Log Day 54

I got a skin temp warning from my whoop strap. My skin temp was elevated 1.4 degrees. Sometimes that means I'm fighting off some kinda sickness.

Slept well last night, got some new wireless sleeping earbuds and so far so good.

Training was tough yesterday because I worked outside in the baking sun all day yesterday. For some reason it was 33 Celsius, 91.5 Fahrenheit, in Toronto and I was working on 14 ft tall pole lights off of 16 ft ladder all day. Didn't want to get off the couch once I got home, but a scoop of pre-workout and 20mg of Anavar fixed that lol.

Recovery is poor today, but understandable given everything I mentioned above. Sucks that the last and hardest week of my mesocycle is landing on a very busy pretty tough work week, but that's how it goes. My body can have a break next week on deload, this week we give everything we got in the tank.

It's because the government inspection process is really tough. Only lab grade high quality stuff passes through the inspections.
I agree. :D @BeMe

Nice job

Log Day 55

I'm late posting this, usually I post first thing in the morning but I had to wake up early to head to work this morning. Worked an 11hr high output day yesterday and got home too late to train. Macros got messed up cuz I didn't get my 3rd meal in. Got home just before dinner time.

Another long day on the tools today and I am wiped out. Going to do the smart thing and take today off. I can make the day up next week easily cuz it's a deload week. Don't have any gas left in the tank for an all out training session. On top of the long hard days out air quality is fucked right now cuz the forest fires burning north of us. There's been a haze on the city the last 3 days and it's gotten progressively worse, peaking today.

Tonight's plan, eat a shit load, rest, and replace my broken clutch cable on my bike. Hopefully I'm decently recovered tomorrow and can give it my all in the gym.

What’s funny is, I have a young lady that works for me, she climbs poles and out works dudes easily, and she power washes hog barns as a side gig. Absolutely revolting. Cows aren’t so bad
I've always thought chickens were the worst. The smells coming out of those factory chicken farms is worse then a dead body... literally.

@Mobster here you go. I gotta do a better job of keeping the camera angle the same. Didn't realize the change in placement was making such a big difference. I have no idea how to take pics.

@BeMe looking good !!! Well proportioned! Posing is a pain for me too. I always end up posing in the kitchen of my office gym because my hometown gym won't let me undress lol and the lightening is always different, angles as well. I wish i could have a posing room with two mirrors facing each other like at Pure Muscle & Fitness in Burlington

Good to hear from you again, been a while. Guess you've been busy rippn up the trails.

Did you end up trying the BPC?

@BeMe I did not have time to try BPC. I wish I had the freedom to hit the trails as much as I usually do but three weeks ago I got a call for duty in Northwest territories that required 10 x 16 hours shifts. That wrecked me. I feel like I am fully recovered now. And I do have time to do whatever I want now 🙈

My joints are feeling better. Everything was cracking and popping after my bulk. Maybe the anavar. And my ankles are healed which helps with cardio ❤️

That's great to hear. Glad you're doing well.

Damn the NWT, that's pretty cool. The big question is tho, were the mosquitoes out yet? I hear they're the size of hummingbirds way up there.

I've always thought chickens were the worst. The smells coming out of those factory chicken farms is worse then a dead body... literally.
Aw man. I don’t even know. I’ve never known I was near a chicken farm. Pigs? I can’t get near it. I can’t breathe hahaha. This chick I’m talking about? She’s like puking and working. She’s has. Really really hot friend helping her too. It’s a spectacle😂

@BeMe thanks boss

It would be a better experience if I actually had the time to enjoy the outdoors while I'm there. All I do is work. I fly in, work, eat, sleep a few hours if I can, repeat for 5-10 days and fly out. Mosquitoes season starts end of April so it was the beginning. I don't really go out to do outdoor activities so I don't really experience it but they are ferocious. You really need to be covered head to toes even during the summer and a head net is absolutely required.

I guess it's true what they say, country girls are built different. I'm too afraid to hire a girl cuz I'm worried I'd slip up and say something offensive and get in trouble. Plus having a girl on site tends to change the dynamic and the boys can't be boys anymore. I live and work in a big city and people are generally really woke where I live

Ya I've heard the stories. I have a few buddies who did the camp life circuit in the NWT working outdoors and they said it was hell. Apparently the beauty of it all gets old fast when you're actually being eaten alive lol.

