What’s up everyone. Figured it was time to officially start a training cycle daily log here on Evolutionary.org. After being on the podcast and getting such a solid response, it made sense to bring everything together in one place and just document the process as it unfolds.

A little background on me. I’ve been a lifelong lifter, ex-military, husband, and father. Up until recently I was an over-the-road truck driver trying to balance business, family, and training while pushing toward my first bodybuilding show. Like a lot of people, life threw a curveball. I wrecked the truck, that chapter closed, and instead of forcing something that wasn’t lining up anymore, we made the decision to move our family to Belize.

Now we’re here. Fresh start. Training is consistent again, stress is coming down, and the routine is getting locked in. I’m pushing into a new growth phase with the goal of stepping on stage around April. This log is going to cover the real side of it all! training, diet, recovery, mindset, adjustments, and what it actually looks like to stay consistent while life is changing fast.

Outside the gym, we’re building a life here. We’re in the process of developing land, planning our house build over the next few months, starting a homestead, and homeschooling the kids. They’re thriving, loving the environment, and adapting faster than I ever expected. It’s been a reminder that success isn’t just about what happens on stage, but about building something solid for your family too.

This log will be posted here and on Elite Fitness as well. Nothing polished, no highlight reel. Just showing the day-to-day execution of chasing a bodybuilding goal while building a new life from the ground up.

Appreciate everyone who’s already shown support. Ask questions, follow along, and let’s get to work.

@liftedlivingwithlegacy certainly a great podcast. It should be out pretty soon. You give some great info on it. It's a good listen for those who are interested in living abroad.

Very curious to see your home because that sounds really cool. @liftedlivingwithlegacy hopefully the kids really enjoy it as well. I know that moving is a big deal.

Did some chest today, doubling up on chest and legs right now because shit has to grow. Focus was lower to mid chest, medium volume, just putting quality work in and getting a nasty pump.

Chest workout
Incline DB Press 4x10–12
Flat DB Press 4x8–10 with pause
Decline Machine Press 3x12–15
Low Cable Fly 4x15–20
Pushups 3 sets to failure

Super excited about the next few months. I’ve got a meeting with a school here in the city to potentially set up a workout program through the gym. Landed my first official personal training client and we’re already running a bootcamp with some girls in town who have real clout. Once that ball gets rolling the rest will follow, that’s how it works here.

Worth mentioning my first official client isn’t just anybody. She competed in Miss Universe representing Belize, owns a resort here, and is very well known and respected locally. We absolutely knocked it out of the park. That alone is going to open a lot of doors and I already know more is coming.

Our vehicle finally arrived in Belize, should clear customs Monday, and residency gets finalized on the 28th. Once I’m officially a resident I’ll set up the LLC for the real estate company and start positioning to sell properties.

This country has a ton of opportunity but I’m moving with a help first mindset. We’re planning a two day community based youth grappling fundamentals clinic. There’s nothing for these kids to do here and having a base in BJJ is non negotiable for my household. My son loves it, there’s no BJJ here, so I’m bringing it. The plan is to have it backed by the government, which is why we’re starting with the kids. News and media will be there filming the entire thing.

The last two years were chaotic and miserable at times and probably took a few years off my life. I don’t take losses, I learn lessons, but wrecking the truck had me at my lowest questioning everything. Seeing things finally line up now and watching these opportunities unfold is hard to even put into words.

Anabolics stay unchanged. Feeling good, loving the look since adding DHB, hardened me up with little to no sides. Bloodwork end of January.

Bro you look great! Welcome to EVO and thanks for hopping on here!

But... did someone say DHB? I ran this for the first time ever this past summer and it's something else for sure. I won't again though. I'm content with my EQ converting downstream to some DHB.

Can we see your full cycle with doses? If you posted it I missed it.

Nice base there man your chest and delts are crazy, gotta get some calf work in there though
Appreciate that brother. Chest and delts have always responded well, but you’re 100% right on legs. This growth phase is leg-driven for me. Quads, hammies, glutes, and calves are getting pushed hard right now. I’m building the base to match the upper and that means legs take priority, no shortcuts. Calves included. @Dreamer

@liftedlivingwithlegacy certainly a great podcast. It should be out pretty soon. You give some great info on it. It's a good listen for those who are interested in living abroad.
Appreciate that a lot Steve, seriously. It was an honor being on with you and Mobster. The conversation flowed naturally and I’m glad the info came across clear, especially for guys thinking about living abroad or making a big life shift. Looking forward to getting it out there and continuing to document everything here as it unfolds. Thanks again for having me on. @stevesmi

yes man one day i could take that leap. it was a great eye opener

You look like an absolute tank. I'm really looking forward to following this log. I remember your log from Elite Fitness as well. @liftedlivingwithlegacy
Appreciate that bro, means a lot coming from you. Glad to see some familiar faces from EF over here too. This log is gonna be real life + real work, no fluff. Locked in and just getting started, stay tuned. @2Thick

