Did you look into curing your own biltong? You should. It takes no power and if you found another sale like that all you’d need it some type of vinagre based marinade and some screen to keep the bugs off of it and a little airflow maybe. And you’d be curing delicious meat in your mobile dwelling unit.

Nah I atcually learnt that word from you the other week, I've not heard of it. I have done wilderness smoking and stuff before but ground beef is usually as processed as I get it.

But now you put it like that I'm pretty interested 😉 I'll have a look onto it. I'm really into self-sufficiency stuff and that was the point of having the rainforest cabin in Australia, but I fucked that up. Had mushrooms growing inside there too which could work in my van and I had a smoker made from old lockers in my back shed. Should at least get some indoor plants for air quality. I'm into gorilla gardening and have planted fruit trees in tons of cities and have a couple of patches from last year still. Getting out first spring days now so I will be getting into more of that sort of stuff soon :)

What’s hunting like in New Zealand? A non thing? You’re only eating shakes? I went fishing in Mexico with my cousin, we just waded into the rocks and pulled out old snagged lines. Then he wrapped the line around an old Tecate beer can, and casted it off the can with various bait. Corn. Worms, caught minnows. We caught a big ass carp with just garbage.

Where I live, if I were sneaky, I could poach geese, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, and more. Pretty easily. I don’t think I could get a deer without getting caught. Not anywhere near me. Too many people. Deer are too big. Possibly I could go by boat up where no one goes and get them through the swamps and get it home.

Look up “gill net”. You could be earning passive fish while you sleep or workout. Tide pools to trap fish are also pretty baller but you’d have to time it well so the predator birds don’t get your lunch.
 
Fuck yeah that sounds awesome! I do know Pete do this around here.. I used to park next to one of the boat ramps into the harbour and talked to a few and thought it was a pretry sweet idea. If you look up Wellington on Google Maps or similar the whole city is based around the harbour/ocean. Catching your own protein would be such an awesome lifestyle 😀

Sorry bro I missed this message yesterday. I am locking in and feeling good about it. I got another 5lbs tub of whey and restocked eggs yesterday so all is going according to plan woth the egg-shakes. And day 6 above 400g :)

Eggs do make it more complete compared to just powder, the fats and micros carry value beyond the protein count.
I absolutely agree. I will do some more research into the contents but they have all the ingredients for 20 little chickens so should be able to grow my biceps a little :)

Pretty much training every day, even on days I don't lift I go and do cardio and have high step count but I'm playing around with my program schedule at the moment, gonna try some version of 3 on 1 off, like push pull legs or a more basic upper and lower split. Sort of just making it by trying it out and changing what's not working. Getting the two squat sessions in consistently is one of my current goals 😀

Day 35: Dole Day Re-Up
fruit, fish & egg-shakes

Dole day in New Zealand, not as commercially fruitful as pension day if you're not in the horse racing or liquor industries but I got in line with tradition and blew it all within the hour.

You may notice those are 18 packs and I have been getting 20. The fact they were from the NZ equivalent of Walmart (execpt I think Walmart sells food and this place traditionally does not) did not sit well with me. But atcually they were all out of the trays when I went and I need a reliable egg merchant I just decided to pay more for good eggs and have two less a day.

So these are $15 for 18 but I know where this companies farm is and the chickens are outside eating gass and insects too I guess, so the end resilt for me is going to be better.

They are not from a factory or one of those barns where they stack chickens they've loaded with steriods to the point they can't walk on top of each other until more than 50% of the bottom row are dead, usually about 5 high.

Retatrutide made me stop caring about rapidly approaching financial problems, as I know I can just not eat. I'm already walking everywhere instead of fixing my car.

I didn't eat half of Sunday, all of Monday and until just after 6pm yesterday where over two hours I ate 5 bananas and 5 apples and half an expensive can of Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon. I'm not even gonna pretend I'm a hippy anymore, I'm just eating imported shit in plain view. I'd be interested if you can beat me for "food miles" now haha. Alaska is a long fucking way away from New Zealand.

I also got more Magnesium and 1500mg Fish Oil pills to replace the rotting stuff. I didn't want to post a picture of that incase someone told me to stop but now you may as well see. I have an iron gut from basically living outside for the past 4 years so I wouldn't get any ideas that you could get away with it 😂

Made a bad call on changing flavors of whey and I'm gonna scrap that idea. I got another 5lbs tub of Optimum Nutrition Gold but this time Cookies and Cream flavor and it atcually had bits of shit floating in it like the ice cream flavour does. I honestly didn't see that coming. Who is this targeted at? What type of people need this? I will stick to the banana if I can't figure out what normal whey is.

I think at the same time as getting the flavor added its being processed into instantiated powder and that's why it's mixing up so well for me, if I change the whole foundation of my egg empire will be shaking before I even get a forum badge out of it 😐

That eating binge was a bad idea, too much water in apples and I just had a bloated stomach I was nursing for an hour and it felt like my body "took me down" so I could process all that food, an hour before I was excited about going to the Nautilus gym and trying squats again with the feedback from yesterday but instead was fast asleep before 9pm... I'll try again today.

Those eggs look like a good call, paying a bit more for free range where you know the farm beats the factory stacked stuff any day. Even if you’re eating less on retatrutide, at least what you do get in has better quality behind it. Though stay in your budget please.

The salmon and fruit binge after two days off food makes sense why it sat heavy, that much water and fiber at once will shut anyone down. Better to spread it smaller even if it’s just eggs and fruit spaced through the day. With GLP1s smaller meals are better.

Supps are fine with fish oil and magnesium swapped in, and yeah stick to the whey flavor that actually works for you, cookies and cream with chunks isn’t worth it. Banana whey is a safe staple to build on top of the egg shakes. Chocolate maybe also?

That stairmaster you found is a gem, hit that steady and it’ll carry over into your squats when you get back in the Nautilus.

Nah you're all good brother! I really appreciate the guidance you give me - been quite a lot of trial and error over the past few weeks to land on this plan but it's leveling out really nicely =)

This is very true.. that's the third time I've done it now, bit of a slow learner 😄 I was always a fast eater but I wasn't particularly trying this time, I wasn't staving waiting to finally binge or anything, I could have easily not eaten but I had like two apples on the way home, then tried a banana in a shake, then two hours later I'd had too much and had to go to bed haha. Retatrutide is awesome 😀

That’s exactly how it hits, you don’t even feel hungry but once you start eating it’s easy to push past what you actually need. Retatrutide makes it so you’re satisfied on way less, so the trick is pacing and not letting small snacks stack up. Apples and banana aren’t bad choices at all, just watch the timing so it doesn’t all pile into one window. The good thing is you’re already noticing it and adjusting, that awareness is what will keep the fat loss moving steady. :D

Oh hunting is how we control invasive species like possums, deer, goats, and some other animals like turkey and peacock. Basically where I live it's common but he's in the capital he'd have to go to the nearby mountains with a bow or crossbow oh don't forget he could also get a gun one in outside of normal channels seeing as firearms can be tricky here. If he knows any hunters he could trade for meat. But he fishing is pretty easy where he is if he finds the right spots

A roadblock for me lately has been charging my watch, it only has a usb-c cable and I didn't have any plugs with those ports but today I bought one and the watch is back to 100% charged so got my continuous heart rate monitoring and sleep data back as of a few hours ago.

I made myself at home in the bathrooms at the gym and plugged in my blender and watch and all my other shit to charge

Then back to the fancy Nautilus gym for my high rep squat leg day. I'll do the heavy day in the big gym where there's Hammer Strength and Strartrack gear but for bar squats I've come to like the new setup in the corner of the new gym

I took feedback on board and tried to adjust my grip and stance, used a weight plate to put my heels on again.

My Swedish friends advice to point my elbows down worked too, my grip and control of the bar feels much better and more stable now. The bar has grooves on it and I was putting my hands over the outside line, now changed to inside, I put my hands where I've highlighted:

I don't quite get everything that's happening here but thanks for that bro, definitely given me something new to think about and figure out.

