Approved Log DHT gel for beard growth Log

I’m not willing to wait 10 more years for a nice beard that I might not even get naturally. The way I see it just based on looking at other people and knowing them over time, if you don’t get at least signs of a good beard at my age, then you’re going to struggle later as well.

Again, my diet is pretty sporadic. I do eat meat like chicken often but we just don’t happen to have it right now. I have meat in sandwiches as well. But also, carbs are good before a workout for energy. Dairy is estrogenic but it has protein.
@IdkBruh well you want a beard right? high estrogen is not good to grow one, thats why I said estrogenic.

Yep, we just got eggs yesterday, I had some this morning. Again, I actually eat eggs pretty much every day for breakfast, but I was caught in a bad time with this log when we just happened to run out of eggs lol.
but what else you eat? to get the hair you need meat
dht or test alone not enough

you saying you want to slam testosterone for some face hair?

not seeing a lack of facial hair have you tried shaving maybe I'll grow back thicker
That’s a myth, unfortunately it’s not that easy.

And I would definitely call it a lack in facial hair. If you look like a creep rather than a Viking with more than a month of growth, then it’s definitely a lack. I will say that I think I do have the genetic potential because I’m not baby faced though, so there’s definitely potential for a Viking beard.

Estrogen doesn’t have an effect. There’s plenty of high estrogen men with good facial hair. And yes I do eat meat, like I said typically in sandwiches, but I also eat just straight chicken pretty often like I did yesterday.

I don’t want testosterone, I already have good testosterone and testosterone doesn’t necessarily increase facial hair, I want DHT and I want it localized on my face. I definitely don’t want to slam it though, I just want a light supplementation and I will play the long game.

Log update 4/3/24 & 4/4/24

4/3/24
Woke up 8:00 AM

Breakfast:
Ate 2 pieces of toast for carbs (typically eat eggs but we ran out)
Some cheese for a bit of protein

Workout:
Right after breakfast
6 continuous pull-ups. 2 more sets of 3 pull-ups between other reps. (Yes I know, kinda weak)

4 sets bench press
25s (on both sides) for 12 reps for warm up
35s for 10 reps
40s for 8 reps
45s for 4 reps.

4 sets incline bench press
20 lb dumbbells for 12 reps
30 lb for 10 reps
40 lb for 6 reps
50 lb could only get one

p.s. I’ve been able to do a bit more weight/reps for all of these workouts in the past, but since I’m not as consistent right now, it’s lower. Plus, the weather has been bad lately so that contributed to some tiredness.

Immediate post-workout lunch:

A sandwich with ham and cheese.
I usually do a protein shake but I didn’t for some reason this day

Lunch:
A cup of Chobani yogurt
A banana

Dinner time:
5 or so pierogis

4/4/24

Didn’t sleep too well, probably from academic stress. Fell asleep around 2 am or so and woke up at 7 am.

No workout, have an earlier class.

Breakfast:
Just toast again, still out of eggs :(
Some cheese for protein again
Coffee with honey and milk

Lunch:
Chobani yogurt
Like 15 or so grapes

Dinner:
More pierogis (6 or 7) lol. Don’t typically eat these often btw, but we have them so I eat them.

Now attached are highly censored images of my facial hair with about 3 or 4 weeks of growth. As you can see, I do have some facial hair with some decent coverage so I seem to at least have some genetic potential for a nice beard, but right now it’s way too sparse for my liking, and I don’t have any hair on the frontal chin part. By the way, I feel like the lighting in the room I took these pictures in actually do my facial hair some favors by making it look darker, but in most lighting situations, most of the hair is pretty light and barely visible with the exception of my mustache and chin hair.
@IdkBruh Diet will play a major role.........

@IdkBruh of course estrogen has an impact on everything , including hair growth bro

testosterone converts to DHT so thats normal if you have high test to have high hair growth
anyway if you dont think your current diet has an impact thats wrong, because if it was working you'd have a lot of hair

Log update 4/5/24-4/7/24

4/5/24

Woke up about 8 AM

Breakfast:

2 eggs
Coffee

Lunch:

Chicken breast
a few slices of peppers
A little bit of cheese

Workout:

Bench press
25s for warmup - 12 reps
35s - 10 reps
45s - 6 reps (I really need to get this back up to at least 10 like before)
45s again, was fatigued - like 4 reps

Leg press machine
My legs are also very untrained atm
35s - 12 reps
40s - 10 reps
45s - 8 reps

Some back row machine thing
For some reason I don’t remember the weights, but I did like 3 sets of it

Shoulder press (dumbbells)
20 lbs - 12 reps
30 lbs - 8 reps
40 lbs - 6 reps
50 lbs - barely 1 rep

Had a protein shake after.