I always figured you were a finance dude cuz of ur name.

bro you gotta work in texas heat shoveling mule and cow shit all day. it good training though
I'm sure I'd get used to it over time but coming off a Canadian winter these 92 degree high humidity days are rough. Especially wearing my heavy work clothes.

Not sure how much I'd like living somewhere with no seasons. It would be nice for riding but that's about it.

i worked in Texas for years. Love it there. I really have like four ex gfs in Texas, and another that just moved back up here hahaha.

Yeah dude. It’s a hassle. This particular one is an exception. She’s so talented, strong, smart, and hard working that I would just fire a guy most likely if there was an issue. She’s a lesbian who grew up in a Ukrainian orphanage , brought here, and eventually was on the street, missing her chance to probably be a pro soccer player. Genetic freak. I’ve trained maybe 100 guys in the last twenty years. She’s better than any of them, aside from maybe her attitude

Yea that's the other dynamic I worry about hiring a woman. Attitude is big and fighting it out with another dude is whatever. Having a blowout with a woman at work could turn into something much bigger. Guys can scrap and have a beer together a day later but women hold grudges and that shit drags out. On the plus side tho women got something to prove on the job and someone with a chip on their shoulders and something to prove is always going to outwork the next guy

Log Day 56

Taking an extra day off yesterday was the smart move. Finally I'm starting to realize I need to listen to my body now and again and take a break. Recovery is back up again today and feeling well rested. Ready to grind those 0 RIR sets today.

Bloodwork is in and posted below. When the blood was taken I was hitting week 8 on cycle and running 250 test, 200 Primo, 20mg anavar pre workout.

Upped my dosing to 300 test, 250 primo last night.

I was thinking of maybe upping the primo and running 1:1 but I'm gonna add some NPP for the second half of this cycle. Got a consult on Monday and I'm gonna see how we should balance all this out together.

Log Day 57

Didn't quite hit my protein target yesterday. It was my nephew's bday party and the food there wasn't the healthiest. Ate what I could but it was a big chunk of the day and when I got back home there wasn't enough time of space in my stomach to play catch-up. Even the idea of slamming a shake before bed was a no go I was so full lol. I'd rather miss my targets than fulill up on fried or sugary foods.

I decided to prioritize sleep last night because it's been a while since I've done that. Skipped the sauna and sex and went to bed as early as I could, after I couldn't eat anymore for course. My body is thanking me today cuz I feel great and my HRV is coming back up after over a week in the gutter. My mind almost feels clearer as well. Gonna hit it hard in the gym today and go for a ride with my wife, motorcycle ride that is.

Didn't you say you're in South Texas? I remember it snowed in Dallas a couple years ago and it shut the city down and it was only like an inch of snow lol.
I was in Waco for an ice storm once. As soon as the rain froze it was like an invisible hand was swatting cars into the ditch! Everybody was driving like maniacs trying to get home instead of slowing down. Total horror show. We were all from either Chicago or New York, so we worked right through the storm and the following three days while the whole city was completely shut down. I was also in Austin for the storm two years ago. It was just like, broken branches everywhere. Minor cleanup. No big trees really. Half the city was out of power and shut down for like a week. No mail. I really like Texas but their infrastructure is quite brittle

Its funny cuz up here ice storms are the norm. Driving on ice is pretty standard in Canada lol. We got schwacked by a bad one this year tho. Beginning of May at all times. The US lineman finally got a chance to pay us back and they came up to help restore poles and lines. Our lineman end up heading south every year during hurricane season so it was nice to see the guys from Florida come up and return the favour. Oh yea we spell different up here too. Favor is favour, neighbour, behaviour, you get the jist, not a misspell just Canadian lol

Yeah I’ve totally worked with Canadians a bunch of times. There were like 1000 of them where I was for Hurricane Katrina. I was building telephone lines then though. People from all over the world were on that one. Lots of Jamaicans. Ask the fiber optic city builds I’m doing now are swarmed with Eastern Europeans and Russians and all the digging gets done by Central Americans. Lots of work happening

Week 8 Summary

Started week at 250 test, 200 primo, 20 anavar
Bumped up to 300 test, 250 primo, 20 anavar

My bloodwork came in and everything looked alright. No major changes since starting this cycle which means my body is probably responding fairly well to the gear. I'm taking a bit of a cautious approach with this being my first cycle. I have a consult tomorrow to go over my bloodwork in detail and discuss adding in some NPP for the second half of this cycle.