That’s a solid log, good to see you dialing in the setup with the bar, hand placement and elbows down making a big difference in stability. High rep bar squats will gas anyone, even just with the bar, and the fact you pushed through all those sets then still hit extensions shows you’re building both strength and discipline.
Shakes have your protein intake stacked high, so recovery is covered, and with the watch back online you’ll get the data to match the work. Massage chair finish after that many squats was earned. :D

Thanks bro 😀 it really is cool, I hate taking my cellphone to the gym. It's cool typing my workouts directly into the log entry thread when I lift but I go several times a day to the gym, I separate cardio and lifting into different sessions and go sometimes just to use the bathrooms/powerpoints/massage chairs so being able to take nothing and just wear my watch and wireless headphones sometimes and still be able to listen to the podcast is sweet 😀

Haha yeah, just to be clear the watch is only for step count and listening to Evo.. I'm not taking a sudden interest in the time of day or anything 😀
 
Testosterone Injection Therapy
Day 37: 404g Protien, Upper Workout

I had a banana in my 5-egg whey shake this morning, and an apple two hours prior to coming to the gym. I can still feel it sitting in my stomach, might aim for three hours next time, new reta rule. But otherwise it was another day on the shakes and damn they are growing on me.

Not only is the banana flavor addictive like vape juice but the 5 eggs give it a smooth texture and so much extra nutrition I atcually feel more vitalised an hour or so after, I'm sure it's the eggs. 5 raw eggs 4 times a day is a treat to my body, it's accepting them with open arms.

I think back to how awful I felt a couple of hours after a two family-sized blocks of chocolate binge and how I kept doing that over and over despite it making me feel bad and fat seems ridiculous now. I mean it did then too but now more so.

We should ingest things that make us feel better, that's our bodies way of telling us it's getting what it needs. Our sense of taste doesn't serve us well in the modern age and has been hijacked and exploited by corporations to make us eat cardboard and be happy about it.

Made the first shake of the day as the sun streamed in and warmed the van up and guided the tip of my needle smoothly into my ass. It had a banana in addition to the eggs:

Had a pretty quiet day, after my 6000 step walk to the pharmacy this walk I had a long shower at the gym while my phone charged then read Muscle Mechanics program design sections and listened to relevant podcast episodes and chipping away at the shakes.

Today at the gym I didn't have a strict plan but wanted to do upper body with Nautilus machines at the fancy gym and then use the massage rollers and vibrating ball things to have a good go at my legs. Usually takes two days to gets DOMS in from my leg days but I feel those bar squats from last night already so want to try see if I can help along recovery with the massage chair routine and some roller work.

Day 37: 404g Protien, Upper Workout

I had a banana in my 5-egg whey shake this morning, and an apple two hours prior to coming to the gym. I can still feel it sitting in my stomach, might aim for three hours next time, new reta rule. But otherwise it was another day on the shakes and damn they are growing on me.

Not only is the banana flavor addictive like vape juice but the 5 eggs give it a smooth texture and so much extra nutrition I atcually feel more vitalised an hour or so after, I'm sure it's the eggs. 5 raw eggs 4 times a day is a treat to my body, it's accepting them with open arms.

I think back to how awful I felt a couple of hours after a two family-sized blocks of chocolate binge and how I kept doing that over and over despite it making me feel bad and fat seems ridiculous now. I mean it did then too but now more so.

We should ingest things that make us feel better, that's our bodies way of telling us it's getting what it needs. Our sense of taste doesn't serve us well in the modern age and has been hijacked and exploited by corporations to make us eat cardboard and be happy about it.

Made the first shake of the day as the sun streamed in and warmed the van up and guided the tip of my needle smoothly into my ass. It had a banana in addition to the eggs:

Day 35: Shots, Shakes & Squats
slow and steady

A roadblock for me lately has been charging my watch, it only has a usb-c cable and I didn't have any plugs with those ports but today I bought one and the watch is back to 100% charged so got my continuous heart rate monitoring and sleep data back as of a few hours ago.

I made myself at home in the bathrooms at the gym and plugged in my blender and watch and all my other shit to charge

I got a new waterproof pencil case to keep my log book and pen in so it doesnt get ruined like my last one too

I took feedback on board and tried to adjust my grip and stance, used a weight plate to put my heels on again.

My Swedish friends advice to point my elbows down worked too, my grip and control of the bar feels much better and more stable now. The bar has grooves on it and I was putting my hands over the outside line, now changed to inside, I put my hands where I've highlighted:

I also tried what I think @toddthelineman was saying to not unload the movement, instead of going all the way down and then go back up in a second movement, I go almost all the way down and back up in what feels move like one movement. I don't quite get everything that's happening here but thanks for that bro, definitely given me something new to think about and figure out.

Thanks bro 😀 it really is cool, I hate taking my cellphone to the gym. It's cool typing my workouts directly into the log entry thread when I lift but I go several times a day to the gym, I separate cardio and lifting into different sessions and go sometimes just to use the bathrooms/powerpoints/massage chairs so being able to take nothing and just wear my watch and wireless headphones sometimes and still be able to listen to the podcast is sweet 😀

That's not a bad idea bro, I'll have a look around. Quite likely atcually. What really got me about the thing in America with washing the protective layer off eggs is the shelf life is pretty incredible. Like I had trays of eggs under my bed for the entire winter I forgot about and they were fine months later when I ate them. I can't eat that many though, but drinking them is a different story 😀

Haha nah man this one really is my personal office. I've been doing this for 4 years now and used to have a much more suspicious selection of things, like an external battery charger loaded with 18650 batteries, four vapes and my phone didn't used to do fast charging due to a broken cable so I used to stay all morning.

I had a bit of luck though because another bum came, I dunno why but I was kinda pissed off about it. I researched property prices in the area and selected this gym based on thinking there wouldn't be other bums there. But he didn't atcually use the gym and had the $7 membership where you just get a tag and don't participate in their gym stuff and can't take friends, maybe even not 24 hour access but I'm not sure. I always had the full membership and the big gym had some social issues. Mainly that it turns into a babysitting service for loser teenagers who can't lift at 3pm every day.

I don't even know how to describe this shit. I don't even want to call it gay, because at least gay guys atcually fuck each other and usually not in eyeshot of me, these guys do nothing at all. It's the weirdest behaviour I've ever seen, they group up and take their shirts of in the middle of the fucking gym, and point at.. stuff on each other's little prepubescent bodies. Like if you even remotely acted like this at my school in the 90s you'd be missing limbs.

So instead of addressing that they opened up a R18 gym across the road and jacked up the price to beyond pocket money reach. And no $7 membership bums allowed either. So now the other bum is stuck over there literly looking at other men's dicks and I'm here drying my hair with a hair dryer that's not chained to the wall.

He caught me on the street the other day and was probing pretty hard for my whereabouts lately, I told him I couldn't figure out how to change my watch for daylight savings time so been going an hour earlier. He offered to do it for me and it got awkward because the watch is not for telling time at all. I walked around the beach way and snuck into the new gym through the back and went and watched TV in the meditation room until he fucked off. I think he's too much of a retard to figure all this out, I hope so at least. I saw him get violent with a tourist at the beach once and keep my hand wrapped around the handle in my pocket when he's around.

Since I needed this place a lot more than most members and was there at all hours of the day and night I had the opportunity to solve a few problems that came up they liked me there. I also make sure the government pays my bill on time 😀

I also had an eye contact and smile relationship going on with the cleaners. It's gotta be a pretty intimidating prospect for a teenage girl to have to go into a mens gym locker ten times a day. Must be so depressing knowing you'll probably have to breed with one of those fucks from school who can't lift

She was doing that thing where she pretends to be looking at the floor not your dick but I was clothed and broke the ice with "don't worry, I never shower" but now thanks to the new place that's no longer true. Day 39 of showering today!

