Approved Log First Cycle - Training diet Journal

First log here so not exactly sure how to format it but gonna try to make it as similar as I can to other and provide as much detail as possible. One thing is (even long before starting this cycle) I live a very nuanced lifestyle in terms of training, diet and recovery so I wont update my log daily but weekly since the meals, amount of sleep and training doesn't change and I live by it very strictly (even the diet im about to list below I have strictly followed for around a year and a half now with maybe under 5 cheat meals or skipped days since then).

21yr male, 5'10, 140lb (around 12% last checked, pretty lean can follow veins from my bicep to shoulders across the chest to the other shoulder and arm).

In terms of eating for breakfast I have 6 eggs with one or two whole farm potatoes boiled. I have three meals split throughout the day, full pan of lean beef, with two whole farm potatoes and broccoli (boiled and steamed). I then have two mass gainer shakes one in the morning and one in the evening (1100 cal, 56g protein, 293g carb). I only drink water or diet coke if im craving something "sugary". If i get hungry during the day at any point between meals I usually have 3-4 eggs as a quick snack. I try to eat as much as possible but minimum this amount per day.

In terms of training I am currently following the classic Arnold split with the addition of abs and traps on the leg days.
Chest/back - Chest3x8 machine chest flys 3x8 wide grip lat pull down3x10 machine incline press 3x10 Flat bench press 3x10 decline cable flys 3x12 wide grip lat pull down 3x12 seated cable row 3x12 T-bar rows 3x12 dumbbell rows 3x12 barbell bent-over rows
Arms/Shoulders- 3x10 dumbbell overhead press3x10 lateral raise machine 3x10 alternating dumbbell front raise 3x10 rear delt machine flys 3x10 incline dumbbell flys 3x10 alternating dumbbell curls 3x10 cable tricep push down 3x10 machine preacher curl 3x10 dumbbell tricep extension
Legs/abs/traps 3x10 leg press 3x10 leg extension 3x10 hamstring curl 3x10 calf raises 3x15 shrugs 3xF planks 3x30 Russian twists 3x12 hanging knee raise 3x25 crunches

In terms of lifestyle I get minimum 7hrs of sleep a night (this is probably the hardest part to stay disciplined with lol), spend majority of the day on my feet between work and college classes. I dont smoke or drink (maybe once or twice a month on occasion) but I do vape however, I refrain from vaping at least 30mins before meals to maintain my hunger to finish meals.

Now getting to my cycle. I am running 500mg/wk test e with pins Mondays 8am and Thursdays 8pm and 50mg Anavar ed (haven't started yet starting only for the last 6 weeks of the cycle). The entire cycle is 18wks and I am currently in the midst of week 8 with my last pin for this week tmrw. I will be using nolva for my pct since I dont want to commit to trt after only my first cycle. I have 12.5mg asin onhand but haven't used any since I don't want to dose preventively and risk crashing my E2 just waiting till i start seeing signs of sides.

Getting to the current stuff. Being around half way through my cycle now I am definitely looking fuller and have increased my strengths on lifts (detailed log on that will be added too) and have put on roughly 7lbs to date. In terms of sides I havent experienced any besides the to be expected acne around week 3 which was fully gone around week 4-5. At this point in mid week 8 I noticed breakouts of acne on my back and shoulders which since youth I was very prone to (if didnt weekly wash my sheets or shower twice a day) but still nothing more than what I have gotten naturally which is why I was having a hard time telling if it was from high E2 or just happening like it does every 2 or 3 months. In terms of gyno no spicy of puffy nips and no masses under or around the nipple. The thing is I have never gotten acne on my biceps before (nothing crazy less than 10 spots between both arms) but this is a telltale sign to me that its from the cycle since week 3 i only got the acne on my biceps. With the acne breakout on my back and the new 2-3 spots on my biceps i believe its from the cycle so I will be starting asin twice a week at 12.5mg from tmrw. Other E2 sides maybe maybe lethargy but nothing extreme but enough that I can notice it.