Pretty good week all things considered. Final week in my training cycle and work was crazy so my recovery was smashed. A good sleep last night helped me bounce back and hopefully this upcoming deload week adds to that. A week off the grind feels much needed at this point.

Took a quick shot right after my workout today looking really pumped.

A good training session yesterday. Wasn't able to progress from last week but last week was also a 0 RIR week. I guess it's too be expected when I'm pushing so hard at work and in the gym. My body needs a break. I still have 1 missed day from last week to make up and then it's deload time.

Got my training out of the way early so I could spend the day with my wife. Nice long walk with the dogs and then a long motorcycle ride. Perfect day in my books.

Cheated an had some fries with dinner last night. Only ate half of what came with my meal. Looks like I slept alright so I guess a little bit can't hurt.

No straight sets only for me this mesocycle. I used to use drop sets now and again but favour myoreps more as an intensity technique. I mostly train in higher rep ranges, so myorepping works a bit better for me. The only time I really drop below double digit reps is for big compounds but since I switched to bodybuilding a little over a year ago I don't program in a lot of the big compounds anymore. With the amount of work and training I'm doing right now I try to limit the systemic fatigue I get from the big lifts and focus more on isolations.

Am I wrong in my reasoning? @LevButlerov

If I am please feel free to scold me now lol. I love being wrong and learning from it.

Somehow when a British guy talks about lot lizards it sounds classy
bro mobster not british. he from queen of scots or irish. his people steal my land

But if he is English then yes you're correct, his people did steal your land lol

My other half is Japanese. They tried to steal your land but got nuked for trying so I'd say we're even lol

Oh and I'm Canadian so there's that too. Canada shows love to the Native population. If you lived here you'd be rich. No taxes of any kind, free school, free land, free healthcare, and money from the government every year. My buddy got 80k in the mail last year and he doesn't even know why lol. He's half native but has blue eyes and blonde hair like a Swede

But really tho, Braveheart is the greatest and that movie fires me up too. True story also. William Wallace was the original gangster.

If you feel overloaded, you can avoid the drop sets, but I would at least have 1 per bodypart to shock the muscle. :D @BeMe

Ok I'll add that in on this coming training cycle. If I'm in the first week of training, 3 RIR for eg, would I still run the drop set to total failure to get that shock reaction?

No need total failure, just 1 drop set 20 reps to 4 reps drop.

Log Day 59

Alarm didn't go off for some reason this morning so I didn't have time to update my log.

First dose of NPP last night. I'm starting at 200mg a week to see how it goes. Plus by only doing 100mg biweekly I don't have to pin extra times. Currently 300mg (200mg/ml) test, 250mg (100mg/ml) primo, 200mg NPP (100mg/ml) works out to exactly 3ml biweekly.

I should start feeling the NPP in 2 weeks and I can adjust from there. Probably bump the NPP and primo to 300mg each and pin mid week.

Big thanks to @stevesmi who I hired for a consult yesterday. I'm really looking forward to our next consult already. Great guy to talk to and he's really generous with his time and knowledge. Anyone looking for guidance or a crash course on a compound they're considering should definitely send him a DM. I learned more during our conversation than I would've in weeks of crusing the forum and internet. Thanks Steve!

Thanks Steve!View attachment 97718

@stevesmi is the man! He'll need some cheering up today because our boys lost to the rat Florida Panthers pretty bad last night. Sux especially for him because he has to watch their stupid fans run around and rub it in his face all day long where he lives. Hopefully he landed a big one today and took his mind right off the loss.

You’re really starting to show results now man. I had an experiment with npp, it was my first real injectable anabolic and it filled me out noticeably. I predict you’ll be buying bigger shirts and jeans soon!
Lol that's a problem. I already have what's affectionately known as hockey butt. I have to buy 34 or 36 waist pants but my waist is only like 29. Just have to sinch my pants in with a belt all the time. Sucks at work when I have a bunch of tools in my pocket. I should be wearing 30s but I never found a pair of pants that my butt will fit into and when I try them on I literally can't move. Don't know how women do it.