I told the government my rent went up and showed them the receipts and now they pay for it. Then parked my van at the park that separates the two gyms, so I walk 50m one way for the private shower and meditation place, or 50m the other for powerlifting platforms and hacksquats and hardcore gear.

The new one has tons of expensive recovery gear that you just couldn't leave around at the other place. And lockers don't have locks, it's just assumed nobody will steal your shit, and they won't 😀

So to answer your question bro, nah these are private little bathrooms all to myself =)

Nice bro! I like your style. I can't fucking stand those guys who try to go back instead of embrace the minivan, tons of my friends are pussies like that. I got a 1996 Toyota Estima, already converted by a tourist for $2000 USD and I was surprised at how much space they have inside, I was comfortable in there. I atcually only just got my current Ford Transit van two weeks before I joined Evo, that's why I looks so ghetto haha. I do have plans to fix it up 😉

So I spent all winter and atcually since December last year in the Estima and it was great. Jay Cutler said you have to live in a box haha. It's parked over the other side of the park still, it's registration just automatically expired, I'm trying to use mindfulness techniques to make it go away.

You in particular really made me think about a lot of my perceptions and I think changed a lot of my plans too haha. I was always attracted to powerliifting and high intensity stuff like Mike Mentzer style but he's a professional body builder and I'm a bum who lives at the park so have different challenges and I need to adapt. This time last year it wasn't so obvious why that was the wrong path at this point in my lifting life.

The way you like to stay cut year around and don't do extreme bulking is how I want to roll too. Also the organic single ingredient focus is inline with how I approach it too. You know the downsides of the food industry so well and your fasting stuff is honestly refreshing in this scene. Looking at lifters from the outside lots of people are stuck like I was and you need a restart sometimes I think, once I adopted every idea that made sense to me from you, @Mobster or @LevButlerov instead of mentally over analysing everything and trying to find holes. Learning through experience is the only way for me, book knowledge has to come second else I end up a few decades behind, still reading... but learning via your podcast and the forum by trying everything asap is working so well 😀

Haha that's true bro 😀 and thanks I've been working on how to do it for a few weeks, I want to find a mix between journal and raw numbers so people can take what they want and ignore the rest. Got my tracker watch charged again now I'll have good sleep and heart rate data to add. You should check out the podcast episode the guys just dropped a couple of hours ago, it's on the subject of logging formats and details 😀

I think I've found a good middle ground with legs. I always loved leg training, I used to be really into skateboarding which was pretty leg focused haba but with lifting I specifically fell in love with the hacksquat and reading the notes of the crazy guy who invented that it blew me away how he was talking about people like they were machines and making these huge contraptions to do super difficult to preform movements. He made it sound like he was dancing with his knees at the bottom of a hacksquat rep and was grinding it out. Pretty amazing legacy that a machine you invented is in every city in the world 100 years later. That same dude also invented the bench press.

yeah i have done it all in the past. i was big into bulking due to my 'small man syndrome' i grew up with always being the skinny kid in school. got heavy into powerlifting which was my roots. but because i got tired of being always injured i transitioned to where i am now. who knows maybe in my 50's i could change again

anyway glad you enjoy the podcast. one thing i aim to do is educate people and make them see the light on things they never even thought about.. that is important to me. other bodybuilding podcasts that talk about the stuff just put on 'thin info' as i call it. like they will say "you need test in a cycle" or "you can't run orals only" or "you can't bulk on tren" .... okay that is an opinion but WHY? what is the science behind those opinions? they just put out thin info, cause its just cause they want traffic and views, not because they want to put out quality. and they have nothing to offer aside from slam their ass with roids, eat a lot of protein, and lift heavy weights. so that is why this podcast is different and the good thing is the producers of the show don't care about clicks and drama. they just want good quality info out there to help people.

I agree with all that, and you're definitely helping people :) I don't talk much about the year I wasted on other podcasts when I was just starting to actively research a few years ago, namely the Steriods Podcast but it was just as you described there pretty much haha. By a Thailand based passport bro/internet grifter where he just gets them OTC from Thai pharmacies and has zero advice about anything practical to acquire them or anything and then looking back some of the shit he said wasn't just wrong but also dangerous. It's only value outside of comedy was the people he interviewed were often cool and knowledgeable. But those platforms are so locked down about this topic it's honestly all I could find via them at first, and I was looking pretty hard... not having a desktop computer where I'm free and instead using apps on a phone means searches will be censored and search results become useless so it took a while to wade through all the shit and find your podcast and through that find the forum 😀

The other day @LevButlerov asked me if I do push-ups and pull-ups. I've been doing assisted pull-ups for about 6 months, started doing weekly when I got the PT but I never really progressed with the machine. I wasent doing push ups though and want to start.

One of my lifting goals is to be able to do bodyweight pull-ups, I cannot currently do even a single one. I usually put the pin for the counter weight on the assisted pull-up machine at 60kg or 70kg and aim for 3 sets of 12, and usually find them challenging enough that I bail halfway sometimes if I'm doing them at the end if the session.

Warmup

5 minutes on the treadmill then five minutes on the stairmaster at level 8 intensity for 1 minute then level 5 for 4. Cleared a few floorsloads of stairs but it was hard work

I agree with all that, and you're definitely helping people :) I don't talk much about the year I wasted on other podcasts when I was just starting to actively research a few years ago, namely the Steriods Podcast but it was just as you described there pretty much haha. By a Thailand based passport bro/internet grifter where he just gets them OTC from Thai pharmacies and has zero advice about anything practical to acquire them or anything and then looking back some of the shit he said wasn't just wrong but also dangerous. It's only value outside of comedy was the people he interviewed were often cool and knowledgeable. But those platforms are so locked down about this topic it's honestly all I could find via them at first, and I was looking pretty hard... not having a desktop computer where I'm free and instead using apps on a phone means searches will be censored and search results become useless so it took a while to wade through all the shit and find your podcast and through that find the forum 😀
Yeah man anything on social media is 95% trash and 5% good. When I’m looking up home improvement videos it’s the same way. Gotta look at 20 vids to find a good one that isn’t trying to grift and just wants good info

Protein intake is stacked, over 400 g with shakes and eggs on deck is more than enough to drive recovery! Protein KING title incoming.
Steps and sleep are both great numbers, and pinning schedule being tight keeps the cycle smooth. :D @vanlife_gymbum

Assisted pull-ups at 60–70 kg support is decent but if the goal is unassisted bodyweight you’ll want to gradually lower that counterweight each week, even if it means doing fewer reps.
Push-ups are perfect to add in now, they’ll build pressing strength and stability without needing equipment. Volume tonight looked solid even if endurance dipped, so nothing wrong with calling it when you hit the wall.
 
That's not a bad idea bro, I'll have a look around. Quite likely atcually. What really got me about the thing in America with washing the protective layer off eggs is the shelf life is pretty incredible. Like I had trays of eggs under my bed for the entire winter I forgot about and they were fine months later when I ate them. I can't eat that many though, but drinking them is a different story 😀

I think I've found a good middle ground with legs. I always loved leg training, I used to be really into skateboarding which was pretty leg focused haba but with lifting I specifically fell in love with the hacksquat and reading the notes of the crazy guy who invented that it blew me away how he was talking about people like they were machines and making these huge contraptions to do super difficult to preform movements. He made it sound like he was dancing with his knees at the bottom of a hacksquat rep and was grinding it out. Pretty amazing legacy that a machine you invented is in every city in the world 100 years later. That same dude also invented the bench press.
Yeah, over time. You just got to be careful with the hips and knees.

I've heard of it! Zines were really popular here and there's a whacky bookshop in every town called either "the anarchists book store" or as in my new town "the communist bookstore" that are full with the craziest shit. I atcually have an unanswered question related to that, I went in the dude there insisted that I take this book coz it's awesome and I gave it a crack, it was called Temporary Autonomous Zone by Harken Bey (sp?) and had all this shit about pirates and stuff, I was really into phone phreaking back then and I envisioned it was talking about blocking anything satellite from the sky and freedom of information ushering in a new revolution or something, but it was full of exotic words and I didn't really get it and I looked it up later and it's atcually written by the main NAMBLA guy who wants to setup an island away from the government to fuck kids on. This is week 3 of Reta and it’s been a couple months using test? Feeling stronger? Any scale movement? How’s the mirror look?