For sure, it was a big move, but it wasn’t brand new for them. We actually spent about a year here a couple years back getting our residency handled, so Belize already feels familiar. They’ve slipped back into the rhythm fast and are loving it! being outside, staying active, and just living a different pace of life. It’s been a solid transition for the whole family. @ROIDDERS

That's awesome that you were on the podcast. I'm definitely going to be going on the podcast as well pretty soon. It's a great opportunity to share knowledge and really help other people get the most out of their time. @liftedlivingwithlegacy
Yeah man, for sure. It was one of those things you never really think will happen until it does. Growing up, this wasn’t even a thing like it is now, no podcasts, no platforms like this! so being able to hop on one at 40 and actually share real experiences is wild. Definitely grateful for the opportunity, and I’m looking forward to hearing your episode too. It’s cool seeing how much value can come from just telling your story and helping others along the way. @Ulter

yeah i hope to come on and talk about my wifes unfortunately accident/death and how i overcame that

Great looking physique bro. I think you'll do really well at that show! Look forward to following along on the journey

Is that your garage gym? Iike the epoxy floors. Good for keeping things clean. Got a full gym in there?
Thanks man! No, that’s the full gym. It’s small but it has a solid old-school feel to it, which I actually like. We’re going to make it work. Only things it’s really missing are a leg extension and a safety squat bar, both of which I plan on adding. I’m actually in talks about partnering up with the gym owner, so we’ll be slowly upgrading it over time! @BeMe

Nice bro. I had some time to read through some of your log. Pretty cool all the different stuff you're doing down there.

Sounds like you're making a lot of positive changes for the people of your city.

Why did you choose Belize? Are you in finance?

I actually dated a Chinese girl from Belize up here in Canada years ago. Sounds like a great place the way she described it.

That is an awesome looking house. May I ask the price range of a house like that over there in Belize? And may I ask how much property taxes and insurance you have to pay and all that? What are your expenses total maybe on a house like that? Because something like that in America would probably cost almost a million in a nice area.
Also, is it pretty quiet? Your neighbors, do they make a lot of noise and play parties and stuff? That's something I noticed a lot when I was traveling to Mexico.

@liftedlivingwithlegacy glad to see you’re starting a log up big guy. Can’t wait to see how it goes.

Rest day today. Took the day to prep and set the week up the right way instead of forcing training just for the sake of it. Got all the cooking done, made a batch of bagels for breakfasts and knocked out some banana bread donuts that’ll be perfect for pre-workout carbs. Way easier to stay consistent when the food is already handled and ready to go. Energy is good, appetite is solid, and everything is lined up to hit the coming week hard.

Now more than ever mate moving the fam bam away from the city life and bringing them up on some land and away from the education system/ technology/ dogma is probably a really good idea.

I wanna do the same with my girls as well. Did you end up making it to the stage? Or are you still on your way to one?

Appreciate that, man. I’m right there with you on pulling the family away from the noise and giving them space to grow without all the constant pressure of tech and dogma. It’s been a huge shift already, in a good way.

I haven’t made it to the stage yet, but I’m on the way. They do have Mr. Belize here and now that I’m officially a resident I’m eligible to compete. Looking like April, so everything we’re doing right now is lining up toward that. Staying consistent, building the base, and letting it unfold the right way.
@R.AP

It really depends on location, access, and finishes, but in general you’re looking anywhere from roughly $85 to $150+ per square foot down here. That can move up or down depending on whether you’re beachfront, inland, or more rural, and how custom you go with the build.

I’m still finalizing my residency on the 28th, so I don’t have a locked-in breakdown yet on taxes and insurance. Once that’s complete and we break ground on our own place over the next month or so, I’ll have exact numbers and will share them as things come together.

As far as noise and lifestyle, it’s very area-dependent. Where we are it’s quiet, laid back, and more family-oriented. Definitely not the constant party vibe you’ll see in some tourist-heavy areas. That was a big factor for us choosing where to settle.

I’ll have a lot more concrete details soon once we’re officially building and everything is on paper.

Appreciate that, man. A big part of choosing Belize was family, we’ve got some here already! The fact that it’s an ex-British colony, so English is the primary language. That made the transition a lot smoother for the kids and day-to-day life.

Another huge factor is that it’s still largely untouched. It’s not westernized yet, no big commercial chains, no fast-food culture everywhere. Most food is made fresh daily, locally sourced, and organic by default. The pace of life is different, in a good way.

I’m not in finance. I’m in construction,I’m a builder. Short term, we’re building our own house. We also have acreage that’s being developed into a subdivision, and we’re looking at possibly acquiring another 50 acres to develop as well.