One question I have tho is do you guys think it is better to just run the asin till the end of cycle or taper off once the acne clears up.

While I dont like younger guys under 25 on steroids, you're already an adult and you're on cycle, nothing we can do now.
You look good in the pics with a strong muscle base and you are lean and ripped at that weight and age. :D

You are already on cycle now so this is the time to dial in harder and you need to push more food in if you want real cycle returns.
Post 2 weeks of detailed foods macros and full training so we can tighten things up properly. Because right now I'm not seeing much protein there, you should be over 300 protein and over 600 carbs for your size maybe 700.

That's some serious progress you've made so far given how skinny you were! Your back in particular looks awesome.

Agree with the others re upping food. You're going to have to not be scared of doing so and realise it is key to progress. If you don't eat to grow you basically sabotage your progress.

You look good in the pics with a strong muscle base and you are lean and ripped at that weight and age. :D

You are already on cycle now so this is the time to dial in harder and you need to push more food in if you want real cycle returns.
Post 2 weeks of detailed foods macros and full training so we can tighten things up properly. Because right now I'm not seeing much protein there, you should be over 300 protein and over 600 carbs for your size maybe 700.

First to start, yeah I understand and know the concern/stigma with using steroids at my age but I wanted to be completely honest on here and deciding to hop on gear isnt something I did on a whim, just this cycle I planned and read into everything id need to know for the better part of a year before actually ordering my gear and starting the cycle so deciding to use PEDS is a choice I have put alot of time and thought into and I also do not take it lightly (in terms of possible risk to my health etc) at all.

In regards to the comments about my diet, thanks to all the bros who left a comment I appreciate the advice and help alot, I have quite literally doubled the amount im eating now and will log it for the 2 weeks to post here to see how things go. I have no issue with being less lean and bulking up, I already wish I was eating this much for the last 7 weeks on cycle.
To give a more detail to the "lean beef" amount I am eating for my three meals the actual amount measures out to be around 500-600g.
So currently I am eating 5-6 meals of 400-600g lean beef with two whole potatoes chopped up.
10 egg breakfast and 10 egg afternoon snack
4 mass gainer shakes throughout the day (1100 cal, 293g carbs, 56g protein per shake).


If you guys feel I got to up it more than this or something to add in gladly will take notes.
In terms of supps I take daily 28mg iron (for anemia) and 2000mg fish oil, and vitamin C, b12 and folic acid. I have couple things like NAC, milk thistle, glutamine etc on hand but dont use it at all really. N2 guard aswell but waiting till I add the anavar.

I will come back and update my log with the eating and updates etc.

Interesting youd be anemic with that much beef, have you had bloods done or just guessing?
Fish oil you could go harder - its great at high doses for inflammation and lipids - plus there is alot of data about omega 3 and longevity

Whats your total caloric intake and macros?

In terms of sides I havent experienced any besides the to be expected acne around week 3 which was fully gone around week 4-5. At this point in mid week 8 I noticed breakouts of acne on my back and shoulders which since youth I was very prone to (if didnt weekly wash my sheets or shower twice a day) but still nothing more than what I have gotten naturally from a bad breakout which is why I was having a hard time telling if it was from high E2 or just happening like it does every 2 or 3 months. In terms of gyno no spicy of puffy nips and no masses under or around the nipple. The thing is I have never gotten acne on my biceps before (nothing crazy less than 10 spots between both arms) but this is a telltale sign to me that its from the cycle since week 3 i only got the acne on my biceps. With the acne breakout on my back and the new 2-3 spots on my biceps i believe its from the cycle so I will be starting asin twice a week at 12.5mg from tmrw. No other sides correlating with high or low E2 besides some possible lethargy and joint stiffness around same time as the breakout but those r completely gone as of the last 1-2 weeks so I dont consider them to be from the cycle.

One question I have tho is do you guys think it is better to just run the asin till the end of cycle or taper off once the acne clears up.