Just over a month on the reta and probably six weeks on test, it's day 39. I'll take another picture in that same spot so you can see. Down roughly 3kg, it used to hover over 80 sometimes 85, now usually below 78kg. This lady who also lives in a van came over the other day and she was all over me grabbing my arms and shit so something must have happened.

Definitely going to make it bro, it's atcually nice not harsh. I wrote about how easy it is yesterday or the day before but I don't think that point gets across haha. I also thought drinking eggs would be gross up until last week so can't really blame them. Or maybe they just don't eat to take in 20 eggs a day as badly as I do. I swear they're healing me man. Above what the testosterone was already doing.

Thanks man that sounds reasonable, I'll play with it and see what I can do. I tried to do a bodyweight pull-ups while Dave was here but it didn't work. Not even close I'd say, I was meaning to practice just the downwards part but started using the assisted machine instead.

I got a 1996 Toyota Estima, already converted by a tourist for $2000 USD and I was surprised at how much space they have inside, I was comfortable in there. I atcually only just got my current Ford Transit van two weeks before I joined Evo, that's why I looks so ghetto haha. I do have plans to fix it up 😉

So I spent all winter and atcually since December last year in the Estima and it was great. Jay Cutler said you have to live in a box haha. It's parked over the other side of the park still, it's registration just automatically expired, I'm trying to use mindfulness techniques to make it go away.

I was not about to tell the government that I'm homeless and get an ID badge or whatever they want, but it happened and it's atcually been awesome. It's like an invisibility cloak. I'm committing vehicle registration violations even the cops would struggle to process, so they don't, but they needed me to be registered as homeless to make the shit go away on their end.. once that happened the keys to the city appeared in my imaginary letterbox. I like to stay in the same place to make it easy on them, we can be friends and I don't want to hide from them, I'm not causing them any specific trouble.

Haha nah man this one really is my personal office. I've been doing this for 4 years now and used to have a much more suspicious selection of things, like an external battery charger loaded with 18650 batteries, four vapes and my phone didn't used to do fast charging due to a broken cable so I used to stay all morning.

I had a bit of luck though because another bum came, I dunno why but I was kinda pissed off about it. I researched property prices in the area and selected this gym based on thinking there wouldn't be other bums there. But he didn't atcually use the gym and had the $7 membership where you just get a tag and don't participate in their gym stuff and can't take friends, maybe even not 24 hour access but I'm not sure. I always had the full membership and the big gym had some social issues. Mainly that it turns into a babysitting service for loser teenagers who can't lift at 3pm every day.

I don't even know how to describe this shit. I don't even want to call it gay, because at least gay guys atcually fuck each other and usually not in eyeshot of me, these guys do nothing at all. It's the weirdest behaviour I've ever seen, they group up and take their shirts of in the middle of the fucking gym, and point at.. stuff on each other's little prepubescent bodies. Like if you even remotely acted like this at my school in the 90s you'd be missing limbs.

So instead of addressing that they opened up a R18 gym across the road and jacked up the price to beyond pocket money reach. And no $7 membership bums allowed either. So now the other bum is stuck over there literly looking at other men's dicks and I'm here drying my hair with a hair dryer that's not chained to the wall.

He caught me on the street the other day and was probing pretty hard for my whereabouts lately, I told him I couldn't figure out how to change my watch for daylight savings time so been going an hour earlier. He offered to do it for me and it got awkward because the watch is not for telling time at all. I walked around the beach way and snuck into the new gym through the back and went and watched TV in the meditation room until he fucked off. I think he's too much of a retard to figure all this out, I hope so at least. I saw him get violent with a tourist at the beach once and keep my hand wrapped around the handle in my pocket when he's around.

Since I needed this place a lot more than most members and was there at all hours of the day and night I had the opportunity to solve a few problems that came up they liked me there. I also make sure the government pays my bill on time 😀

I also had an eye contact and smile relationship going on with the cleaners. It's gotta be a pretty intimidating prospect for a teenage girl to have to go into a mens gym locker ten times a day. Must be so depressing knowing you'll probably have to breed with one of those fucks from school who can't lift

She was doing that thing where she pretends to be looking at the floor not your dick but I was clothed and broke the ice with "don't worry, I never shower" but now thanks to the new place that's no longer true. Day 39 of showering today!

I told the government my rent went up and showed them the receipts and now they pay for it. Then parked my van at the park that separates the two gyms, so I walk 50m one way for the private shower and meditation place, or 50m the other for powerlifting platforms and hacksquats and hardcore gear.

The new one has tons of expensive recovery gear that you just couldn't leave around at the other place. And lockers don't have locks, it's just assumed nobody will steal your shit, and they won't 😀

Never really heard about Home Depot, but Walmart is famous for specifically allowing people to stay overnight in their carparks.

Eggs in that amount will definitely hit different, 20 a day is serious intake and if your body feels better on it then you’re onto something. Test already does the heavy lifting but when you layer in that kind of nutrition it’s no surprise you feel like you’re healing faster. :D

On the pull ups, starting with assisted is the right move, negatives will build you up over time. Don’t stress not getting a bodyweight rep yet, just keep chipping away and strength there will come back same way your other lifts have. @vanlife_gymbum

Day 39: Testosterone & Retatrutide

Did 22,452 steps today, mostly in the wind and rain.

Got 7 hours 16 minutes sleep last night and woke up to the rain thundering on the roof at 7:17am.

Before I left I had a 5 egg, 3 scoop shake for 101g protein but that was a mistake. I thought because it was gonna be hard in the weather I should have energy but it slowed me down and was uncomfortable.

That's the first time I've not done fasted walking in the morning and won't do that again.

I walked 5km into the city to get my methadone dose and go to my volunteer job. It was a hard slog and I was knackered by the time I got to the ship. I didn't do much work but I ate four of these sandwich quarters and an orange at morning tea time:

Been on the reta EOD dosing schedule for two or three weeks now and feel my dose is good. It's leveled out to not being super noticeable unless I push it. I'm getting better at listening to the signs and be able to predict consequences before swallowing which is honestly a super power.

Retatrutide is such amazing technology and pairing it with testosterone for my first cycle was a perfect decision I think. I have @LevButlerov and the forum to thank for that 😀

Once you figure out the smaller mcg measurements, IU units on the micro-needles and have reconstituted your peptide and pulled your dose the atcual injection is simple and painless, just requires a new technique.

I pinch a fold of upper leg skin and pin the tiny pin into the fat, it stings a bit but it's super easy once you've done it a couple of times:

I was going to do my heavy leg day at the big gym tomorrow night, but since today at the ship was easy and I've recovered from the rough walk this morning and because they've been on my mind I did another bar-squats focused session in the Nautilus gym, so I can have a hot and private shower afterwards and hit the massage chairs and nice recovery equipment and spend an extra hour or so there.

It's Saturday night and storming outside so it's pretty damn nice to be able to hang out I'm a sweet gym like this where everyone is friendly or keen or fit or hot and nobody will steal your stuff.

Threw in one set of Eazy-bar Curls just to have a break from the squat rack then did one more round, I have to walk into the city and back to go to the pharmacy tomorrow so probably shouldn't cripple myself. Probably take a rest day from lifting and just do the walk tomorrow.

I plan to become more frequent with calf work. I let it skide way to often and that's one thing my PT constantly threw into gaps but now it's up to me to stay on top of.

On my heavy leg day when I go to the big gym to use the hacksquat and powerliifting platform I'll use the calf-raise machines, there's both seated and standing machines and my PT showed me how to do it with the leg press also.

