Hgh injection timing and carbs

Hey sorry if this has been done to death, just after some advice, done a heap of reading on it and have gotten very conflicting views.

I'll explain my situation - I'm up at 3am then gym, work 12 hours, home by 6:30pm asleep by 8pm at the latest.

Issue is if I don't eat before bed I wake up hungry and unable to sleep so if my last meal during work is around 3pm, can I inject hgh 5iu as soon as I get home 630pm and then eat an hour later 730pm ? Or will that interfere with it too much ?

Or if I was able to eat a meal at work around 530pm then inject at 730pm before bed is this enough time between eating and injecting to avoid any interference ?

Also would it be better to split the dose 2.5iu before bed and 2.5iu in morning, the goal is to build mass as bodyfat is already low enough so not worried about getting lyposis effects from it.

Thanks in advance 🙏

Option B (eating a meal at work at 5.30pm) would be best. Since you train at around 3am (the window where you should consume most of your carbs) my advice would be to limit carbs consumed in that final pre-bed meal so that you get less interference with glucose & insulin sensitivity. Free fatty acids can also contribute to insulin resistance, so ideally your last meal is a higher protein & low-moderate fats & carbs one.

If you need food before bed, pinning 5iu at 6:30pm then eating at 7:30pm is fine, you just want at least 60-90 minutes with no food after the pin so insulin is low during that window. @TrimJim
Eating at 5:30pm then pinning at 7:30pm is also fine, 2 hours is usually enough unless it was a huge high carb meal.

Splitting 2.5iu AM and 2.5iu PM can work if you want more stable recovery, but most guys keep it pre bed for simplicity and sleep benefit.
Get a log up with your meal times, GH timing, sleep, training, and bodyweight so the EVO family can dial it in around your schedule instead of guessing. 15min to start :D

HOW-TO LOG?

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.

To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight, height, age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
  • Please post a Log Journal asap for us

Has this sleeping issue only been happening since you increased the HGH? If so simply lower the dosage. I think that will help. Your body is telling you something.

A lot of times these questions are up for debate, and they can be changed as you go. At the end of the day if something is not working, you need to change it up.

Hey mate thanks for the reply,

Yes I was actually debating starting up a journal to keep myself accountable and get a few tips !

Took some pics last week and got bloods currently 4 weeks into a cycle after being on trt for the last 6 months.

I'll write up a proper journal next week (working away)

Waking up hungry is always an issue if I don't eat before bed 😅 usually the eating before bed is not a problem though but have been skipping it due to taking hgh

Yea that's it, it's definitely working getting bigger and leaner each week, just wanting to try and maximize it by avoiding any insulin spikes while at the same time getting good sleep and enough food in, a bit of a balancing act.

So this is a YOU issue. Meaning you're not masking time to eat as well as you might. Hard when you're doing 12 hour shifts I know. I'd have at least something like (food is a LOT better) Huel to drink before bed.
Id like to think it's more of a limited amount of time in the day issue to space injections apart from eating, while getting a good sleep, not really a food issue mate.

You suggest one way (all work dependent) yourself - viz pinning as soon as you get in, eating an hour later then bed.

Lev etc make other suggestions.

It feels like as much a free time at work issue as anything. Example, in my last 12 hour shift job lunch could take up to 2 hours as we was supposed to stop and deal with customers if they needed sorting during lunch.

Have you had any issues with sides if you don't leave enough time between jabs and food? If so your other idea of a 5.30pm snack works. I'd try to have something small to eat when I worked that way and then work thru, rush home, smash all the daily BS (laundry, feed cats, etc), eat then crash

You can always trial and error with different meals & test glucose in the morning. Something like chicken or lean beef, a bit of sweet potato, and some veg would be a good option. The fibre in the veg will help with insulin resistance & preventing a big rise in BG. Although some people like myself always get high fasting glucose when using GH irrespective of carb timing, it’s related to cortisol spikes in the morning which tell your body to wake up and prompt the liver to release stored glucose into the bloodstream. Fasted walking in the morning helped me. Metformin is also good in this scenario.

Not that I have noticed, apart from tingly fingers when I titrated up too quickly. What kind of sides would one notice from not leaving enough time between jabs and food ? 🐱

Great advice thank you, on the metformin I do have some on hand, is it best taken at night before my shot or with a meal ? 500mg Ed or eod ?

500mg daily pre-bed will work and shouldn’t interfere too much with digestion. If it does begin to interfere with digestion, I’ve found personally that BPC-157 helps to improves things a lot.

There is no one-size-fits-all, especially with something like growth hormone. It's going to be something you're going to have to experiment with, but it sounds like so far you definitely should try out something new. I've always liked to take it before breakfast and then one more dosage before bed.

Bro, with hgh I think taking it before breakfast is perfect but if you run in too much you can deal with negative side effects. That's something to look out for.

It might not be hungry. It might just be an electrolyte imbalance that can be mixed up a lot by people.

Yea I'm gonna set up a log and will stick to it for a few weeks at night then switch to mornings or split it like you have suggested and see if I can notice any difference. Definitely need to write it down to get a clearer picture thanks.

Sorry haven't figured out the multi quote option yet .
Can you elaborate further on electrolyte imbalance ? And is this any way to monitor that daily or is it only through blood tests ?

You really should get a log up to keep this all in 1 place :D

try drinking some water with a pinch of salt and cream of tartar next time you feel hungry waking up
i bet your 'hunger' goes away. unless you are on some sort of medication or under 3% body fat it is just not possible to you to really be hungry waking up like this. less likely but possible also is you have some sort of food addiction or its become a habitual thing to eat early in the day.

That's interesting I'll try that out thanks.

Yea I will, I'm on site ATM and posting from my fone will do if I get spare time otherwise will do on break 👍
perfect please do :D

Yeah it's not like using anabolics where you have to have a consistent plan. You can start and stop it at your leisure. It's about a pulse.