Hung out with friends so I went to sleep a bit late around midnight

4/6/24

Woke up 8 AM

Breakfast:
2 eggs
Banana

Lunch:
Made myself a breakfast sandwich with fried bacon, eggs, a bit of cheese, sriracha mayo all on a toasted croissant. Was really good.

Afternoon:
Some dried mango pieces (some added sugars)

Went to sleep around 11 PM.

4/7/24

Breakfast:
Eggs
I’ll admit I had like 1 piece of chocolate (dark)

Lunch:
Salmon
Broccoli
Rice
A salad with tomatoes and onions

Went to sleep around 11 PM.

Attached are a few more censored pictures of my current level of facial hair (again, about a month or so of growth). I took them in a bathroom at my university to emphasize how my facial hair appears way more sparse in most places, due to different lighting. The light in my bathroom where I took my previous pics do my facial hair way more favors and makes it look thicker than it really is (and even then, is really not that thick imo). But the lighting in most other places like the university bathroom is more common from what I can see.

@IdkBruh Diet will play a major role.........
Perhaps, but not to the point where a Viking beard will poof out of nowhere with a better diet. For that, I’ll need much more support than just a better diet. I went on a paleo diet for about 3 months about a year ago with no visible change in facial hair. Besides, my current diet really isn’t that bad considering the average diet. It could be much worse. And for many, even with facial hair, it is worse. And that’s because facial hair is dependent on mostly different processes.

Estrogen has little to no direct effect as far as im aware though I may have to do more research on it. I just know there’s plenty of high estrogen males that can still get good beards (i.e. soy boys). And testosterone does not necessarily mean more DHT. The level of DHT in your body is dependent on the amount of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase you have. Remember, I don’t think I have a testosterone problem. I have a deep voice and a more or less wide frame. I suspect the only problem is that I lack the enzyme. If that’s not the issue then I have have low androgen receptor sensitivity, at least in my face.

@IdkBruh you have a testosterone conversion issue, and, yes, estrogen would play a role in this. The activity of the aromatase enzyme plays on DHT conversion is not studied enough.

Here I wrote this just for you, you can see my other writing in my signature:

Mechanisms of High Estrogen Impacting Hair Growth

  • Hormonal Imbalance: High levels of estrogen can disrupt the hormonal balance between estrogen and testosterone. Since body and facial hair growth in men is heavily dependent on androgens like testosterone and DHT, an increase in estrogen can indirectly lead to a decrease in the relative levels of these androgens, reducing hair growth in areas typically influenced by them.
  • Estrogen's Effect on Hair Follicles: While estrogen can prolong the anagen phase of hair follicles on the scalp, its effect on body and facial hair is less straightforward. High levels of estrogen might not directly inhibit hair growth in these areas but could contribute to a hormonal environment that favors less dominant hair growth characteristics, like finer or slower-growing hair.
  • Conversion to DHT: Estrogen can influence the activity of enzymes involved in the conversion of testosterone to DHT, such as 5-alpha reductase. High levels of estrogen might alter this conversion process, leading to lower levels of DHT, a key hormone in promoting the growth of body and facial hair.

Either way, if you refuse to do proper training diet updates it's very difficult to understand your overall problems in the Log. You're already here right? might as well update us with more details that I'm not regularly seeing in this log. It would help me understand you more honestly if I saw more about you.

This could just be your genetics and it won't change no matter what you toss at it, I've run a few cycles and while body hair did growth in more nothing happened to my face or facial hair growth or structure.

By we I think he meant mummy. As in 'mummy hasn't been to the shops'.

I'm more than happy for him to have my facial hair. Heck my head hair too. It's a pain shaving

So much of what hair does (as in thickness on the face) is genetic. Baldness aka 'male pattern baldness' is equally divided among men and women (although you'd never know that based on ads and articles). Finally, as here, isn't it funny how both facial and head hair are no big deal for those who, like me, find it tedious shaving vs those who are convinced they NEED hair to get a girl etc. As in just having head hair or not having any (and anywhere in between) plays on their mind.