I atcually get a lot out of bodyweight calf raises and would be sweet with those but forget them. I have been taking my notebook lately but only recording with it, I should loosely plan out a workout when I know the gym won't be busy, at least list all the exercises.
 
Day 35: Shots, Shakes & Squats

A roadblock for me lately has been charging my watch, it only has a usb-c cable and I didn't have any plugs with those ports but today I bought one and the watch is back to 100% charged so got my continuous heart rate monitoring and sleep data back as of a few hours ago.

I took feedback on board and tried to adjust my grip and stance, used a weight plate to put my heels on again.

My Swedish friends advice to point my elbows down worked too, my grip and control of the bar feels much better and more stable now. The bar has grooves on it and I was putting my hands over the outside line, now changed to inside, I put my hands where I've highlighted:

I also tried what I think @toddthelineman was saying to not unload the movement, instead of going all the way down and then go back up in a second movement, I go almost all the way down and back up in what feels move like one movement. I don't quite get everything that's happening here but thanks for that bro, definitely given me something new to think about and figure out.

Day 35: Shots, Shakes & Squats
slow and steady

A roadblock for me lately has been charging my watch, it only has a usb-c cable and I didn't have any plugs with those ports but today I bought one and the watch is back to 100% charged so got my continuous heart rate monitoring and sleep data back as of a few hours ago.

I made myself at home in the bathrooms at the gym and plugged in my blender and watch and all my other shit to charge

I took feedback on board and tried to adjust my grip and stance, used a weight plate to put my heels on again.

My Swedish friends advice to point my elbows down worked too, my grip and control of the bar feels much better and more stable now. The bar has grooves on it and I was putting my hands over the outside line, now changed to inside, I put my hands where I've highlighted:

I also tried what I think @toddthelineman was saying to not unload the movement, instead of going all the way down and then go back up in a second movement, I go almost all the way down and back up in what feels move like one movement. I don't quite get everything that's happening here but thanks for that bro, definitely given me something new to think about and figure out.

Day 39: Testosterone & Retatrutide

Did 22,452 steps today, mostly in the wind and rain.

Got 7 hours 16 minutes sleep last night and woke up to the rain thundering on the roof at 7:17am.

Before I left I had a 5 egg, 3 scoop shake for 101g protein but that was a mistake. I thought because it was gonna be hard in the weather I should have energy but it slowed me down and was uncomfortable.

That's the first time I've not done fasted walking in the morning and won't do that again.

First shake with 5g creitine:

I walked 5km into the city to get my methadone dose and go to my volunteer job. It was a hard slog and I was knackered by the time I got to the ship. I didn't do much work but I ate four of these sandwich quarters and an orange at morning tea time:

We were rained-off most deck work so I didn't do any rust descaling on the crane and had to find inside jobs.

I queued up a bit of Evo podcast action on the watch while indoor labouring:

Today it was the episode about nutrition timing. I love the diet and nutrition episodes, @stevesmi and @Mobster are really experienced in this area and gave me a few things to think about, I'm going to relisten to it when I can take notes:

I waited until I got back this afternoon to pin because I was going to get more 1ml barrels from the needle exchange but it was closed.

I was there at 10:40am and it should open at 10am so guess they got caught out in the rain or couldn't be assed 😀

Been on the reta EOD dosing schedule for two or three weeks now and feel my dose is good. It's leveled out to not being super noticeable unless I push it. I'm getting better at listening to the signs and be able to predict consequences before swallowing which is honestly a super power.

Retatrutide is such amazing technology and pairing it with testosterone for my first cycle was a perfect decision I think. I have @LevButlerov and the forum to thank for that 😀

Once you figure out the smaller mcg measurements, IU units on the micro-needles and have reconstituted your peptide and pulled your dose the atcual injection is simple and painless, just requires a new technique.

I pinch a fold of upper leg skin and pin the tiny pin into the fat, it stings a bit but it's super easy once you've done it a couple of times:

I was going to do my heavy leg day at the big gym tomorrow night, but since today at the ship was easy and I've recovered from the rough walk this morning and because they've been on my mind I did another bar-squats focused session in the Nautilus gym, so I can have a hot and private shower afterwards and hit the massage chairs and nice recovery equipment and spend an extra hour or so there.

It's Saturday night and storming outside so it's pretty damn nice to be able to hang out I'm a sweet gym like this where everyone is friendly or keen or fit or hot and nobody will steal your stuff.

I plan to become more frequent with calf work. I let it skide way to often and that's one thing my PT constantly threw into gaps but now it's up to me to stay on top of.

On my heavy leg day when I go to the big gym to use the hacksquat and powerliifting platform I'll use the calf-raise machines, there's both seated and standing machines and my PT showed me how to do it with the leg press also.

I atcually get a lot out of bodyweight calf raises and would be sweet with those but forget them. I have been taking my notebook lately but only recording with it, I should loosely plan out a workout when I know the gym won't be busy, at least list all the exercises.

Thanks bro I'm loving it too. Don't know if it's thr protien increase (doubled) or the fact I'm getting down 20 eggs a day but I'm feeling great from it. This is about the time (week 6) people said I'd feel the test too but I don't think most people atcually start from low test so their experiences differ.

For Reta I started at 2mg a week but was aiming for the 2.5mg recomended but due to how I reconstituted it (10mg reta in 3ml) it was awkward to measure but 2mg lined up nicely on the micro needle to be 600 IU for the 2mg dose.

So when I measure the EOD dose I pull 200IU instead to total just over 2mg a week. I'm not having massive reactions like I was with taking 2mg in one shot.

That’s a solid log and good detail. The walk in that weather is a workout on its own, and 22k steps plus leg work later is heavy output. The 5-egg and 3-scoop shake before walking probably sat too heavy, fasted is better for that kind of long grind so smart call switching back. Protein looks high and consistent, hitting 400 g with tuna and shakes keeps recovery solid. Retatrutide with test enanthate is a good combo, the EOD setup makes sense and you’re handling the dosing right. Nice touch doing extra squats and calves after that day, those small consistent sessions add up fast when you’re putting that much movement in. :D

Haha yeah bro I spent a whole week screwing around with trying to separate out the whites and shit the other week but it was all a waste of time because there's zero taste of eggs, and the colour and texture is atcually nice. In my head all this sounded gross but as soon as I had the first one a switch flipped. They just taste like the artificial banana flavor from the whey powder, yesterday I put a banana in a couple as well as the eggs and that worked good too. I'm telling you guys, it's a cheat code 😀

You definitely can brother and Canada is much more advanced than NZ in this area. You live on Toronto right? I have talked to NEP workers from there. If you let me know your province I'll look up a few details for you but once you figure it out you should be able to go in once every two weeks or so and get everything you need for free or cheap. Needles, tips, wipes, sharps bins, filters, and they'll also dispose of your old sharps bins, you just take them in when you need more clean needles. In Canada you can exchange and get a limited amount of stuff in return at pharmacies too but you may as well go into the exchange and get everything in one go and your choice of gauges, probably only 27g and above at the pharmacy. Anything in particular you'd like to know before you go in? They'll also be able to help you directly there too. I literally told her I used to IV but have never done a muscle injection and she walked me through everything, complete with demonstration, gave me that anabolic ateriod booklet and another on different injection types, and everything else I would need.

They have other services too. I'm working on being able to use their gascromategraph to test anabolics. At least to be able to do heavy metals testing on the oils.

This is one topic I want to try and help with on the forum, to make information about Needle Exchange Programs more accessible to lifters. Very few lifters use them and I think they should. Everyone can easily step up their game using them I believe, even just by having access to more advanced tools. Can easily do trial and error which is near impossible with Amazon or wherever people get them, and touch and see everything to even know what's available. Mine has a giant pin board with one of every tip, barrel and accessory they offer so you can see it all.

I'm familiar with them because I used to be an IV drug user and I realise they might be quite a hurdle for some lifters, there's social stigma around them, etc. But the NEPs have saved both Canada and NZ from a lot of problems other countries with retarded ideas about needle exchange programs suffer from.