2026 is shaping up to be a big year for us. @BeMe

Sounds amazing. Same way my ex described it 20+ years ago. Tropical paradise. Glad to here it's remained un touched and sounds like a great place to raise a family.

I'm in construction too, need an electrician down there?? Lol. I wonder how the building codes relate to where you're from. I bet you're going to building the nicest houses there.

🦵 Workout
Squat 3x25 225
Single-Leg Press 3x10
Leg Extensions 4x 25
Hamstring Curls 3x20
Lying Back Extensions 3 x 1-minute holds

Legs felt really good today. Got all three sets in at 225 for 25 reps and it absolutely smoked me. Threw up mid-workout which is usually the sign I pushed it exactly where it needed to be.

📝Notes
Food has been a little tougher out here just because everything is clean and I’m burning through calories fast in the heat. Rice, fish, and chicken are going down easy but the scale is moving faster than I’d like. Adjustments coming.

Car still hasn’t arrived yet which honestly sucks since all the kids’ presents are in it. We’re probably going to do two Christmases and just roll with it. Not ideal but we’ll make it special regardless.

Hopefully we start building the house next month. That’s the next big chapter and I’ll keep everyone posted as things move forward.

🎄 Merry Christmas

🦵 Workout Yesterday
Back
Flat Bar Cable Rows 4 x 12–15
Single-Arm Lat Pulldowns 3 x 20
Single-Arm Cable Rows 4 x 10 (Heavy)
Barbell Rows 3 x 8
Hyperextensions 4 x 1-minute holds

🍽 Nutrition
Meals are going down good. Started incorporating fresh corn tortillas we picked up yesterday. Bought 30 for about $1.25 US. Four tortillas comes out to roughly 80 g carbs. They were refreshing, light on digestion, and go down easy. This is going to be a solid carb option moving forward.

⚖️ Weight
209 fasted this morning. Still pushing food hard trying to climb back toward 225. Clean food out here is moving through me fast, so there’s definitely an adjustment period happening.

📝 Notes
Easy day today. Planning to relax and take the kids to one of the resorts so they can swim and just enjoy the day. Weather finally cleared up after weeks of rain, so we’re taking advantage of it.

We’ve got clients locked in for early next year with bootcamp style training to start feeding people into the gym. Outside of building my house, the immediate focus is growing the gym now that I’m partnered with the owner. The clients coming in are well-known locally, so if the system works like planned, the next move is targeting employer insurance policies to cover memberships. That’s a win for the client and a big win for us as owners since we can set rates that actually make sense long term.

Everyone have a great day.

Mate, awesome. No doubt we'll see updates as you go. I'll be following. I'm on stage here in Aus myself in April as well for the National Championships.
Hell yeah man, that’s badass. I’ll be following along and just gave you a follow as well. Nationals is no joke, go handle business.

This is exactly why I love the bodybuilding community. Different countries, same grind, same obsession with getting better. Let’s push each other, stay locked in, and keep raising the bar. Fucking get after it 💪🔥 @R.AP

Crazy back brother , also listened to your pod yesterday - great listen.

Hit shoulders and arms yesterday, absolute fire session. Pumps were ridiculous and I’m definitely feeling it today. That deep soreness that lets you know the work was done right.

Standing Lat Raise 4x15
4ways 4x10reps
Bent Over Delt Fly 4x15-20
Straight bar Curls 3x12
single arm Db Curls 4x12
Cable Curls 2 x10 heavyFailure
Triceps Kickbacks 3x12
Rope pushdown 4x15
Diamond PU 3 Failure

Spent some time at the beach for lunch and evening before training. A good friend from the States came into town to stay for a bit, so we linked up, caught up, and just enjoyed being outside. That balance is hard to beat right now.

We’re getting the kids set up for half days at school starting Monday. It gives them time to meet local kids, build friendships, and burn off some energy, while still allowing me to keep structure with our homeschool curriculum when they’re home. Best of both worlds, social growth and intentional education.

Trained my first two clients here and both sessions went great. One of them is fully locked in,already wrote out everything she ate and did. That level of commitment makes coaching easy and results inevitable.

Handled some admin early today dealing with the trucking business back in the States, moving things over to Texas, getting paperwork signed, and finalizing the Disabled Veteran identifier. Slowly closing old chapters.

Things are moving steady. Boot camp kicks off at the beginning of January and we already have five or six girls locked in. That’ll help build momentum at the gym and create a solid foundation moving forward.

Making a small adjustment on the gear side as well. Pulling a few things back to let receptors calm down, keeping it simple with test cyp 60mg, mast 40-60mg and 6ius GH for now daily. Letting bloodwork guide the next steps and possibly running EQ quietly in the background. Saving some firepower for the show mid next year. Still running Peptide Stack!

Everything’s coming together piece by piece. Staying patient, staying consistent, and trusting the process.

