Hey everyone,

I stumbled across the podcast a couple of weeks ago and have spent most of my driving time listening back to back to the shows.

So about me…

41 year old male
Trained for 20 years
Starting weight approx 126lbs
Current weight 235lb

I would consider myself especially in the beginning of my journey a hard gainer.

I’ve played with different diets and training programmes over the years and also incorporated different PEDs.

Over the last year I’ve been recomping which included 2 cycles before dropping back to TRT, I’m now back on cycle with the goal of how good can I get, can I get potentially stage ready who knows???

If I was to go on stage it’s more of a tick box some thing to show the kids in years to come.

Yes you can actually, you look good, we can diet you down 12 weeks easy.

It's something you can do, stepping on stage is awesome, you're not far from it imho.

Diet, please share foods and meals and when you eat them, macros would be good

my advice is go to a competition. see whats its all about. you might end up liking it or not @JD84
 
Hey thanks for the reply I’m kinda shocked at the comments so thank you.

All of my gear is Viogen branded including the hgh which is a DIY kit. I’ll send pics separately.

I have a AI on hand as always but I’ve never had the issue with aromatising except when I use sus 250 many years ago once I swapped it out for test e I’ve been fine ever since.

Other supplements I use that are more over the counter are

Turamic
Standard multi vitamin supermarket brand

Not so over the counter
Cialis 20mg daily.

Training

My training is based around work and family so in run my own business which does require me to get up at 4am Monday to Friday and because I don’t have set hours as such I train around my finish time providing it doesn’t affect me seeing the kids or wife.

Typically though I do train 4 times a week it’s a standard push pull leg split with day 4 being now extra legs and then what I feel is lagging so triceps biceps etc will get an extra working.

I train at home in a converted shipping container most often with the kids and the wife if I need a spot.

I don’t actually do any cardio outside of what I do whilst at work or taking the dog for a walk and I don’t count that as we have bulldogs and they are not known for their cardio presence 😂

Meals and food,

For years I was of the mindset you need to eat big to get big and considering the weight I started at I was pretty small. I spent years on weight gainer and eating and a few years back while on cycle when wanted to see how big I could get while still malting shape (no abs) I got to just north of 260lbs on 6000 calories a day.

Now for me at the minute because I’m cutting so say, my carbs are cycled

5 full eggs
2 toast

30g whey protein
30g fine oats

Fillet of white fish or tuna topped with hot sauce

Chicken breast with 100g of rice ( no rice on non training days).

Train 30 grams of carbs intra workout

220g rice 2 chicken breast maybe topped with hot sauce or a Thai green curry sauce the wife has made

On non training days the rice above will be swapped for either wraps or a baked potatoe.

500g of yoghurt pre bed


Fluids - limit to 2 cups of coffee in the AM only.

4 litres of water daily.

This is completely self tort so any feedback is much appreciated as I believe you spend your first few years learning how to train m, then you have to learn about nutrition and then your supplements and then you have to make all three work together and it’s bloody hard.

@JD84 this is a good one! strong test dose. maybe a bit too strong. you like 900mgs of test? why not cut that dose in half and add in eq ?

It’s a body max multi station and she is secret love. Along with the power rack, a few x gym pin loaded machines I have.

Bud honestly if you could seen me prior training I looked ill the irony though is before gym you wear a tight t shirt in medium thinking your huge 😂

I have a feeling you, like all of us, just have some body dysmorphia and it really wasn't that bad. If it was, you were probably just missing the food and training you needed to be the guy you are today. Hard gainers are dudes who do everything right, even add peds, and still can't really pack on a lot of muscle...that definitely ain't you bro cuz you are JACKED

Training is going great and I’m now hitting more of a deficit so I expect the weights to slightly decrease so the volume will increase.

Yea but with you it's also your level of activity. I'd be curious to see what would happen if you had a desk job and sat around on the weekends. You look like you have the generics to get big.

Cod looks good. You guys probably get some great fresh Cod too. I'm having cod for dinner tonight but we're in the middle of the country so it's not the same.
 
So I have fine oats in with the shake the logic behind the toast is purely to hold the eggs in as i eat those on the commute to work at an ungodly time of 4am