I think even just thread with a basic description and pictures of how I use them to safely do self-administered TRT will be useful to some lifters. They are government funded services because they're so important for public health and for good reason, and we should do our part to do everything safely so we don't hurt ourselves or other people. We are after all needle users, doesn't really matter why we use them just that we do and need to manage that.

And I know it's called an exchange but you don't have to swap one for one or anything, or even take dirty ones in at all. But that's one of the key services they offer. So when you go the first time you can get say 10 1ml barrels and 5 3ml barrels, 10 25g long tips and 10 20g short ones for drawing. And a stack of alcohol wipes and a sharps bin. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes but if you use 3ml barrels get a medium sized one else you can choose right up to a floor mounted bucket like at the hospital. I get small ones so they fit in my manbag. I took them to hand them in yesterday but they were closed! Slackers haha. Here's what mine look like:

I take photos of what I get every time but I wouldn't know where to start finding them.. but would you be keen to proof read the guide I'm writing up about the needle exchanges? Trying to add everything I think people would need but be good to get input from someone who's just starting to use the exchange for anabolics which is a completely different thing to street drugs. I'm aiming it at lifters unfamiliar with it, and also for guys trying to self-administer TRT. It's very difficult to get TRT in NZ and guys who want to but don't lift wouldn't even know where to start acquiring it but once I figured all that out I was shocked that through UGLs and at say 150mg/wk it comes out to less than $10 a week.

The Canadian government is also known for high quality booklets in this area. One of their publications became a cult classic 🤣 it's called "Getting Off Right". I'd love to see what they have currently at the needle exchanges there related to IM / muscle injections and anabolic steriods. I scanned the NZ ones and they're in my log but they don't have the needle exchange info you'd find useful to atcually use the exchange.

I'm of the underground hacker side of that fence, I associated with rogue engineers who never commercialed anything they built and I hate big tech and capitalism in computing and corporate surveillance and censorship and all thr modern scams and bullshit that corrput anything good.

I don't have a power set-up in my van at the moment, I just got it a few weeks before joining Evo, which is why it looks so ghetto and I cook on my bed, etc but one of the guys who volunteers on the steam ship with me was cleaning out 50 UPSes at work and asked me how many batteries I wanted haha. I knew he had to transport them so I said six. Gonna give two away to other vanlifers I know but if I can get those hooked up to the alternator and later solar I'll be able to power anything and really looking forward to having screens and a real keyboard and mouse again. So I leave my phone charging in the bathrooms while I listen to Evo podcast from my watch and record reps with the notebook. Got a waterproof case for it the other day! 😀

I can't program at all on my phone so haven't been since my last van got stolen which was quite a while ago now... It will be really nice to make little scripts to manage my Evo log, like pull data off my watch and from tracker apps and correlate them... to copy/paste into Evo. I also thought it would be handy to have a little script to gather my daily log entires and compile them into one web page or PDF and stick a link to it in my forum signature.

So when you go the first time you can get say 10 1ml barrels and 5 3ml barrels, 10 25g long tips and 10 20g short ones for drawing. And a stack of alcohol wipes and a sharps bin. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes but if you use 3ml barrels get a medium sized one else you can choose right up to a floor mounted bucket like at the hospital. I get small ones so they fit in my manbag. I took them to hand them in yesterday but they were closed! Slackers haha. Here's what mine look like:

I take photos of what I get every time but I wouldn't know where to start finding them.. but would you be keen to proof read the guide I'm writing up about the needle exchanges? Trying to add everything I think people would need but be good to get input from someone who's just starting to use the exchange for anabolics which is a completely different thing to street drugs. I'm aiming it at lifters unfamiliar with it, and also for guys trying to self-administer TRT. It's very difficult to get TRT in NZ and guys who want to but don't lift wouldn't even know where to start acquiring it but once I figured all that out I was shocked that through UGLs and at say 150mg/wk it comes out to less than $10 a week.

The Canadian government is also known for high quality booklets in this area. One of their publications became a cult classic 🤣 it's called "Getting Off Right". I scanned the NZ ones and they're in my log but they don't have the needle exchange info you'd find useful to atcually use the exchange.

Gonna give two away to other vanlifers I know but if I can get those hooked up to the alternator and later solar I'll be able to power anything and really looking forward to having screens and a real keyboard and mouse again. So I leave my phone charging in the bathrooms while I listen to Evo podcast from my watch and record reps with the notebook. Got a waterproof case for it the other day! 😀

I can't program at all on my phone so haven't been since my last van got stolen which was quite a while ago now... It will be really nice to make little scripts to manage my Evo log, like pull data off my watch and from tracker apps and correlate them... to copy/paste into Evo. I also thought it would be handy to have a little script to gather my daily log entires and compile them into one web page or PDF and stick a link to it in my forum signature.
I'll look into the needle exchange thing. I think the closest one is pretty far downtown...so it might not be worth the drive lol. In Toronto it take 30 mins to get 7km a lot of the time. Our traffic is brutal.

Are those UPSes functioning? If so you could just pull up somewhere and charge them every once and while and you'd have power. Plug it in at the gym while you train or somethn.

They're industrial grade and weigh a lot, it's hard to pick even just the battery up. Gonna build a housing for them out of old pallets

There should be a sticker or plate on it somewhere that tells you how many watts (w) it is and an amp hour rating (ah). I install a fair amount of UPSes. I actually just bought a couple yesterday for a veterinary hospital. An industrial one could be a sweet score cuz they're not money.
 
Retatrutide with test enanthate is a good combo, the EOD setup makes sense and you’re handling the dosing right.

For where I am currently it's amazing. The reta allows me to change lots of long established habits and behaviours and set myself up for success with the other key areas.

Nice touch doing extra squats and calves after that day, those small consistent sessions add up fast when you’re putting that much movement in. :D

Thanks very much bro :) That's a more positive way to frame it. Kinda seemed like bailing half way through on paper but those bar squats really do me in. The first set seems sweet and I wonder if I overestimated them, then the second and third I'm struggling the last four reps, forth set struggling and grunting, and after that I usually need to rest between reps and have like five minute breaks or do something else before I can do more. This is one thing I'm focusing on though, I really want this to be part of my routine.

The other thing I want to start focusing on is going to those 6:15am 30 minute assault bike classes. They're Mon - Fri and I think if I could do that it'd really kick things up a notch with fat loss. Over the next two months I want to build a strong cardio base that I can maintain without too mich though while I go through periods focusing heavily on progressing with lifting.

Oh true 😀 I'm atcually not very good with electrical stuff so would be very keen to hear what you think. I managed to hook my my last battery to the alternator with a battery box and that was all I needed but I just bought an off the shelf system. These are the new batteries, already ditched the UPSes but there was many more of them. These are the batteries:

Day 35: Shots, Shakes & Squats
slow and steady

A roadblock for me lately has been charging my watch, it only has a usb-c cable and I didn't have any plugs with those ports but today I bought one and the watch is back to 100% charged so got my continuous heart rate monitoring and sleep data back as of a few hours ago.

I made myself at home in the bathrooms at the gym and plugged in my blender and watch and all my other shit to charge

I took feedback on board and tried to adjust my grip and stance, used a weight plate to put my heels on again.

My Swedish friends advice to point my elbows down worked too, my grip and control of the bar feels much better and more stable now. The bar has grooves on it and I was putting my hands over the outside line, now changed to inside, I put my hands where I've highlighted:

I also tried what I think @toddthelineman was saying to not unload the movement, instead of going all the way down and then go back up in a second movement, I go almost all the way down and back up in what feels move like one movement. I don't quite get everything that's happening here but thanks for that bro, definitely given me something new to think about and figure out.

Day 40: Slow and Steady

7 hours 24 minutes sleep last night, woke at 7:52am.

17,455 steps and unlikely to move again tonight.

It was raining again today and I walked to the city again but I didn't make the mistake of having a shake first and did it fasted.