It was a huge problem for me too. I climbed poles all day with no bucket truck ever for like five years, so even when I was skinny my legs and butt kept a disproportionate amount of muscle. Right away on npp I had to buy jeans as like, an emergency or I was wearing sweatpants to work😂. It wasn’t much either, like 200 mg a week plus hcg. But I was natty before that and had been trying soooo hard to lift more and more for a couple years at that point. Foolishly, I gave away a lot of clothes hahaha.

Bro I know EXACTLY what you mean. I'm climbing ladders all day and I got muscles growing outta the side of my butt now. If I'm standing straight on and flex you can see these scapula shaped muscles bulging like 2 or 3 inches out the side of my ass. It looks crazy weird but I don't wanna post nudes lol.

Avoid anavar cuz I get crazy ass pumps just going up and down an extension ladder. If you're climbing poles the pumps could get you killed for real.

Why don't you use bucket trucks? I'm pretty sure the linesman up here aren't even allowed to climb poles anymore for safety reasons. Everything is a bucket truck or those extension ladders that hook onto the lines.

So I don’t do power. I’m not an electrical lineman. If you ask them, I’m not a line man at all, but that’s whatever. I can build stuff that weighs 8 pounds per foot. I’ve built whole towns with like one or two other people. Cable/telephone lineman. We get hurt more and die less. But I have been shocked by high voltage, and was severely burned and my hand was disgusting for years. You can’t tell anymore. We get away with A LOT more than a non-contractor power lineman. I get a lot of work no one else can/will do. Sometimes I get paid more😂

I do use buckets, I have two of them, but I get a lot of work in rough terrain where it’s just not possible to get anywhere near it. Like 90’ poles way down in a valley, stuff like that.

The company I started with in the nineties basically just hired young dumb dudes and then took all the hardest contracts out there. Rebuilding whole cities lines where like 80% was in the back yards. All climbing. We loved it because all we really had was youth and strength but we really made great money and you could advance really fast. I’m still probably one of the best climbers in the industry, but there’s some lumberjack competitors that would smoke me.

I’ve had hip flexors that look like a bicep ever since my first winter stomping through a foot of snow with ten pounds of boot on each foot lol. You’re getting super lean I’m sure you do look crazy. When you get into growth hormone the vascularity will go berserk. I can’t wait to do a good cycle, I’m just really trying to be patient and do it the best I can. I’ve been kind of abusing myself and using this stuff to wring more performance out of my body and it’s time to rein it in and make sure I’m not harming myself.

Ha. Trust me though where I live nobody cares. I have no clue where these fans came from that go to panthers games. For years only 9k would even show up, they could only sell out if a popular team from up north was playing them and its because half the arena was the other teams fans. Now that they win suddenly people show up. Many of them are obnoxious too. a lot of them drive from across the state and don't even live anywhere close to the arena. we've got rednecks tailgaiting at their games with their big trucks drinking beer. i think its just another excuse for these clowns to get drunk. they don't even know what icing or offsides is but they just like going and partying for 3 hours is all it is. when they start losing again the fans will stop showing up like before trust me.

Wow your job sounds seriously cool. 90' poles ..Geez. no wonder you're in such good shape. I'd imagined you're a lineman like what I'm used to working with here in the city. The stuff you're doing is next level.

You're business is probably booming right now with all the fibre upgrades too right.

Ya for years the hack to watch the Leafs was to go down to a Panthers game. It was less than half the price and you get to go to Florida. Who's even heard of Sunrise Florida if you don't live there or follow hockey lol. Glad to hear you don't have to deal with all the band wagon fans flying flags in your face all day. Hopefully they'll get theirs tomorrow night.

I’m building the backbone fiber of my home town. Getting a few miles a week in. Definitely booming, but honestly I would like to get out of this industry in the next five years. Things will have died down by then and the cable companies and fiber companies are pretty horrible to work with. I got burned for over 100k last year, having only been in business for one year. And that was by a company worth 8 billion. This is common stuff. My old boss got burned for over a million, took over a decade to recover less than half. The stress of this stuff is bad for my health

yeah man that was the idea... its still a small market team, sports isn't a big thing down here. most people who live here don't follow north american sports. they follow international sports like soccer. they can't name a single hockey player
a lot of people who go to football games are just all about partying. they don't even get to their seats till halfway through the game and don't want to sit in the heat to watch a game they don't understand so they leave to go into the AC. not a sports town at all like up north.

