5 more weeks or so for the EQ to build up but the test….AWESOME!!

I have arthritis in my right shoulder, I still lift hard with it and have been getting cortisone shots every 90 days. They really don’t work for very long anymore and the arthritis is severe. Sometimes the pain can be debilitating, but I push through it anyway.
The Doc originally wanted to try platelet enriched plasma therapy but the arthritis is way to advanced.
On June 4th, we are going to start the process for a peripheral nerve block.

In the meantime, anybody have any ideas on how to mitigate the pain or would it even be possible to heal the arthritis ? The one thing I know would work, would be to quit lifting…..that isn’t going to happen…..oh fuck no!!!

Remember that a nerve block is not a cure — it only blocks the pain, but it doesn’t remove the problem. Quite often people end up training harder and more because they don’t feel the pain anymore, and that can lead to even more damage. So keep that in mind, brother.

Also remember that the foundation of collagen production is fats — including E2, which is one of the key factors. That’s why it’s worth keeping it in the upper range, or even slightly above.

What I could suggest: add extra fats to your diet, like MCT oil — even 20–30 ml with a meal. Work on reducing inflammation as well, for example with cold post-workout compresses.

BPC-157 and TB-500 could also help. And remember that an appropriate dose of HGH can increase collagen production.

It would also be good to direct your training with someone experienced in rehabilitation so they can guide you on the ranges of motion you can safely work in.

For now, that’s what comes to mind haha. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.”

That is sound advice, thank god the only thing going on is arthritis and a lot of noisebwhen I do push days…the noise is the arthritis being ground down 😂😂😂

I will find ways to increase collagen!!!

It’s not like that, bro — just because there’s no pain doesn’t mean everything is okay. The inflammation may go away, but remember that the steroid will completely dry out the synovial bursa. It helps a lot, but it can also harm you — and if you increase weights and training, you could do even more long-term damage :)
Remember, pain is your body’s signal that something isn’t right, so it’s always worth listening to it. But as I wrote above, if you take care of your E2, plus proper fats in your diet and stay hydrated, it will be all good :)

It helps a lot, but it can also harm you — and if you increase weights and training, you could do even more long-term damage :)
Remember, pain is your body’s signal that something isn’t right, so it’s always worth listening to it. But as I wrote above, if you take care of your E2, plus proper fats in your diet and stay hydrated, it will be all good :)

It is hard, I just want to go go go, but I know that I have to be careful. I have many work arounds to be able to train hard.
It sucks, but I know if I do the things you suggest, with diet, e2 and hydration it will help.

Saturday did legs and some light shoulder work

Leg press
Sled was 115lb and I added 270
3 x 15 to 20

Horizontal squat machine
225lbs 3 x 13

Leg extensions/heel elevated body weight squats
90lb/body weight 3 x 25/failure

Shoulders
DB Shrugs
60lbs 3 x 15 to 20

Lateral raises
10lbs 3 x 10

Pec deck for rear delts
60lbs 2 x 11

Cardio was a two hour hike on a trail at Folsom Lake with the Sweet one yelling back at me “you can lift like animal but you can’t keep up with a girl on a trail, hurry up you big ape!” She had water and a kiss waiting for me when I caught up, then she reminded me that although am an ape, I am her ape!!

Sunday I drove home, took the day off and did the same as today. I am pretty sote and the sleeping in felt good!!

I know all about traveling and trying to stick to a routine. You got your workout in and you attempted to eat good. It’s life and we have to adapt sometimes.

It was great!! I just have to be aware. My girl said that Im not allowed to bring my food scale out with us to dinner 😂😂😂😂