I had a conversation with @toddthelineman about caffeine addiction sitting at a trendy alternative cafe and had a long black espresso and had a think about it.

The place also does shisha but I didn't even notice until the way out. The long black was strong, hard to get that high pressure black gold from home setups.

I'm never going to stop for good, but I've never stopped at all since I was 12 so I don't really know what is feels like to not have caffeine in my system, which is pretty crazy.

A tolerance reset would be good at least, give my heart a break too. I'm on the final stage of my nicotine patch program too and will soon be off those. I threw the last few sheets of lozenges in the bin on the way to the gym.

So I think I'll take @toddthelineman suggestion and quit completely for three months. I'll taper off with the nicotine and aim to be off both in 21 days time and stop completely caffeine for a month then reassess. I'm completely done with nicotine for good though, after 27 years.

I have continuous heart rate monitoring on my Samsung tracker watch so it will be interesting to track the changes in my heart rate as I cut them out.

Yesterday was my carb refeeding day but today back to just egg-shakes. I've beem feeling great. Atcually nourished by the eggs and protein. This is the right path for me at the moment and I've just gotta keep going down it.

I didn't really have a plan at the gym tonight but it was fun to be there. Although there's not the same huge selection of everything like at the big gym I think it's got a well thought out core set of stuff and since I'm still a beginner it would be good to master all the machines and other tools here.

I just enjoyed playing with the machines tonight and did a bunch of pulldown variations, some dumbell shrugs and machine rows as as well as the Nautilus Row machine which I can't think of an equivalent of with the hammer strength of startrack machines across the road.

I saw someone dragged a bench into the smith machine and was bench pressing with it. I've never used a smith machine but was pretty easy to figure out the correct bench press position. There was already a 20kg plate either side when I arrived which I tried and it was really heavy, I did 2 reps and thought better of it and put a 10kg plate either side

How to you record this? Is it the 20kg total? Because when people say things like "two plates" that would mean 2 on each side right? The bar thing itself seemed to weight nothing, it's a Nautilus smith machine.

Doesn't give anywhere near the resistance of an olympic bar which is why I put the plates on, I did some test reps with no weight but it didn't provide enough resistance to be very useful.

I think I'll need to research the smith machine as this is atcually the only bench press option in this particular gym. I want to get better with cables next. They're well catered for at this gym and there's a full double sized one and three stand alone ones, well placed in proximity to each other.

The cable stations are part of an even bigger Nautilus multi-station machine with many heads, I'll get a photo of the entire thing some time when I have the gym to myself, this pic is of the end that I used to do Lat Pulldowns:

Thinking about experienmenting with GW Cardarine sometime and want to see how others found it. Both the endurance and fat loss benefits are interesting to me and I really want to make a push to have high level cardio.

I think I can make a big push throughout spring and summer months since steps are high as an easy baseline, I'm out a lot and going swimming and to the beach and it's just generally easier to be active when the weather is pleasant.

I'm going to do something different in winter but for the next six months I want to stay focused on my current goals of losing my gut and tits, which I've had my entire adult life and want to be rid of for good finally.

The place I got Nolvadex from has it for $99 for 30 x 10mg. So two bottles for a 8 week cycle at 10mg a day, which looks to be a fairly mild cycle of it.

After lifting I settled into my office to let all my stuff charge up while I had my daily shower 😄

Regarding the bench press, you can't just use dumbbells? Also, for recording the weight on the smith bench press, I usually just write something like total weight (+ bar).

Yep could definitely do that, more of a skill issue with those though. I never heavily used them and aren't very good. Spent 6 months with. PT who threw in two db based exercises a week and know the basics but I love how some people can just intuitively figure out what db move to use. There's tons of standalone benches there and incline ones too just not any barbells apart from the squat rack. I basically only used chest press for chest specifically.

I made sure I had it before I started injecting testosterone because I thought it would be an emergency measure if I started getting atcual bitch tits, but I'm now not so sure that would even work. Was easier to acquire than the new AIs at the time.

I also have one sheet of pharmaceutical Anastrozole and now understand how things work in NZ a bit better and have a good contact in @SaintSoup from Life Forge, they're a local peptides company who's sponsoring my testosterone and retatrutide log. Not a steriod vendor or lab but I'd be able to get things like Arimidex very quickly from him which is comforting.

I'm still interested in AIs though, just no experience. I love the idea of guys using other steriods to manage it, that's genius. Thinking of my first cycle being 300 Test, 300 EQ and 20mg Anavar in a few months time when summer starts.

Edit: just spotted my vague gramma which may have prompted your question, I meant to say the store I bought Nolvadex from in the past, NZSarms, also sells GW for $99 for 30. They seemed expensive at first but if their Anavar is real then I'll pay it. Would be $300 for enough Anavar for the 8 week cycle which isn't so bad. Just seemed like they'd halved the strength of pills and doubled the price.

Re DB bench press, it will take a little to get used to stability wise but after that it's pretty straight forward and one of the best pressing exercises I reckon. Better for your shoulders than BB bench press.

Yeah I've been having big issues with high E2. Not long ago (when I knew a lot less), I assumed that anyone running T at cycle doses (300+) would need to run an AI and that even a lot of TRT people would. In reality, some people seem to be able to run 500/week and not need an AI and most on TRT don't need one.

I'm one of the unlucky ones who definitely needs it for T only. My E2 was 360 (range is <160) on just 130/week.

I'm about change from 450/week Test to around 300-350 Test plus the same EQ and hoping the will significantly reduce my need for AI. Sounds like Primo is the best for this but apparently there is a worldwide shortage.

I got Nolvadex when I saw how high my E2 was and starting feeling some heat / sensitivity in my nipples. Just recently I think there is some small new lumps there (hard to tell as I have gyno from adolescents). I think after my blood test this week I will start it.

Can you get free blood tests over there? Might be worth doing that and checking your levels before jumping on?

Aw too bad the UPSes are gone. That's the expensive part. You can charge these batteries off your alternator but you'd probably want to change the alternator to a higher output if you end up with a full battery bank. Then all you need is an inverter and you're good to go.

Thinking about experienmenting with GW Cardarine sometime and want to see how others found it. Both the endurance and fat loss benefits are interesting to me and I really want to make a push to have high level cardio.

I think I can make a big push throughout spring and summer months since steps are high as an easy baseline, I'm out a lot and going swimming and to the beach and it's just generally easier to be active when the weather is pleasant.

I'm going to do something different in winter but for the next six months I want to stay focused on my current goals of losing my gut and tits, which I've had my entire adult life and want to be rid of for good finally.

The place I got Nolvadex from has it for $99 for 30 x 10mg. So two bottles for a 8 week cycle at 10mg a day, which looks to be a fairly mild cycle of it.

After lifting I settled into my office to let all my stuff charge up while I had my daily shower 😄

Ahh true, that would make sense. Do you use them? It's atcually cool being able to add just standard bench press back in, always been weird with that because I'm usually alone and have to keep weight sensible with no squatter but I could learn the safety catches on this machine well enough I think.

They always gave me the creeps, in some configurations they seem super dangerous or like they are making your body move to its will not the other way around. I don't know what I'm talking about just never felt right so I never took the time to learn about it.

Seems like a very flash one to me, new at least I atcually saw them take it out of the box haha. Those pillars are thick, and probably have all the counterbalance weights and shit in those? this is another shot of it:

I figured for that. I was at planet fitness with a chick. Hadn’t hit the gym in a while, loaded it up and was way too easy but I figured work had kept my muscles strong. But then I was lifting more than I did before hahaha. Whatever lol

My friend was keen as and I thought I should go with him so I could die falling not being crushed and we were presented with four unmarked levers, one made it go left, one right, one tilted it and the other made a giant loud fucking noise and I almost tried to dive into the ocean it scared the shit out of me. The cabin is about 40 metres up and a crackhead died in January trying to jump off the top so I thought better of it.
Turns out it's the counterbalance weight for the fucking crane. It was built in the 20s ans says it can pick up 80 Tons, but I think it's more like 40T but with the counterbalance weight you can do another 40T if you knew how. The giant noise was because the 'screw' holding the crane in was about to wind off, like run out of thread, meaning the giant 100 meter steam crane would be falling into the ocean or onto the port. We were making jokes about how we might die and all the while we're about two random decisions with unknown levers away from killing a bunch of people. No red tape tho 😂

For where I am currently it's amazing. The reta allows me to change lots of long established habits and behaviours and set myself up for success with the other key areas.