That's small business ownership in a nutshell. Work and stress 24/7. It never ends...literally. Your phone is always on and people are always looking to bother you on your time off.

I feel the exact same way. Running this company is definitely killing me slowly, but that's why I try to keep things small. I turn down work constantly because I don't want to expand and try to manage more people and customers. Like you, I'm thinking I got 10 more years of grinding like this in me and I'm out. As long as my investments and the housing market stay consistent I'll be good. Probably just switch to part time working for someone else or maybe start an apprenticeship as a motorcycle mechanic.

Sorry to hear about you getting burned outta 100k. These big fuckers always do that shit to the little guys cuz they get away with it. They'd rather pay their lawyers than their contractors for some reason. Scum bags

Ya Florida has never been known for its sports, but amazing weather an low taxes can really lure in some talent lol. Now both hockey franchises are stacked and Florida is home to the cup more often than not.

I think college sports are still pretty big down there right? I know the gators have a pretty die hard fan base. I'm not a football guy but the gators have a pretty well known legacy even up here in Canada.

Log Day 60

Yesterday was the most insane training session I have ever experienced. I don't know what the cause was, but I had an explosion in progression. Yesterday was my last day of 2 weeks training to failure. My numbers weren't really going up from the week before. Seemed I hit my actual limit. Not yesterday...I was like holy shit what is happening.

Leaning lateral raises +5 reps

Facepulls +2.5lbs and 2 reps

Shoulder Press +5lbs and 1 rep

Hamstring curls +4 reps

Hanging straight leg raises +3 reps

Not sure how to explain it. I was exhausted before training, felt like it was gonna be a bad day. The only thing that changed was my 1st pin of NPP the day before. I bumped my test by 50mgs 5 days ago. Nothing else has changed in my life. Can't really explain these results but man it felt amazing.

Npp will do that at time, you're really blasting hard. @BeMe :D happy to see you grow.

college sports are big FSU and UF. U of Miami used to be big in the day but they haven't been relevant in years so people gave up on them a bit lately.

weather is good from October to early May. from May to september its just miserable. if your AC breaks then you are screwed. hot/humid and miserable from around 9am till 7pm everyday.
also low taxes is a myth. it is true that there is no state income tax. BUT our sales taxes are crazy high and our property taxes are ridiculously crazy to compensate for that. so the tax man will still get you but the tax system punishes the middle class and benefits the rich only. the reason is we have a really dumb system where the longer you stay in your home the lower taxes you pay, but if you sell and buy another house 3 years later you pay 6x the taxes or if you are buying your first home or its a non primary home you pay 12K vs. 2K what your neighbor pays. so if you buy a home here you are going to be paying way more then your neighbor who has been living in their home 20 years cause each year there is a 3% cap on their taxable value IF you stay in your home. it is the dumbest system you can imagine and can't be fixed cause it is in the state constitution. so the problem will get worse and worse. pretty soon people will be paying 25K a year in taxes on a normal home, while their neighbor pays 2-3K.

plus we pay the highest property and car insurance rates in the world. it costs more to insure your home and car then your actual payment.. this is why 33% of people in this place drive around with no car insurance, so the rest of us have to get additional insurance on top of our regular insurance in case i get in an accident and the person who hit me doesn't have insurance. whenever there is a hurricane they are on tv crying that they dont' have homeowners insurance. oh and btw even if you do have homeowners insurance it is LEGAL for the insurance company to deny your claim in this state lol. i kid you not this is true. so many people don't even bother to get it and just take that gamble. I don't carry any myself cause it would cost me around 9K a year to insurance my home. and i get very minimum car insurance so i can afford it. if you are a 20 year old male then heaven help you cause you are looking at 5K a year in car insurance with a huge deductible. i have no clue why anyone would raise a family here and many don't

but yeah if you are a rich athlete i guess it doesn't matter but the middle class here gets completely fucked over. this is why domestic migration is LEAVING FL for other states in every age group aside from 50-70 years old. and its been happening for years. the population growth is from international migration and boomers only. younger people are fleeing out of here in droves. it costs more to live in FL now then it does in LA or NY. except we make far less $$$.

