acne tips

Just curious what you guys do about acne. I've never had a problem with acne before. I use soap and water, acne creams, and witch hazel twice a day but nothing seems to help. Any tips?

On your face or on your shoulder and back. I have never had acne problems but I started getting a few blemishes from Test on my shoulder - got a loofah and get some sun - it clears up. Just keep it clean - keep your face clean keep your hands away from your face. Don't seek medication most are just poison. Also there is a way to clear black heads and white heads that don't involve popping them and using clean gloves - its all about clean - look up some facial techniques. I get plenty of sun so my face is always clear. Maybe its just me though.

salt water in the ocean or baths will help with the skin

I don't have acne issues either but guys that do swear by tanning

acne is increased with DHT increases. that's why teens have it and dudes who juice will have it flare up. so if you don't want acne keep your dosages low and avoid DHT deriv's

I keep estrogen controlled, maintain a healthy clean diet (big one right here), tan regularly, and pay close attention to hygiene

tanning is the on thing i recommend... you start getting into retinol etc. and you end up encountering more problems than good half the time... all that shit is so dangerous with hair and acne unless its a more natural product... it may not be as strong but it still mitigates and that's better than adding more issue to the problem

I think finding the right soap and having the right hardess/softness of water can make a difference. For me, Irish Spring just works better than anything else, not sure why. Let the soap sit on the skin for at least 20-30 seconds to work or you may choose to wait 60 seconds and see if that amount of time causes further drying of the skins oils without overdoing it.

Sometimes a sauna can make things worse for a few days, but then clear everything up. Go look on Pinterest for a DIY coffee bean scrub (ground coffee, sugar, honey, oil, cinnamon) and you can use it to help exfoliate and open the pores while you are in the sauna, then go out after maybe 5-10 mins and shower it off. You may want to use a soap to dry up and remove any excess oil though.

But I do also live very close to the ocean in FL, so Im getting sun and the salt water fairly often which also help.

Tanning helps for me, I can definitely notice a difference. Also acne lotion helps a lot but it certainly drys your skin out, even more when paired with tanning.

Proper diagnosis and estro control, sensitvite to dht's-if u r avoid them. Blood work my friend.

I have a script for finesteride and was just reading how it helps with acne due to the stopping of dht..wonder how much of this is true

Irish Spring works wonders for me ad well. The reason I believe it works for me is because it dries the hell out of my skin. Before switching soap i had breakouts on my face, shoulders, upper arms, back and chest and now I only have the occasional breakout on my face and back

Change your sheets and pillow cases daily. .I buy cheap sets at Wal mart...10% benzoyl creams work in moderation. .also use fish oil. . Nordic Naturals is what I use and a good probiotic. This has completely resolved my bad skin.

Get a good face wash, and use face lotion. Alot of guys wash their face, but dont apply any lotion after

lot of tips for acne just depends on how bad
I was fortunate (or unfortunate) to have had accutane when it was still available through my doctor..not sure its still available and only would consider if the acne is severe
I had an issue and the roids just exacerbated the condition
thing cleared up all present and future acne
there are some topical creams such as retin a that can help
I did find that proactiv worked on some mild acne during cycles believe it or not

1) tanning
2) increase water intake
3) bathe more
4) eat better.

Mine is chest back and shoulders. I will give the tanning bed a shot. Good tip. Thanks guys

Make sure your estradiol is in check , I've tried tanning , soaps , cremes , scrubs , zinc , selenium , some people the DHT produced is too much , I take accutane 20mg ED and experience no sides and acne is cleared up in about 2 weeks , you can try all the things suggested as I would advise that and I did try 20 different things to no avail , and my acne was embarrassing so I took what some would recommend as a last resort , but I'm fine acne is gone and no side effects from the accutane

Accutane is the most effective agent I've ever used for acne. I was on it when the FDA was doing clinical trials in 1998/99, did 2 rounds of 4 months each...I don't remember the dosage I was on. I never got clinically "depressed", but was certainly "down" most days. The real danger is to your liver, among other things. Accutane is believed to be hepatotoxic. It took me almost a full year for my liver enzymes to get back to normal after stopping my last treatment. If you're not having any sides from the Accutane, good on you, but be careful and DEFINITELY monitor your liver enzymes and lipids at least monthly. Accutane can most definitely fuck you up, that's why it was never approved by the FDA and is illegal in the U.S. Matter of fact, I think there may have been a class action lawsuit against the manufacturer (Roche) a few years ago.

Anyway, if you want use Accutane, read up first, know the risks, and be careful. It's wildly effective, but you may regret using it for an extended period of time. Just my 2 cents.

Accutane was approved by the FDA in 1983 , in 2009 Roche quit manufacturing it saying it was an economic decision due to generic brands being sold and taking over , although it was mostly due to adverse reports and lawsuits , accutane was always over prescribed , doses started at 50mg and went as high as 120mg , I'm dosing at 20mg , i have done extensive research on the drug and believe it to be no more negative at my dosing protocol than any other drug I put into my body , I do agree that is has it's share of demons but as I stated I have yet to experience any

Get some 20% salicylic gel. Leave it on the area for about 2 minutes and wash it off. You can do this once every 3-4 days if your skin isnt completely dry. Its the same ingredient in most newer acne lotions but at like 1%...extra stength is 2%. Its also used to remove warts so be careful with 20%...it will chemically burn you if you arent careful.