With how my diet and lifestyle has changed over the last 2 years I find myself not taking my iron for sometimes a month on end and dont feel related symptoms so I would assume yeah the beef content is helping with that. Fish oil noted going to bump it up to 3000 for now.

About my caloric intake and macros I will do the math to get the exact numbers for what i listed above but I also want to get into really properly tracking what im eating daily to make sure I am in a surplus and where I want to be when averaged over the week. Any good apps or ways you guys recommend?

Acne is DHT not e2, dont just take an AI - get bloods to assess your e2 I am currently dealing with low e2 from thinking I knew better - I dont 😂. it sucks man.

I have never had acne on or off cycle fortunately but you can use certain meds to control it

Ok interesting good to know. Yeah I know bloods are the only way to properly dial in how I am managing my E2 and definitely dont want to risk crashing my E2 and wait for it to creep back up rest of the cycle.

ok great will check out Cronometer. Yeah i had my diet set at basically 1/2 of what I most previously listed above but hearing what everyone here said just recently changed it and bumped the amounts up.

Good start pushing the food :D @GhostofSparta I'm not going to go into the "dont do this or that" you are over 18 so lets get this done.

when you update us keep it simple with your daily weight, what you ate with real macros, and the exact weights you trained so we can track progress since you are already on cycle.

Protein is fine from the beef and eggs but you need more protein and more carbs, way more carbs in this.

make sure to have n2guard as you bring in anavar but I'd like to see more info about anemia.

Don't worry about the age. The 1st time I did any steroids, I had a bit less than 6 years of training under me and was 22 years old. my diet wasn't the best but it was okay.
My cycle was a modest 500mg of sustanon every week for 6 weeks then off for 3 weeks and then again sust for 6 weeks.
I had a specific goal I was taking it for once achieved, i did my PCT and got off. But that was me. Make sure to get all the blood work done and keep checking your health.

What I think would help everyone here is for you to log your meals and post them, try to be as accurate as you can. You can always eye ball and say I am gonna cook this 200 grams of beef and eat it, since it looks like it's 200 grams, but if you aren't' good at eyeballing, get a scale, it was the best $20 I invested in my diet.
I would also second what Lev said, you should post the exact workout you do, including reps and weights on here. I just type my workout in my messages in between my sets and send it all to myself - best and most efficient way to track workout and you won't have to carry a notebook around.

Also, @LevButlerov don't you think he should go on Protein powder, rather than mass gainer? maybe something like SYNTHA6 since it's not super lean protein and he will save money on the serving size compared to mass gainer and can boost his carbs from natural foods and dairy? (I think nothing beats milk + eggs + bread for a well balanced carbs and protein and fat load up in the morning). And maybe in your protein shake, you can just add fruits and blend them, that's your carbs and antioxidants without having to spend a ton on lil mass gainer servings?

Coming back to update my Log on the last week of my Test and anavar cycle (up roughly 25lbs) and some future questions.
If anyone has any questions Id be happy to answer them about how the cycle went etc.
Ran 500mg test e for 18weeks with 50mg ED of anavar for the last 6 weeks.
Great results (will throw up pictures) in terms of both size (123lb->147lb) and strength (atleast 40lbs on bench and 15lbs on curls).
Really enjoyed my experience, although I didnt come back here to update my journal daily I did track my macros and everything else daily so I have all my stats throughout the cycle.
Average day of eating fell between the range of these numbers on the daily from the same 10ish meal options (fat intake is not actually like that, in that pic was a one time thing lmao).
Overall amazing, put on some good lean mass and gained strength, as for sides I experienced virtually none besides possible acne flare up on my back couple weeks in but was all good when i started asin 12.5mg around half way through the cycle.
Gonna throw some pictures of my macros and current physique (see older post for other pics).