I hear the fishing in Texas is pretty decent..maybe time to move? They have serious fresh water fishing and I know the deep water is good there around the rigs.

Geez it's crazy hearing the truth about Florida. My parents just sold their place in Sarasota last month. They were snow birds for the last decade but they got fed up and came back. Hurricanes, insurance mania, and a nutty HOA drove them away. My dad was always complaining about stuff like you're mentioning but I don't think it was nearly as bad for them as it is for you. Sounds like Florida really punishes the working man and caters to the wealthy or out of towners. A lot of the stuff you mentioned is pure idiocy... Florida has a really great marketing team because up here it's nothing but sunshine and rainbows in Florida. All the boomers dream of going down there...well they did before Trump lol. I can't believe those property and auto insurance tax rules. Where is the logic??? Rental prices are pretty absurd too I'd imagine.

My best friend moved to Florida and he loves it. He never told me any of this. Probably cuz he's always trying to get me to come down lol. He owns a hotel and he had one in Jacksonville in the ghetto and sold to go to Daytona Beach. He told me his insurance was 4x in Daytona compared to Jacksonville and they was 2 years ago. I should ask him how bad it is now and why he never told me all the stuff you just mentioned lol

yes that is what makes no sense. the rents cost more here then LA or NY yet people make nothing. it eats up 80% of your income just in rent. like you said a lot of people i know are moving to cheaper states like texas, NC, GA, NV or interior Cali where its much cheaper. hard to move to a cold weather state after you are used to the heat.

yeah i forgot about the HOA's. there are places where you pay literally 2500$ a month to the HOA lol. we are talking regular townhomes, not rich places. it is to cover unforseen expenses. the problem is usually 50% of HOA goes to insurance since insurance is so high. and everytime a hurricane hits it goes up more. you also have things called special assessments and those suck hard. one place i lived we had to fork over $60K cause the outside of the townhomes had to be brought up to code plus we had to get rid of the termite issue.

another funny thing about FL is how bad our hospitals are. so talk to any old person here and they will tell you to avoid certain hospitals which is something that makes no sense to me. i have a nurse neighbor and she even says if you ever have an emergency avoid this or that hospital. drive the extra hour to go somewhere else. that is bizzare. you would think a freakin hospital would have some sort of standards. and our schools are even worse. i worked as a teacher here and the kids didn't even get their own school books, they had to share in groups.

it is just a really weird state where old people don't give a shit about any quality of life. they just sit in their homes all summer blasting the AC until they die lol it is a complete marketing where they make FL look so nice with disney and all that. the truth is the people who work at disney within miles of the parks live in absolute squalor. it is so poor. they actually made a movie about it called the florida project. but tourists are oblivious to all that

btw I’m waiting for the game tomorrow
who are the 3 rats on the panthers you were telling me about

1. marchand
2. tchachuk (i'm assuming)
who is the 3rd?
That rat piece of shit Bennett. The worst part is all 3 of them are highly skilled guys and if it weren't for their rat like nature I'd respect the shit outta them.

Watch all the little sneak shit Bennett does behind the play. Dick head. Toronto would've beat Florida if Bennet didn't run our number 1 goalie and give him a concussion. Bennet knocked Stolarz out for the rest of the series and our backup sucks. Toronto was owning them up to that point and then Florida basically steam rolled Toronto in the last game.

yeah they all did that to the lightning players. hitting them well after the play and no penalties called. they certainly found a loophole in the playoff system where they can do that shit and get away with it

"Sitting blasting their AC waiting to die" has to be one of the funniest things I've ever heard LMAO. The hate is so real.

From what you've explained it really sounds like Florida has a massive shortfall in the budget and they're trying to make it up off the backs of the working class and cut services to the bone. From the outside looking in that's how it sounds.

The real question is what happens when the old people die and no one wants to move to Florida cuz the truth gets out. All people leaving are definitely spreading the word. It hasn't gotten up here yet but we'd be the last to know cuz Florida the state literally advertises up here with tv commercials and billboards. I've never seen a state advertise until Florida.