Great job on the podcast bro. Loved hearing your story. The fishing on the dock with your son really hit home. Some of my favourite childhood memories are fishing with my dad. Happy you're getting to spend more time with your family now.

Looking really good on this, man. I like the tricep kickbacks and rope pushdowns. @liftedlivingwithlegacy this is a great workout strategy. You're not going to go wrong with it.

@liftedlivingwithlegacy Bros, that's cool that you got some clients. Are they local or are they people from other countries as well?

The progress is impressive, my friend. Good luck in the New Year! :)

This is good. Balance is key
I think it's probably the only thing to consider with home school hey is the social and emotional development that our kiddos experience. I'm not a fan of the curriculum and modern education but it plays its part hey

It does and there isn’t a bunch of homeschooling programs setup here in belize that we can link up with! So this will give that time outside of the house! @R.AP

nd with me being home and not on the road 20 days out the month it’s allowing them to calm back down and u can definitely see the difference in them now that Dad is home and not tryin to discipline and set a standard through the phone! @Mobster

@liftedlivingwithlegacy seems like you got a lot done, man. That's the thing that makes things worthwhile when you really have a productive day. It's nothing better than that.
I bought a timer i list out what needs to be taken care of for the day set th timer depending on time projected needed and don’t stop till timer goes off! It’s starting to help so often i catch myself doing things on the phone and doom scrolling out of habit! Setting a daily structure and eliminating my feelings from the equation has started to help majorly! FEELINGS ARE LIARS AND SHIULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO DICTATE WETHER YOU GET SHIT ACCOMPLISHED! @stevesmi

yeah a lot of self made CEO's do that sort of thing in the business world

Did chest yesterday and it was a solid session.
Cable chest flyes 4x15
Incline bench 4x20
Flat dumbbell press 3x12–15
Low to high cable flyes 3x20 to finish and really flood the chest

Good day overall. Planning and structure are finally coming together and meals are actually going down easy again. Morning shake is back in now that I finally got a container of protein powder that was in my car, one of the drivers grabbed it for me. Breakfast has been flour tortillas, lunch corn tortillas, dinner rice with ground beef. Simple, digestible, consistent. Still waiting on the rest of my vehicle to clear customs, all my other gear, supplements, and ancillaries are in there, but making it work with what I’ve got.

Gear is getting simplified. Dropping most compounds and just running test around 60 mg daily with mast E about 50 mg daily. Body feels good, stress coming down, and I want to see what bloods look like staying cleaner for a bit.

Vitals are solid. Blood pressure sitting around 118/72 and fasted blood sugar was 89 this morning. Exactly where I want them.

Training a client tomorrow morning at 6:30, so fasted cardio will start at 6 AM walking the beach before that. Consistency is the priority now. Gym partner is doing great too, he’s one of my clients and it’s been huge having someone there to push and be pushed.

Headed out to the islands today, picked up a project management role on a build at Coco Plum. Going to grab photos and video while we’re out there and share some of it later.

Stopped at the store yesterday and grabbed some steaks. Funny enough, I was asked on the podcast what a good steak costs out here. Picked up a 1-inch, 16 oz sirloin for $9 USD. Hard to beat that. @stevesmi @Mobster

Got a lil carried away with the house plans! But this is what the design we have for now! probably come off about 1000sqft make it more like 2800-3000 then 4000sqft!

Slowly but surely everything’s lining up.

The floor plans look sick. I love when houses wrap around an outdoor living space like that. Having the kids all the way on the other side of the house is good at night lol.

I noticed the panic room. Is that a common thing in Belize?

Not necessarily a common thing and nor is it “Panic Room” so technically it’s on the design but not the legal print that will be stamped. so it doubles as panic/gun case as rules here a little a little strict on the gun laws! pluseas thinking maybe section off a bit of as a fun room for wife and i. might hang her ass from the ceiling and who knows how it will go! hahaha

Had a really good day overall. Got up and knocked out fasted cardio first thing. Trained two clients in the morning and ran my first women’s boot camp class today. Had five women show up and it was a legit workout. Everyone left breathing heavy and fired up, which felt good. Solid turnout and a good start. Still managed and got my workout in tonight!

Also got out to Coco Plum Resort on Manta Island this past weekend, to check it out. Absolutely beautiful spot and the hospitality was unreal, treated us like family from the moment we arrived. Really cool experience getting eyes on the island and seeing what’s being built out there. Definitely one of those moments where you step back and appreciate where life’s at right now.

Putting together a bid for our first official build down here, which is wild to say. It’s a mini putt-putt course on Coco Plum Island. Never thought I’d be saying that a year ago.

Still waiting on the vehicle to clear the border. Going on almost three weeks now and all my ancillaries and gear are in there, which is frustrating, but it is what it is.

Just going to keep moving forward one day at a time. Training, building, filming content, and actually enjoying life while doing it.