Moving Forwards:
Every part of this cycle was what I was expecting it to be, I did my research and I didnt go into it expecting to turn into jay cutler off of one test only cycle but kept my diet and training dialed in from the beginning and made what I would say were pretty good results.
Originally I wanted to PCT after this due to some other factors but knowing that I 110% will run again soon as possible I want to blast/cruise rather than PCT for the next 2-3yrs I will be using gear.
So now atm I am on the last week (last pin on thurs) of a 18 week cycle running 500mg test e with anavar at the end.
What are your guys opinions about how to go about this?
what would you recommend as a cruising dose? and for how long till I can run atleast 500 test again? (I genuinely would love to just do 500 year round, I wish).
For my next cycle I was looking to do most likely 500test again with another one of the basic injectables (like primo if I can find any) and maybe a oral like Var again.
Ideally I want shortest time possible on a cruise/trt dose before going back to a "Blast."
Also wondering lets say if I was doing 250mg/week on a cruise what r ur guys thoughts on adding a mild compound in during that phase?
Last but not least if i was to trt is it recommended to keep taking my 12.5mg asin on pin days the way I have on cycle?
Everything I have onhand at the moment:
-maybe 3-5 more pins of test e
-couple days worth of 50mg ED anavar
-12.5mg aromasin
-20 mg Nolvadex

You used the "/" and said "cruise/trt" so if you mean these are interchangeable to you then 250mg is not TRT and TRT shouldn't require an AI.

Would you be interested in starting a new log and updating say, once a week with diet/training and how you're feeling along with getting some bloodwork done? You won't regret it bro this is what we do here and I'd love to you the most out of your next cycle. You're at a young age where if you really pay attention to detail you'll amplify the results dramatically by being on EVO consistently vs. doing it yourself or using other avenues.

As for the diet screenshot I just used photos I already had in my camera roll but besides that high fat content that one day my daily macros would be within 5% of those numbers daily
-Ok thanks good to know, Yeah when it comes to ped usage and mitigating sides and taking care of my health etc Ive done alot of research but not as much into the path of trt and everything with it.

Well then this is great I'm glad to see you upped our calories and it shows in your pics. At your age your body will use up all those proteins and carbs easily.

What you can do is figure all that here with us (not alone nor with AI/Tik Tok/Reddit etc) and we can do all that on this log here before you start a fresh one with a new plan.

As for getting bloodwork done and posting it here I also would. My only issue really with bloodwork is finding somewhere or a lab to get it done. If any of u guys have any pointers for canada/alberta would be great.

Last thing is really I have given it alot of thought over the last year and know this is what I want to im not worried about the commitment but mainly the smaller things I may miss or not know. So what would you/youguys say a good protocol is generally as in the dose and time on/off (as much as you can until bloodwork) just so I can get a idea
Give us a really detailed breakdown of your current stats. Height, weight, bodyfat % and your specific goals. Ideally we should get bloodwork before we start your next cycle and then we can do up a good protocol for you based on your individual stats and bloodwork.

If you're not worried about the commitment then let's let this last blast work it's way through some half lives to get you to a baseline Test level (and e2 estrogen level) and we'll do a hormone panel bloodwork (we can tell you what to ask for) and then go from there. Once you're near baseline in about 3-4 weeks we can start on TRT until you're ready to blast.

We won't need to talk dosing just yet until bloodwork is done. Don't worry we'll make this one really count.

Let us know if you need more help getting bloodwork in your area. Might cost you a few bucks but well worth it. (ie: well under $200)
 
First log here so not exactly sure how to format it but gonna try to make it as similar as I can to other and provide as much detail as possible. One thing is (even long before starting this cycle) I live a very nuanced lifestyle in terms of training, diet and recovery so I wont update my log daily but weekly since the meals, amount of sleep and training doesn't change and I live by it very strictly (even the diet im about to list below I have strictly followed for around a year and a half now with maybe under 5 cheat meals or skipped days since then).

21yr male, 5'10, 140lb (around 12% last checked, pretty lean can follow veins from my bicep to shoulders across the chest to the other shoulder and arm).

