sleep easier after some activity.

Glycine is also not being effective. I took 2 of them yesterday along with 1 valerian root and still struggling. I have asked my primary care for a prescription of trazadone, lets see if she ck's it. Also ordered me some DSIP peptide, will try that out also.

@LevButlerov @HarleyGuy @toddthelineman
Dont take any prescription sleeping meds please.
how about melanonin add?

12% you sure?

Yes 12.4% on hume and 12.8% on ge so probably somewhere in between.. I am definitely getting lean. 100mcg of clen two on and two days ofg been pushing it in the right direction. Also.started red light therapy for the loose belly skin 20 min everyday. So hopefully that will start to show some results. Also applying retinol based lotion for firming the loose skin

No man I do not take any pre workouts and my doc changed my adhd prescription from 20mg to 10mg on my request and I don't take any past 1pm

@toddthelineman

Ok, won't take trazodone. Melatonin on top of valerian and glycine?? My challenge is not falling sleep, it's staying asleep is where my challenge lies. Hopefully dsip will help.
Yes try this, you need to get off your phone pre bed as well.

Would you one day consider titrating off these? Very slowly mind you. You've come a long way just through the screen to me and in your log so I think EVO is helping your mental state in terms of focus and a sense of expediency on things. I see a big improvement bro.

Yea man. But it's at 4:30am before my gym session. You think increasing hgh will help with deeper sleep.
OMG bro I'd dump the clen and add HGH for sleep for sure. Half life of clean is about 33 hours so it's FOR SURE affecting your sleep. And by now you're saturated with it. I'd dump the clen and add 2iu HGH pre-bed.

I did a high dose HGH experiment and I slept so deeply I pissed the bed. (Sent Lev a pic too LOL).

Yea I am sure I can stop it if I wanted to... I have the ability to stop anything if I need to. I have fine from 4 20mg a day to 2 10mg a day already. I'm all honesty I can go further down to just 10mg easily.

Ok sure I can do that so currently I am doing 2iu hgh so bump it up to 4iu then?

Peed.. wow that is some serious deep sleep. Lol

Cool! That helps narrow down the possibilities. Ideally, imo, removing the cause of poor sleep will net much better results than adding something to counteract the cause.

But it may not be simple to do that. You can study up on how light affects your circadian rhythm. It may seem kooky at first, but it’s the root of the whole thing and the science is sound. Your eyes, skin, everything down to your mitochondria are affected by light and the timing of it signals your circadian rhythm. This it true of most life forms. That’s why plants exposed to artificial light at the wrong time can be stunted or even hermaphroditic.

A very rigid schedule is one way to reinforce your circadian rhythm. Go to bed at the same time and don’t try to distract yourself if you’re stirring or wakeful. Stay in bed, don’t look at your phone. Nothing. If you’re tired from wakefulness the next day, get up at the exact same time and power through it. Then go to bed at the exact same time. Full dark. Get blackout curtains.

People who visit very remote places, such as deep in Africa, report sleeping like they’ve been drugged. That’s because of the absence of artificial light and distractions. I can confirm this from my canoe trip into Canada as a teen. We traveled several days into an area completely inaccessible by motorized vehicles. The melatonin that your body makes is powerful.

Tookn1 valerian root, 1 glyc9ne and 4iu's tonight and off to bed. Will keep you guys posted. But that c is one expensive way to sleep with 2iu additional of hgh... lol
update us later :D

I totally agree with Todd on finding the root problem and solve it but you got to try things to see if they work as well. It has become a trial and error for me to solve my problems.tried glycine on top of magnesium glycinate and it didn't do anything for me. I ended up figuring out for my sleep problems was lack of carbs at dinner. I only eat 2 meals typically due to my work. I eat a big breakfast and had my carbs then. Then at night I typically just ate a pound of meat. Sleep got shitty. I tried different stuff kept studying on cause and solutions. Finally recently tried adding carbs at dinner and bingo! Now I been sleeping again my 8-9 hours with amazing dreams. Same issue with my blood pressure. It was going high every afternoon from 130/80 in the am then 150-170/90 pm. Kept trying different meds supplements. I even told the doctor if it could be caffeine he even said it shouldn't jack it up that high. Sure enough I finally said fuck it I am going to go off caffeine and see what happens. I did a taper down weekly to try and curb side effects like headaches. I could actually see my blood pressure curve go down each week along with my caffeine reduction. Now I am completely caffeine free. I only drink water or water with my supplements and protein. I will say that coming off caffeine did help my sleep temporarily but then had issues again and that's when I figured out the carb issue. I will say caffeine has been the hardest drug to come off in my entire life and I use to abuse alcohol and drugs in my 20's- about 40. Nothing compared to coming off pot, coke, meth, or pills like that did for me. Just keep trying one thing at a time or elimination one thing at a time until you narrow down the issue. Keep studying on your own you have to handle your own health. Best advice I can give you. Good luck on your journey because that sleep is the best thing.

If you know this about yourself and your body then please do. Lowest effective dose on any Rx med is advisable especially since we're trying to get you to sleep. Let's try and mitigate sleep issues by cutting out any unnecessary stimulants.

Great read bro, well said.

Sleep last night looks decent. What happened on Tuesday night that caused the blip of better sleep?
I had my 13 month old daughter Friday they Monday, man she tired me out like none other plus when she is here I barely sleep at night just so I can be up in jiffy to changed her diapers or get her a bottle in middle of the night. So when she v left Monday evening I slept good that night.
@HarleyGuy

Bro I have 4 amazing children of my own and they're my best friends (older now) and 3 younger stepkids so this now makes total sense to me about the Tuesday sleep stats LMAO!!

As of 02/01/26, can't wait till I am back lifting again properly...
Progressing nicely bro. Once you're back to full form it will only get better and better. And I have that loose skin too lower belly fat, don't worry we can deal with that too.

Overall very happy with processes and recovery both, thanks to all the support from Evo family and special shout out to @HarleyGuy and @LevButlerov.

And for loose skin I have been using red light belt and tightening and firming lotion also, it has only been 2 days th I ugh so hopefully with consistent use of it, the loose skin problem will get better as well. If not will fly to turkey for a quick surgery for it.

Thank you. Yes I agree. Now that's i have started to lift lightly it will strengthen and speed up the recovery as well. Today was the first time I seed BFR Cuffs on and and bit did they kick my but and my shoulder c is so sore but in a good way. First time in 2 months I did seated rows. Overall very happy with processes and recovery both, thanks to all the support from Evo family and special shout out to @HarleyGuy and @LevButlerov.

You're working really hard brother and it shows!

Is that the infamous and elusive bicep split you got showing there? Not too many pros ever had those genetics but it makes the bicep look awesome.

Arms are looking hard bro well done. Please, very light on the seated rows and compound push/pull movements.

Thank you. Yea being very careful with all my.lifts. no ego lifting, letting my body drive the volume of the weights (usually 60% of my max lift). Keeping everything in comfort zone but just breaking the upper body in slowly after a gap of 2 months. Will keep it at around this for next one month then next month will move 80% of my max for the month and then slowly work towards max capacity.

Yes those are bicep splits now I gotta get my right arm to catch up to my left. I am.doing 1 extra.set on my right arms for every excersize since it needs to get caught up to my left.

Smart move, try and overtax your lagging bicep but controlled and avoid injury. Nice genetics on the bicep split I don't get to see that often at all!!

I like your plan for 60% to 80% but it can just be a rough goal for now, let your body tell you the good or bad news as we go. Great planning and way to stick at it. Remembering all the way back to the thumbs up in the hospital you've come a long way brother!