But the fishing is unreal so it's quite the dilemma. Florida is by far and away the uncontested fishing capital of the world.

Ya the worst part is they get away with it and then they score. Bennet and Marchand have been on fire these playoffs when they should be living in the box for all the shit they pull

Florida is by far and away the uncontested fishing capital of the world.
so that demographic shift is already happening

in some counties literally 15% of the population only is under 18. ask your parents if they ever saw kids in sarasota like playing in the streets. its very rare. there is ONLY 1 county in the entire state that has a majority population under 18 and that is where there is a huge puerto rican population who love big families.

there literally is no future in this state.. its very similar to what happened in Japan over the past 20 years where there are literally no kids anywhere. the only hope is international migration and more old people moving in to drive population growth.

there were a lot of employers who came to FL and they quickly realized there was nobody to hire. all the young talent is leaving to other states.

yeah the fishing is really good but they are ruining that too with all the building on the coasts and pollution. they just passed a bill allowing roads to contain toxic chemicals that will run off into the lakes and oceans. that won't work out well in the future

Is there anything the government can't ruin...toxic roads near an ocean?!?! I already hated DeSantis just off principal but hearing all these I have more of a reason now. My dad would always go on about what a great guy DeSantis is and I would get in some pretty heated discussions about it. DeSantis just siezes any ideological battle of the moment and peacocks around like he's the great saviour fighting the good fight. Meanwhile he's running the state into the ground. He's almost as bad as Bennet lol

Man it's sad to hear all this. Minus the Hurricanes Florida has everything going for it. Kinda like California in that way. If the government would quit messing it up it could be the greatest place in the world to live. California especially...they have everything there.

This is why I'm just saving up to retire early and move to the interior side of BC. It's kinda like California north and like you described the interior is still beautiful but not crazy expensive. Live far away from everything in the woods where the government has minimal effect on my life.

yeah man the environment is very important to me. it makes me sick what these people are doing. they are also trying to turn our few state parks along the coast into golf courses i kid you not. tiger woods and his pals are planning that. they can't just leave the nature alone

FL has had a problem for years with lake okeechobee. it became a huge ag place with the sugar industry. its a very shallow lake and is prone to flooding. so what they have to do is constantly drain the lake into the ocean when there is a lot of rain or during hurricane season. and the problem is the lake is full of pollution and is basically a big toilet bowl for pesticides and herbicides from the sugar industry

so whenever they dump that water it kills all the wildlife. fish litter the beach dead. its very sad. on those days you won't catch a single fish as they flee to cleaner water.

i don't know where in the world they really do a great job protecting the environment as they should. costa rica used to be that way but even in recent years they have started to ease up on those protections. the sad thing is the same people who are supposed to be the sportsmen are the same ones who vote in these people. that is the big issue

Are you serious..wtf a golf course in a state park!

I used to dream about fishing in Lake Okeechobee when I was a kid. I'd watch shows like the BASS tour, Bill Dance, In Fisherman, Bob Izumi, and all the guys go down there and catch 10lb monsters. It seemed like heaven to me as a kid. It was a dream to fish Okeechobee for Bass, Lake of the Woods for Musky, and the Frasier River for Sturgeon. I've heard there aren't many big Sturgeon left in the Frasier, hopefully Lake of the Woods is still good and maybe I can hit one childhood dream spot.

Ya I take conservation pretty seriously too. I've been catch and release all my life and almost fought people for fishing outta season on our lake.

In Canada our government pretends to care and talks a big game but there's zero enforcement. If you're a Canadian and do something wrong they'll hammer you but if you're a visible minority it's always a slap on the wrist and they know it.

A bunch of Chinese guys drove their Toyota minivan with bald all season tires onto our lake a few years back and got stuck. They came to ask us for help cuz we had ATVs, sleds and winches and I told the guy to let me see what he had in his bucket and we'll get them off the ice. He laughed it off and I said no I'm serious, he wouldn't show me the bucket so we left them.

It's gotten so bad around where I live that they're catching people with nets in the rivers netting carp or salmon and trout on the spawn. They get them on video and the cops do nothing...drives me insane.

Atleast Florida is upfront about their lack of fucks given. Canada loves to pander to the people who care then do nothing they promised or don't bother to enforce the law.