In terms of eating for breakfast I have 6 eggs with one or two whole farm potatoes boiled. I have three meals split throughout the day, full pan of lean beef, with two whole farm potatoes and broccoli (boiled and steamed). I then have two mass gainer shakes one in the morning and one in the evening (1100 cal, 56g protein, 293g carb). I only drink water or diet coke if im craving something "sugary". If i get hungry during the day at any point between meals I usually have 3-4 eggs as a quick snack. I try to eat as much as possible but minimum this amount per day.

In terms of training I am currently following the classic Arnold split with the addition of abs and traps on the leg days.
Chest/back - Chest3x8 machine chest flys 3x8 wide grip lat pull down3x10 machine incline press 3x10 Flat bench press 3x10 decline cable flys 3x12 wide grip lat pull down 3x12 seated cable row 3x12 T-bar rows 3x12 dumbbell rows 3x12 barbell bent-over rows
Arms/Shoulders- 3x10 dumbbell overhead press3x10 lateral raise machine 3x10 alternating dumbbell front raise 3x10 rear delt machine flys 3x10 incline dumbbell flys 3x10 alternating dumbbell curls 3x10 cable tricep push down 3x10 machine preacher curl 3x10 dumbbell tricep extension
Legs/abs/traps 3x10 leg press 3x10 leg extension 3x10 hamstring curl 3x10 calf raises 3x15 shrugs 3xF planks 3x30 Russian twists 3x12 hanging knee raise 3x25 crunches

In terms of lifestyle I get minimum 7hrs of sleep a night (this is probably the hardest part to stay disciplined with lol), spend majority of the day on my feet between work and college classes. I dont smoke or drink (maybe once or twice a month on occasion) but I do vape however, I refrain from vaping at least 30mins before meals to maintain my hunger to finish meals.

Now getting to my cycle. I am running 500mg/wk test e with pins Mondays 8am and Thursdays 8pm and 50mg Anavar ed (haven't started yet starting only for the last 6 weeks of the cycle). The entire cycle is 18wks and I am currently in the midst of week 8 with my last pin for this week tmrw. I will be using nolva for my pct since I dont want to commit to trt after only my first cycle. I have 12.5mg asin onhand but haven't used any since I don't want to dose preventively and risk crashing my E2 just waiting till i start seeing signs of sides.

Getting to the current stuff. Being around half way through my cycle now I am definitely looking fuller and have increased my strengths on lifts (detailed log on that will be added too) and have put on roughly 7lbs to date. In terms of sides I havent experienced any besides the to be expected acne around week 3 which was fully gone around week 4-5. At this point in mid week 8 I noticed breakouts of acne on my back and shoulders which since youth I was very prone to (if didnt weekly wash my sheets or shower twice a day) but still nothing more than what I have gotten naturally which is why I was having a hard time telling if it was from high E2 or just happening like it does every 2 or 3 months. In terms of gyno no spicy of puffy nips and no masses under or around the nipple. The thing is I have never gotten acne on my biceps before (nothing crazy less than 10 spots between both arms) but this is a telltale sign to me that its from the cycle since week 3 i only got the acne on my biceps. With the acne breakout on my back and the new 2-3 spots on my biceps i believe its from the cycle so I will be starting asin twice a week at 12.5mg from tmrw. Other E2 sides maybe maybe lethargy but nothing extreme but enough that I can notice it.

One question I have tho is do you guys think it is better to just run the asin till the end of cycle or taper off once the acne clears up.

If any questions or tips for my logs I will gladly take any criticism, thanks Evo fam!

Re. your e2, if this is your first cycle you won't need the dose of test you're on at the moment to see a significant amount of progress that you are, especially if nutrition and training are dialed in.

Easy fix here is lower your dose, 250, 300mg test, increase injection frequency to daily and you might find you don't need the asin at all.