Thanks very much bro :) That's a more positive way to frame it. Kinda seemed like bailing half way through on paper but those bar squats really do me in. The first set seems sweet and I wonder if I overestimated them, then the second and third I'm struggling the last four reps, forth set struggling and grunting, and after that I usually need to rest between reps and have like five minute breaks or do something else before I can do more. This is one thing I'm focusing on though, I really want this to be part of my routine.

The other thing I want to start focusing on is going to those 6:15am 30 minute assault bike classes. They're Mon - Fri and I think if I could do that it'd really kick things up a notch with fat loss. Over the next two months I want to build a strong cardio base that I can maintain without too mich though while I go through periods focusing heavily on progressing with lifting.
You’re in a great spot right now, retatrutide clearly helping with structure and consistency. Those bar squats sound brutal but that grind is where the progress happens, just keep them part of the plan. Adding those early assault bike classes will push fat loss fast and build the cardio base you want without taking from lifting. :D

Yea I like smith machines. I'm hoping to add one to my home gym setup. A lot of companies are starting to design rack integrated smith machines so I'm waiting for them to fine tune one and then I'll buy. The Smith machine is more like using an actual machine versus a barbell and I'm always looking for ways to fit more machines into my home gym
 
Day 40: Slow and Steady

7 hours 24 minutes sleep last night, woke at 7:52am.

17,455 steps and unlikely to move again tonight.

It was raining again today and I walked to the city again but I didn't make the mistake of having a shake first and did it fasted.

I had a conversation with @toddthelineman about caffeine addiction sitting at a trendy alternative cafe and had a long black espresso and had a think about it.

The place also does shisha but I didn't even notice until the way out. The long black was strong, hard to get that high pressure black gold from home setups.

I'm never going to stop for good, but I've never stopped at all since I was 12 so I don't really know what is feels like to not have caffeine in my system, which is pretty crazy.

A tolerance reset would be good at least, give my heart a break too. I'm on the final stage of my nicotine patch program too and will soon be off those. I threw the last few sheets of lozenges in the bin on the way to the gym.

So I think I'll take @toddthelineman suggestion and quit completely for three months. I'll taper off with the nicotine and aim to be off both in 21 days time and stop completely caffeine for a month then reassess. I'm completely done with nicotine for good though, after 27 years.

I have continuous heart rate monitoring on my Samsung tracker watch so it will be interesting to track the changes in my heart rate as I cut them out.

Yesterday was my carb refeeding day but today back to just egg-shakes. I've beem feeling great. Atcually nourished by the eggs and protein. This is the right path for me at the moment and I've just gotta keep going down it.

I didn't really have a plan at the gym tonight but it was fun to be there. Although there's not the same huge selection of everything like at the big gym I think it's got a well thought out core set of stuff and since I'm still a beginner it would be good to master all the machines and other tools here.

I just enjoyed playing with the machines tonight and did a bunch of pulldown variations, some dumbell shrugs and machine rows as as well as the Nautilus Row machine which I can't think of an equivalent of with the hammer strength of startrack machines across the road.

I saw someone dragged a bench into the smith machine and was bench pressing with it. I've never used a smith machine but was pretty easy to figure out the correct bench press position. There was already a 20kg plate either side when I arrived which I tried and it was really heavy, I did 2 reps and thought better of it and put a 10kg plate either side

How to you record this? Is it the 20kg total? Because when people say things like "two plates" that would mean 2 on each side right? The bar thing itself seemed to weight nothing, it's a Nautilus smith machine.

Doesn't give anywhere near the resistance of an olympic bar which is why I put the plates on, I did some test reps with no weight but it didn't provide enough resistance to be very useful.

I think I'll need to research the smith machine as this is atcually the only bench press option in this particular gym. I want to get better with cables next. They're well catered for at this gym and there's a full double sized one and three stand alone ones, well placed in proximity to each other.

The cable stations are part of an even bigger Nautilus multi-station machine with many heads, I'll get a photo of the entire thing some time when I have the gym to myself, this pic is of the end that I used to do Lat Pulldowns:

Solid day and nice step count, the consistency really shows in how you’re structuring things. The caffeine and nicotine reset will help a lot, your recovery and sleep should improve fast once both are out. Gym work looked steady too, playing around with machines is a good way to build base skill and learn what hits best for you. :D

Indeed! Funny you should say that, we have a points system to evaluate rich immigrants specifically, lots of rich Americans buy bunkers in the countryside and shit like that. But doing community work, like sponsoring a children's rugby team or something that rich people do gets you points. But people misread it and think they can just do volunteer work in the community, not like buy a school to donate to the community which is what it really means, so every now and again we get a random South American girl or a Chinese guy turn up and show them how to descale rust and wonder why they don't return the next Saturday haha.

But if you're serious in the future I could help you get that sorted. I used to do pro-bono forensics work to help myself feel better about doing the bidding of corporations and met a bunch of colourful associates along the way, like elite QC Lawyers who own their own ski resorts, they've gotten me out of trouble a few times but I always make it so they owe me a favor haha.

There's also basically zero consequences to overstaying, it's not like Australia where they've got offshore processing centres and shit. You definitely don't want to mess around in Australia but here it's loose as shit. You'd be able to live pretty normally too, not like in hiding. I gotta try find this Mafia case from the mid 2000s, there was this well known high level drug trafficker, on the FBI most wanted list, Interpol red notices and everything and the was basically just living with this chick he met on the internet who had a horse farm. Like this was in the paper, the US and NZ governments knew he was there. For like ten years, it was mind bending.

I’ll have to work I guess. My get rich schemes haven’t really fruited. If I liquidated evening I could live as a bum for maybe a decade assuming nothing caught up to me. Storing my resources and still accessing them would be tricky. I don’t think I could effectively plan for this without breaking a lot of extra laws. Better to just get down there and play dumb

Thanks a lot bro, I really owe you one for getting me to this point with the shakes. I wouldn't have even thought this was possible as a concept prior to you showing me, and if you recall I atcually rejected it initially, then thought I couldn't afford it.

It basically took completely re-evaluating my diet and mindset and took a few weeks of focused effort and trial and error. I looked back in my log to find where I first started retatrutide (Day 16) and realised that was the last time I've eaten fatty meat / meat at all, and I used to post daily meat photos haha.

Now I'm completely convinced it's possible, but also think my addition of eggs makes it more sustainable for me. I will be able to stay the course, and in a few months when it's summer I will be able to get way more local produce and can eat salad and fruit for a while and then change my diet in winter. I think that's more inline with eating with the seasons anyway, it's one thing that is attractive to me about the lifter lifestyle.

You’ve done the hard part by sticking with it long enough to see how it works for you, and the results show. Retatrutide plus the egg base clearly fits your lifestyle and keeps it sustainable, which is why you’re still progressing. My thoughts are that if you're tolerating 2mg now and it's working for you then soon enough you'll end up at 3mg and even 4mg if you wanted to go long term with the same effects. My advice is to use this 2mg to get a really good habit of what to eat (like you're doing and without the food noise currently) and discipline yourself to stick to that diet so that when you do go half dose for the winter (which isn't a bad idea because with Reta you end up needing more for the same effect over long periods of time) you can downgrade your dose and have the discipline in place to stick to your diet despite some louder food noise. I'd run your 2mg until the end of the year or until you've reached your goal weight and/or BF% and then slowly titrate down expecting some food noise but using the discipline you're learning now with the help of the 2mg dose.