Coming back to update my Log on the last week of my Test and anavar cycle (up roughly 25lbs) and some future questions.
If anyone has any questions Id be happy to answer them about how the cycle went etc.
Ran 500mg test e for 18weeks with 50mg ED of anavar for the last 6 weeks.
Great results (will throw up pictures) in terms of both size (123lb->147lb) and strength (atleast 40lbs on bench and 15lbs on curls).
Really enjoyed my experience, although I didnt come back here to update my journal daily I did track my macros and everything else daily so I have all my stats throughout the cycle.
Average day of eating fell between the range of these numbers on the daily from the same 10ish meal options (fat intake is not actually like that, in that pic was a one time thing lmao).
Overall amazing, put on some good lean mass and gained strength, as for sides I experienced virtually none besides possible acne flare up on my back couple weeks in but was all good when i started asin 12.5mg around half way through the cycle.
Gonna throw some pictures of my macros and current physique (see older post for other pics).

Moving Forwards:
Every part of this cycle was what I was expecting it to be, I did my research and I didnt go into it expecting to turn into jay cutler off of one test only cycle but kept my diet and training dialed in from the beginning and made what I would say were pretty good results.
Originally I wanted to PCT after this due to some other factors but knowing that I 110% will run again soon as possible I want to blast/cruise rather than PCT for the next 2-3yrs I will be using gear.
So now atm I am on the last week (last pin on thurs) of a 18 week cycle running 500mg test e with anavar at the end.
What are your guys opinions about how to go about this?
what would you recommend as a cruising dose? and for how long till I can run atleast 500 test again? (I genuinely would love to just do 500 year round, I wish).
For my next cycle I was looking to do most likely 500test again with another one of the basic injectables (like primo if I can find any) and maybe a oral like Var again.
Ideally I want shortest time possible on a cruise/trt dose before going back to a "Blast."
Also wondering lets say if I was doing 250mg/week on a cruise what r ur guys thoughts on adding a mild compound in during that phase?
Last but not least if i was to trt is it recommended to keep taking my 12.5mg asin on pin days the way I have on cycle?
Everything I have onhand at the moment:
-maybe 3-5 more pins of test e
-couple days worth of 50mg ED anavar
-12.5mg aromasin
-20 mg Nolvadex
-all the health supps for respective compounds taken and just general supps (N2 guard etc)
Your macros are good and you look good :D @GhostofSparta but i cant suggest any cycels and I dont think we should until you start updating at least 2 weeks steady, otherwise its guess work
i see 1 day diet and 1 day pics, its just not reasonable to tell you to use x or Y gear
 
Well then this is great I'm glad to see you upped our calories and it shows in your pics. At your age your body will use up all those proteins and carbs easily.


Fair enough bro glad you finished up College it's important to stay focused on that when it's crunch time. How did it go in the end? What degree did you end up with and did you enjoy the ride? Any hot Professors LOL?


What you can do is figure all that here with us (not alone nor with AI/Tik Tok/Reddit etc) and we can do all that on this log here before you start a fresh one with a new plan.

-Yeah this is my last semester and im gonna be done in April so excited for that since school is the #1 thing rn taking time from the gym hahahha, the ride was amazing especially the ease of being surrounded by 100s of girls in the dorms when i was there hahahhaha and Im taking mechanical engineering fyi. As for professors not too many hot ones but enough to make some classes distracting lmao.

-Ok awesome im looking into the threads about blood work now and getting that ready for when its time. So with my last pin tomorrow I should wait around 3 weeks then have my bloods taken then to see where my baseline levels r at but in that meantime stop the test and aromasin completely right?

Ok good to know, Yeah i choose to run 500 for my first basically considering that there isnt as big a difference between 300-500 vs less than 300 or more than 500 and was the most recommended dose for the standard first time test only cycle, appreciate it man

I understand it depends on the person but it’s such a weak compound IMO I don’t really see anyone benefiting off using it. Might as well just run testosterone only. Or do an actual cycle with a secondary compound. Not tryna be negative brotha. Just giving my opinion.💯
